Casey by far is the worst dealership!!!!! I brought a car from them, not even a month later the car start to have problems my check engine light came on then take it to get fix by Casey and they never fixed the problem …. I basically got sold a lemon …. They are bad for business

I live in Pa. and was in need of a seat belt extender for my 2001 Silverado. I called around to dealers in Pa and surrounding states. I was very fortunate to have my call to the Casey Auto Group answered by parts consultant Robert Morris. He said they had two extenders and would send me one since they are a safety item. No charge and free shipping. Casey Auto Group is a dealer I hope to deal with when I need a new vehicle.

I was traveling through the area on vacation and had a car accident. My car was towed to the collision center. All the rental places were closed. I walked in to the sales floor and Joshua Jones walked right up and asked if he could help. After explaining my situation he found me a rental at the airport and even drove me up to get it. What a great guy went so far out of his way to be so nice and helpful. Was never concerned about not making a sale. Truly a very nice young man. There is still hope in the world.

I cannot recommend this dealership under any circumstances. I drove three hours for a great deal, come in! After requesting a best price from several people on the phone and online from a staff and the sales manager. On arrival, No deal.I called an hour out to indicate when we would be there. The interior of the car did look nice, but the exterior was filthy and there was tar on the wheel wells. I dont think a clean car is too much to ask.There wasnt a woman to be see on staff in the dealership, which speaks for itself.They placed a hold on my credit card to look at the car and then charged me. Should I not have seen or called and disputed this, I would have paid $500 to test drive a car.A week later they reduced the car I was interested in exponentially.

This place have the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Rob was awesome. I needed a sub to replace my caravan i.lost in a accident. I was so treated with respect and he made sure I went home with not only i got what I wanted but also with a awesome price. Rob treated me like I truly family. The staff was awesome as well. But Rob Lord knows hes a God sent. Thanks Rob for being so Awesome!Prt2 So I havent gotten the car home yet needs inspection and a part to make the Air Conditioning to work. I was given a loaner car until my car is ready. Just call service department to find out statues and was told 2 different stories on the ETA. Shop area female rep was very repectable. But it seems Sean was annoyed of me questioning on a car I purchase. Just hope I did not make a mistake with this purchase. Its my first purchase with them and sales awesome service center that person sound annoyed if you ask about your car. Ill wait and see. Its been a week now

If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. We called and made an appt. to test drive a truck on Monday. Drive 20+ miles to be told we cant because it was just traded in and hadnt been inspected. We were very serious about purchasing even did all the financing paperwork. We also saw that the check engine light was on, but assured them we were still interested, but wanted to know what was wrong and if they could find out during the inspection. They assured us this would not be a problem.First they handed us paperwork with a price $5000 over the listed price on their website. We caught that, but I cant imagine how many people dont notice or question that. Second they tell us that we can test drive tomorrow once its was inspected the next day. Get several text messages and calls while we were there and the following day to ask how our experience was. Then Tuesday called to see if we could test drive and they say itll be ready Wednesday. See online that they increased the online price $1100. Speak to Customer Service Manager Nelson, he says truck wont be out of repair until end of the week, but hell call when its ready so we can test drive. The check engine light was on, so we did ask what was being repaired. We were told by 3 different people throughout the week that they would email us a report. Thursday, get a call from Tony to verify our 4pm Friday appt. to test drive the truck. Agree to come out, but again ask what was repaired and again promised I would get a parts order emailed to me.Today, Friday I still hadnt received the parts order so I call before we drive out for our 4pm appt. Nelson tells me that the truck is still in service and they cant give us the info until the repairs are finished. I tell him as Id told all the other people that called us all week long that we are still interested, but $35,000 is a big investment so we want to know what was repaired. He assures me that I will get that info as soon as its out of repair and I will personally get a call so we can test drive the truck.Not even 3 hours later we get a text that the truck sold on Thursday!! I immediately call Nelson again and he claims someone from Georgia bought it right out of service. Its very clear what happened and they put the truck back on the lot at a higher price. Its obvious that we were lied to and that their staff do not communicate with eachother. This is the worst car buying experience I have ever had. They just lost $35,000. Do not trust this dealerahip!

