I love Costco Wholesale I have been going there all my life and I describe it as a warehouse that people can walk into and buy stuff from in bulk. It has a place they will change and you can buy tires from. Also a tech center, pharmacy, kitchen for meat where you can watch chicken cook both satisfying and I forgot. A big freezer zone and has samples through out the store.

Quick unloading at loading dock. Docks are maybe not for beginning drivers. But not difficult, you just have to back around cars to get in there. Not a big deal.

Great place to get your steps in. Glad they are able to offer samples again, but I wonder how long that might last. Prices are good, as long as they have what you need in stock. Searching for desired items is difficult, but employees are happy to help. Just sometimes hard to find. I always check the prices, sometimes Walmart is cheaper!

Great for buying in bulk, but employees could be a little nicer specifically in the self checkout, and the customer service area in front of the registers.

Wow they carry the famous Taiwanese Boba 🧋 ice cream bar! This is usually sold for $1.70 ~ $2.00 per bar at Asian markets but only $1.05 per bar at Costco. If you like Boba Milk Tea 🧋 with a Brown Sugar (like molasses) taste, you’ll enjoy this!

Fantastic deals on bulk teams and clothing. They have nice hoodies and flannels for men... pjs and coats ect. Definitely worth the membership!

This Costco location is amazing. When I do go in person, everything is easy to find. But the best part of having a Costco membership is being able to order online and through Instacart!

To the lady that works in the department that The handles the cold prepared food A quick Direction like cook it for one hour at 400° would’ve been nicer than you saying instructions on the label The only reason I asked was because I couldn’t read that small print I was trying to make a decision if I should have that tonight A little kindness can go along ways

Costco is great on its own and this one is no exception. Staff was helpful and courteous, lines moved quickly, plenty of stock available.Location for us is a bit of a bummer. This is an extremely populated and busy area. Parking is limited, crowds are expansive and traffic is ridiculous. We save our visits for getting large quantities of everything at once so as to not make the trip too often.Would still recommend membership as the population and busyness in the area may not be a big deal for other people.

Seriously, much of my wardrobe has come from Costco over the years, and weve kept Don Pablos coffee flowing forever thanks to Costco! The best part though is that the people who work here clearly care about their store and their customers... Shoot: even the people who shop here are better (present company excluded of course lol)!

Besides having everything I went for except lavender dryer sheets, it was a pretty good shopping experience overall. The staff is nice and one of the ladies that was organizing the clothing was REALLY helpful. There was an item that wasnt priced and she memorized the upc # and went and looked it up for me! The only thing I dont get is why they chose a location with such a small parking lot. But still, all in all, it was a good shopping experience besides the couple of people who never learned manners and didnt seem to realize they shouldnt be crawling over you to get something in a pandemic.

Good service like most Costco stores. Ordered pizza and I had to wait an awful long time for it. Somehow people that ordered pizza while shopping had priority over people already there to pick up. I had to wait for about 20 minutes for mine.

The parking lot is crazy!!! I highly recommend planning your trip when you come. You can find just about anything youre looking for. The food variety is awesome. They are slightly more expensive than Sams Club which I also have a membership to. I also recommend a membership to both places because what you cant find in one, youll find in the other. Costco is definitely more diet friendly as they have more options for people with a gluten sensitivity or if youre on the Keto diet. There is also a gas station which you can get at a discounted price.

They have all things needed for home, body, car, kids, food and entertainment ect.

They have the best hot dogs in town. Due to COVID you can no longer sit down and eat inside, but it is still worth juggling your purchases and your hot dogs out to your car, while you sit and enjoy them. We always find new things to try in the store. Their frozen food selection combined with a toaster oven style air fryer results in some exciting tasty dishes at a fraction of the cost of dining out.

Love this place. My 4 stars might be a bit picky but I miss my jellybeans. I hope you will start carrying them again.

