This is a lovely neighborhood café. Its cute, clean and has a nice breakfast/ lunch menu. I really enjoyed the summer drink Purple Haze, perfect and refreshing for the summer..

Travelling from Central Wisconsin and stopped for breakfast. I loved the diversity and compassion. I hope my travels find my way back here again.

Really cool, hipsterish place. Their signature drinks are phenomenal.I loved “cool summer”- not so sweet, not too much coffee taste and so much flavor.“ Dirty snowball” was delicious too but on the sweet side but I still couldn’t stop drinking it.Very spacious and bright; perfect to study.

Had breakfast at the Bodega and noticed this Cafe across the street. Extremely clean inside with friendly staff. The wife an I each got the dirty snowball. One of the best blended ice drinks Ive ever had. If you like peanut butter and espresso its a must!

My partner and I enjoyed a quick breakfast here on our last morning of our vacation. We were looking to dine-in and do that in a reasonable amount of time. Which is exactly what happened! Food was excellent! Extremely fresh and well prepared. The coffee was just the way I like it. Beautiful aesthetic with lots of natural lighting. We ordered the avocado toast and the miners sandwich. Would recommend both.

A super rude customer came in and was very obnoxious about her to go order being seven minutes later than stated in the app. The staff handled it very professionally and were super kind to her, not meeting her rude demeanor but instead being really kind and stating that maybe she was having a bad day after she left. The service was great and the sandwich I got was delicious and served to me promptly, so frankly I dont know what this woman was talking about.

I was in town on vacation for a week and every day, and sometimes multiple times per day, we stopped here for coffee or dessert. Both of which were excellent.

I LOVE this place. After a week of coming here every day, I havent had a drink that I dont like, their crepes are amazing. They have vegetarian options, dairy free options, and gluten free too.Their decaf coffee is one of the very few that I actually like out of the hundreds that Ive tried.Their match is incredible, not too sweet. And their seasonal signature drinks are creative as well as refreshing.Its the perfect place to get some work done if youre a digital nomad – amazing wifi and the music isnt too loud. Plus, ample indoor & outdoor seating, easy parking, plenty of charging outlets that also have USB ports.The staff is friendly and super helpful.If youre in the area for a week or so, check out the bulletin board by the bathrooms. I found a poster for an awesome outdoor summer concert series that made my solo travels so much more fun.10/10 would recommend.

Vacation morning routine: wake up, walk dog to Contrast Coffee, tie dog to railing, order Chai Latte with Coconut milk (delightfully smooth and delicious), untie dog, go for walk around Marquette. Come back later to get coffee for family.This isn’t a coffee shop with a million options for flavors or blends and it doesn’t need to be because they do the ones they have so well. This one has added some food options that look so tempting I might have to stay someday. No matter what I’m doing, Contrast Coffee gets fit into my morning routine. Next fall: Chaider

This is a nice place. The coffee is delicious, and they have some innovative flavor combos, plus, some really cute merch.

I loved this place! Delicious coffee, delicious food, great WiFi, great staff, great seating. I had a a vanilla oat milk latte, vegetarian crepe, and a shot in the dark and they were all notably delicious. To top it off one of the associates actually helped me get my car jump started when I realized it had died throughout the day! He didnt have a car but enlisted the help of his friend next door. Thank you to all of yall for a great experience and for the kind help!

This will have been my second time visiting and contrast coffee. Coffee was spot on point. We enjoyed our monster cookie and chocolate chip toffee scone. My partner really enjoyed the blueberry crepe she ordered. Anytime Im in Marquette, its not complete without a trip to contrast coffee.

Contrast Coffee was very good. We had excellent coffee and awesome breakfast sandwiches. Very, very good!

The worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I ordered a mango smoothie (which lists no other ingredients on the menu) and received a receipt saying whole milk had been selected for the drink. I am lactose intolerant and asked if I could get one with a different milk since I was never asked/ told there was milk in it. I was told Id have to pay for an entirely new drink and the girl refused to even apologize. Thanks for nothing.

Stopped serving food at 2pm. Not sure why, it wasn’t busy, 3 staff members there at 3pm when we were there, one washing up and the other two didn’t seem busy so I just feel like they could have kept the operation going with food. Got my coffee and went to get food somewhere else. Coffee was good!……thanks for the reply from the owner, I observed 4 people get turned down for food, 6 if you include me and my wife, while we sat there with coffee in 30mins, I would honestly say you probably missed out on at least $40-50 of food items in that time and made a few $ on coffee. One customer only came for the food and left. Im sure you track sales appropriately but maybe things are changing with more people being out and about and the already reduced availability of food in most establishments. Thanks again for the reply though. Really enjoyed my coffee.

Grabbed a caramel latte from here this morning and it was quick and delicious. Usually dont like my coffees too bitter and they made it perfectly. All the staff were warm and welcoming. Will come here again

Their coffee drinks are great, but the food was really amazing. This place is so much better than all the other restaurants in town. High quality well made food…and drinks.

Good coffee and good food. Sandwich was a bit overpriced for what it was, but not too bad. Outdoor seating was cute, but the seats werent very comfortable and the wood panels on the tables were far apart, leading to a spilt coffee.

