My experience was great, they have great service people and are very nice, they will make sure you get whatever u need, will also check to see if you have a medical condition before they check you so make sure you bring your paper work if they ask. But other than that there great at what they do so I wold recommend going there.

My husband and I wholeheartedly recommend this office. We have seen Dr Dragon and Dr Batac for both routine as well as emergency eye exams, and we found them and their staff friendly, efficient, and professional. They never seem rushed yet appointment times are kept. Our prescriptions were possibly the best we have ever had, and the eye glass consultants were so cheerful, patient, and helpful. I also now have contacts thanks to their tireless perseverance and patience. The office has a true “family oriented” atmosphere - where we feel like we are known and cared about. The equipment and procedures are up to date /top notch, and patient care seems chief priority.

Dr. Dragon is always very thorough, caring, personable (asking about the family) and professional (taking your concerns seriously) with his care of our family’s eye health. We have recommended him to many people over the years for the Norfolk area, as we have been seeing him for a long time. Miss Champagne did a lovely job helping me with the lenses of my latest prescription update. She is very personable and friendly & just the sweetest lady ever! I highly recommend Dr. Dragon and Southern Eye Care Associates for your optical needs!!

The Staff and Doctors with Sourhern Eyecare are awesome. They are very knowledgeable, and helpful. The frame selection is wonderful a lot to choose from. If u want excellent eyecare and Great service visit southern eyecare

I lost a contact on vacation and needed an exam for a contact. This place bent over backward to help me. They got me right in, the staff and Dr were great! Very friendly and caring. It was the end of the month so they were busier than normal, but that didn’t matter! Great customer service!

The doctors are great as well as the assistants. Its definitely on the expensive side, I was misinformed on the pricing. The receptionist originally told me $170 for glasses and contacts, and for my first check up. I got the cheapest glasses and it cost me well over $300. Also one of the woman who was trying to help me find a pair of glasses was a bit rude to me once she found out I am a college student who is a server just to get by. I dont make very good money and was not expecting to pay so much in one day. She fussed at me for even touching the designer glasses, ( I didnt know they were designer just that I liked the way a few of them looked). Anyways. Overall it wasnt a horrible experience, but I probably wont go there again.

The customer service here was terrible. I had a white woman with short dark hair and glasses and she was both rude and insulting. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at an eye doctor. No one appears to be communicating with each other. I will not return here.

Dr. Dragon really went above and beyond for me trying to help me solve some eye health issues I was having. I highly recommend him and his office. I did not visit to buy glasses or anything so I cannot speak to that side of the business but from a medical standpoint Dr. Dragon is top notch.

The front office is completely UNPROFESSIONAL! If you like to waste your time and not be actually helped this is the place for you. I recieved a prescription for my daughter on MAY 21, 2019. After refusing to buy eyeglasses with them because they were trying to charge me fees that ARE covered by my insurance I left. I went home after the appointment and ordered Prescription glasses through EYECONICs website through my insurance instead. This place ran my insurance for my daughter stating we had purchased glasses through them and were unable to purchase the glasses until I spoke with my insurance stating I did not buy glasses through them only them was the allowance put back. After I was able to purchase the glasses Eyeconic contacted me and said this office told them my daughters prescription is expired. I called this office and spoke with Joe who stated yes the prescription is valid until MAY 21, 2020. Called Eyeconic and they said they would contact them with my permission. Of course I obliged and patiently waiting a couple of minutes before the nice woman said to me THIS office told them my daughter has not been seen in their office for a few years now and that her prescription is expired. I do NOT know what scam this office is trying to pull but, I have had it with people who clearly are unable to do their job! How hard is it to be a good person and do your job!? I HIGHLY recommend AVOIDING this place at all costs and save yourself the headache and frustration.

Absolutely AWFUL!!Firstly, six years ago, around the age of 41-42, my vision started quickly deteriorating. I told Dr. Seipal I had blurriness and double vision and my sight was in rapid decline--which is NOT typical for middle age. SEIPAL dismissively blamed it on getting older.For six freaking years, he blamed it on getting older, despite the fact that none of the corrective measures he convinced me to pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars on ever worked, and I kept accurately informing him of all the symptoms (which are specific enough that thru should have clued him in on the problems), and that I KNEW it wasnt age-related.Two weeks ago, though, I discovered that, after going to see both a neuroopthalmologist, then getting a second opinion by a very well-respected local ophthalmologist, I have cataracts that have gotten bad enough to need surgery right now--plus I ALSO have glaucoma! (Additionally--because two things arent enough, apparently--theres evidence of MS in my left eye.)Dragons & Seipals office is also run like a joke. They have screwed us over numerous times on items we paid for and had to practically draw blood just to receive or be reimbursed for.But what most bothers me is that I now have irreversible glaucoma damage and need a significant surgery because these doctors, who tout themselves as experts in diagnosing cataracts and glaucoma) had NOT ONE BUT *SIX* CHANCES to catch both the cataracts AND the glaucoma, and they caught neither.Instead, they condescended to imply that I was just getting older and just needed to accept it--while paying several hundred dollars for corrective wear that didnt help at all!No one in my family will ever step foot in Dragon & Seipals office again. We are all fed up with this kind of substandard, dispassionate, unsympathetic, and clearly FLAWED service.

Wont be going back! Dr. Dragon is great and the technician who helped me was great as well. However, thats were it stops. I had contacted this office to set up an appointment with them after my insurance company providing me a few in network locations. Before setting the appointment I asked about their billing methods and if they could use the information from my previous ophthamologist. I was assured that it would be no problem. That was a lie! I get there and everything is changed. I have a medical eye condition which covers most everything for me. Since I knew how much coverage I had through my insurance I was shocked when there insurance specialist Theresa informed me that I didnt have any hardware coverage. However, I quickly countered that false information by contacting my insurance company again. Upon confirming with my insurance company my benefits they reassured me that I have coverage for hardware. Called back and had to speak with Pam the office manager who said she would call and contact me after. Four hours later I received no call. So I decided to call them back. According to Pam I have coverage but its too time consuming to fill out the required forms for them to obtain the information they need. Bottom line the customer service is poor and the so called specialists have no idea what there talking about. The other review is dead on about this place and I thought I would share my unpleasant experience to. Hope this helps someone because they wasted my time and money!
