I had a wonderful experience at Gilbert Eyecare. From the moment I walked through the door I was greeted with warm hellos and obviously very happy employees. I had zero wait and I was treated so well. The opticians were responsive to questions and explained everything so well. Then the lovely woman who helped me find my frames was amazing. I dont think I have ever been this excited about a pair of eye glasses!

I walked in with a pair of glasses that was so poorly designed they were cutting my nose and walked out with the most gorgeous pair Ive ever owned. An optician sat with me and pulled frame after frame - always discussing what we liked and didnt like and letting that inform the next choice. Love everything about Gilbert Optical. Great eye exams. Phenomenal staff who help find the perfect frames. I’ve been buying my glasses here for years. My favorite part: they sell limited numbers of each frame style... so you won’t see other people wearing your glasses.

Finding a good physician can be a challenge in terms of experience and comfortability. I chose Gilbert eye care by chance...no one referred me, no advertisement. To my surprise the visit was pleasant and fun. I enjoyed Dr Wilcox and the team at Gilbert eye care of Norfolk VA!!! By the way I was just visiting and stumbled that way...

Both of my children saw Dr. Willcoxon for their annual exams. She was personable, professional and very thorough. The office was very clean and the staff was friendly and professional. We were very pleased with our experience and will gladly recommend Gilbert Eyecare to our friends and family.

I would give 0 stars if possible. I was sold on glasses that on paper came with clip-on sun glasses. Paid 400$+ out of pocket on top of insurance. Then, I was told when my glasses arrive that they didnt know where the clip-ons were, and would call me (two individuals assured me). 3 weeks go by, nothing. I call them and within minutes they tell me that they dont come with sunglass clip ons... Horrible experience, horrible customer service, and overall sincerely discomforted with working with them.

I’ve been wearing contact lenses for 30+ years and this has been by far the best experience I’ve ever had. The office staff is kind and professional. Dr. willcoxon was amazing and took more time than anyone I have ever seen explaining eye care issues and evaluating my vision and potential problems/issues. Highly recommend.

When I was upset about the eye care I was receiving from another doctor, Dr. Gilbert heard me talking to his receptionist, and said, I will take care of you. That is what he has done from that day forward. In my opinion and experience--he is the best!

One will always have a friendly laidback experience with Gilbert Eye care. This isn’t the place where you are pressured to buy glasses at each visit. Dr. Gilbert looks out for your eyes as well as your pocket. And.... if you are in the market for a new pair of frames, they can help you with that as well. They are helpful with any issues you may be having with your glasses. Indeed, they repaired my glasses free of charge on my last visit. I highly recommend this practice.

PLEASE READ****Their main and only goal was to sell me on expensive glasses please beware of this if it happens to you!!Hands down this was my WORST experience Ive ever had with an eye doctor before. I normally dont write google reviews for places but this situation is DIFFERENT. They created so many problems for me that I will not be coming back.First I was promised by Dr. Gilbert that I would charge my insurance for contacts lenses but no choose the exact brand because he wanted me to try two different styles to help correct my extreme astigmatism. This way I didnt have to buy a years supply of contacts I didnt like but my insurance was running out before the end of the year so I had to buy them that day with a credit being on my account, at least thats what I was told. This was also relayed to the front desk in front of me so I believed we were all on the same page.Fast forward to when I want to checkout they asked if I wanted to look at glasses. Pushing me towards $800 glasses when I really only wanted my contacts and was looking at the glasses if the price was right.We find a pair I like and they give me a price verbatim the person working says For the glasses, eye exam, CONTACTS SUPPLY, and lenses. Your total is $270 sir. I ask are you sure thats with my contacts included and they say yes. But this was a lie and only payed for the glasses. They also tried to put more charges on the total saying I had services that werent done on me like the picture of the retina etc, while my eyes were dilated and I could barely see.When I came back to pick up my contacts they all of a sudden said there is no credit for my contacts, they have no clue what Im talking about, and I now have to pay an extra $225 OUT OF POCKET FOR CONTACTS!! Furious was an understatement. I felt lied to the whole time and the company is just trying to make money off of customers without caring what they want. I write all of this to say be careful and make sure you have an itemized receipt of what they are charging you so you dont get got like I did.

Dr. Gilbert is the best around. Hands down. Honest, patient, informative, with a very pleasant bedside manner. His staff is also incredibly friendly, making the entire experience a positive and enjoyable one. Not an exaggeration.

Dr. Gilbert is fantastic! He has a great manner, is thorough, understanding, and doesnt try to push services that you dont need. He explains everything clearly and takes his time so you dont feel rushed. The rest of the staff is the same way. I also like that they have the option of taking digital pictures of your eyes (for a small extra fee) rather than having your eyes dilated.

Gilbert Eyecare has great customer service and are willing to work with you to find the best solution that fits your budget. Most eye exams are free and those that are not are reasonably priced. The glasses themselves are very pricey (the office has name brands like Tom Ford and Vera Wang) but discounts are available and you’re not forced to buy any frames. The employees are great at answering any questions you may have and the optometrists are charismatic, friendly, and genuinely seem to love their work which is always a great touch.

The nurse and Dr Gilbert were polite, insightful and patient with me. I look forward to my follow up appointment.

Dr. Falsetta is a wonderful doctor. She is personable, friendly and funny. She makes your appointment with children, both my sons are patients as well, or adults easy going and stress free. She makes you leave feeling good about your eyesight even if you are getting older and dont want to admit glasses are necessary :-)

Ive been going to Gilbert Eyecare for over 20 years, and Ive never had need of any other eye eyecare provider. Their opticians are excellent, and Dr. Gilbert is awesome. Though they charge extra to do so, you can get your prescription measured without getting your eyes dilated, so you can still drive home after your exam. Again, excellent staff and a good selection of frames.