Hands down the best coffee. Maple Black Pepper latte was stellar. Honey lavender the list goes on. Food options are available. Personally have not indulged, but presentation says a lot.

Love love love. This is a great spot, especially if you appreciate the art of coffee and delicious crepes. Our go to place to have a cappuccino...and it’s done proper in a small cup! Everyone that works here is friendly and kind. So glad these guys exist! Thanks for providing great coffee and bites! You guys are so cool.

A coffee shop for people who enjoy light, flavorful beans that being out notes of fruit and chocolate. The food is delicious. Too bad the secret is out and it is becoming crowded for morning breakfast

I got my standard Latte and my nice got the Dirty Snowball. In addition to the coffee drinks, which were DELICIOUS!, we ordered some breakfast for the road. We got a panini breakfast sandwich and the strawberry fields crepe....again, both delicious. But it took soooooo long to get our food orders. We were heading to pictured rocks and only had 15 min for a quick stop at the coffee shop. 35min later, we ran out and rushed to our pre-paid boat trip and were literally the last ones getting on the boat. If we had walked in and there was a line I would have understood, but we walked in and immediately placed our orders. The woman taking our orders was less than friendly, everybody working there appeared moody. The woman making the food, had ZERO sense of urgency and worked in the least efficient way.

Its a beautiful cafe. The service is great even early in the morning. Food and drinks are great!

Gone there in previous years when visiting the UP. The place is very much what you think of when you picture a modern coffee shop, but they have quite a bit more options than you would normally expect. The addition of crepes to the menu of normal coffee shop food is quite the treat.

The cappuccino was not good. Burnt coffee. I got a iced dirty chai and they didn’t put the shot in the chai. The bathrooms were clean.

The drinks here were fantastic, the baked goods were great, and the service was very friendly. The atmosphere of the shop was nice, but we were unfortunately in a hurry and couldn’t stay to enjoy.

Stopped in on a visit from GR based on the reviews. Going back every time I’m in town for the coffee. Hands down the best, puts Starbucks to shame.

While in Marquette for a work trip, I was thrilled to not only find a great place for coffee, but as an added bonus, their crepes and oatmeal were both delicious! I walked here each morning!

Had a café americano and I think that they use blond beans in their espresso. Not my favorite. The shop itself is very nice and the staff is friendly unfortunately the coffee was just not that good.

Recently traveled up from Traverse City with my daughter to visit NMU and stopped for coffee. The vanilla latte I ordered was the best Ive had in recent memory! Super smooth, creamy, delicious and aesthetically pleasing! Will definitely be back next time were up!

Very nice coffee shop with a straight forward menu, its a nice change from having to read over 100 plus items just to wind up picking a vanilla cappuccino...which is exactly what I went with and it was a lovely way to start the day! I took mine to go but was bummed that I didnt get to have the opportunity to sit enjoy the mellow atmosphere. Will be happy to stop in again!

Great new local coffee shop barista even offered me a sparkly water to go by espresso not too many shops that do that these days. Coffee was hot and delicious barista wanted you to be happy. The seasonal selection in the menu is very diverse and unique. Welcome to town!

Went for breakfast on the recommendation of the guys at Ore Dock and we were not disappointed. Hubby has quiche and I had a savoury crape. Both were excellent.

Love the Ethiopian pour over! Great price and great taste. 4 stars given because the bench style table against the front that I sat at was super sticky. I dont think it was a matter of the table not being cleaned, however I do think that the table is worn out and may need to be re varnished/stained. I couldnt roll my sleeves up because my arms would stick to the table, and even a paperback book of mine ripped because of the stickiness pulling some of the cover off.

I dropped by Contrast for a cup of coffee while in Iron Mountain at a volunteer event. The decor is welcoming and warm but minimalist, and the menu is similar. I asked the people working about a pour-over recommendations and their consensus was their Sumatran, which is a medium-dark roast. I enjoyed it thoroughly - a smooth, nutty, not-too-acidic cup of coffee to start my day. I’ll be back before I leave, and if I’m ever near another of their locations I’ll absolutely go out of my way to return.

Friendly service, contemporary design, spacious seating and AMAZING coffee! Bought some beans to enjoy when we return home to Indiana. Out of three places on Marquette this one was our favorite!

The food was pretty good and the coffee was done very well. It should be noted that they ran out of food so try to get their before the rush. Only major hit is that its a little expensive for what you get. Do not bother with the rootbeer its outrageously overpriced.

Walking into this zen garden of peace I cannot explain the immediate impact it has had on my destiny. I entered in as a simple costumer and left having fallen in love, engaged to another customer. The staff were kind enough to officiate our wedding on the spot and then gave us the student discount for our coffee. The second time I visited Contrast, they gifted me the secret to eternal life. It was hidden in one of their crepes and well worth the price, the crepe was also delicious. All in all I must say that this coffee shop raises the bar for what a shop can become. Love is born there and all my fears died there I am a new man. Thank you Contrast Coffee Marquette! For all of the selfless gifts that you have given us!

I come through marquette 2x/year for work and always make a point to stop here. staff is always friendly and they have great coffee. I am also never disappointed by their chai. Now they offer online ordering which makes it super fast/ easy to grab and go!
