George was absolutely wonderful. Made sure to explain everything. He even delayed his vacation for 1 day to make sure the part got put in before we sold the house. We wanted it to be fixed for the new owners. He made that happen. Very honest and again explained everything so well about the process. Will definitely use Ward Elkins again!

OMGosh these guys were awesome - super fast turnaround, so very polite and definitely knowledgeable. They didnt have the belt for my washer in stock - they ordered it and will come back out to install it at no extra charge WOW!!! They cleaned up the old one so that I could use the machine until the new belt comes in. What a pleasure to do business with such wonderful people. We were fortunate enough to get the owner, George, out here to repair our machine. If you ever get the opportunity to meet George, you will love him. So glad we are fortunate enough to have you in Murray, KY!!!!

Did not show up for appointment. I called to see why they didnt show up they said they no longer are coming bc they dont work with the warranty company anymore but 24 hours before this I spoke to them on the phone and they said they would be there between 11:00 and 3:00 and didnt bother to tell me. Very unprofessional!
George called to let me know he was on the way and got right to business when he arrived. Diagnosed the issue and had it repaired within the hour. Two thumbs up!!
Nov. 20, 2020 My experience with Ward Elkins INC was positive experience & service. George said we needed a new motor it would take 10 days because they have to order it. well we got it in 3 days earlier. I know who Im gonna call George TJ You guys ROCK
Excellent, quick, reliable, friendly service. They have been in constant communication with me since I first called with an issue. They had to order a part so it took a week or so. There may be other good appliance repair services in the area & I hope whomever you call provides you with great service, but I dont see how it could get any better than these folks. I hope I never have other appliance issues, but if I need repairs I am definitely calling them first. Theyre based in Murray, but made the drive to Paducah to help. Highly recommend
$99.95 For a person to tell me my oven was old. He could not unlatch the cleaning lock. After seeing him try and fail. 5 minutes after he left I opened it. Live and learn, try yourself. Not all experts are experts.

Definitely need help learning how to run a business. Phone etiquette is awful. I will be following up on some HUGE concerns I have with how things are done here bc unfortunately it’s not stuff I can overlook.

George is a great guy! He is very knowledgeable, explain things clearly. He gave one year warranty for the part and labor. Sweet guy. He had to order that part, but it was fast as he promised. Very happy in finding him to take care of my refrigerator.

This business is very frustrating. A repairman came out to repair the dryer. He broke a water pipe that was in the utility room. Water sent everywhere. He worked on the dryer for 2 hours and changed 2 parts and still didnt get it fixed. Said he would have to order a part. He said another serviceman man would have to come repair the water pipe. The water had been turned off for 2 hours. Two more repair man came to the house and did not have the proper part for the water line. They said they would go get the part and come back and fix the line. Meanwhile my husband came home and fixed the pipe. 2 1/2 hours later the men come to fix the water pipe. Our water would have been off for 5 hours if my husband had not fixed the pipe. They said they went and did some other repairs and then came back. My husband would not let them fix it because they had no paperwork showing they were plumbers. They said to call a plumber. My husband had already fixed. The repairman guy called and said that Maytag had refused this claim and would send out another repair company. Maytag was going to pay for this repair. I called Maytag and they said they paid the claim. Ward Elkins ordered 2 parts and one of them was in and waiting on the other. So I was waiting for Ward Elkins to call me. I dont really think I want them back in my house though. I called Ward Elkins and have not heard back from them. If they would mail me the parts we could fix it, because Maytag will not send for another repair person because they have already paid for our parts. Later I found out from another that Ward Elkins was on the shady side.
Excellent customer service and quality of work I scheduled an appointment the service technician arrived on time and got to work my dryer was making loud noises and wasnt drying the clothes he quickly determined the issue and let me know how much it would cost I approved and quickly fixed the issue my dryer is working like new thank you!
Very rude staff Do Not hire these people they canceled my appointment without calling me back in June 24 they were on their way here and then called me and told me that they had a flatt tire and would not be out I took off they whole day Im nurse at Vanderbilt I needed to be their not wanting on these people when they finally got there it was a problem with my comprsser however I was told I would get a call back in 24 hours and let me know one way or the other no call back when I had time i called back i was greeted with most rude man he should not work with the public, they told whirlpool i called every day and was rude to them kinda hard to call every day when I work 15 hours days trying to save lives from covi19 he was so condescending and rude,and I got mad and i got rude all I wanted was some answers when they were going to come out and fix my refrigerator they need to fire this guy but intell they do I wouldnt have them work on your appliances.
My experience was excellent! Great customer service, technician was extremely knowledgeable. He was patient and explained in detail my issue from how it works to why it wasn’t. This company is by far the place to call, it is staffed with experienced knowledgeable technicians. I recommend their services 💯, you will not be disappointed!

