I wished wed have gotten our first car here, it was one of the best experiences Ive had buying a car, Simon was awesome, no pushy salesmen trying to put us in a car just to put money in their pocket, we walked around, picked a few we liked and told Simon, he was upfront and honest about everything, told us we wouldnt want one of the ones we picked out for a mechanical issue. After buying our car, Simon set up an inspection date and did a oil change and fixed 1 or 2 minor things, (which they didnt have to do, unlike some people, I understand what AS IS means) we love our car well definitely be back again real soon. Thanks Constantine and Simon for being upfront and honest with us

Made a deal for 2 vehicles, he sold one of them out from under us. We picked out another 2nd vehicle, deal was set. Get a phone call the next day that he will not sell us 2 vehicles, even though we have bought about 8 from him between us and family. Guess he dont like our business any more. Good thing because he will not get any more business from us. To many car lots out there

Do not buy a car from these RIP offs. I paid and bought two cars from them. 1 honda accord 07 for $ 5000 bought a ford free style for 6000 both cars had problems. The accord ac didnt work they said they word take off $300 they didnt. Two months after buying the car the clute went out been sitting in the garage for 8 months. They said if I paid to get the work done they would again take off $300. Again they didnt. Go ahead buy all you want, but like me you will be writing a bad review

I have been coming here off and on for a few years now. They are very nice, open and honost about their vehicles. He will disclose any issues. I bought a Jetta in 2017 and it is still going strong two years later.

Shady to say the least. I bought a vehicle from them in March and given a temporary tag. The license plate itself never came in the mail. I called back to ask about the plate to have an associate tell me he was unsure about the situation then suddenly try and say he was the one who sent it. Then he urged me that it would be better if I just went and bought another license plate myself.The cars oil plug had been so heavily torqued that it stripped during the first oil change and had to be tapped and rethreaded. No lights were on when the vehicle was purchased, yet both the engine and airbag lights came on within a week of owning. The vehicle burns at least 2 quarts of oil between changes.Today the battery has died with a dead cell. I called to ask about a replacement since the battery was supposedly new when purchased. The same shady associate answered to tell me there was nothing they could do.I do not recommend Tates Creek Autos to anyone.

I bought a 2003 Subaru Forester from this place. The ABS light was on but after test driving for nearly an hour I had felt no problems with the brakes or any part of the car aside from the sun roof that would not open (not too big of a deal, right?). I asked the head manager about the ABS light and he assured me that the light was on because they had replaced the rear bearings. He offered to turn the light off for me at a later date. Bought the car. Turns out that the ABS sensor was completely inoperable. Not only that, my mechanic informed me tht the ABS toner ring was snapped in half. This couldn’t have been something I did because I had not removed the wheel since I bought it so the broken half of the ring had nowhere to fall out. When I brought this up to the manger he did not even know what a toner ring is. Are you even qualified to be doing work on vehicles?? He then said that it was “my problem” and refused to reimburse me the $714 that I’m losing repairing the ABS system after he guaranteed that there were no problems with it. My engine fan and radiator also need replacement which we’re giving me no problems when I first purchased the car and which he never mentioned. This was a terrible interaction and I regret buying from this place. If you buy look here BE SURE to have your mechanic take a look at the vehicle and to test drive for at least FOUR hours.

Getting into the car was a great experience now with that being said I give this place a 1 star review probably should be half a star honestly! So we pay $400 a month and its always paid whether it be a week late or not we pay the payment and late fees Constantine always gets his money but this last week when we were late because of personal stuff knowing full and well that we would pay next week he harassed and bullied my fiancée into giving him money putting our bank account in the red. Hows is harassing someone and bullying them the way to do business especially when we have never not paid?

The best vehicle purchase experience Ive ever had. The most laid back, honest and reliable car folks. I got a hell of a truck for a hell of a deal.

I had a great salesperson so I thought. He bragged about the warranty and crowned Constatine. They prep the vehicle by is an electronic device to turn off any sensor warnings, which last for about three days. They have signs up stating that theres a 30 day warranty limited. The warranty was explained to me that they would Cover materials and labor for existing conditions for the first 30 days. After I explain to them the issues that I had they told me a cost me $500 to get them fixed and I could have it done anytime during the payment process They fired the sales person a couple of weeks before I was ready to have the work done so the owner took a list of all the things that needed to be done. The day before the work was supposed to be done . They have been scheduled to weeks in a Advance. I was told it would take three days to do the repairs instead of that one day with the mechanics working on it that had been promised. The work that needs to be done on the vehicle is more expensive than the value of the vehicle. I had a vehicle at 85% paid off and was late two weeks and they call the place it was going to repo it. They do not keep their word. They do not keep theres employees. They do take your money. Very disappointed. Would not recommend anyone.

Yes my girlfriend call up there and ask a few questions and they never a answer the phone nice. And second they was putting cars for 750 down and some trucks for 650 down and also tellin my girlfriend that they put their son car on the lot to bring costumer in and also telling her that they have a car for 750 but bad alternator and not going to change it.

The owner, Constantine, is a crook, he sold a 2007 Mini Cooper to me. The engine, oil and tire lamp were on from the beginning. I took it to Don Jacobs right after I bought it. They ran a diagnostic test and due to all the issues that came up, they recommended to drive to the Mini dealership in Louisville which I did . They gave a loaner car to me and after running more diagnostic tests, they wrote up a estimate and determined that the car needs a new engine among other things. I took the car back to Tate’s Creek Motors after driving it for only one week and Constantine, the owner, refused to give the money I paid for it back to me. He insulted me and tried to blame me for the problems the car has. I will take him to Small Claims Court and report him to the Better Business Bureau.Stay away from this business he will rip you off and sell a non functioning car to you!

Put 1000 dollars down on a car and two weeks later spent 700 dollars to fix it. The owner or whatever took some of my second payment off but after I payed it they called and told me I owed them the full payment. Not too much communication.

He sells lemons and is a real p.o.s bought a 98 eclipse n the car broke down. We tried to fix it n have him take the car back he rufused after taking 1250$ even tried to give him a call consolidate the situation and do a half and half split on a towing fee to get it back up to Kentucky even though I shouldnt be paying 400. We called him again confronting him on his bunk cars (which he admits to selling) n tried to recant his statement.. .weve been trying to get ahold of this guy for a week and a half... Poor business bad company.. Dont fall for it its a scam. They didnt even check to see if we had a ac belt or anything these guys are trash.not to mention WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR THE PLATES TO THE CAR IN THE MAIL!

Car salesman was kind but ended up selling me a very unreliable beaten on Subaru as my first car. Had problems from the start such as broken heater core, broken MAF, and Headlight and taillight problems. Eventually though the head gasket blew and now I remain looking for a car.

Great place to buy used trucks and cars. Sometimes he gets really cool sporty stuff with manual trans. turbocharged stuff, rare models like an SE-R SPEC V Sentra, 2.7 biturbo Audi A6...whatever he can find at the auction. Always has plenty of Trucks and SUVs, family haulers. Always a good selection, little something for everyone. Sometimes low miles, sometimes 249k miles, but usually decent vehicles. Ive bought 6 cars from there and they never did me wrong. 02 Ranger, 96 Cavalier, SVT Contour, SE Sport Contour, 03 Explorer, one owner 90 Lincoln Town Car with 103k cream puff. Overall its a great used car lot where you wont get your throat cut or head busted. Just dont be late 3 months on your payment, youll get repod. Obviously if youre a responsible adult that goes without saying....
