Me and my wife walked in Grivet just to look around and man was that a great ideal. We were greeted as soon as we got in. Wish I could remember the name of the employee that helped, but he was amazing. Needless to say we ended up buying, shoes, hats and other things. Great experience all around. Love this store and we will only buy our shoes from them for now on.

Grivet Outdoors is my favorite running shoe store near Memphis. They do a great gait and fit analysis to recommend the right running shoe for you, if you don’t know much about it. They teach you everything along the way and help you make the right choice. I’ve had knee surgery and pain for awhile, so I ended up buying a Hoka Clifton. I love the way the cushion feels under foot. If you’re a runner and haven’t had a real analysis done by a running store staff member, I highly recommend it. There is so much more to know about running shoes than you would think. Thanks for helping me out, Grivet.

This is the only place I’ve found in the Memphis area that keeps a full selection of On Running shoes fully stocked. I’ve bought a few pairs for myself and got some for family as holiday gifts, and they always had the size I’ve needed and a variety of colors to chose from. I have stuck with the Cloud and the Cloud X because I am not wearing them to actually run in. I got this great purple colored Cloud there before the holidays that I haven’t seen anyone else wearing – I love that it is unique. They have a good reward program too, so I ended up saving 10$ on one of the pairs I got for a gift.

This store is really worth the drive for their excellent service! Was Grateful to find the Altra Escalantes - these are the closest Ive found to the first generation Altras. Bought them here a year ago and still love them!

Bad shop. Buy a shoes waterproof but in real this and near not be a waterproof.I want to refund or refund and no one helped me with this. And the fact that the shoes are defective is not our problem. Please contact the manufacturer.

Buy shoes in last of year 2019.They said that the shoes were impermeable (in part), but after I went out for a little walk in the light rain, my feet were all wet through.And it cost me $ 100 + $ 30 sending to my country.Of course, I wanted to return at least some of my money, but the store did not want to respond on the Amazon page.When I called them, they told me that since 30 days have passed, the parcel cannot be returned ...And all this winter I had to walk in these Altra lone peak 3 neoshells, freeze and get sick.I just didnt have money for other shoes, I didnt!

Cameron from Grivet Outdoors did a running clinic at my crossfit gym in Desoto County. It’s nice to have a local outdoor store who is becoming part of the community and hosting events. He talked about correct running posture and how to protect yourself from injuries. I’d highly recommend going by the store to chat with him if you have any questions about achieving your fitness goals or if you are feeling some pain. I ended up going in and he recommended I buy a pair of Brooks Adrenalines based off the way my ankles roll when I run. Can’t wait to take them out for a test run when it gets warmer!

Good afternoon,On Sunday, shortly after church, I noticed your Goodman Road store from the street and decided to go in and check out your goods. I walked in to a really pleasant environment and shared with the customer service rep. there that I was looking to purchase a new pair of comfortable running shoes. Comfort was/is KEY!As I began to look around, I also informed the young lady (Tanisha) who was assisting me that I was preparing for the St. Jude half-marathon, and training was a huge part of getting ready. I also walked in knowing exactly which shoe I was looking for, which made the process a lot easier. A week prior, I had joined a running group at Breakaway Running to train, and shortly after, spoke with the store rep who told me that it was imperative that I purchase a pair of shoes besides the current Nike cross-training pair that I was wearing.Fast forwarding my story, Tanisha (the sales rep.) spent almost an hour assisting me with trying on, sizing, and even watching me PACE UP AND DOWN THE OUTSIDE OF THE STORE (how cool!) to ensure that I was investing in the perfect pair.Needless to say, I’m on day two with my new HOKA’s and I absolutely feel as though I’m running on a cloud! I am not a typical nature enthusiast but I can see myself coming back here again and again. Great sweaters and fleece jackets. Lots of shoes and boots that are good looking, too, not just running shoes. Olukais are a great day to day shoe, that can be worn to the office. The biggest selection of On Running shoes that I’ve seen in town. I’ve gotten away with wearing a nice grey pair to the office too. Come here for any gift giving occasions and for yourself too.

