Always amazing! I have leased 2 or 3 laptops from this RAC and the staff always goes above and beyond to help. James, the manager, is insanely knowledgeable when it comes to tech and super helpful when it comes to finding a laptop that fits my particular needs, price point, and doesnt have red on the keyboard (not the backlight). The other James, I believe hes the credit manager, has also always been very helpful and friendly. Everyone in the store has. When times have been hard, theyve done what they could to help out. Ive never once gotten the feeling that they were rushing to pick up something the moment I was late on a payment. When I have had to turn something in because it was a bad week, I think I brought it to the store! These guys are great and they really do seem to care about their customers. Thats rare these days, but very much appreciated!

This has got to be the best place to do business with. I have furnished my entire home and continue to upgrade with this store and staff. I have been using rent a center for a few months now for tires, and James the manager has been so so so helpful! Ive been going through some hard times with work and such and he has been so helpful and willing to work with me! Thank you so much james for being thoughtful and considerate! This location has very friendly and helpful staff. They will make sure you get exactly what you’re looking for and they will see you through until the end of your contract. I appreciate James and his willingness to go up and beyond to help out. He’s extremely friendly. You should check them out for any of your furniture needs.

I would not referral and anyone the rent a center on Warwick blvd Newport News Va because they dont work with you they take your money them come pick up the equipment I paid them to come pick up my equipment they are sorry as hell no one go there

I had to write this review about the positive customer service and satisfaction experience at store #2329. I entered the establishment and had an opportunity to interact with Jim, store manager and his service team Kevin, sales manager, Robert, credit manager and Aaron, the store driver who went out of their way (in their various roles) to accommodate my furniture needs. I appreciate the customer satisfaction strategies they used on my behalf so much... I recently made two cash purchases based on the quality of their product and my positive experiences from working with Jim for the past two months. If you need a good deal for an ideal price (for rental purposes or a cash and carry sale) visit the store and tell the team Mary sent you.

We had an issue, a pretty bad issue. I took down the first review containing the explanation of the issue that we had. The manager, who is very nice and respectful, promptly reached out to us to help solve the problem. He also thoroughly apologized, I was not expecting that.I was more surprised that he didnt wait till the end of the day or next day to handle the situation.The ONLY reason why Im keeping the couch is because of that manager.More of the workers there should strive to be like this man.Thank you very much. Lolol, and now I work here. 🤣🤣🤣 love it.

When i first started renting from this location, everyone was great. BUT if you make a payment in the middle of the day someone is still coming out to your house without verifying that you do not owe anything. The worst part about it is not only do you not owe anything but they will be rude and disrespectful to you at your own house. I actually have a camera at my front door and have it on video. I will not disrespect the employee and upload the video, even if i was disrespected. Just be aware!

I would like to say that my journey to this particular rent-a-center went well, but fortunately Ive never been good at lying. Upon entering the store on yesterday, September 23, 2017 around 11:30 or so, it took the employees what felt like forever to greet us. After finally being greeted, the woman employee came out of her office to offer us her assistance. The male employees seemed to be in a very bad/irritable mood at this time (talking to someone extremely rude on the phone). The woman informed us that she would not be able to assist us with what we were looking for specifically but that the angry man would be better able to do so. When she asked him to help us, Mr. Angry man looked at us and irritably stated, We dont have any. In all fairness, its okay to inform customers that you dont have what they are looking for but tone, pitch, and effort play a very important role in the delivery. Also, he did not ask us what type of furniture we were looking for, or if he could take our numbers down should something arrive later. The female employee apologized to us and informed us that the angry man had a rough day at work the day before. I work as an art therapist and if youre treating your customers illy because of an incident that occurred the previous day, well you may need to take some space and gather yourself to continue your work. Any who, all this to say the service was terrible and I will not be taking my business back to this particular store.Tuesdai Johnson, MS

First of all let’s talk about how the roaches met me at the televisions before he staff did! I was prepared to rent a smart tv and a game system until i saw the insects. The staff presented they didn’t see it and ignored my comments about it. I will never ever ever in this lifetime or the next step foot in another rent a center

I was referred by a friend. I needed a bed. So I went to rac in new market Newport news. I currently owe them 2 payment. They call my sister and left a message for a warrent for my arrest. WHAT! it was not true. Even if your a day late they call you the day its due and threaten you. They have a nasty female who love to treating to kick my door down and stuff. Thank goodness my calls where recorded. I reported them to the necessary people. Do go and rent anything from them. They charge 3 times the amount it normally cost. Stay away

