My wife and I visited the store on a Sunday after church. My wife had her heart set on purchasing a sleep number mattress. We were greeted by Gina who was very nice. We told her what we were looking for and she did her sales pitch rundown of their products. She was a joy to work with, but as we tested out the beds, my wife was highly disappointed in the way the mattresses felt. Although we went through and tested the beds, Gina was honest and said that she couldnt meet our needs with what we were looking for. She didnt try to keep us there and push other products on us to make us feel uncomfortable. So this 5 star review was solely for saleswoman Gina, and the way she was professional and down to earth in trying to meet our needs. Great customer service!

My husband and I went to the Newport News location to learn more about the mattresses. Gina helped us step by step and was so pleasant and helpful. We decided to take the night to talk over our decision, and when we went back the next day Gina recognized us and answered all the questions we had. I could not recommend Gina enough if you are looking into a Sleep Number bed.

Gina was very helpful helping us to select our bed. Would have given 5 stars had we not been told we were going to get a couple hundred dollar store credit once we bought the bed, then found out that wasnt true.

Was greeted by Sales Consultant Michelle, who was very pleasant and has excellent knowledge of the Sleep Number beds. Thank you for the excellent customer service and am waiting for our bed to be delivered.

Its a gimmick and false advertisement!4> We got our bed and it was busted on day one and took around a month to get repaired. Thats right day one broken bed!5> the bed bulges from the air chamber getting filled - like sleeping on an egg.6> After only five days (after the bed finally was repaired) we slept in the guest room because of how bad the mattress was.* Dont worry Sleep Number still charged us $400 to take the mattress back!**I Will NEVER walk into another Sleep Number again and I will be posting and re-posting this on multiple social media platforms.

Gina helped my boyfriend and I purchase a sleep number bed last weekend. She was incredibly friendly when we arrived and never tried to push a sale on us. She also showed us the medium range beds instead of immediately taking us to the highest price tag beds, which we ended up asking to try. We even went next door to mattress firm and came back in about 7 minutes. Gina sold us before we even walked out the door. We’re excited to receive our bed and thankful for such a friendly sales person! She even shows us how to use the app and set everything up. She was patient enough to help me pick out a new pillow as well. Incredible experience from start to finish, I’d highly recommend shopping here.

The service we received during our recent purchase of our first Sleep Number mattress was excellent. We walked in the store and were graciously greeted by Melissa Cooper immediately. From that point forward she became our sales associate. She was very engaging, knowledgeable, attentive and made the experience very pleasant. We never felt pressured by her. We take delivery of our mattress on May 3. Im looking forward to getting a comfortable nights sleep for the first time in many years. I will write a second review on the actual sleep experience after we take delivery and have time to assess. Thank you Melissa for a great experience. Youre a true asset to the company.

Melissa was very patient and knowledgeable. I could not have had a better sales person. This is my second sleep number bed and Melissa took me through the new technology with the newer mattress so that I understand it all. I recommend Melissa to all as a great asset to the sleep number buying experience. She was an exemplary sales person!

Walked in to Sleep Number Store and were greeted by Gina who was pleasant and knowledgeable. After having us try different mattresses we were sold. She explained the difference and knew what would work best for us but let us make the decision with no pressure. We couldn’t be more pleased with Gina and our experience with the Newport News Store.

While I cant say weather a sleep number bed is worth it yet, as mine hasnt been delivered. I can say if you are thinking about getting one go here. See Melissa. She was great. She listened to what I had to say, and while she did try to up sell us on a few things she respected our choice when we said no and didnt get pushy or anything. She was so friendly, I have anxiety when going new places or talking to strangers and she put me at ease. It felt like talking to a friend, not a stranger. She got us what we wanted and got us set up for delivery and made it a pleasant experience.

Just over a month ago, my wife and I were in the market for a new bed. After noticing differences in sleeping preferences, we decided to give sleep number a try. From the minute we walked in, Matthew greeted us and provided details on the different types of sleep number mattresses. Three hours later, after trying five different types of mattresses and beds, we were confident in making the right decision. Matthew was by far the nicest salesman I have ever encountered in my entire life! I don’t say this lightly. He was professional, patient, courteous, and answered every question we asked. If he did not know the answer, he would find out for us very quickly. I have never met a salesperson/representative who truly practiced emotional intelligence. Throughout our buying experience, we never felt pressured to secure the deal, and that enabled us to take our time and make a decision. It was not a cheap purchase, but after a month of sleeping on the bed, I can honestly say we made the right choice. Thank you, Matthew.

Just left this store after purchasing a new King-size bed! Ed was fantastic! He was patient with us and answered all of your questions. Extremely friendly, informative, and helpful. The other members of the sales team were friendly as well. Overall, the atmosphere was very welcoming and helpful, which definitely factored into our decision to buy a mattress!

