Kevin is the best. We chatted stories about his time in the record industry and loved the whole experience so much I went back for a second day. If youre looking for old school originals, this is the best spot Ive maybe ever seen. If/when I make it back to LA, Ill be back.
Thank you Kevin and Monet for a carefully packaged shipped purchase. Best record store and owners Ive ever had the pleasure of stumbling into!
Wonderfully eclectic shop. Owners are amazing and engaging people, happy to talk about the history of record collecting in Los Angeles. Stock is vast, but excellent for soundtracks & exotica. Still found mainstream items though. Lot of stock is in absolutely mint condition. Essential stop on the LA vinyl map. Worth negotiating on price if buying several items.
Definitely the coolest record shop I’ve ever been to. It has everything from amazing customer service, old Hollywood memorabilia, and, as the sign says, rare records- and amazing collection at that. I saw several records I typically don’t see at most shops including George Harrison’s “All things must pass”. Everything is neat and organized. The owners are so welcoming and extremely fair in their pricing. You’ve gotta check this spot out.
Incredible hole in the wall record store. Great selection, and super nice and friendly owners!
So much music u cant miss
Really cool store, but not fond of the location.
I got a Laura Nyro record and Ram, by Paul McCartney. The owners are full of good stories. A must.
Hidden Jewel. A Bit Pricey Though But Great Information On History Of Groups From The Owner..
Awesome store to find great deals on vinyl, movies in various formats and tour books. The company will take great care of you and are very educated on all styles/genres of music. Prices are very fair and quality is fantastic!! The best!!!
Top tier store, this. The owner is super friendly and accommodating, as well as an industry legend with a terrifying wall of fame behind the counter (hooked up with Dr Dre on The Chronic, hanging with Quincy Jones..), and the most hectic selections of killer jazz among other things. I found stuff here that I hadn’t found in 25 stores in big cities on the east coast, and for reasonable prices too. Hidden gem down an alleyway.
A rare and special gem in the heart of Hollywood. The record collection is immense and well organized. The owners are truly genuine and knowledgeable in regards to music. Prices are fair and they often offer deals. You are paying for original pieces that you might not find anywhere else. Worth checking out and do yourself and the shop a favor and buy at least one record!
Amazing Amazing Amazing!! What a fantastic place! Just stumbled across the shop walking around Hollywood. The records here are top quality at fair prices, and with the best customer service you can find anywhere!Ill be back again with friends to shop for more!
Great stock, excellently categorized, clean, played good music while I shopped. The guy working there and I talked about the state of record stores, and it was a great experience.
I’ve been shopping for records in CA for years and this shop had many albums I’ve never seen before in other stores or heard of at all. All original. Left with two must have albums for my collection and even a free album. The lady that helped me out was sweet and even dropped the price on my purchase. Highly recommend!
This place was amazing. The owners were the nicest people and talked to us about records and all they have helped musically over the years. Definitely a spot Ill visit when I get back out to LA.
This shop is the best spot for rare joints ive come across so far in LA, the owner Kevin is incredibly knowledgeable and will really look after you, if you let him know what it is your looking for he will do his best to get what you need at fair prices, this spot is also the cleanest Ive been too so far with all the records nicely cleaned and in great order all wrapped up in nice new pvc sleeves..
I walked into this place based on a great article I read about the pristine selection of first pressings and rare albums.Kevin was immediately welcoming, and let me browse but still engaged enough to help me find what I wanted. If youre sick of all the BS new shops filled with reissues and a few crates of junk used...check out As the Record Turns in Hollywood. Not far from Amoeba, worth the walk down Hollywood Blvd past Supper Club and into the cute little artisans alley.
Was visiting from Vancouver and saw that this was near my hotel so decided to pay it a visit. Very happy I did, great conversations with the owners and found a few gems as well. Definitely worth the trip if you are in the area!
A grear place,a bit hidden from the main Street. Excellent selection and owners were very knowledgeable and nice.Recommended!
Walmart was the Christmas tree and moon moon and fun day we are happy to have
Great hidden store next to Hollywood Blvd, full of rare vinyls. Most of them are in great condition and the prices are very reasonable. Lucky find in the middle of all the souvenir shops.
Popped in for a quick lood and fell in love with this store. The woman (ownwer?) who works behind the counter has a wealth of knowledge and is super friendly. She stated several times prices were negotiable, which was nice!
Fantastic vinyl store with tons of rare original records from 60s to 90s. Highly recommended!
One of the record store in business, lots of original funk and rare covers of the 70s, always great to chat with the owner too about those old times...
Awesome place. Felt like home
Excellent store, excellent vibes, even better service......Kevin and Monet are awesome

Sooooo many rare and well priced records!

Lovely place! The owner is a blast with a thousand stories to tell!!
A great collection of rare and original editions
Soul funk very good
Friendly owners. Lots of rare, vintage collection. The price, well, depends if you think it worth or not. For myself, I left empty handed.
