I bought a contractor remodeled home year ago. The contractor installed EF cabinets throughout the house - bathrooms and kitchens. After one year, the finish is cracking on certain cabinets. (Not tough enough for a cooks kitchen, for sure.) Now, one of the drawers came off the rail and we have tried to fix it ourselves, to no avail. The drawer mechanism is very strange. Ive tried to find installation instructions, but none available. I will call the company and I hope they will be able to help, but not feeling optimistic. This company only gives a one year warranty and they state that unless you purchased them directly they wont help you. Of course, in my case, the contractor purchased them. Im not comfortable looping him back in because we were displeased overall at the companys workmanship. I think Im stuck! Im sure the EF folks are nice people, and I like that they are manufactured in the USA, but the workmanship and design of these cabinets is dubious. The one year warranty kind of says it all, yes? I had an IKEA kitchen in the past (10 years old and they still stood by their warranty). Better quality and at least those have installation instructions if something breaks. Buyer beware.
We built our house last year, and chose East Front Cabinets for our home. It is just my husband and myself, so I thought they would last a long time. The finish on these cabinets chip off very easily. It just doesnt last. It is really unfortunate, only a year out and they arent holding up so well. I emailed the company about a month ago, to see if they could help remedy this situation but they havent responded.
We absolutely love our new kitchen with East Front cabinets! These are quality constructed cabinets at an affordable price.