What I’ve learned? If you buy a sleep number bed, GO TO THIS STORE! I originally ordered the bed online. Big mistake. Long story short, the online rep really messed up my order. The folks at the Newport News store, Adam, Matt and Jessica, saved my decision to go with a sleep number bed. They are knowledgeable, polite, professional and not at all pushy. I just can’t recommend these folks enough. So to recap, if you want a sleep number bed, and live in Hampton Roads, go to THIS store and buy it through them.

Bed was supposed to be delivered between 8am and 12pm. It is almost 2 pm. Called the store twice and was transferred ot the delivery center once (Anthony). Everyone is supposed to call right back and thats not happening.

This review is not based on the store itself (they were great) but Sleep Number as a company and why we would advise not doing business with them. After going to the store over a week ago, we bought a sleep number with a flex adjustable base. A week later they come to deliver the bed and one of the air lines (the entire reason for a sleep number bed) is missing. We arent willing to take delivery now with the promise that in the future they will come fix it. Corporate calls us up and tells us it will be ANOTHER WEEK OR TWO before they can get a bed to us, but they can give us free sheets. Told them at this point if they arent able to upgrade the bed for free or deliver tomorrow we are cancelling and going with another company. They made no attempt just said OK I will cancel it and hung up.

Jessica was excellent. She is professional, extremely knowledgeable, courteous and efficient.I was not familiar with Sleep Numbers. She not only answered all my questions, but provide a wealth of additional information.After consulting with my wife, I purchase a bed the next day.

My husband and I walked in not intending to buy a mattress that day, but just to continue our research... After we laid on the sleep number bed, there was no way that we were going to be able to continue sleeping on our current mattress after realizing what we are missing. You spend one-third of your day sleeping, and our backs have been hurting, so we walked out of there getting the mattress and the adjustable bed frame. Cant wait until it arrives! We are super excited. Brittany was awesome and helped us look at our options.

Cortney was most gracious in helping us choose a sleep number bed. We have owned one for 15 years and it was time to upgrade. She took her time to show and explain several beds. She made the buying experience enjoyable.

The service is fantastic, on our 1st visit we met with one Britney who walked us through the new sleep number additions. We liked what we saw, but wanted to shop around to see what other alternatives are available. We returned 2 days later and met with Lailani who provided additional questions and additional quotes. We came back later that evening and spent another 2 hrs with a 3rd consultant who answered even more of our questions. We also looked a number of web sites with various reviews both good and bad. We finally came back a 3rd day and purchased a new sleep number bed (i8). The service was fantastic, low stress, no pushy sales talk. They left the purchase up to us. I will add more to this review once our bed is delivered and we have tried it for 100 nights.

The new store manager was very helpful. He spent a lot of time explaining the different types of sheets for the bed I bought 5 years ago. I highly recommend this Sleep Number store.

Horrible experience.My wife and I were trying to demo a bed, even brought a sheet to lay down on it. 6 times I asked the salesman for the remote to raise, lower, and try the heat & cool. Each time my request was ignored. And my wife and I had just spread out the sheet so we could lay on the bed and the same salesperson finally comes over to us and then says, Excuse me, Do you mind if this lady trys the bed first. I was livid. Not only does he ignore us, then he brings someone over that came in 15 minutes after us. We got up, my wife grabbed our sheet and we started to walk out. He finally says, Well, heres the remote! Which had been in his hand the whole time.The fact he was busy was no excuse to be rude and continually ignore us, especially since we had walked into the store to buy because we had done our homework and knew what we wanted.We have since found a better, less expensive bed.This man accknowledged me several times, but each time I asked for the remote he turned and waited on someone else, though it was our turn to be waited on and I even pointed him to a lady who has come in before us to be patient and wait our turn.No professionalism in this store at all !!! Sorry I cant give it 0 stars !!!

Leilani at the Newport News store was very helpful and explained all of the features of each different bed extremely well. She was never pushy but calmly explained how if we were going to get other features in the future it would actually cost us less if got them now. Numbers speak for themselves and she was smart enough to do the math and show it to us and let us make up our own mind without being pushy. That is the sign of a good salesperson and she also knows her products extremely well. I would recommend the product and Leilani to everyone.

Great experience/great product! John did everything possible to ensure all my questions were answered, making the process of purchasing a new Sleep Number bed a breeze.

They were short handed when my wife and I arrived but polite and friendly. The product feels great but quite expensive. I hope I am pleased when we get our bed. There is a delay in receiving our bed which I am not happy about.

Rip off return policy. Told we could bring back our very expensive pillows if we didnt like them and when we did return them, we were told no refunds, only exchanges - once. Forced to try other expensive pillows that are terribly uncomfortable and of course we are stuck with them. Nothing in writing on the receipt about the no refund policy/exchange policy and we were not informed of this policy when we bought the first 2 pillows. Never again. Very disappointed.