Ms. Denise Keaton (Service) and Ms. Wanda (Title shop) were awesome. We live in Norfolk and had to come back to your establishment on numerous occasions because logistics had not been set up correctly. Ms. Keaton, once she found out that we had come from Norfolk, eased our anxieties and made sure that the service that was supposed to be done, would get done that day. She even offered and gave us movie tickets so as not to go to Norfolk just to return that evening to pick up the vehicle. Ms. Wanda was awesome and corrected a wrong with the titling of the vehicle that did not get corrected as we thought it did. Please thank these ladies for their professionalism and patience. If me or anyone in my family purchases another vehicle from your establishment, it is because of these two ladies.

I have had about 5 Hondas and when my husband and I went onto Casey Volkswagens lot we were greeted by Clayton. Clayton is by far one of the easiest salesman I have ever dealt with. He listed to what I wanted and showed me what was on the lot. I wanted a 5 or 6 speed and he never asked me why. Claytons only concern was showing me what was on the lot and making sure I had what I wanted. He is by far one of your best salesman. Clayton made the process so easy and fun. I love my new car and hope to return to Casey Volkswagen (or wherever Clayton is) in the future. There arent enough stars on here, but Clayton deserves a 10!

We applied for financing online so we wouldnt have to wait around and drive an hour to get there and home. So customer service called me and we expressed to them the situation, they understood and then we were transferred to a sales manager. We told her what were looking for and she said she would take care of it. A WEEK LATER, customer service calls me. We went through the same song and dance, A MONTH LATER, customer service and some finance person calls me.....we were dumbfounded. We bought a car somewhere else. 45 minutes in and out. Dont do it unless you have ALOT of time to waste. Customer service isnt the issue, communication is.

I came to Casey knowing almost exactly what car I wanted. They were helpful in showing me the difference between trim levels, and very honest about pricing differences. The color and trim level I wanted were not in stock, and they went outside of their normal search radius to find my car. I never felt pressured to make decisions, but when I did, they were quick to deliver. Clayton and Steve were professional and transparent. If they did not know an answer off the top of their heads, they took the time to ask or research it themselves. I had a great experience at Casey Auto Subaru/Volkswagon Newport News!

Having recently totaled my new Ford, I purchased a 2014 Outback Subaru from the VW/Subaru location and had a pleasant, easy car-buying experience. Dwight Anderson was my salesperson and he did a fantastic job of getting me through the process quickly and always with a smile. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this dealership.The staff was courteous, helpful, not pushy, and offered me a good price (10% discount off the price on the website and slightly under book value). Ron Smith has done so much to help me he is someone I truly love working under. Of course his actions as well as the action of Roberto and Lane would have never been possible without Art Casey. DO NOT FINANCE your vehicle through Casey Auto Group, Inc. unless you desire to come in contact with the most unprofessional group of staff members at Auto Credit of VA which is owned by the Casey Auto Group in Newport News, VA. At the time of purchase the salesman was OK, the manager was better in the closing of the deal. The buying experience was OK. We financed our car through Caseys Auto Group own finance company named Auto Credit of VA, it has been a nightmare to have any telephone interaction with the staff.1) They will answer without identifying themselves and so they can be rude, unprofessional and down right nasty to when you are making your payment for the vehicle you finance through their company.2) You have to ask them to send you a receipt for your payment, they act as if you’re a Trouble Maker for asking for a receipt, maybe to charge you for additional fees at the end of your contract agreement.3) These Reps at Auto Credit of Virginia will put you on hold for long extended periods of times (5 to 15 minutes, so the customer trying to make the payment or ask for a receipt for proof of payment can get upset and disconnect the call.4) They use very, very poor English, and use language that is more appropriate for a Club Environment.5) They install and use a courtesy beeping system to alert you of your upcoming due date, Ex: Your payment is due on the 3rd of each month, but your vehicle will start ringing this alert as you enter and start the vehicle and when you exit from the vehicle beginning (48) hours or 2 days before your actual payment due date. My wife and I were told at the time of purchase this Courtesy Alert would only ring if you are late making your payment, this is not the truth from our experience. The staff at Auto Credit of Virginia will also use these tactics if you report them to upper management, which my wife and I did.6) DO NOT FINANCE YOUR VEHICLE WITH CASEY, FIND YOUR OWN FINANCE COMPANY (Credit Union, Bank) unless you desire to be harass, disrespected after you purchase and finance a vehicle through the Casey Auto Group In-House financing company Auto Credit of Virginia. 7) We have made every payment as agreed and are not in default, but our vehicle beeps anyway. I wish I had purchased the car and got it finance through another company. Casey is OK for buying vehicle through their dealerships, but do not finance your vehicle through their In-House financing because they are just plain NASTY AND RUDE TO CUSTOMERS! We are searching to find another financial institution to refinance our remaining balance owed on our vehicle.