Do not use this firm. Poor service, well actually no service at all from the Murray Office and their hostile office workers who want to blame others for their failures. The service repairman failed to show for appointment or did not call. So, the next morning I visited the local office to find out what happened. The young woman working the counter local immediately became hostile and threatening when questioned. She went lengths to trying to blame me and then accused me of being hostile when I asked why the repairman did show. I showed her my phone log and again she accused of me of saying she is a liar, because the repairman tried to call. I asked her to call the repairman now so he could tell me when he called. She refused saying she did like my attitude and I would NEVER get service from them. Isn’t that an over the top response from a single employee of this larger company. It remains he did not show for the appointment. In fact I called the office in the late afternoon and a male named Tommy answered. When I told him we had not received a call, he assured me the repairman would arrive. After the repairman failed to show I called the office after hours, left a message to that effect. So I guess that call gave them all - the office worker and the repairman, a chance to make up their defense - which was to say it was our fault and that my wife and I were lying. For my wife and I who sat at home all afternoon waiting for call and the repair - we can assure who is lying - it is not us - it is the employees of Ward Elkins! The management of Ward Elkins has a significant problem at the Murray Office and should hold the office workers accountable for their actions.
Part came in faster than expected and was out the next day for fix. Tech was polite and quick and got our fridge fixed so ice dispenser worked only complaint is fan runs at times and is a little louder than expected.
Whirlpool/Kitchenaid scheduled them for warranty service on our freestanding ice maker in June 2017. A serviceman came out and “fixed” it. He told us to call if there were continued problems. No ice was being made so we scheduled him to come out again, but he couldn’t get there until July. He looked again and said a part would need to be ordered. He came back in August 2017 and installed the part with the same instructions as the time before. Still no ice. He ordered another part and returned in September, and still no ice. He said the unit would have to be taken from my home and repaired at the shop. He removed the unit October 2017. I called to check on it before Thanksgiving and we were told the parts we needed were on back order and it would be January before it was repaired. We called in January and were told the parts were still on back order. We called again in February and were told the same. We called Whirlpool and told them the situation and the parts were overnighted. They said there was no back order and called Ward-Elkins to see what the problem was. I called in March and told That the technician would call me. A few calls later, I actually got to talk to the serviceman who told me that it was not able to be repaired and he would be ordering us a new one. I was very pleased with that and he said he would call when the new one was shipped to him. After another month, I called again and the receptionist told me one was there but she didn’t know who it belonged to and would let me know. A couple of weeks went by and I called again with no response. The ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of the ice machine being removed from my home came, and I called again last week. I was told they were on fall break and the technician would call me on Monday. I waited all day and called. The receptionist said she would have the technician call me. Guess what! No call again. I called again today and said that I’ve waited very patiently but wanted an answer. The receptionist said that the technician said that the machine in not repairable and that Whirlpool wasn’t working with him to get us a new one so we can schedule a time to drive to his shop to pick up the broken one. Are you freaking kidding me????I asked why it took all this time to be told this. We are filing a formal complaint with Whirlpool. I’m not as upset about it not being repaired as the horrible communication and complete disregard of our time and equipment. Had I not decided to finally just call daily to get an answer, I’d probably never have received one. Horrible service, horrible communication, horrible follow-up and undoubtedly little skill or knowledge of repair work.

Lowes protection plan intially sent a PaducahAppliance Repair technician who could not repair my machine and said he would order a pump but then never followed up.This organization then did not return any followup phone calls over a 14 day period leaving me with the broken machine.Lowe,s then ordered Ward- Elkins. What a delightful difference. Their prompt response, careful,competent,well- trained technician repaired my Bosch dishwasher in one visit . I would definitely call on this business again.
