My car looked like it was ransacked. Things I had in the middle console were in the back, on the passengers floor and seat. I had my car charger in the middle little pocket under the radio and they took the car charger part off and left the cord. I tried calling three times to speak to a manager, they transferred me all over I finally left a message to a manager. Im sure it wasnt bc no one ever called me back. Yes theyre friendly but wow, unacceptable. I also had a little canister of coins, also missing. Im sure there are other things missing I havent noticed. Its pretty sad you take your car in and come out with a mess and missing things. My pay stub was taken out hopefully they didnt take my information. Overall wouldnt go back, I left feeling violated.

Great customer service! First I went in for a pre-sale inspection of the car I was hoping to buy from another dealer. Then I took the car in to get the rear caliper changed and also replace the tires. Everyone was very helpful and nice.Dante Webster was the person who assisted me by email, phone and in person. I dont know much about cars but Dante was very attentive and patiently explained the services that were being done thoroughly, which made things a lot easier to understand.I appreciate his help and Ill be going back when needed.Thank you, Dante!

Great and quick service! Took my car for 1 recall and I ended up doing 2 other ones that they told me about! Got so much fixed up. They asked for 6 hours to get all done, but the car was ready in 3 hours.Dante and Sal were really fast and helpful!They also offered 2 Lyft rides.I didn’t pay one single dollar to get my car repaired and left with a free car wash to be used within 7 days.Very happy!

Do not go to get your car serviced or recalls done here . I went and made an appointment to get a recall done with another issue about forward brake and high beam assistance. First was told it would not be covered by warranty even after I stated I had extended warranty. Show up on the day only to get told 2& half hours later the recall is done and I have debris in the camera and they need to do a calibration test. They could not answer why I need a calibration test if there is debris why not take it out then see if that would fix it. Not one person could answer a question and the people love to talk down to you . Only go here if it’s the last place on earth.

Absolutely terrible. They tried pressuring me into leasing and to buy a car about $8,000 over MSRP (before taxes and registration) AND when I said I didnt want to pay that much over MSRP they wanted me to switch to a style I didnt want. Tried to tell me someone else was coming to take the car to try and pressure me (the car was still on the lot for 2 weeks after). THEN I get a letter in the mail that they submitted my credit requesting financing which I was not aware of. So I now have a hard inquiry on my credit from them and I didnt even purchase a vehicle from them. Also, their letter stated they cannot finance a vehicle for me and my credit score is an 802. So I do NOT recommend this place AT ALL.

The only reason I would bring my car to this dealer is because is a KIA and you would think they would specialize in their own cars, but hey do not have a clue when it’s something more than a oil change. They do not have any customers skills nor they are honest. Last service I went for was because my check engine light was on and after 3 weeks they came back to me saying it needed the motor chance because they found sludge in the oil. I took it to a generic mechanic and he replace a cam & shaft sensor and it been running like nothing. Now I need them to refund me for a part I order and they never called me for and they want me to drive to store to get refund. Not sure what kind of software they have but it must be old to have customers drive to store to get refunds. Oh but if you want to pay by phone that is okay. Think twice before bringing your car here.

Came here wanting to test drive a stinger and a SUV we found interest in and was told by the sales guy there was no point of me test driving a stinger because I was interested in looking at an AWD one and they only had rear wheel drive. Which I wanted to test drive the stinger to see if I actually liked it, and possibly purchase a RWDStinger. So we decided we wanted to test drive an SUV and their route of testing driving a vehicle is around the block for only 2 mins and back at the dealership. I’m confused as to how someone can really get a feel for a vehicle by just driving it around the block at only 25 mph and that’s it. And then after the test drive he had the audacity to ask if we wanted to buy the vehicle. I also felt as if I knew way more about their vehicles than they did. The only use these sales people have here at Ball Kia is unlocking the vehicles so you can sit in them. Save your time and go to El Cajon Kia. They have more vehicles and better and more helpful employees. I guess this explains why we were the only customers here.

Yet another one of those dealerships that post a sticker price online or somewhere and take a factory vehicle and jack the price up $4-5k with nonsense addons that dont offer any value. They took a new $19k Forte and pushed it to $25k with their dealer addons. Went to another Kia dealer and instead got a new Forte in the higher model series sticker priced for less than they were charging here for the lower end model.