I went to Casey after being shut down numerous times over my credit score. Anthony Malta worked with me and gave me many options to get financed for the car I wanted. I drove off the lot with the car I wanted and still had a good portion of the cash I thought I was going to need for my down payment. I initially communicated with Trey by phone, and test drove with Felix when I came in. Both were great, kind, and wonderful about not coercing me into a sale. Felix wanted me to be sure about my decision to purchase and I didnt feel like I was being pushed to just buy any vehicle. I needed to make a quick decision for my new vehicle choice sooner than anticipated (old vehicle sadly cant keep up with my commute anymore) and returned to Casey Subaru towards the end of the day last night. Kashon, Dana, and Paul were all kind, friendly, and efficient without being pushy to get out after a long day at the office :) Im very satisfied with my purchase and while I am based in Virginia Beach and there are other Subaru dealers closer to where I live, I specifically returned to Casey because of my first experience with Felix and Trey. I was bummed that they were off the day that my old car decided to enter retirement, as they did a lot of initial leg work with me, however Im thrilled with all aspects of service I received and am extremely happy and satisfied with my purchase. Came in from Richmond to make a deal for a vehicle. After a 2hr run around and a ton of back and forth between salesman and manager where the price never changed and only the extension of a loan and or more money down were offered. I made a final offer which was $761 MORE than the original asking price of the vehicle and i was told i needed to add more money. Thought i was at a car “dealership” not carmax where the price doesnt budge a bit. If your looking for a deal dont visit this car lot unless you are ok with extending the months on your loan to above 72 or coming out of pocket more so they can get their price.

My advice to anyone considering buying a car from Casey Auto is to re-review your sales agreement copy before you drive off the lot. Its not good enough to rely on the document they place in front of you at the time of signing. If the finance person walks away and comes back with your copies in an envelope check those copies right then and there. Long story short our negotiated price out the door ended up being $600 more than it should have been according to the sales document. I confronted the sales manager Travis Wynn who assured me there was a system glitch that charged a double processing fee and I would have a refund in a few days. Its been over a week and no refund as of yet. Im sure I wont see it but even if I do I feel others should be warned. This is the second vehicle I purchased through Casey and was in the market for a third for my son however I now have trust issues. I hope that this is an isolated incident but nevertheless it happened and my wish is that it doesnt happen to anyone else. So much for being a certified dealer with USAA.

