Outdoors Inc on Poplar Ave is my favorite bike shop in Memphis. The manager Colby is knowledgeable and friendly. You can tell that he is very passionate about cycling, and it shows in the care he and his staff put into the work they do.Highly recommended, good central location in Shelby County, pricing is very reasonable, and the shop itself has a fantastic casual atmosphere. I always feel like I am visiting a friends cabin that also happens to be a bike shop!

I never plan to return to this store again. I was at this location for almost an hour and not one employee asked if I needed help. Walked right by me and not a word. When you are charging this much for items the polite thing would be to ask if you can help. You can certainly purchase these items online much cheaper that what they are charging.

Very helpful staff, overall great selection for all your outdoor needs, and an excellent bike shop. However, not much in the way of disc golf, so if thats what youre looking for the midtown store has a much larger selection.

This is a great location they just bought a separate building which is 5 feet away from the main store and it has more bikes than the large germantown location. So they do have bikes. They have everything I need from knives to flashlights to clothing to footwear to camping/climbing gear. Also lots of survival goods.

I was looking for some hiking boots and went from the downtown outlet store to the Cordova store and then the Poplar store. Everyone was super helpful but the manager at the Poplar Store; Seth Terri went above and beyond to help me find the right shoe. I had been looking for a long time and his team was patient and so helpful. I was able to get the hiking shoes I needed for my exciting trip! If you are looking for a great shopping experience and knowledgable team look no further!

Had a minor emergency as I had broke a spoke on my bike and was heading out of town for a ride in Nashville over the weekend. Brought my Mavic wheel into the shop and explained my situation to the Manager Colby. Colby immediatedly took charge and repaired my wheel on the spot for an extremely reasonable price. This is what is I call OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!!! Seldom can you find anyone willing to assist a customer in this manner. I would highly reccomend this shop to the local Memphis bike crowd and anyone traveling through town in need of FULL service, customer oriented Bike Shop. I have used the bike shop before with no problems, but I will not be returning. Sometime around March I called ahead to schedule a tune up and was pleased to learn it would be done over the weekend. Dropped it off on a Friday afternoon and swung by the next Monday morning to pick it up, only to find that it wasnt done at all, but rather in a million pieces about the shop. (This after being promised it would be done Sunday.) And instead of an apology, I was met with a very rude attitude about being the only person in the shop and Youll just have to come back tomorrow. And after I leave the guy called me 20 minutes later and says its finished, so you tell me how good a job he did. The gears slip constantly, theres squeaks and rattles I didnt have when I brought the bike in, and the best part is he used dry-rotted tubes (Im assuming the old ones?) under the new tires I purchased, so now theyre flat as a pancake. $150 down the drain on a joke of a tuneup.
