Great selection of items at a variety of price ranges. My only issue is the many of the staff arent very helpful; they were talking to each other and I had to interrupt their personal conversation to ask a question and one gentleman ignored us completely as we stood at his counter looking at items. Yes, he was helping someone else, but he could have acknowledged us.

Tri-State is a beautiful balance of large, professional store, and local, hometown, and friendly. It makes it a very nice and comfortable place to visit. The staff are always friendly, but never pushy or intrusive. They seem comfortable to be in the store, and it helps make it a more comfortable place for the customer as well. Tri-State really is a store worth visiting.

Tri-State ~ Youre a wonderful store and we loved shopping there before things got political around Covid. Ill set a reminder for five years after this all clears and come shop with you again. Until then, it saddens me that I have to shop at Amazon. Thx.

Prices are high, as to be expected, I really enjoy visiting and have had some really good finds during my patronage. Unfortunately a lot of the other patrons refuse to wear a mask, which is really annoying and I have not been able to shop in person since the beginning of the pandemic back in April of last year. Looking forward to visiting when this lets up :)

Good options for oudoor enthusiasts and sportsmans toys and supplies. I am an avid shopper and outdoor enthusiast and appreciate a good selection from a locally owned business. I have been pleased in their inventory and their customer service some-what.... but I recently have been quite perturbed over actions I witnessed while in the store during separate occasions.During the first time covid-19 had brought restriction, I was surprised to see such an aggressive approach to everyone in the community from the Tri-State employees in their store. Aggressive to both mask wearing compliant customers that hadnt put their mask on before entering the front door and were even compliant when confronted or people that werentstanding directly 6 ft apart at the register, but also those customers that were unaware of Moscows Mask enforcing mandates beyond the states requirements and questioned just to understand. Like I said... this happened on separate occasions.In separate accounts I watched as more than one individual or individuals were aggressively approached and confronted and in one incident verbally accosted by one of the employees when explained their strict mask policy. They carried themselves as if they had an authority to physically throw out anyone who didnt immediately react when confronted. Although I completely understand the policy they were enforcing and the reasons for the mandates, I do not believe they should have ever had to express any corrections in such a nature. It wasnt just their tones I felt aggressive but even their posture that after observing the second incident I left immediately and havent been back.As an employer I have always expected respectful communication from my employees to any customer no matter the situation. Even when needing policies explained, corrections made or if ever having to excuse someone from my establishments. It has since put a sour taste in my mouth when in the area.

There you find the best quality Adventure Gear, Outdoor Apparel, Footwear and Sporting Goods. Prices are not cheap there though.It is also a home to Ace Hardware Department as well as a Gourmet Kitchen and Gifts Department.

First time here as I needed an item of clothing I felt I would have the best chance of finding here. We were pleasantly surprised by the selection and size of the store. However, most of the employees were wearing masks incorrectly, below nose or completely under chin. I completely respect everyone having their own beliefs, etc, but it is mandated and it would be nice to feel safe as a paying customer. We were able to find one young man at register wearing mask to check us out. We would have otherwise left without purchasing. Likely will not return.

So much variety to see under one roof. Fiestaware to fishing rods. We always find what we are looking for and a few more surprises we did know we just had to have.

Very pleasant environment. Lots of product choices. Sales woman was cheerful and knowledgeable and eager to help. She offered her help before I asked. I appreciated her help as I wasnt sure exactly what I needed. She was very patient with me. All the Staff have always been helpful!

We really appreciate Tri-State. Huge variety of all sorts of stuff. Really appreciate their recent enforement of mask wearing requirements. Dont go there if you dont mask up. We do and we will be back.... often.

They accidently rang up a couple items over the sticker price . I didnt catch it. A couple hours later they called me to let me know. They reversed $148.00 over charge. Now that is what I call customer service.

I love this store! The store in Moscow, Idaho is so personable and the sales representatives are so friendly and helpful. A sales representative there, Natasha, helped me to price match a tent and made my experience there so personal. She shared with me some insight about different camping tents and helped me make a decision on what would work best for me. another sales representative in the shoe department, I didnt catch her name, was also really helpful in helping me pick out a pair of water sandals. If you want a personalized experience, this is definitely the place to go! And the store is super dog friendly! My dog feels right at home there. Thank you so much for wonderful service. I will be a lifetime customer for as long as I live in the Palouse!!! 🌈❤️

Went in looking for 2 specific items in different departments. The gentleman in the shoe section tracked down the last pair that they had for me. In the outdoor section, the lady told me really cool facts about the company that made the bag I was looking at.

