I was new to the area and had 3 different friends and colleagues recommend South County to me when I needed brakes for my wife’s SUV. That was 5 years ago and since then I’ve gone back for several different things on several cars. At this point I don’t even shop around to make sure I’m not over paying because they’re always very competitive. Trust is hard to come by these days and I’ll tell you what, not having to worry about the car that carries my wife and children around is priceless. My family and I have been taking our cars to South County Brake and Auto Service for close to twenty years for a variety of issues. Al is knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and his professional staff completes the work in a timely manner. My 1st experience was excellent, great work and honest pricing. My 2nd experience was not so good, excellent work and extreme price gouging. I dont think I will come back. I was charged double for aftermarket rotors of what OEM would cost, and thats my price, not wholesale. Needles to say, I felt extremely disappointed, a bait and switch.Reply: Not just Amazon, Ford dealer OEM parts.

This business is the type every non-mechanical person wants to have as a go to. They are trustworthy, timely and they do what they say they are going to do. There have been a few times where I have needed them to look into something and they were clear in explaining the problem and fair in their estimation of costs. Al does great work and is very honest and trustworthy. Weve been taking our cars there for several years now and am very pleased. its hard to find a mechanic you can trust and dealers are terrible but I know Al will always give it to me straight and let me know the best course of action.

For 20 years, Al has serviced my vehicles. He is extremely honest and describes what should be fixed to insure no future problems, and what, at a minimum NEEDS to be fixed. I own three vehicles with over 200,000 miles and one with 340,000 miles thanks to South County Brake.
