Ive been going to Advantage for over 6 years now, and have never had a bad experience. Theyve dealt with my tires, wheels, brakes, batteries, etc. They are very fairly priced, will take the time to talk you through things you need to know before making decisions, no pressure from them or exaggerating issues. Basically no BS - and very knowledgeable staff (much more so than the service center at my dealership).While it is a salvage yard feel, and they dont have a dealership lounge area with watered down coffee - You know youre getting honest work, reasonable prices, and getting in earlier than your dealership can schedule you - its worth the trade-off. I highly suggest Advantage Auto Parts.

Advantage Auto offers the best auto service. Their work is on time and done better than their competition. Max is a very intelligent and can do things other repair shops are unwilling or hesitant to do. If you have time, have Max make you a cup of tea or a glass of juice from the juicer in the kitchen. He knows his stuff about auto repair and other things as well!

I’ve been coming here for about 10 years whenever I need body work done on my car. I recently got into an accident and needed my bumper replaced so I came in and they were able to get the parts and start work on my car right away. I had a couple other scrapes and chipped paint on my car but when they quoted me the price I couldn’t afford to get everything done right away so I chose to just get the important thing fixed, the bumper. Only 2 days later they called to let me know it was done and when I picked up my car not only was the bumper perfect but the scrapes and paint chips I had on my car were fixed too! They do a great job, are affordable, and I’m always pleased!

Lost my alternator, and its a pain to replace in my car. Was in a rental, and Max went above and beyond to find me an alternator and get it in the same day. I had trouble with an unusual headlight situation. I had been to another mechanic and the dealer. Neither had a solution for me. I called Advantage and spoke with Ray. He was honestly trying to come up with a solution. He told me to bring the truck by for him to look at it. When I got there, he had already spent time researching a solution. It was one of the hottest days of the summer and he took the time to make sure we had a resolution. I am very grateful to have found Advantage and will be calling them first from now on!! They are affordable and honest! Thank you!!!

Took my car in to get a bump removed from my front left fender. They said it would take a week tops, but ended up taking just over 2. The communication from them was not the greatest and I had to talk to the shop several times before they would be straight with me about when it would be done. I am docking them 2 stars for this alone, since it was fairly annoying not having the car for a week longer than expected when the repair itself did not change.That being said, the shop actually did a very good job on the repair. The paint is almost spot on and they even fixed up the alignment on my front bumper (this was done for free essentially). The only faults in the job I found were a missing plastic push pin and a damaged plastic push pin (~50 cents ea.). They werent important at all, nor do I really care about losing them, so Im not holding it against them. I pushed them to get it done in the end and they probably didnt have time to source them. If you can catch them when they dont have a ton of other work lined up, Im sure youll have a much better experience.Other thoughts: I was actually taken aback at first since it looked like a wreckers and most people in the shop spoke to each other in russian. Theyre actually all very easy to work with and dont be prejudiced like I was at first :)

On our way to buy a trailer, a vehicle in front of us kicked up a hard piece of rubber (thats what we think it was) and it hit the windshield directly in front of my husband, who was driving, and shattered the windshield. We went to look at the trailer and the seller called Advantage Auto Parts, whom he recommended, and they could fit us in immediately to replace the windshield with a new one. We received good service at a good, fair price. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Bought a 2007 Toyota Matrix here for a great deal from the owner Max. Have had the car 2 months now and there have been no major issues.He was very honest with the work done on the car/previous mechanical problems, let me take a long test drive, answered all my questions, did not charge me any additional fees dealerships normally charge, and hoisted the car on a lift to see the undercarriage. Also, all known mechanical issues were fixed.I was a little skeptical at first that the location had a Milwaukee address, but the shop is on the outskirts of the city in a seemingly safe location.Will definitely call Max again when I am in need of a new vehicle in the future!

I significantly damaged the driver side of my Lexus two weeks after purchasing it. I took it to Advantage in utter despair. I had quite a few problems with my cavalier and went to a dealership that tried to oversell me on things and charge more than the car was worth, then I brought it here. They did amazing, and fit me in on a really short notice. They really care about the customer and the work theyre doing. Its not a shop thats trying to just get money out of you, or rush their work. You really feel like they appreciate you, I dont know what I wouldve done without their help. Max is very kind and helpful, and Ray does great work. I couldnt be more happy and thankful, I definitely recommend going here for anything involving your car!!

I visited this facility on Friday, April 22nd for auto glass repair. Entering the yard I was super happy to find a well organized lot. That, there allowed me to know the staff took pride in their work environment. Therefore having them work on my vehicle was a relief in knowing! I was greeted with professionalism by an employee who later introduce me to the proprietor of this business, Max!!

They replaced my wiper motor ($40 part + $60 labor) for less than HALF of what it would have cost me elsewhere. They were fast and friendly, and they did a great job. They even replaced my wiper blades for no additional cost. The final price was exactly what I was quoted. I see Im not the only satisfied customer to post here. :-)

Ive been going here for about 10 years and always have a great experience. I took my Honda Odyssey to a popular commercial repair place for a free estimate because my check engine light was on (and the van was driving poorly) and they told me it would be $800 to change my spark plugs, 2 oxygen sensors, and air filter and they arent sure if it would fix the problem. I took my van from their to Advantage Auto and they told me it needed new spark plugs and a coil and it would cost $200 and this would most likely fix the problem. They were right, my check engine light is off and the van is running great!I have several other stories similar to this, but the bottom line is that they are very honest, have extremely knowledgeable mechanics, only fix what needs to be fixed, dont overcharge for labor, and are very reasonably priced. They are also very flexible; they have put in used parts off of cars in their yard, found great used parts from other places, put in parts that I brought them, fixed other peoples mistakes, and ordered me new parts to put on. They take their time and do a great job; its probably best if you can leave your car their a few days but the service and price are very worth the wait. The best part to me is that when you leave you feel good about the experience (in the past I often feel either taken advantage of or like I was talked down to). I drive past several auto places to get back to Advantage Auto and will continue to do so.

I have gone here a couple of times and while Advantage did not have the part that I was looking for the guy behind the counter was extremely helpful and referred me to a website to check the area boneyards for parts. My worst experience with auto shops ever. Took my vehicle for the brakes change, kept it in for three weeks, when I came to pick up vehicle they billed me for the storage $900. I called the police to resolve. NEVER EVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.