Horrible service from top to bottom. Sales men are rude except maybe two, managers are worse. They are typical dealers who promise you the world until you sign paperwork and then they act like you do not exist. This rudeness was displayed on multiple interactions over different days. Heaven forbid you ask for a clean car and a full tank after purchasing a new car. I don’t write reviews but this is the worst experience I have ever witnessed. I apologized to my friend on behalf of the dealer because this was his first ever new car purchase and I had to ensure him that this is not the right way to do business.

One of the cars on my list to test drive was the TELLURIDE. I decided to go to Ball Kia since the location was convenient for test driving other brand names--even though the google reviews of this dealership were on the lower side.I was greeted by Joe (I think he MAY be a manager of the salespeople). I asked to test drive a Telluride. He said we only have one and pointed to the car as other people were getting into the vehicle for a test drive so youll have to wait. I said, OK can we talk some numbers in the meantime. Im interested in a Lease. He explained that the Telluride is a hot item from here to Boston and they are all listed at $10,000 above MSRP. I replied, Im interested in a Lease what kind of ballpark numbers are we looking at? He said, $10,000 down and $950 a month. My response was, FOR-a-Telluride?!?!??? He snapped back at me saying, well yeah, they are the number one selling SUV on the market. I was shocked and confused since Telluride is not considered one of the LUXURY line vehicles. Afterall, I had already tested Audi and Infiniti models that are considered luxury and they were much less than what Joe just told me.I asked to get more concrete numbers rather than the ballpark figure that he quoted. I followed him into the office where he was more interested in telling other salespeople what to do. The numbers for the Telluride SX came out to be $5000 down - $950/month - 36 months - 10,000 miles per year. I asked what are the terms for 12,000 mi. per year. His reply was, if youre looking for a deal youre not going to get it. Im thinking, OKAAAY....I just asked a direct question and said nothing regarding a deal....since he was rude and didnt answer my question I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt so I decided to ask him a different question.... If I put $10,000 down what would the monthly payments be? As he is sitting in front of the computer monitor, he says- I dont know, Ive left that screen. At that moment, I folded the paper that I was taking notes on---got up out of my chair--- and said... You clearly are not interested in selling me a car. Joe said, well mam you INSULTED THE CAR by saying, FOR-A-TELLURIDE ?!? As I walk out the door of the office, my response was, I see now why you guys have a low google review. The other salesperson in the room made a sneer like tone laugh at my comment.To Ball Kia- your employee Joe is hurting your brand name. I have no interest in buying any car from any of your dealerships. I had every right to be shocked at his ballpark figure of $10K down @ $950/mo. Afterall it was $5000 off the mark. I wont be buying a Telluride anytime soon since the prices are inflated right now. BTW, I went to Kearny Mesa Kia and their Telluride is listed at $5000 above MSRP compared to Ball Kia at $10,000 above.I suggest DO NOT waste your time at this dealership, go elsewhere.

I got my first lease from here almost 3 years ago and it was a great experience . The salesman who helped me was so helpful, but when I went back last week to return my car and get another one I didn’t have a great experience. The salesman did not same to be interested in selling me a car and he was not in a good mood. He initially quoted me a unusually high Price and refused to negotiate in anyway. From the unprofessional behavior, lack of transparency, and pure incompetence. This dealership cannot be trusted, and I regret giving Ball Kia my business. They lied to get us to the dealership and continued to lie throughout the loan process. Something that we had started online before going to the dealer. They will never earn my business again, and the fact they couldnt see that after taking possession of the car, it leads me to believe the car buying system is broken, and so is this dealership. Please stay away from Ball Kia and any deal they try and offer you.

UPDATE: GM Jennifer Ball was supposed to call me back, but never did. Unprofessional and unreliable.Jerry lied to me and told me that the 2021 Kia Niro PHEV is not available until later this year but it is. They will do anything to get cars off their lot. Highly do not recommend this dealer.

Totally unprofessional, they told me to stop talking when I was trying to relay how unprofessional they were being. They told me to stop because there was other customers around. So I insisted on walking the dealership mentioning to all their customers the experience we just encountered. For example making a promise for a piece of equipment and after making the deal and coming back a month later asking for this piece of equipment telling me to go buy it myself.... SHADDY SHADDY SHADDY. STAY AWAY, unless of course you love being lied to and given false hope. Don’t ask for anything just pay a high price and you will be happy if that is your way of doing things.

