Dr. Hogan did a great job on getting my prescription right. I can see better than I have for years! The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is I didnt feel that I was adequately warned about the cost for the retinal scan. But I definitely plan to return as long as Dr. Hogan is there.

I just left my appointment. I am livid. The staff was friendly, but... I made my appointment specifically with Dr. Greg Hogan 3 weeks earlier. I found out I had a conflict of appointments and changed my appointment 1-1/2 weeks before my appointment to make sure I saw Dr. Hogan. I was having to switch optometrists because of change in insurance. My current optometrist of 30 years knew and recommended Dr. Hogan. My new insurance instead of being $0 co-pay is now $10 co-pay. When I got to the Dr. Hogans office, they had me seeing Dr. Alambar because Dr. Hogan was out of town. I worked my schedule several times to specifically so that I would see Dr. Hogan. Then when I go to check out, the charge is $50: my $10 co-pay and an additional $40 for a retinal exam. Had I have known, I would not of had that exam. The doctor said he could see everything the retinal exam showed him.I am very dissatified with this service. My wife will not be going here nor my co-workers.

The visit was quick and easy, though they were busy at the clinic. The doctor is friendly and knowledgeable.They use an iPad to complete patient paperwork, where one of the forms youre signing is an agreement to an extra, non-standard service, which is some special eye photographs. The iPad form does not require the user to read the agreements and confirm extra charges. So, I just signed them. Later, I had to pay 5X what it would have costed me with just my copay. NOT pleased with the rushed patient intake that doesnt make sure patients know this clinic tacks on extra services above whats in a standard eye exam.

I’m wasn’t seen by Dr. Hogan. But I was seen by Dr. Roten and prescribed prescription for contacts and glasses. The contact prescribed I wear for about 3weeks and went in to confirm ordering 6month supply. I was provided addition pair till my purchased pair arrived. Once I placed that pair in, my left eye became very bloodshot and the entire left eye white part was filled with blood. I returned to office in attempt to be advised of solutions and the possibility to resolve issue. Being its my eyes and possibility of becoming blind, I would assume Dr. Roten might be interested in helping to resolve this. I learned later after 4 visits later “Once Dr. Roten decided to see me” my eye health was the least of her problems and she was very verbal about my eye problems being my problems, not hers. I normally would not rate or share my experience, since they are all based on personalities and opinions. But once a Dr. shares That your health isn’t their concern, I think people should be aware. Hopefully my eye clears up and I do not lose my sight. Best of luck on making the right choice for your future eye exams.