I love Costco and probable a member since beginning, Unfortunately the Newport News 247 and Richmond Henrico?, Cashiers and assistances has been rude, impatient. Imponent like bulling. Well less cashiers. Helpers are like do not want to be there, trough things instead of place it. Bad attitude like if we where their enemies...? What is going on? we pay for their job by purchasing. Was never like that. The reason I give the 2 starts if for call for attention on this matter. The rest 5 Starts.

Reminded me of BJs. However, I was able to get a rather beautiful, large, turquoise, Loft Resort Towel. Only wish Id picked up two. I became distracted by the yellow and white towel wanting an all yellow that I wasnt thinking to get another turquoise. Im in Virginia Beach and was passing through.

Was pretty busy at this location. Always great deals. I will say though that Id like to see poppy seed muffins back compared to the others that were available. Also, I found different kinds of zippfizz and thats great.

This is the better of the two Costco locations in Hampton Roads.This store has more variety and better selection than the Norfolk store. This NN location has much wider aisles and is easier to navigate.The Norfolk club is heavily crowded and the furniture and clothing sections are so narrow that two carts cannot pass each other.

I have used Costco Optical, in the past and was typically impressed with my experience. I did have to return one pair a couple years ago, because the lab cut the lenses too small, causing them to pop from the frame, but that was corrected immediately.David and Elizabeth were always a pleasure to work with and I was excited to get some new specs with my new prescription, so I recently placed my order and waited for my new glasses to arrive.My three pairs of glasses arrived and I went to pick them up! I waited patiently, since other employees were waiting on customers. I waited and waited with my husband, and then finally one of the employees called over to a lady, Debi, who was standing behind us the whole time. She was fully engaged in a conversation with the hearing aid associate, just gossiping and having a good time, while customers were in need of her assistance. They asked her if she could come over and help and you could tell she was upset that she was having to break away from her discussion. She came over and I advised her that I was there to pick up my glasses. She begrudgingly went to go to retrieve them.As I opened the first pair, a pair of sunglasses, I noticed that the film tint wasnt exactly perfect on the bottom, where they grinded the lens. But, I was willing to accept it, as it was a cheap price for which I paid. But, then I noticed that it did not have the type of lenses I had paid for. I asked Debi about this and she advised that the lab would not send me something wrong. I told her that the glasses looked incorrect and as I tried to explain, she became very upset. I then looked at my other ordered glasses, only to find that they too had issues. The bevel was misplaced, thus creating a giant, white visible ring around each lens, where it mounts. This can easily be avoided when looking at a prescription strength and moving the bevel accordingly, to prevent this. This request was even put on my receipts/prescription sent to the lab.Debi now became upset, explaining that this is how glasses are supposed to look; all glasses come from the lab as such and they dont send anything that is wrong- inferring that the lab does not make mistakes.Debi eventually went to grab the manager on duty that day, she too stood by the inferior products provided and eventually gave me a refund.I didnt know if I should laugh or cry. This was so different compared to what I had experienced before!This level of customer service, not only from the lab, but also at the store is so disheartening. I have been wearing glasses for decades and obviously, mistakes do happen, regardless of the world Debi has created in her mind. You send the glasses back, they are corrected and you move on. You shouldnt have to be disrespected and talked down to by staff. They should be there to take responsibility and give you what you pay for. Some meek customers would have been bullied into taking those horrible glasses and would have lost hundreds of dollars. This isnt what I expected from this company….sad.

The site for health care workers to sign up at a discounted rate didnt work correctly and we ended up paying pull price. You cant use Mastercard bank cards as credit there and they dont have scan and go like Sams Club offers. The items were good in store though.

I rolled in with a flat tire and it was nearly closing time. Mike and Mike and then other guy were friendly and efficient and got me on my way.

Membership is well worth the cost. You will find great bulk deals which will save you tons of money. Would highly recommend.