Went there on a Friday to get info they ran my credit and all, just for them to tell me the banks are closed. The sales man gave me his business card and told me to call him Saturday around noon. Saturday comes around and I call him around 3pm just so he can tell me that they still dont have an answer but he will call me back. Sunday comes around no call, so I didnt bother calling back. Monday comes I call and they said they will have someone call me back asap and nothing. To this moment they still have not called at all. SO quick to run peoples credits but not so great at giving answers or following up.

My car battery had to be jumped 4xs in the last 10 days. I was told because the weather is cold(San Diego near the beach 50 degrees at night) it may affect the vehicle starting. I am from Wisconsin so i know that is total bs. They charged and discharged my car for 2 days. I was without a car for two days and they came back with less than 40 health. The car is a 2020 kia optima leased from them with 2475 miles on the car. I drive the car each day and it may sit for maybe 1/2 days at most without use. They wont replace the battery because it would cost ball kia the battery instead of corporate kia. I am supposed to start my 2020 kia with 2475 miles every day so the battery keeps charged. What a crock and total scam. I am very sure it will repeat the same behavior and i was told to bring it back it so the whole process can be repeated and they will only replace it if they get a failed test. Less than 40% after 2475 miles on a 2020. What a scam/joke. This is my 2nd optime since 2015, never again lesson learned. I will say the service person and courtesy driver were excellent but the policy and overall kia is a joke.

I went to KIA at National City on 11/12/2020 to look at different models since I was looking forward into buying my first car. The second I got there, no one acknowledged me whatsoever, I went inside the building and NO ONE was there. I was standing there for about 10 minutes and a guy, did not notice that I was standing in there waiting to be helped, he was looking at his cellphone and went straight to a room.Afterwards, I went outside to look at the models and HOPEFUL that there was going to be someone to help me out.There was this guy helping another couple which they clearly saw me looking at the models and information sheet and did not said anything to me, I mean at least some sort of aknowledgement would have been nice!I could not stand there another min, so I left, clearly, that was the best decision.I ended up going to Honda Penske. They have such an amazing customer service and I bought my new Insight 2021 that same day.I wouldnt recommend KIA at National City. They probably saw me really young and naive and couldnt even imagine that I was ready to purchase a car. Too bad, they ended up losing a sale and a potential customer!

Just purchased the new Kia Seltos and got the top model on the lot with all the features I was looking for my needs. The staff was excellent with me and my family. Jorge gave us all the info and mad the sale smooth and easy to finish. Car was clean, full tank of gas and couldnt be happier. No pressure deal and would recommend anyone wanting a Kia to go here.

This is just your average dealership, went there hoping for a great experience but average is all I got.I got an electric vehicle, they did not offered or pointed to any available options for ev owners (like the car pool access line). The clean air rebate, that they are supposed to claim, they would not, I had to do it myself. And cherry on top, car had only 30% battery, apparently their charger was not working, so my first stop was to charge the battery.Average service at best, I would think twice before going back again.

First off the mile of cars has a bad reputation to begin with and with the experience my wife and I had things certainly have not changed. This is a costco authorized dealer and as such the price is the price with zero pressure to buy. That is what is advertised on costco website and with the phone calls from the authorized dealer stating the same thing. I arrived and was hawked even before I got out of the car. I stated to the salesman that I was there to speak with the costco rep and was told he was not there but they were authorized to proceed without him. I found that odd since I had an appointment and the caution flags started to raise from there. It took an hour for them to bring a hand written paper with numbers all over taking the car well above MSRP by three thousand. These were for dealer installed items like paint protection, undercoating, and addition car alarms. Not factory items! These items should never be forced on the buyer! These are optional items! We decided to walk away because we knew we were being set up and while doing so they attempted to stall our departure to the point of blocking us from backing out of the parking spot. The entrapment was the final nail in the coffin and I will travel a hundred miles before going to mile of cars and ball kia ever again.

If they claim customer service Jorge and Cesar missed the memo. Jorge was not willing to show me a car I was wanting to look at he said I wouldn’t want the engine option it had. Cesar was hell bent on making a sale and not trying to help get us out of our lease that he was trying to get us to agree to 3 car payments and one for a car we wouldn’t be driving anymore. They don’t know what they are doing and I would t recommend going there.