This establishment doesnt even deserve a star, but unfortunately had to give one.First and foremost, I think what ever man is answering the phone needs to learn some customer service phone etiquette. The man answered by telling us hold on. Then picked up and asked to call back in 30mins. Never called back, so we had to call them again.These people are extremely rude and dont get anything correctly. We set an allotted time for a couch to be picked up from 4pm-6pm on a Wednesday and they showed up at 12pm. They showed up to pick up the couch when NO ONE was home, didnt call beforehand either.Husband spoke to someone that told him they were busy today and couldnt come back until Friday(a day we will be out of town). Okay, how is it our fault that you showed up without speaking to someone on the phone first knowing that someone might not be home when they scheduled a pick up for a 4pm-6pm time slot?You obviously are not that busy if you came 4 HOURS early.Correct your mistakes and pick up when you originally stated. Reading through reviews this obviously isnt the first time you guys have messed up in this way.I will not be recommending anyone to this store.

Nothing is EVER as advertised. “Free same day delivery” very false. My very first visit, which was on a Friday early afternoon, I wanted a couch and a 3 piece table set for my living room. I was asked how much I wanted to put down for a deposit - meaning there was no minimum or maximum amount put out there nor was it advertised anywhere. After throwing out a number, I was still given a number to put down for a deposit. There was no point in asking me in the first place. I was then asked if 11 am - 3 pm would work for me (don’t quote me) but they wouldn’t deliver the items until Monday. Very disappointed, I agreed anyway. Come Monday, they don’t show up until after 6 pm (one hour before they close). When they come up the pillows from the couch were being tossed onto the floor... I don’t comment though. And I know that what I purchased was a used couch, but the smell was very unpleasant. And the glass to the tables were not what I had picked out. But at least it still looked very nice. A week later they advertise “$15 pays through ‘xyz’” So I called at 11:45 am on a MONDAY to inquire about a specific one. The gentlemen on the phone said he’d call me back after calling another store to check. After an hour I received no call back so I popped up. They tell me that another store has it BUT they were no longer doing the special that had, what I was told, “just ended” at 12:55 pm on a MONDAY and that the promotion wouldn’t start back again until Thursday.. 🤔🤔 Also, if I had put down a deposit they wouldn’t deliver the items until Thursday as well because they were full. 😒 after waiting until Thursday I call to see if the “$10 pays through April 20th” was true but I was told that it depends on the item so it could actually be $20+ .... and that they wouldn’t deliver the items until MONDAY....... after making an executive decision, I have decided to scout out other locations. 🤣 this one on Denbigh Blvd is not worth the headache.- Ayriél E.W./ very annoyed customer.

ZERO stars! This place is horrible when it comes to customer service! James and his staff haven’t a clue what they are doing. I called wayyy in advance before my move. They gave me a run around said they’d orderd my item. 4-5 phone calls later come to find out nothing was ordered. No bed to sleep on in my new home. Called the next local RentACenter told them my horrible experience with Denbigh location and guess what? Bed ordered right away along with a wonderful king size mattress set to go with it! What Denbigh location failed to do in a month Newmarket RentACenter did within an hour of me calling!Don’t bother with these people! Go to Newmarket location and ask for Randy and Ty! They are phenomenal!

These people are scammers. I purchased a washer and dryer set but the day later chose to purchase somewhere else. They kept lying saying I would recieve my refund this day then this day. Come to find out one of the MANAGERS put in the system he gave me a refund (which he didn’t). Meanwhile that’s the same manager saying I should be expecting the money back on my card. I then spoke to the gm which he was a liar Also. I could tell he was trying to cover for the other manager. He gave me the run around for at least 3 weeks saying my refund had already been sent. I finally chose to call corporate and what do you know; I finally got my refund but in check form which means I will lose money cashing it because I don’t have a bank. Never again would I consider renting from this location.

Unfortunately you have to give a star or I would have given a 0. The couch we are renting for just a few weeks was stained, had burn holes in it and I had to clean the hell out of it because of how horribly it smelled like smoke. Also when they came to deliver they never covered it, it was raining and the delivery guy said our truck was a little wet so the couch got a little wet. A LITTLE WET? we had to keep the cushions off of it for 3 days because they were soaked. Then I schedule a pick up and was very clear when I said Monday the 15th. The rep said I can do that between 2 and 4. I said ok. So they show up today MONDAY the 8th. When I called to see why the rep was extremely rude and acted like it was my fault that he screwed up. We have had nothing but bad experiences with this place I am so glad we will never have to use them again. Rude employees and horrible service.