I stop by this place almost any time I’m in the area. Their brands are on point with current trends, and they are always growing and getting the newest brands / styles. A friendly staff that seems like a small family- they are all always so happy to help. Best selection of running shoes in Memphis – from new brands like On Running to old classics like Brooks, Saucony and New Balance. One stop shop for the winter- things like fleece pullovers, gloves and beanies…. A great place to Christmas shop and support a local business.

I’ve shopped at Grivet Outdoors for a few pairs of shoes now. I’m happy to see they keep growing and getting more brands in. They announced on social media that they got new Brooks in stock, and I was so excited! Great customer service and a huge selection of shoes. I have purchased Chacos and Hokas from them now. My feet have always been oddly shaped, making it difficult to find shoes. They are really wide by the toes. The guy manning the store immediately recommended some Altra zero drop running shoes with a super wide toe box. They fit perfectly. I know right away if shoes will work for me. They didnt have the color I wanted in stock, but they ordered them and I received them in a few days. They are still comfortable and holding up a year later. I think they were the same price or maybe a bit cheaper online, but nothing beats trying on shoes and knowing you got the right size. Plus the satisfaction of supporting local business. Im really excited to hear of their plans for expansion. Grivet is a great small store, they seem to focus on quality products.

I was not as impressed as I am with the midtown location.

Every time I come in here, I am greeted with a smiling face. I never walk out empty handed. It’s money well spent to support a local business. They give money back to their reward members, and support a lot of local organizations like MRTC and St Jude. A great outfitter with shoes and clothes and knowledgeable staff. Shoutout to Kelly, who was awesome to chat with.

Glad to hear these guys are making it out of COVID okay! Stopped by again today and they seem stronger than ever- picked up a few new brands since I’ve been in last including Brooks Running and Saucony shoes. A huge selection of On Clouds as always. The Memphis running scene is really growing and it’s great to have another option to shop at, especially when you want to support a small local business. Huge wall of running shoes, and decent selection of hiking and lifestyle shoes and apparel as well. Definitely worth a stop by if you are an active Memphian. Highly recommend.

The employees at the CY location are super nice and helpful. Kelly had me try on a pair of Hoka running shoes and I needed to size up. She was knowledgeable about how things like socks and weather could change my size (I didn’t think about feet swelling when working out). I tried on the Feetures running socks and loved them. They ordered my proper size from another location and called me when it was in store. I appreciate that the employees are knowledgeable and friendly (without being intimidating). I saw the On running shoes too that are super cute in fun colors. Appreciate the huge wall of different color options.

Fun store and a great thing for Memphis. They price match so you have no reason to buy anywhere else- either online or at a chain store. They are also very great with returns, letting you try your shoes out and still return for credit if you don’t like them. They genuinely want you to be happy. If I want something that I can get either at an REI or here, I want to come here and support a small, local business instead. Picked up some Chacos on a great sale here during the winter that I’ll wear every day in the summer, I’m sure. Awesome outdoor outfitter.

Great to see a new, actually locally owned outdoors store open up! Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Pretty good selection. Their tagline was “run, hike, climb” and they certainly had gear for all activities. Lots of shoes, from running shoes, to hiking shoes, and gear, like rock climbing harnesses, water bottles, sun glasses, sun screen, back packs…. I didn’t know we even had all those activities in Memphis! Maybe this will inspire me to be more active.

Second visit today. Both times I was treated very well by the staff members and they seemed knowledgeable about the products. The first time they let me try on a lot of shoes and didn’t seem annoyed about it. They taught me all about zero drop shoes, like Altra, and let me feel the difference between those and a Hoka running shoe. Lots of colors to chose from. I’m a beginner runner and was really glad find somewhere to shop where I wouldn’t feel embarrassed for not knowing much. Very happy to have a new local running shoe store in Memphis with such a wide selection to chose from.

