The Walmart Auto Center is a good place to get basic services on your car. Great prices on oil changes for sure.However this isnt a pull in pull out kind of place. There will be considerable wait times (hours) before they can get you in if you go in the middle of the day. Show up when they first open!Also they open at 8am on Sundays, not 7am like it shows online.

They stayed open just to fix our older car that had a flat tire. Really appreciate it. Felt that we were treated very well. Thank you for your help. They even checked out the other tires for screws or nails.

My tires are as good as new and it only took 30 minutes

This place 4-5 years ago was top notch in following procedures like a car dealership unlike any other Wal-Mart Ive visited, they were still pretty darn good before covid shutdown .. going back soon to ask see about new tires.

Everything was smooth and easy.

Only one there at the time for a tire to get plugged, was told about 20 minutes and was there an hour and a half.

Very poor service . Need an improvement and more employees. I wouldn’t of gave this place any stars but needed to to write the review . Should shut down or STEP UP.

Do not bring your vehicle here for any reason! This is by far the slowest and most unprofessional tire place I have ever been in. We have never had any issues with Walmart. But the Michigan City tire department is a joke. It took almost 30 minutes for the guy to figure out just how to enter information. Then another 2.5 hrs for a valve stem. People standing in line waiting and only 1 person up front to help.2 different managers came back saw the line and walked away without offering any assistance to the workers. We will NEVER come back here again.

This place is ridiculously lazy. 2nd time dealing with them and not impressed. First time I was about 6 months pregnant with my now 1 yo son and we had a flat tire. Went in to inquire about a tire an hour before they closed and told us they couldnt do it. This time we went in for an oil change and they couldnt figure out how to get the drain plug out as well as telling us that our transmission is leaking which its not, saying the check engine light is on again its not. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK.

Have to give them a star just to give your opinion- they don’t deserve a single star! Waited over an hour in line to pick my car up once it was ready. Then they broke the tire sensors and said they didn’t- my great deal on tires - was NO deal after I had to fix my tire sensors. What a joke of a place. DO NOT!! Take a vehicle to this place terrible service!!!! Stay away from the Michigan City Walmart Auto Care!!

Less than a shining experience. Ordered a tire Sunday at the auto counter. Recieved nothing but a guarantee of Tuesday or Wednesday delivery. Department manager dismissed me on Thursday and explained that my tire hadnt arrived with no record or receipt of my sunday order. Without looking for an order or typing my name, Mark dismissed me. The employee who took my order arrived moments later and knew my tire had arrived and even had a binder labeled tire orders where he found record of my order. I was taken care of but the level of expert knowledge from a department manager was less than encouraging. Prices are cheaper than a stand alone tire place yet I will pay more for expert service and knowledge. I wouldnt reccomend going here. If I was dismissed, I cant imagine how other non-experts are treated by this manager specifically. Thanks Mark and the Auto Department of Michigan City.

Rarely have a knowledgeable person behind the counter, always a wait, mechanics move as slow as molasses and they have been known to mar aluminum wheels . I will not return .

I will NEVER return here the wait was insane for an oil change, it took over 2 hours and no one was in either bay the desk staff was rude and unhelpful they didn’t keep me informed nor did they expedite the service in anyway! Spend the extra money and go somewhere else complete joke!!!

Work there. We try to do a good job and not make customers wait too long. Sometimes we get backed up.

The price for a basic oil change is $20 and $29 to top off your fluids. Its cheaper than the other places and as a woman, you wont feel taken advantage of. The only problem is, be prepared to wait at least an hour 😂. The attendant told me to go shopping 👀.

Poor service all around, I was made to wait over 2 hours for a tire change and no one in front of me. Then when they got to my car they couldnt get the tire off, took my car to local shop and told the mechanic there what Walmart said that the bolts were sealed on, and he looked at it and laughed and told me no they were full of it. New tire on and at a lot less cost then Walmart charges

Time has no meaning in the 7th circle of hell, a place where even dispair dies...There is not one good thing I could say about my 4 hour wait to get nothing done. These folks are grown in a sloth farm. Do not take your car here, youve been warned.

Spoke to some lady on the phone who was rude, was going to spend $700-$900 on a new set of 4 tires but Im taking my business elsewhere. IT PAYS TO BE NICE, BE NICE AND PROFESSIONAL IN EVERY MANNER WHILE AT WORK. I guess this department doesnt care about sales?

Left without tire. One guy had been there 3hrs for oil change. Another 2hrs for 2 tires mounted on rims. Couldnt even get someone to help me

It wont let me leave 1 star! Took a tire/rim to get replaced, took them 2.5 hours. I asked if they could put it back on the car, but they said no because they were closing in 5 minutes.?? Now a month later and a different vehicle. I didnt learn the first time, dropped off my truck with a nail in the tire for a plug/patch. I was told 2 hours max for it to be repaired. Its been over 3 hours and they havent touched it yet. There was 1 car in a bay when I got there. Lesson learned after today! Should you go there? If you are still considering it, read my review and the others again!

If I could give them negative stars I would. It is 13° outside and my tire just blew 1 block from Wal-Mart, so I pull in and walk inside at 13 minutes until 6 and they refuse to put a tire on for me because they close at 6. I explained that I have my wife and daughter outside and we would be stuck there and they replied that it wasnt their problem. I had to put a spare on in the freezing cold and watched as they sat around doing nothing until I pulled out at 6:20. Thanks for being there for your customers Wal-Mart.

Has gd hrs. They do most any type of work. The staff could be more friendlier.

Just poped in for some wire nuts. In and out in less than tem minutes.

Just wasted 25 minutes in the auto line with two young kids to be told they won’t fix my tire bc they are too far behind. Hire some ppl answer your phone that rang about 15 times while we waited. Will NEVER be back.

Id give it less if I could, but I cant. These mechanics are lazier than sloths. They have 6+ people, 4 jobs to do with only two cars in the shop and an hour and a half or more in time to do a simple job of putting a tire on a rim. Pathetic...

Horrible service in the tire department I wait 4 hours for one new tire and never got it they are slow and lazy I left and went to discount tires .I will never go there for tires again.

They Did a fast efficient job.

Second time they tried telling me a battery that was under warranty wasnt bad when I knew it was,I demanded they put on big tester in back instead of the junk handheld, then they agreed was bad

Never topped off fluids on our brand new Subaru.After months of driving it stopped running took it into the shop to find out it had to be rebuilt for over $3,000. Had a previous experience in my car, same things, oil never put in. Caught it in time, I think.Will never ever use them again, not to mention over several hundred door dings and scratches over the years in their parking lot by trashy, careless customers.

Went to see about an oil change and was told that it would be at least a 4 hour wait.

Traveling from Kansas city with my kids, rear tire went flat, spare was flat, on Sunday, nothing open except Walmart tire center. Hour and a half before they close and they wouldnt help us.

Waited there too long for them to even get the car in to change 4 tires . We got there at 10:30am didnt get out until 5:30 pm