1st mistake- dont go in there hungry. Walk out with more than you went there for because they have alot of variety.Prices looked better from a year ago too.In self checkout, they need a handheld scanner bc you have to lift everything out again.

Costco Newport News is always very busy and the checkout lines are patience getters. BUT, they always have what Im looking for. Id give them 5 stars if they would occupy all checkout lines and help speed the process.

Store as usual, neat and clean. Temperature in the store was very warm and uncomfortable especially wearing a mask. Not liking the self checkouts. Fewer cashier lines. Still no Lysol spray.

Its just like you would expect from a Costco. Its just a zoo on the weekends so try and go during the week, when its... well its still a zoo but less so. They need to open another one somewhere. Lastly if you see something you like you better buy it right then and there because it wont be there when you go back.

Hello, my family and I have been respectful customers of this Costco for years, and we usually do not encounter any problems. However today, I was taken aback with the rudeness of a cashier named Eli. He outspokenly expressed his annoyance at me because of HIS mistake of checking my products out before the ones of an elderly handicapped woman behind him. It was an honest mistake, but I cannot understand why he vented his frustration of his own mistake at the customer. I recognize that I am one of the many customers who have experienced this. Let them represent themselves.

I mean who doesnt love Costco? They have everything. An amazing return policy and 1.50 hot dog and drink...

The place can get pretty busy, especially on the weekend. I went on a random Friday morning and arrived prior to opening. There was a line waiting outside that went past the tire center. The line was formed about 20 minutes before it opened. You would had thought this was Black Friday. Fortunately, the doors opened and everyone moved swiftly into the store. Once inside, the place didn’t feel like Black Friday.

There is so much to love about Costco. I splurged and bought the Alaskan King Crab legs and it was AMAZING! A definite treat and a great deal when bought in the 10lbs box.

Tons of options, well-lit and clean, pricing is good, has some things you cant find anywhere else, enjoy it

Always great prices. The membership definitely pays for itself at the gas pumps alone. Normally about $0.20 per gallon cheaper. Friendly workers and new self checkouts which speed up the checkout process. Definitely recommend going on a weekday, if possible.

Ordered a dishwasher from COSTCO online on July 17. Spent more than 7 hours on the phone trying to get the order straight. It was delivered today, September 25. I ordered from COSTCO because I trusted the company and thought it would be the safest and most efficient way of replacing my broken dishwasher. I could not have been more wrong. I also picked COSTCO because they offered purchase, delivery, installation and removal of the old appliance as one package. That too is false. The delivery people will not take the old appliance away. The installation people are a completely different company. If I wanted to complete the installation through COSTCO, I was informed this morning, I would have to wait a month....with the broken dishwasher in place and the new dishwasher in the middle of my kitchen after waiting over 2 months just to have the product delivered. That is 3 months without the convenience of a dishwasher that has been paid for.COSTCO should not offer online purchase. They are making enemies of good customers.

Quick check out in self service line. Cashier there to scan the big items in my cart. Had a question at customer service. Prompt and friendly help at the desk.

Got gas. 10 cents cheaper than other locations.

Busy, busy, busy. Since moving farther away, it is a fun outing to go. Not impressed with self service check out. A couple stations for customers with a few items would work, but they designated about half of the lines. Too many IMHO.

A quality club with great merchandise selections.

I shopped here the other day and its been a while, thanks Covid. I got some killer 4 person fish set in blue that is awesome, so glad I picked it up. Also I got lamb that I soaked in some red wine I picked up for like 6 bucks, it turned out great. They did not have aa couple things I was looking for but overall I always enjoy this place. Got a hotdog and drink for a buck fifty. I will be back soon. I spent 270 so it might be a minute.

They work really hard to keep up with standards. I have a love hate of the new checkout system..... but I think it makes it faster.... not sure. I always love looking through the books, seasonal, toys and gifts. I get bummed when I cant find my usual foods. But I love the people that work there, from the greeters, to the workers, to the cashiers to the receipt checkers.
