Waited over 5 hours for my car to be fixed. They didnt even look at it in those 5 hours!! They took oil changes that came in after I did before me!! They need to learn the meaning of first come, first serve! Doubtful if Ill ever be back!

I came in after just buying my truck two weeks prior with the muffler rusted off the staff at apex where awesome from the office to the shop! Sat and talked with the lady in the office as a waited for my truck to be finished she was awesome and shared some stories! The mechanic took me into the shop and showed me the messed up muffler and what I need part wise! Very knowledgeable guys working here found a shop I’ll keep coming back too highly recommend to anyone! Thanks again

Cannot speak highly enough of Pete & Michigan City Apex. They’re honest, and do good work in a reasonable amount of time. The receptionists are always kind. This is the only place I trust to take care of my vehicle, and as a young Woman, I’ve never once felt like they’re trying to take advantage of my lack of car knowledge which is not something I could say when I used to take it to the dealership for maintenance. Truly cannot recommend them enough!

Job done quickly and short wait to get in. Very busy for them that day but I was handled efficiently.

This is the best place to go in the region for automotive repair. Not only do they show you whats going on with your car out in the shop, but they work around your price budget, fix what you can afford, as well as telling you what needs to be done next. I have never been to another automotive shop that is so workable workable. Even though Im rating at five stars I would give it a 10 out of 5

FYI, If you love your car and like saving money in the long run don’t go here, If you do decide to go here make sure you do your research.

I am a pilot and a gear head. I have known John S. since we were snot nose kids. Besides being friends for over 50 years when it comes to business, John as all business. Im very particular about my car and John feels the same way for me and anyone else. He has a great understanding of people and how valuable their cars are to them. You would be making a mistake if you didnt make him your go to Mechanic. John is in Laporte. And in Michigan City there is Pete who was also an excellent mechanic.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! THEY TRY TO SCAM HARD WORKING PEOPLE OUT OF MONEY. ESPECIALLY DURING TAX TIME! THEY WANTED TO CHARGE $2,000 TO RETHREAD A SPARK PLUG WHOLE, WHEN DOWN THE STREET CHARGED $400.

While on vacation I hit a speed bump causing the cover under my engine to buckle and rub on the street....I went in on a Saturday waited maybe 15 minutes and the owner came out... and said it is FIXED have a GREAT TRIP THEREIS NO CHARGE!!. How refreshing and so greatly appreciated. This will be my go to when I move back home

Waited over 5 hours for an oil change and breaks replaced. After 5 hours I quit counting. I will never go here again. Looks like they broke something but didnt tell me screws were exposed that is how I knew. People that came in during my stay were enjoyable. Sorry to say staff wasnt. They try to get you to get things you dont need. Thats the usual. I have been here before with other cars getting the same thing done. Never took this long. I even came early in the morning expecting to be a while. Still didnt leave till closing time. They lie about the time. My advice If you come here except a long wait. If you get more than one thing done expect a even longer wait. I am not going here again. I am also advising my friends and family to go elsewhere. Got work done 2 months ago took me a while to calm down.My brother knows the owner but my family came in because of that reason. The only reason they went was to prove me wrong. New Lady at desk this Time but still being disrespected What you think I cant hear your work men Shouting Out STUPID. Owner is very nice and so is the new lady at desk very friendly. Mechanics need work on proper language heard by customers. As for job well done seen better improvement. Too bad I spent repairs for my car else ware.

Took my car in because break line broke, i wanted to have fuel lines changed at same time since they all run together. they cut my vent line out while replacing lines, the car now has a check engine light with horrible gas odor. honda wants $2100 to fix it, they tried convincing me that compression fittings were good on brake lines, the fuel lines they did replace were not done correctly with rubber hose spliced in multiple spots. they left electrical plug undone, i had to go three times to have breaks bled. the third time i had to go to laporte apex because they banded me from coming back to michigan city since i was unhappy with the shorty work. and they also backed my car into the wall. go there if u want poor quality work and to be ripped off. i never had check engine light on, they tried to tell me it was on when i brought it in, they never dropped fuel tank like they said they were going to either

Went in to Apex fearing mt catalytic converter was bad. They found that the air filter cover had not been reattached by another mechanic from a oil change at _almart. They reattached at no charge and had me on my way. I will come back for service to Apex because of the employees. Thank you!

Dont like first come first serve and waitingforever for my car...also..went to have tires checked..and later realized somebody stole my tire ratchet from the trunk...dont plan to revisit anytime soon.

Don’t ever come here, they will fix what is wrong with your car give you a lifetime warienty, just to purposely break something similar on your car. Forcing you to come back, thinking it’s the same thing that previously messed up; but really they broke something totally different...

Oil change best in town

My aunt took her van to Apex for an oil change, well she got more then that. Now her gaskets are blown. They put to much oil in so it started leaking out the gaskets, but now they are are saying they are not responsible. Has anyone else had problems with this company. P.s the only reason they got 1 star is because i had to or i couldnt post this.