We met w/ Tony who was very personable, not your typical aggressive salesman & let us explore the car at our own leisure. We really liked the no pressure to buy right away. My wife & I slept on it and decided to purchase the vehicle at an amazing price the next day. Erik handled our finance papers and made the process easy with great conversation. On July 9, 2020 went to look at a 2015 Mazda CX5 (JM3KE2CY0F0546451) they had on their website on their lot. When we got there, they said the Mazda was just put on the lot and was getting refurbished. They then took us up the street to the maintenance lot, and they were able to find out the car was sent off-site to get reupholstered, as the previous owner had a dog that ate the backseat, and to come back the next day to see the car.Next day (July 20,2020) rolls around and go back. The car was there, it had not been cleaned up or anything, and had a wet dog smell to it which was attempted to be covered up with heavily sprayed floral scent. Test drove the car anyway, and otherwise it was in good condition. Was told I could come back in a few days when the car was detailed to see it again.Arrived back on July 12,2020 and the car was cleaned up, still had an overpowering floral scent. The price was in budget and decided to purchase the vehicle. After getting numbers and paperwork in process, 2 other women showed up to look at the car. At this point I was signing the paperwork agreed on, and they still allowed them to drive and test the car out. Ive never been to a dealership that even pulls something like that. Cont. on to finance dept up the street and got official paperwork and be on my way.Come Thursday July 23,2020 I get a phone call from Edgar, Finance guy I signed my paperwork with. He told me that I needed to come in and re-sign everything. I asked him what was going on, and he told me, the car was now 12k (not the listed 14k, and what was on my original paperwork), and couldn’t tell me why all of a sudden it dropped and also that my paystubs I provided were fake and made in Microsoft Word. Now this is where things continued to get sketchier and sketchier. I dont even think that’s legal to say to a customer, which Naval Legal will be looking into this part, and beyond insulting. The new magic car price and my new payment terms where completely different from the original signed paperwork. I asked him who/what/where/why, and he told me he had to call me back. That night no return call.Friday rolls around (July 24,2020), and I called him 2x with no response. He called me back a few hours later, and still no exact details needed but still wanting me to go in and re-sign new paperwork. I told him I didn’t feel comfortable with that, with no hard details and blindly going into a situation, On top of being told Im making my own paystubs. I told him he could forget it and take the car back, and give me my down payment back, and that all of this sounded very sketchy and unethical. He told me he would call back. I told him I would bring the car back at 5:30PM. I get a text that another person, Diego, would meet me at finance and help me from there. When Diego arrived, he asked what was going on and I told him everything and how I would take my business elsewhere that’s appreciated. He mentioned that no one else in finance/dealership there wanted to help him because they didn’t like him, or like helping each other, so he didnt know what was going on. Things just dont add up, they accuse you of things, and no one likes each other at this place? They need to get their act together. Im not one that will accept being treated in this manner or be pushed around/taken advantage of. There were 0 apologies from any of the accusations they put on me or anything. Take your values, ethics and business elsewhere.

Mark Bocinski is a terrific car salesman. I have been looking for a vehicle for a year and some months, and have had several unpleasant dealings with different dealers salesmen and in different locations. Mark was really patient; very accommodating, and helpful. He has a very pleasant demeanor, and knows the cars well. I will definitely see him first next time i need another car.

Not impressed with Ball Kia team in the least. Made initial contact through the website asking for the ePrice and availability on two used Kias. The response was immediate and learned that I was entitled to a Costco discount, which was great. I made an appointment to come to look at the cars and found the person I was talking to was not onsite and the reception didnt even seem to know him. Eventually, they paired me with another sales rep who was very nice and did not pressure me, almost to a fault. I couldnt get a bottom line number on anything from used to new to purchase or lease. Eventually, I was handed off to another sales rep who was very nice as well. We ended the day with him promising to contact me the next morning with the best price he could offer. No call the next day. Eventually, I contact him and the original person I had talked with and no response from the sales rep but a promise from the other to get me an answer. Here we are at today and again no contact. Finally, I send a message again asking for the best price to which I finally get a call back only to tell me they couldnt do any better. Thats fine, I understand they can only do so much, but there was no follow up on the other vehicles I looked at or any interest in getting me in a car, which is amazing during these times. There are a lot of Sorentos available and I will find one but definitely not at this dealership.