I think this is one of the best running shoe stores in Memphis. Many shoes and accessories to chose from. I got a headlamp and a hand held water bottle from Nathan, which seems to be the most popular brand for running accessories. Picked up some Clifbars and Gu gels for race mornings too. Really happy to see a locally owned store doing so well in the community.

Bought some On Cloud running shoes here after I saw them at the St Jude Marathon Expo. Great to support a local business that in turn supports the community. Great and friendly customer service. Will be back for Chacos this summer. Lots of brands I was happily to surprised to see in a local store- Olukais have been so popular lately, I’m glad they are on to current lifestyle trends here, not just straight outdoor gear.

This place is the best! Scruggs (works Tuesdays!) is so high energy and fun to shop with, without being pushy. Really knows his stuff and had some great recommendations for me. He was genuine and guided me ot the best product for me, not the most expensive. Bought a pair of Altra running shoes for the wide toe box and zero drop. Learned so much about running gait and form from him while I tried them on. Glad to see a staff who actually is knowledgeable but not intimidating. Will be back.

I love this store. I spent a long time talking to the sales associate about not only the products in store, but Memphis hiking and running in general. I ended up purchasing a pair of Hoka hiking boots (who knew they made those?!) They offer high quality brands of clothes and gear (Outdoor Research, Black Diamond, Kavu, Cotopaxi, Osprey backpacks and more). I look forward to returning.

Thank you for your honesty. I really liked a color on a pair on On Running shoes, but Lauren took a look at my feet and watched me walk, listening to my stories about pain in my feet, and recommended a pair of Hokas instead. I appreciate that she wasn’t trying to oversell me just to get a more expensive purchase in today. Shoe advice was spot on. Also good socks are a runners life saver. I like Feetures and Balega.

Happy to finally find some RARE quality customer service in Memphis. I was greeted immediately by the sales associate folding clothes, but not pestered. I was just getting lunch next store and stumbled in, surprised to find a running store in Cooper Young! Kelly recommended some great brands, like Hoka running shoes and Altra running shoes. You can tell this company isn’t all robots. Real people! I can’t wait to come back.

Initially I was very anxious walking into a running store. I finally decided I wanted to make the investment and get a really good pair of running shoes but I was afraid my inexperience would be an issue. Grivet warmly greeted me and made me feel at home. Major props to the sales staff, they were fantastic. They took the time to make sure I get the exact best fit for me and that I was comfortable with my purchase. Its rare to find such good customer service. Ill definitely be shopping at Grivet in the future for all my running store needs.

I am a fitness freak, love to exercise daily. So, I bought this High Line jeggings for my daily workout. It brings the freedom of movement and gives me a trendy look perfectly from studio to street. Looking forward to buy another one from this site.

Prices are competitive with other outdoors stores and they have a rewards program that makes them 10% lower, really. Better selection than other running stores in town. More brands, like On Clouds and Merrell boots (high and low tops for the trails), and lots of colors to chose from. Every one I tried on they had in stock in my size. Friendly, fun atmosphere. Seems like a really nice curated selection of mens and womens running shoes. Glad the store expanded so they can stock more merchandise.

As a nurse, I spend all day on my feet. Came into Grivet looking for some walking shoes that were comfortable and stylish. Usually running shoes are so ugly. I left with a pair of black Hoka Cliftons and a pair of pink/gray On Clouds- because I couldn’t decide! They have so many colors of the On Cloud’s- even if you aren’t a competitive runner, you could get a pair of every day stylish athletic shoes here, for an affordable price. They have other sportswear and outdoor gear too- left with a North Face fleece type of coat and a Patagonia like long sleeve shirt.