Tristate is a great store if you want to pay absolute full price for a product. Their employees are all amazing, especially their cashiering dept. who will help you out with nearly every need. However, a major flaw in the company is the customer service coming from the manager. She seems to run a tight ship, but does not honor the customer is always right type policy you may see from companies such as Starbucks or Patagonia. If you ever have a complaint, DO NOT ask for the head manager because you will not get the answer you want. I would recommend any other dept. head and they will all gladly help you out with a smile. And for all that, Tristate gets 2 stars. The captain goes down with the ship, and I must say with a heavy heart that after my experience, I will not be going back to Tristate.

Tri State is always a must stop destination for me. I love their selection in kitchen wares and I love their shoe selection.

Tri-state lives up to its reputation as “the most interesting store in Idaho.” I could spend hours browsing!Decent selection of camping and hunting gear, including firearms and ammunition (which is what draws me to the store most often).

Tri state has dissapointed me greatly more than once. I used to go there oten to buy outdoor equipment and liked the quality of the items i bought. Although I noticed I could buy the same stuff at other stores or online for substantially cheaper prices, and with an inability to price match I stopped buying things from them. I have known people to work there and have heard that they have quite horrendous managment, and I truly feel sympathy for the people who have had to deal with the managers that have gave them no exceptions for life outside of work. I had a friend who had to go home for christmas, but had to work that evening. Tri state was unable to giv ehim any time off so he drove down to home (5 hours) and drove right bakc up the next morning. I personally have seen the managers be verbally rude to the employees in front of customers. I would advise taking your time and money elsewhere. And I would encourage Tri State in Moscow to seek better managment.

I used to go to Tri-State all the time when I lived in Moscow. They have a great selection of items and you always find something interesting that you haven’t seen anywhere else. This place is a real gem for outdoor enthusiasts. I just saw today that Tri-State is employee-owned, which makes sense because any time I went in there the employees were extremely helpful and you could tell they truly cared about their customers and their shopping experience.

Fairly priced Missy of the time. They have items you cant find until you reach Lewiston or Spokane. I LOVE their gun selection, always something new!

Felt it was a little expensive. Guess that is what happens in small towns. Other than that it was a real nice store with big selections.

Amazing fishing poles and other out door gear

While there are awesome products here, theres much improvement needed in creating friendly and quality staff, Ive heard they some staff I knew that they have made rude comments about me even personal! And even wrote negative on computer comments because I returned a few things?! And prices are high but you usually get what you pay for in top end products. Luckily they have more good staff than bad to push this up to a 3 star from a 2.

Our family has been shopping at their locations for years, always fantastic & friendly staff.

All of the employees I talked to while there were very kind and helpful. Everyone seemed like they actually enjoyed their jobs. The selection was great, and the staff was very knowledgeable. My only complaint was that prices were a bit high on ammunition. Other than that though, great experience. Will definitely be going back.

Always a nice experience

This particular Tri-State has unparalleled customer service I go in there and every single time they help me find what Im looking for without problems. The store has a really good selection especially regarding camping or anything outdoors. The building is clean, well lit, and organized. The other shoppers seem to be kind and it isnt too crowded in the building. The management is superb - they do a really good job with their employees and their organization. As I stated before all the employees are quick to help you and they dont seem to have a drop of arrogance. Parking outside is usually not a problem. The only con is the ludicrous mark-up they instill on all of their products. I usually come here before an item or two regarding outdoor activities or camping, however because of the price I dont load my cart here. Most of their goods are high quality and usually have warranties when applicable. I also believe that they have some kind of customer rewards program if youre into that sort of thing.

Tri-State is a very well put together outfit. I was very impressed with the professionalism and process that they took for my first fire arm purchase. I am very glad that I went to Tri-State then anywhere else to purchase my rifle. Thank you employees of Tri-State

Weve been in to Tri-State Outfitters several times in the last few months. The people have always been super helpful and friendly. They are also laid back and never give us grief for just browsing.Were happy to have such a great store in our new hometown.

Ive been to Tri-State several times in the short time Ive lived here in Moscow, and they have absolutely the best selection of boots and coveralls/work clothes out of anyone in the area. They care about their customers and work hard to do right by them.

A guys mall that the ladies enjoy too. I often come to buy something, and leave with both a product and a whole lesson in how to use it (from both staff and other customers).

Very awesome, lady was very sweet and helpful, they where all pretty uppity and it was a good atmosphere . I like going places where everyone seems happy and it makes shopping a better experience. Ill be back soon to get the boot I think I may want and some winter clothes.