Long wait time to see someone, even though I had made an appointment through the Costco car program. The place was dead at 6pm on a Tuesday, and I still had to wait to be given a less than stellar deal (even with the Costco discount). Very limited selection, and they seemed willing to push me over to other car brands that I wasnt interested in, since they own multiple lots on that strip.

I took my wifes car to get serviced on my day off. I assure you its the last thing I wanted to do on my time. However these guys made it easy. Felipe was very helpful and informative. He had a shuttle waiting to take me home and pick me up when my car was ready. They took care of all my issues and even washed my wifes car wich I had planned to do after. I was overly impressed when his manager (I think it Dandre or Dante), checked in with us to ensure our experience was up to expectations. Great team. Very happy with my visit.

I’m really disappointed with the whole car buying experience. I came in to test drive a 2019 Kia Sorento and was immediately pressured to buy. We agreed on a price and I told them I’d come back the next day with my husband. The next day, they added $750 to the total and tried to convince me this was the price we agreed upon previously. I provided proof of the original price, and they relented after making me wait over an hour. They tried to convince me to buy a different color car with different trim, and made me wait another hour to look for the color I wanted. The financing department pressured us into buying an additional alarm for the car and told me the car did not have any type of alarm preinstalled. Guess what? My non-existent car alarm went off that night so I paid an additional $600 for a second car alarm. Totally shady and the whole process took 6 hours from start to finish.

I came here recently to get service for my kia. Came back several days later to my car in the same condition it was when I got it. I paid my deductible to cover basic repairs and denied the recommended service because I thought it was a little too expensive. It doesnt seem like they did much to my car, but even with paying my deductible for basic service I dont see why quality service shouldnt be performed. I got the vibe from them that theyre money hungry. Im sure theyre great when it comes to car sales, but I dont feel the same about service. Ill figure out some other way to get my check engine light removed and get overall quality service for my car for a decent price.

My airbag light came on about 1 month ago (Sept). Kia want to charge around $120/150 for a Diagnostic check. I refused to pay so much so I took it to a carshop where i have been going for years. They did a Diagnostic check for $45 and immediately informed me that it is a manufacture issue. They said if I were to crash my airbags will not function. Kia did 3 recalls on my car Friday (10/28/2016) and they check off during inspection that my airbags are bad. They refuse to fix since my warranty has expired. I think this should be fixed since I am not the make of the car and it is out of my control that it messed up. When I spoke to the staff member he (Alonso) wasnt helpful and just passed me to his GM inbox. Never again will I buy a car from Kia, especially this location.All over the internet I have seen the same comments about this issue and still Kia wont budge to flip the bill. Hopefully it doesnt take someone being in an accident and loosing their life for them to take charge. Cause I am sure they will be slapped with a Lawsuit.

Initially, I would have rated the dealership a 4 or 5. They do try to really push you into a lease rather than a purchase, and they will initially try to lowball your trade in. I wouldn’t expect anything different from a dealership. They gotta make profit. Go into the dealership knowing what your trade in is worth and go in knowing what you want and do not settle. They are, after all, a business and are there to make money. Other thank that, the sales team was great and will work with you to get you what you want in the right price range to a reasonable degree. So, as far as dealers go, I think the sales team is pretty dang good. Armando was a pleasure to work with!Now, the reason for the 2 stars. I bought my vehicle with my trade in. The financing department is very slow. Do not expect them to pay off your existing vehicle with any sort of haste whatsoever. As I am sitting here typing, I am on day 10 after purchase and my previous lender is still not paid. Because of this, they have drafted another payment out of my account... for a car that I no longer have and is already on the sales lot. Therefore, I am $535 out of money, which will cause the 10 day payoff to be inaccurate and will need to be refunded the money from the original creditor, a process that can take weeks.To make matters worse, I called to inquire about why it was taking so long to handle the payoff, and the financing representative told me I wasn’t the only car they dealt with. What kind of unprofessional answer is that?If you go here and trade in a vehicle, be prepared for them to drag their butts long enough for another payment on your last loan to be due.