I am very new to the world of hiking and decided it was time to buy new boots. I came into Grivet with very little knowledge of what I was looking for, but Kelly helped me feel right at home. I actually ended up buying a low-top pair of Merrells, after trying on Altras, Keens, Asolos, and Oboz. What an incredible selection! It’s hard to find a small business that is able to have such a wide array of products. Talked to the woman working in the store- they actually started out online, which allows them to carry so much in store, with even more online they can pull in for you to try on. Great business model that will last a long time (as evident by their very full store)!

Friendly staff, unique selection of outdoors goods compared to other stores in the city. This will be my go-to shop from now on.

Cool place to shop, employees are really easy to talk to and seem like real people. Kelly really seemed to love the company. She showed me her favorite shoes, the On Cloud running shoes, and showed me some sandals (Chacos and Tevas) that would be great Kayaking shoes. Seemed to have everything from water bottles to sun screen to Saxx boxers and Duke Cannon soap (which I’ve been looking everywhere for for my hubby). Cooper Young needed another good place to shop, we love walking around after dinner. Lots of outdoor style apparel.

Visited this outdoor store during Cooper Young Fest. Bought some Olukai shoes and Chacos for an upcoming trip to the Smokey Mountains. I’m not the most active person but Scruggs was really helpful in making me feel comfortable with my purchase. I’ll be back in the fall for some Sorel boots! I heard they just remodeled and the store is big and open, with a good mix of gear. Running shoes and hiking gear. Lots of clothes I’d wear day-to-day, like Patagonia style coats.

I wanted to check out some local outdoors shops while gathering some essentials for a future trip out to Glacier National Park. This store has a nice layout, helpful staff, & a good selection of many popular, reliable outdoor brands. Will definitely shop here again before the trip!

I ordered a pair of sandals from Grivet Outdoors online and when they arrived, they were not the size I ordered and one of the shoes is defective. They now refuse to send me a pre-paid return shipping label for the defective shoes and tell me that I will have to pay to have them shipped back, to the tune of about $10, at which point they will decide whether or not they will issue me a full refund, or charge me another 15% for restocking the defective shoes.Horrible Company with even worse customer service!

I went here because I have a really flat foot. My Podiatrist recommended I go to Grivet to get the right pair of stability running shoes. Their staff was able to recommend a couple shoe options that were right for me. The prices were competitive and I would highly recommend this place for anyone that suffers from plantar fasciitis. I ended up with a pair of Mizunos and havent looked back since.

I’ve visited the Memphis Cooper Young Grivet Outdoors a couple times over the past year. Every time, they are getting more and more brands in. I love supporting a local business for this reason. Really seen these guys grow as a running shoe store and an outdoor outfitter. I’ve always worn North Face / Patagonia type coats in the winter, and this store has all the same styles. Lots of brands you know and love. Lots of new brands as well. Lots of fun Chaco and Teva sandals right now for the summer. Even had a BOGO Chaco sale this summer.

A cool combo of REI, Outdoors Inc and Breakaway, all in one store. They have reward points too, so you get points all in one place for ALL your hobbies, which is nice. They also have a big online shop, so they will order anything for you if they don’t have it. Great that you can buy Hoka Running Shoes, a Big Agnres tent and a Goretex raincoat all in one place.

Taylor helped me find a shoe that my podiatrist doctor recommended- an Altra. I haven’t heard of the brand before, But they’re a game changer. My shoes don’t feel like they are all squished together anymore! Comfortable running shoes with cushion. I think they’re the only running store in Memphis with Altras. They are great shoes for nurses and doctors (or anyone on their feet all day). Recognized some other brands, like Mizuno running shoes, but he explained they are more traditional running / walking shoes. I’ll be back when I start training for my 5K race this summer.

A limited selection of shoes and gear but can order whatever you need. Each pair I tried on I was able to find online for $10-30 cheaper. It’s not a very big store so if you’re looking for more gear than shoes, Grivet t-shirts and water bottles it’s probably not the place.Had to come back and change my review to one star. The gear isn’t qualify. I bought two pair of Goodr sunglasses from them at Cooper Young fest. The lenses popped out of one pair before I could even get back to my car. One lens popped out of the second pair a week later. My last sunglasses were $7 on amazon and have still lasted longer than both of these.