The customer service rep was great with staying in contact and setting up appointment. When we arrived we were supposed to meet with a manager Malcolm. He was unavailable and we were passed over to another salesperson.He didn’t follow through with was asked, he kept trying to push his own agenda and was not knowledgeable of the options available. After spending over 45+min drive there and an hour of him spinning wheels we got up and walked away from this. So in total of 3hrs of wasted time. (Drive there, back and time in dealership)I would return but would never work with this person again

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!!! The Mangement at this dealership is absolutely horrible. They are great when they are trying to sale you a car but once the deal is done BEWARE!!!!! We left the dealership with them telling us the car was financed through one company only to find out 27 days later that the car was actually financed through another company and no one at the Casey dealership calls or let us know that the car actually was financed through GMC. We later found out the problem was we put down too much money on the car and no bank will finance it because they would not be making enough money off of us. So GMC had to finance the car because we actually had good credit and actually had put down too much money. They will tell you anything to sale you a vehicle. They tell customers that oil changes and state inspections are free. Tire rotation are free but they are not. We informed the dealership that we often work out of state. They said “ no problem you can get your oil changes at any Chevy dealership in the U.S.A all you have to do is take the vehicle in and they can lookup your vehicle vin number and see that your oil changes are free under your purchase agreement” I NOW CALL BULL**** that is untrue. I do not mind paying for an oil change but don’t lye in my face just because you want to make your monthly sales quoter. If you want to purchase a Chevy vehicle go to Hampton Chevy on Mercury Blvd. See we are a Chevy family we have (3 ) Chevy vehicles. One good thins is we are now shopping for a new vehicle and know we will “DEFINITELY NOT BUY FROM CASEY NEWPORT NEWS “ THANK YOU 🙏🏽 CASEY I will be sure to do my job as a customer and consumer to let all of my family, friends, associates and coworkers know to not purchase anything from Casey and stay away from your dealership.

I just walked my mom through purchasing her very first new car at Casey Subaru. I was not looking forward to the experience, having purchased many vehicles over the last 30 years and never enjoying the process. Playing mind games with car salesmen is good sport when you are twenty or maybe even thirty something, but it is just a pain in the rear when you get older. Wasting large swaths of time waiting for the salesman to pretend he is working on a deal for you? No thanks! Thank goodness we were assigned Clayton Moats as our salesman at Casey Subaru.We started out on the AARP auto buying program site, typed in what we were looking for and what options we wanted, and then we submitted a request for dealers to contact us with their quotes. We very quickly received an email from Casey Subaru thanking us for considering them and assigning Clayton to us as our contact person. Clayton contacted me by email and then by phone to make an appointment for us to go to the dealership to meet with him for the purchase. I explained to Clayton that my mom is memory challenged when under stress, is a complete technophobe, gets intimidated by new things easily, and might even decide she wanted a different vehicle once she saw all the new things that she would have to get used to in the new car. Clayton assured me that he was very comfortable dealing with people with my moms challenges, and that he had all the time we needed to explain everything to her and test drive other vehicles, if necessary.Since Clayton had her selected vehicle and the required paperwork prepped and waiting for her when we arrived, we might have been able to complete the process and transaction in about an hour. However, my mom needed several test drives of the selected car, several test drives of a different car, two separate indoctrination sessions to part of the tech used in her finally decided upon Subaru Legacy, and a wait for insurance documentation that had not been completed as promised by our insurance agent (grrr State Farm). Clayton never seemed to mind. His attitude was awesome, he was always smiling and upbeat, and he went out of his way to explain things clearly and as many times as needed to my mom. His manners were impeccable, something that you rarely find in someone of any age these days.I know car sales is a business and that these gentlemen and ladies are well trained in their jobs of selling, but all the training in the world will not provide a salesperson with the kinds of people skills that only come naturally and prevent interactions from seeming forced and fake. I hate rah, rah sales people who talk too loudly, address you as “my dear” when you are well past 40 years of age, and who try to avoid answering questions directly as if I am so stupid I can be mentally steered wherever they want me to go. With Clayton Moats, that dreaded type of experience will never occur. He is polite, knowledgeable, low-key but cheerful and sincere in his desire to help. It would be wise for Casey Subaru to do whatever is necessary to keep him around as their employee and not the competition’s. I would definitely buy a vehicle from him again.A shout-out must also go to Paul Clark at the dealership for being the one to provide an excellent price and assigning Clayton to us as our salesman.

