5years ago, Jon replaced the time belt and car ran great, old car got suspension problems but his shop was too busy, so I went to American Tire depot, unfortunately car got more issues, American tire depot guys were willing to help but they just had no idea, then I brought it back to Lexus dealer, Lexus quoted me more than 6k to fix, so I contacted Wendy, she is so nice and after heard my story, she scheduled a time for me, just several hours, car wad returned back to me, solved, Wendy said just several parts got loose, I think its not that simple, I mean to other mechanics, car fully recovered, we are so appreciated it, this old car gave us so much good time, accompanied us visiting so many wonders, thank you Jon

Hands down one of the best mechanics in Orange County. I didnt mention technician because a true mechanic is very hard to come by and John along with Wendy provide the most outstanding service! I have a 05 Toyota Highlander which needed a new timing belt along with some other odds and ends. Japanese Car Specialities did not disappoint. They are the most honest people in the industry that I have found. 100% no regrets!

John and Wendy are so nice and so honest. Ive been going to them for a short time but they treat me like Ive been there forever. Came in because I thought I was having a starter issue. They ordered the starter but then realized it wasnt the issue. Instead of charging me $600 they got the car running and returned the part. They could have still charged me and I wouldnt have known better. That says a lot about them.

They know their stuff and are very friendly honest.

Honest and very good service, fixed the problem on the first try. Wont try to rip you off like some other mechanics who have shops around that area..

What a find! Never trusting my FJ62 with anyone else. John is the best. Very knowledgable, trustworthy, honest, & fair. If you have a Toyota, dont take it anywhere else. He rebuilt my Cruisers engine and its amazing the difference. Cant recommend them enough!

We have taken our Ford Edge to John and Wendy several times now, and every time we get an honest estimate, and great Auto service done right the first time. They may specialize in Japanese cars, but they do a great job on our Ford. Call ahead to make sure your American car is one they will work on.

John and Wendy are the best. They love their work and care for their customers. They have years of experience and are extremely knowledgeable. I would not go anywhere but to John and Wendy.

John is the man! I am a car enthusiast and I usually dont trust anyone to work on my personal vehicles. I would trust John on any and every day of the week. This guy knows cars better than most people know themselves. Nothing gets past him. Best of all, hes HONEST! Senior here...they are very honest. Had been told twice I needed brakes. John said NOPE just adjustments and oil change $45. Had other items needed replacing were prioritized based on my budget! Taking my 2006 Honda there over 10 yearsBTW I drive in fromCorona

The best mechanic around, bar none. Knows the cars he works on better than Toyota themselves. Uses genuine parts whenever possible. Very fast turnaround time which means less money for labor. Family owned and operated. There is nothing that John cannot fix. Wendy, his wife, is the receptionist, very nice and accommodating. If you own a Japanese car, look no further! Jon also drives Toyota trucks, I love a mechanic who drives what he works on, truly means that he loves what he does.A few of the cars Ive brought to John: 1987 4Runner turbo 4x4, 1999 SR5 4x4 5-speed (that John helped me convert from 2WD automatic, how cool is that), 2000 4Runner SR5 4x4 (used parts to convert 99), and 2004 Toyota 4Runner Sport Edition. Most honest and professional mechanic!

Why this husband and wife team doesn’t have more reviews is beyond me, but these guys took care of me. I needed my water pump and timing chain replaced on my 95 Civic hatch so they put me in the books, ordered parts the day before, and finished up my car within a few hours of opening up shop for the day. I could say more good things but then that would ruin the surprise.

Wendy/John have been an absolute blessing for me. Im a young guy who has brought 3 different cars here over the last few years (93 accord, 03 accord, 00 camry). Its very stressful trying to take a car in for service at the dealer and many private shops can feel the same. Having trust in your shop is extremely valuable and Japanese Car Specialties is the best ever. Wendy has always given me advice on what we should fix, what isnt worth fixing, etc. An auto shop that actually cares about the client, wow! Thank you John and Wendy!!!!!

Went in with a huge list of things i needed or thought i needed to get my 4runner back into tip top shape. John worked with me and told me what i needed now and what i could put off for a bit. I knew it was a lot of work and rhe price was fair. My 4runner is running amazingly now. This will be my go to spot for my 4runner and my fianceés Sequioa from now on.