Can’t say more about the salesman and management of Ball Kia, especially Danny Terriquez. From day one when my wife and I were just looking at vehicles, there was no pushiness to buy, the salesman are very knowledgeable.As anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle you try to get the best deal you can. I unfortunately received a deal from another dealer that was amazing, but having enjoyed the people at Ball Kia, we came to them to see if the could match or beat the deal. Originally they were not able to match, but a few days later our orginal salesman we dealt with when “looking” at cars reached out to me and offered to see what he could do.Well, he was able to match the offer, and made the purchase process seamless and painless.Ball Kia even took the car back upon walk around on noticing scratches and blemishes and offered to have detailed again or possibly painted depending on what their detailed has to say.Update, the detailer can get it out the scratched, but he would like to do the entire car, so Ball Kia is going to see about a rental car and schedule a day to work on the car.Like I said, really great salesman and dealership. Think I can say, I might be a lifetime customer of theirs.

I bought a car from this place in April. I was satisfied with the purchase. I was told my 1st oil change would be free. I set the appointment and showed up on time, only to be ignored by the entire staff of the service department. The girl working there with the long dark hair is very snotty. I left. I want to add that i have referred 2 co workers who both bought cars from ball kia. Bad customer service.

Ive been buying and leasing cars both personally and for business executives for over 30 years. I have never enjoyed the experience more than at Ball Auto KIA, which also includes Honda, Acura, Mitsubishi and one of the most comprehensive inventory of quality used cars from all brands.I may have been spoiled by my sales guy Mark Bocinski who I will try to recruit for my company. Total pro, expert on cars, and an all around great guy. I have to give props to Erick who helped get me to the #s I needed. Look these guys up and enjoy your car buying experience.I bought 2 KIA Niros for me and my wife (saving us $800.00 in gas per month), and brought my daughter back who chose an Acura ILX at a great price. I rarely review but these guys were worth it

The shuttle service is a 10 mile radius which they didnt notify me when I asked over the phone. I lived 2 miles outside of it! I was told they wouldnt pick me up after my car was fixed because of traffic. Alex who completely ignored me /didnt make eye contact. he went to see if the techs could do the recall while my car was being serviced left me in the waiting room 30 mins. I went back to the service office and was better assisted by Sal while Alex sat there still didnt acknowledge me or answer. Who takes 1.5 hours for a simple oil change with an appointment? Definitely will be going elsewhere for service. The bathrroms were gross and so were the toys in the play area.

This was my first car purchase experience and it left a bad taste. The sales person showed me a Kia Rio 2016 that was priced for $15999 zero miles. After running my credit and got approved by my bank they raised the priced to $17250 so I could get the rebated for 1500 an. The sales person did not even let me do a test drive, sold me a new car 2016 no electric windows, no alarms, and the mirrors do not even have lights for $23500!. This is bad sales tactics, I suggest to go to other dealership do not waste your time in this place.

KIA misrepresented fuel economy ratings. Got caught, and had to reimburse $$$Millions to unsuspecting Consumers.Over 5 years has passed, and no reimbursement. I suspect intransigence on Kias behalf. No meaningful explanations or incisive updates on web page.Meanwhile, there are paltry reimbursements based on (e.g.) yearly mileage.Consumer is required to do all the heavy lifting, including visiting dealership (standing in line) to verify mileage submitted, just in case someone tries to steal a nickel from this Multi-National Corporation.Five weeks ago I visited Ball Kia, National City, Service Dept---for mileage verification.And now Kia Corporate claims that they had never received such verification from Ball Kia, nor did they contact me for this omission on behalf of the Ball Kia dealership. The guy who handled the verification on behalf of Ball Kia seemed not to understand the reason I was there, or the process for reimbursement. He claimed to be the Service Manager.After many phone calls with corporate, and with Ball Kia---he resubmitted the mileage figures.When I had visited them again, in person, to make sure that the process had been done correctly, and had indeed been transmitted to the Corporate Reimbursement Program, the Service Manager became incensed, yelled at me, refused to verify the resubmission, and threatened to call the Police unless I left immediately.Totally surreal: misrepresentation, intransigence, stone-walling, error compounding error, miscommunication, non-communication, threats, belligerance, humiliation, et al.I would suggest avoiding these people---like the plague.

All of the vehicles we looked at had unreported add ons like aftermarket alarms and door protectors that allowed them to jack up the price 2-3 thousand. Not the best bargain.