Amir was a great sales representative, he helped us and made us feel appreciated. He explained everything to us and made sure we understood everything. Travis Wynn, the manager, completely ruined the experience for us. He was condescending, pushy and rude. He greeted us with hostility and was not willing to offer any help at all with the cosmetic defects of the car we were viewing. I would not recommend this Casey at all because of him. Avoid if possible.

A young enlisted woman I met went to VW store to buy a car, salesman named Anthony helped her pick out a car. She had her trade in looked at, Anthony told her the dealership would only give her $1500 for her 07 Sentra, she felt it was worth more. Anthony then suggested she take the trade out of the deal and he would personally give her $2000. She went with the $2000 and took the deal presented by Anthony. A few days later the car was listed on CL for $3900, a day later it was sold. First the dealership tried to rip her off then the salesman ripped her off. Real nice people to do business with

Clayton (Casey Volkswagon) was an amazing and phenomenal sales person. My husband and I enjoyed every bit of the car process. Clayton made the process so easy and fun, we were in at noon and left at 3pm. We love the car we bought and hope to return to Casey VW in the near future, hopefully Clayton will be there. I havent bought a new car since 1987, and walked into the dealership honestly just to get a price point to compare to Carmax. Was assigned to Clayton Moats and a week later, I walk out with a branch new Subaru Outback deal. Clayton was likely listening well as this extreme cynic explained as politely as I could that I really didnt care whether I got a new car at all, I probably wasnt, and to please not ask me what payment could I afford. I was a pain in the neck and while I probably caused him to have lots of headaches along the way with all my research - he ended up finding me a deal that I thought was very good. His approach with me was very laid back, not pushy at all, always willing to take my deal for consideration. He followed up at appropriate times, and while I could have given my business to another dealer, I made sure to contact Clayton with the best deal I had found with little liklihood he could match it - but he was willing to try. And Casey with Clayton made it work! So - looking forward to finalizing this in May. Thank you Clayton!

I recently bought a 2016 Passat for my wife as a surprise. When I arrived at the dealership I was greeted by a young lady who asked if I needed help and immediately pointed me in the direction I needed to go. She then introduced me to my sales rep Trey leggit with in a matter of 3 mins of arriving to the dealership. Trey was outstanding, he was very Thorough and showed me exactly what I wanted to see. He was very professional and helpful even going the extra mile to help me quickly find a bow for the car for my wife and helping collaborate with my story when she called. We tested drive the car and the rest was history. From the time I arrived at the dealership and spoke with Trey I was in and out with the new car in less than 1hr and on my way back home. This was truly the best and by FAR the easiest purchase of a vehicle that I have ever had and would recommend this dealership and Trey any day!

This Casey dealership has some amazing sales reps. I was not able to make my initial appointment, but when I reached out to my salesperson Kashon, he was very understanding, re-scheduled my appointment and got me into my new vehicle the next day. My 2016 Passat is impressively better than my old Kia. I really love all the features and the comfortable seating. It was well worth the wait to upgrade. I definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new vehicle.

Ve stars for their friendly service. We were made welcome and didnt feel lost or confused during any part of the process as everything was explained thoroughly. Additionally, someone was with us during each part, which helped us figure out where to go and what to do. Ive owned a number of Toyotas over the years and loved every one... but Id buy a Yugo before Id buy a car from Casey Toyota. Their service department is duplicitous and, as far as I can tell, incompetent. When a Check Engine light appeared on my Corolla, I brought my car in to have it diagnosed. I was told that thered be a $125 diagnostic fee. (To be fair, that fee would be applied against the cost of any required repair.) Heres the scam, though: A few hours after I dropped the car off, I received a call from the service guy informing me that they werent able to get to the cause of the problem and Id have to authorize ANOTHER $125 fee for them to continue. If I wasnt willing to do that, my original $125 would basically be wasted.I wont bore you with the details of how it turned out (I wound up eating the $250 rather than trusting them with a major repair) but I left the process feeling thoroughly abused and ripped off. It was only afterwards that I discovered a Yelp review that described their service department as ethically challenged. I wish Id seen it beforehand!If you must use this company for repair, make sure you thoroughly understand the terms and conditions under which theyll be charging you. Dont assume that youre dealing with a company thats acting in good faith.

