The vibe at this Harris Teeter changed drastically! When living around the Ghent area back in the 2000s the Harris Teeter was a decent place to shop. There were police everywhere monitoring the store inside and out..a lot of intimidating individuals shopping and or hanging around the store. Definitely not a comfortable store to grab groceries..the vibe was so Off! Disappointing for sure.

This is usually a good place to shop. They always have what you are looking for and as long as u have your VIC card u sure to get the latest discounts. They do run out if them fast but they do have stock coming in on a regular so its ok. Love this store

Good prices and convenient location. Very confusing store layout and limited selections. But overall is good for a quick shopping trip. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The store was clean and very tidy.

Its a good thing this store has little competition. Crowded parking lot and high prices compared to the competition keep me away. Store is clean and organized and might even sell some higher end products for their pompous customers. But, sorry thats not for the working man.

Can be difficult to navigate where things are located, but overall they have an excellent selection of products. The produce section is exceptional. The frozen meat options is a little lacking. Gotta get a VIC card if you go here more than once!

Valerie in the deli is extremely unprofessional and rude. I waited in line for about 10 minutes, when I finally made it to the counter she began to do everything else EXCEPT take my order, and didn’t even acknowledge the fact that I was standing in front of her. When she began making my sub she was temperamental and short with me.She could use additional customer service training and a lesson on how to talk to people. I expect better from an upscale grocery market such as Harris Teeter.

The best place to buy fruit and vegetables!! Fresh !! Harris teeter close at 10pm. The staff are very very nice! The cake, omg it is so good at here. They taste not that so many sugar as same as other supermarkert.

I only go to the princess anne location now. Wards Corner ripped me off on my prescription due to the counter person charged me 27.00 for a script that only costs me 7.00 w my insurance. They never followed up on my complaint. I dont feel they value their customers

I just moved to the area and came in to get a fix a flat to last until I replaced my tire in the morning. I can not say enough good things about the night manager and other employees. They were so kind and went above and beyond to assist me. The store was very clean as well. I have found my new grocer.

Went early (0720) so I was dodging the stockers and there pallets and carts. Well laid out, prices are somewhat high. Going early you will not get any deli or baked goods on the shelves. Also no cashiers available, had to use self checkout.

Huge selection of Kosher products!! Greatest service in the neighborhood and never wait to check out longer than 2 min even when the lines look a bit busy. Thank you for keeping us happy customers!!

This store has been my go to store for years. The prices can be overlooked when it comes to variety, ongoing sales, eVic membership, cleanliness, safety, and customer service. When I lived in the area we would visit 4-5 times a week if we were grilling. The meat selection is top notch. You can even get you a few lobsters. The hot foods for lunch are like eating at a restaurant. You will see what I mean! 🙌🏾♥️♥️♥️

It was hard to find anybody to help me find something. The cashiers was nice quiet but nice.

By and large, the employees here are extremely polite. No other factor affects my choice of business more than courtesy. Society needs more civility. I am grateful for businesses that respect the customer.

Get my medications from here would recommend anybody pick up their medications from this area good customer service and on time responses

The meats may be a tad expensive, but they have good meats. You also have butchers, which are becoming a rarity in grocery stores. They offer to help also in what youre looking for. They dont just stand there and stare at you. The store has a nice variety and selection of foods. There are also some good specials and deals. And you can get a Harris Teeter card, and gas points. Please visit one.

Very expensive.I do not like the ad that they put out where it says buy 2 get three free.. but you dont know how much the price of the 2. Will cost you .. sometimes the price of the two is so expensive you dont want to buy it like two 12 packs of soda $7 a piece.. then that makes it not a good deal.

I love this supermarket chain! This particular store is very convenient in Norfolk. Stock on shelves often runs out by 9 pm. Decent selection of Kosher foods, including refrigerated and frozen items.

They usually get my order wrong but the food is TASTY

Slightly more expensive than other grocery stores, HT has a clean upscale look with a wide selection of groceries. The main focus is on freshness and they have excellent sushi, deli, and seafood counters. Their meats and frozen foods sections are less impressive; having to go upstairs to the pharmacy is a bit of a nuisance but the staff is nice and quick.

Very clean, easy-going staff no one bothered me with the question (do you need any help with anything) self checking was a long wait. No one was using the cashiers.

A hidden gem in this part of town. Not the biggest supermarket but one that is always clean and has most of what you would want. Interesting setup as a two story market. Could use more parking though.

Went to buy a sub for lunch break. Had to wait almost 15 mins until the one employee working 2 stations finish. Not enough workers. Extremely slow. If you have 30 mins. Please dont go there.

Its a good grocery store. Id like to see a better selection of upper-tier beer, but the demographics of its neighborhood probably wouldnt justify it.I was there the day after Thanksgiving and was frustrated by the unavailability of a common dairy product that sees high sales during the holiday season. To their credit, this was the third store I tried so its not as it they were the exception. But I cant imagine why grocers wouldnt lay in extra stock in anticipation of holiday buying.

Due to the size the store doesnt have the large selection Im used to at other grocery stores, but the few brands it has range from affordable store brands from smaller more expensive select brands. The store is clean and the staff are friendly. Its in a convenient location.

Extremely expensive relative to quality. The deli counter (they are only store in the neighborhood with Boars Head due to vendor noncompete requirements) and the wide variety are the only reasons to come here--store brand meats are of immensely varying quality, and the produce looks questionable enough that Ive never bought any, preferring other stores for that. I recommend passing on their hot/prepared foods entirely; many items have clearly been heated and reheated multiple times, and its all greasy enough to make me ill.Truly my store of last resort--if I cant find what I need at Aldi, Id rather drive to Walmart at Janaf than shop here, but sometimes time does not permit. They only get two stars instead of one because they have Boars Head, and the pharmacy is decent.Elevators are frequently out of order in spite of not being labelled as such. They are slow to answer the elevator call for help button. Bring your cell phone if you use them in case you need to call the store for a rescue.

They are a bit pricey but they have good selections. Their fruits and vegetables are outstanding for a grocery store chain theyre the best in that department. In deli they have a very good seafood salad and we love their cold cut wraps made to order the way you like it. The store overall is good. I can tell you how good it is but just stop by and scroll through I think you will find something you will fall in love with about this store. My advice just give it a try.

Big store and conveniently located by my apt in Ghent. There are three reasons why I wouldnt give them 5 stars. They were out of hamburger buns, and most bread. They were sold out of waterloo. Most importantly, they dont have vegan pizza.

Woman (Lydia) in pizza was rude. Made me wait 5 mins for her to finish topping pizzas before she served me. Once she did, she was slamming stuff around as if she was the one who had to wait. Poor customer service.

Back up to 5 stars if you stock the larger green bags that I can put my kale and collards in. Also tell the guy that works in produce that, yes, it is a thing. He was kinda rude.I try to bring my own bags, but how many people carry a bag thats appropriate for wet greens?Last thing Ill say: Food Lion stocks them.Ok. Im done complaining believe it or not.

This is my day to day grocery store for the past year. Stock is fairly standard, never been super disappointed with them missing anything. Prices seem competitive and workers are always friendly and helpful, even when busy. The parking lot is small but its in the middle of Ghent- so what are you gonna do.

I love this store. The staff is friendly and we are quite comfortable shopping there. The produce section leaves a bit to be desired. Sometimes the vegetables arent in such great shape but this time there was fresh lettuce galore. We have had some trouble with old apples. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.