Great range of brands and products, but the staff are why I come back. Knowledgeable sales associates and I appreciate that they remembered my name – although I’m a little embarrassed to shop there so much. They even have a rewards program just like REI but you don’t have to pay to be a member. You just get cash rewards back. Lots of shoes for sports, mostly running, and outdoors gear, like hiking gear. Purchased a pair of Keen hiking boots and a pair of Chaco sandals and instantly got an email as I was walking out for 10$ off my next purchase. I’ll probably get some Merrell trail running shoes too and a Gore tex rain jacket.

I hate chains. Loved these guys in Memphis. I think they have a couple locations in the area. Picked up some outdoor gifts for a wedding for some very outdoorsy friends- an Eno hammock with some twinkle string lights and a couple of foldable outdoor chairs, perfect for outdoor concerts. Got myself some Chacos too. Their selection of Chaco patterns was really impressive- biggest I’ve seen in one store. Really fun selection of summer adventure gear. I’m not a runner, but their wall of running shoes was HUGE if that’s what you’re looking for, it looked like they would have every brand you’d want- saw some I recognized, like Hoka One One, Skechers, Asics, Saucony and Brooks. Nice to have a locally owned outdoor store / running store in Memphis.

Grivet has a great selection of running shoes. Ive bought two pairs of Hokas and two pairs of ON running shoes from them and Ive been completely satisfied with them. I also get all of my other running gear from them like GUs, Nathan, Goodr, etc. They have a weekly running group on Tuesday nights at 6 that is also a ton of fun.

While there may be cheaper options at chains and online, you won’t find service like this anywhere else. Had a great time trying on a bunch of different running shoes- their selection is huge! Serious shoe wall! As a person who buys way too many running shoes, this place is a dream. Name brands like Nike, Asics, Adidas, Brooks, Hoka, and more. Saw some sandals like Teva and Chaco too- biggest selection of Chacos I’ve seen in a store. Usually you just see one or two colors. Grivet had 7 or 8. Nice guys. Great service.

If you want to shop local outdoors or running products, Grivet Outdoors is the place to go. Dont go to Fleet Feet or REI, theyre national chains and the service there reflects that. I just recently bought a pair of Oboz boots at Grivet and I love them.Grivet has an awesomee hiking group that meets and travels to hiking destinations all over the South. If you want to get more involved in the outdoors, its an amazing place to start!

Best local running store in Memphis. Both owners are from Memphis. I went in to grab a pair of Mizuno running shoes and grabbed some GUs, Balega socks, and Nathan pack while I was in there. I will definitely shop here again for any running gear or outdoors gear I need in the future.

Ive been to every running store in Memphis and this is the best place to buy running shoes, period. I came in not knowing much about what my feet needed as a runner, and they completely help you out and show you what works specifically for you. The worker here was SUPER knowledgeable! The only interaction Ive had with Grivet outdoors has been through Amazon, and it was a horrible experience. I placed an order a month ago for a pair of running shoes in size 10.5, and they arrived size 10. No big deal, I thought, mistakes happen.Except, after two days of concertedly trying to get a hold of someone to help me sort things out and receiving no response (I still havent heard back from them in any form) I started getting a bit angry, and initiated the return process and sent them back the day before I travelled to Cuba for two weeks. (why I was buying the shoes in the first place, and why there was some urgency involved)Thinking that was the end of it, I arrived back home 23 days after Id returned the shoes, to see that theyd never refunded the purchase despite having received the shoes two weeks prior.... and Amazon customer service wound up giving me a gift card for the amount, so Grivet Shitdoors never actually did a single thing to resolve any of my complaints.So, who knows, maybe they arent a bunch of incompetent nitwits in person, but never, EVER order anything from them online. *drops mic*