We have all heard/experienced the horrors of what working with some dealers can be. After putting your information out all over the place and getting phone call on top of phone call. Then theres the deal. Am I getting a good price? Do I believe what the dealer says about my trade in? Is it too good to be true? All in all the Car Buying Process can be difficult and time consuming. During the past month I have been to dealerships all around Hampton Roads and Northern VA and most of my experiences were exactly what you would have expected.But that is where Casey VW was different. They made the whole process simple and easy from trading in a 2010 Civic to driving my new GTI off the lot. They were transparent and never tried to hide anything in the numbers. Hard to believe but even the Business Office (extended warranties, financing, etc) was down to earth and straightforward.Trey Leggett was my main salesperson and he was excellent from beginning to end. He was patient and understanding even when I decided not to purchase the first time I walked in (would have saved myself some trouble if I had, haha). He reached out at perfect intervals and was never overbearing. He made it a great experience from the very first day I walked into the dealership to the day I drove off the lot.If youre in the market for a new car, save yourself the time and effort, go straight to these guys.

Terrible service. Took my car in for recall repairs. Was given an estimate that I ask about repeatedly and they took the whole damn day. Not only that but they will not update you or return calls and nobody knows anything when you ask them for information. The worst place ever!

I recently went to Casey VW & was instantly greeted with a smile from one of their salesman (Raheem Talley). He helped me and my mom find the vehicle that we were looking at online and made the process as easy and stress free as possible. We got a great interest by financing with Volkswagen rather than our on financial institution. Raheem showed us where we would get our new VW serviced as well as introducing us to one of his managers whos name is Travis Wynn. Travis was very pleasant and made us feel really comfortable. I really appreciate everything you guys have done for us & I will recommend this dealer to anyone I know looking to purchase a new vehicle.

I would not recommend buying a car from Casey auto. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and Im very happy with my new Subaru, however the overall car buying process was very difficult as compared to other dealerships Ive experienced. Initially, the salesperson seemed offended that I negotiated at all, as I was asking for the KBB value of purchase price for the vehicle and trade-in value for my vehicle. They offered over $500 more than the KBB purchase price for the vehicle and the salesperson wouldnt tell me exactly what my trade-in was valued at, although said it was just enough to cover the amount I owed, and rather tried to negotiate only on monthly payment. When we finally reached a monthly payment number that was acceptable, while reviewing the paperwork I realized that the salesperson had blatantly lied to me about my trade-in value and that it had been valued at $1300 less than my amount owed which they wanted to apply to this purchase. At this point I began negotiating with the general manager directly, and he admitted it was their mistake and they gave me another $1300 toward my trade-in which was still $2000 below KBB value. Throughout this process they kept asking for good reviews without actually making an attempt to earn a good review. Things began sailing smoothly again until I was signing the paperwork and the finance guy tried to force us into and over-priced maintenance warranty and gap protection. His argument for the warranty was that the ECU and TCU were of shoddy quality and were expensive to replace. I couldnt believe that these people would talk bad about their product just to sell something. On trying to sell me on gap protection, the finance guy said that I could call and cancel the protection when my amount owed was less than the KBB value. I told him that his dealership obviously doesnt care about book value based on what happened earlier. Finally, during the walkaround to take delivery of the vehicle, I asked the salesperson to remove the dealer sticker and they left behind a sticky residue on the car and made no attempt to clean it.Overall, I feel that I got the car with a better deal than the one that they wanted to give me and Im very happy with the vehicle itself. However, the negotiating and buying process was incredibly deceitful and difficult and it showed that these people would say anything to make a sale, including bad-mouthing their own product. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking for a fair, honest and straightforward car buying experience.
