5 star for being a shrunked version of a big store but everything is good ranged on the shelves and almost everywhere...good job!!

Lones are too long but they do move fast.

Kind of rude. The main lady manager is really nice she helped. But twice we been there and the customer service is no good. But the store is clean and well stocked.

I love this Store... it provides EVERYTHING! However, Ive developed an illness that doesnt allow me to physically visit the Store to complete grocery shopping anymore... I now use their Online Shop from Home services and have been VERY SATISFIED with that service.

Great availability of products but worker dont have any customer service skills. I shopped there a few times thinking it would be better experience the next time around but very time I have had bad experience with cashiers. They are extremely rude and everytime I have gone there I spend $200 or more

Great place to shop. They have lots of varieties and foreign products. Clean and organized. Lines however are always the longest so theres always a significant wait time. But its in the heart of the city and a main shopping center. Its always crowded so there is a chance youll meet very interesting people inside and outside the facility during your visit. Staff is pretty efficient all things considered.

Busy and not too long wait in lines. Staff seems to handle every customer in a timely manner. Well I was here at lunchtime. So it was in and out at that time. Next time I will visit in the morning to see if its still as fast as it was when I went. I asked a million questions and the staff answered them.

This ShopRite is a newer building so they have more amenities offered The only negative is the lines are off and long so I avoid rush hour at this particular location. But hot food offered is surprising the different options and the soul food taste. For example sweet potato pie curry and jerk chicken pizzas decent breakfast sandwiches are good also. You must try the THAI CHILI CHICKEN, warning it doesnt last long, but if you can find it in that afternoons WOW. Please believe me.

The Newark ShopRite @ 206 Springfield Ave has gotten to be one of the worst ShopRite Stores. The lines are outrageous, due to associates standing around talking and the Order Express App is a joke. I placed an order at 3:16 pm to be picked up at 4:00 and when I went to get it they claim that it never was placed even though I had the confirmation number. Then when I asked for the order I was told I would have to wait which I did and at 6:30 pm the order still had not been prepared and the deli associates proceeds to tell me that I had to take another number and wait even longer. What good is the App? Going back to ShopRite of Kearny.

Cant give less then 1 star.If only I could...Does corporate look at these ratings!!!Try to patronize my local shoprite. Born and raised in Newark!!! But god help me the lines are outrageous. 930 a.m on a Sunday and 3 registers are open. Writing this review as I am in the line. Got in line at 930. 935 still waiting. I stopped coming to this Shoprite years ago now I remember why. I see that many people posted same issue. Corporate office PLEASE review!!

I find them generally well stocked, and, they do TRY to keep the check-out lines moving smoothly and promptly. Unfortunately, not all of the customers play along. They also seem clean and the food is generally fresh and well maintained.

I absolutely LOVE this ShopRite! They have so much variety that I could spend all day UP AND DOWN those aisles!! Does get BUSY in the evenings, so prepare to wait on line for a while.

This place has no consideration for its customers. There were only four cashiers to check out a store full of customers. When I asked if there they could put more cashiers I was told they didnt have any.While I was in line I called customer service to make a complaint the person hung the phone up while I was speaking. This store had very poor service.After waiting more than 45 minutes in the checkout line I had to replace my frozen food items. This store needs better management.

I did online shopping and misunderstood the email, picked up my groceries late and they were close . I explained to 1 of the employees my situation and he stated that he will help me and get me my groceries. He also explained the App a little better to me and how online shopping works . Disappointed that a clerk in the hot food section, would not bring out fresh greens. Thats one of the main reason, I come to shoprite in Newark. I live in Orange, I shop in East Orange,or West Orange So please advise the helpThat they should be helpful. Thank you!

ShopRite is a great place to grocery shop but they need to have baggers to help the cashiers to get customers out faster, it gets slow as the cashier rings up your items because they also have to help the customers bag their items too. So, that keeps the customers in the store longer than they have to be.

Rather not say anything negative about this fun place. I just wish people would be a little less bothersome 😃 life goes on.

Me and my aunt and son went shopping .We got everything we need to get. You didnt have to wait in line for a long time. We had an smooth and pleasant trip to the Supermarket.

Shoprite in Newark is where I shop. Their might be a few items that they dont have in stock. But this is usually my choice when trying to find a item

This was my first time going their. The staff seems very knowledgeable about the products. The store is guarded by police officers. I just popped in because it was on my way home.

I was hosting a meeting with my sister club and decided I didn’t want to cook so i ordered from the catering department from the Newark location. I ordered a sandwich platter, rotisserie chicken and a pan of lobster mac and cheese. I paid a lot of money for the food. The sandwich platter and the chicken was fine. The lobster mac that i paid $50 for was a complete disaster!... not only was it tasteless it was a pan of mac and cheese with just a few pieces of lobster thrown on top.. everyone complained about it and it was very embarrassing. It was not worth the $50 I paid for it and the pan was small. I really feel like i need my money back. I paid a lot a money thinking i would get quality food... and I instead i got a dish (lobster mac and cheese )that appeared to be thrown together.

The food is fresh. Nice sales and an amazing deli

Shoprite was ok today. Not congested. Was able to move around with no problem; get what I came for; and out on my way.

Just moved to jersey and I’m closer to this shop rite and I would rather drive all the way back to Brooklyn to grocery shop!! The customer service here is soooo distasteful i greet them with a hello they ask me what do I want….’further more they never have anything in the seafood department!! One day they have the item the very next day their out it’s so off and on no consistency to their stock

I usually go to this store in the morning as soon as it opens. Dont like going there after 10:00 in the morning. Dont like the environment of the store after that time.

Shelves are all ways packed, but the negroes need to keep the car park clean.

The only saving grace of this place is the regional manager that was in today. The staff are hot garbage. Was speaking to a lady in english and she had the audacity to tell me speak to me in english if you want my help it was in english the entire interaction.

Its a good clean store overall great but stay away from the stores fresh whatever. Not very good or fresh and overpriced. Also has very long lines so plan on being there for some time.

I had my 82 year old mother with me and the store wasnt to crowded and we didnt have long wait in line check out. Our cashier im giving her 5 stars, super nice and very helpful i wish I got her name. It feels like being detained because at around 5 pm est after work it is over crowded, under staffed, and the employees are not polite at all, most employees are on theyre cell phones as they work. Over 75 min wait on line thats right I said 75 min wait, whats going on! I blame it on poor management and Mayor Boraka. Who says he is for small business. There is not enough black business in Newark. Why is there one supermarket on springfield. There should be more black owned supermarkets.

I love Shop Rite they stack their shelves as fast as they can n have a good variety of things I cant find nowhere else.

They crab legs be NICE for a decent price and the sushi is always tasty. For the most part theyre always pretty well stocked on most food items I use. Love this store!

ShopRite is doing a job during the pandemic. They spacing markers on the floor where you stand on line to enter the for a register. There are ShopRite employees stationed at the aisles to direct customers to the appropriate cashier for checking out. Also there are arrows on the floor to direct customers to walk in the same direction so they are to safe distance. Thank you for caring. I wish everyone would care during this pandemic.

Good supermarket with a huge selection

The workers are super friendly and going early mornings is usually a in and out thing. They also carry alternate lifestyle products which come in handy since all my children are vegan and my baby drinks only Hemp milk.

Long lines to many registers closed.

The workers were helpful at lining everyone up to the register and they had lines on the ground for social distancing, but despite all of this, people still were a little TOO crowded. Especially in places like Newark or East Orange
