These people are so nice! I had an issue with a sound coming from the exhaust area. They took a look and fixed it for free. I have to go back and get it done with a replacement part. But the temporary fix is extremely appreciated! I highly recommend this Car-X. No one is cheating you here.

Needed a screw pulled and tire plugged on short notice. Staff said no problem. Not only did the service tech fix the tire quickly, he was great in allowing our kids to watch through the window. He even showed the kids what he was doing and made them laugh. Quick fix and kids had a great time in the clean waiting space. The awards on the wall speak to the great staff. Thank you.

These guys are always great, been there a few times for various repairs on my old car. Always fair and treat you right. Been to a few other shops in the area and always felt like I was getting taken for a ride. Al is straight and honest. After buying a brand new car a few months ago I didnt hesitate a second to bring it to this shop to get my tire patched after running over a nail today. Told me I needed a new part put on the new part. Didnt fix the problem didnt need the new part.. They still charged me over $500 and gave my car back to me in the same condition that I dropped it off in

This place is amazing! I took my car in for a routine oil change and found out I needed new front brakes and a battery. Mind you I supposedly had a full brake job back in March of this year at another place. I was not happy learning that a full brake job had not been done and that I need new front brakes but Jason really helped me out and they had my car in and out same day within two hours or so. The service here is quick and efficient and the customer service is extraordinary. Definitely recommend this place to anyone. Super quick and convenient.

This Car-X has surpassed my expectations. They are knowledgeable, courteous and trustworthy. I dont typically trust mechanics but these guys are different. In addition to oil changes, they have repaired our air conditioning. They quoted a price to repair it, but upon checking learned it was something else and turned out to be cheaper. Love this place! Al, the manager is the best!!

These guys are good, especially Jason. He gave me a good price and they have fast service. Customer service is prime and he was always giving me options. I’m your typical girl that doesn’t know about cars so for him to let me see different options and prices were a win for me.

This shop has serviced both a modern car, and an old Mazda from the 80s for me and I have never been more pleased with the level of experience and professionalism at an auto service center. They managed to fixed problems with my Mazda that had gone unsolved for decades. When my newer (2012) car was having an issue they quickly diagnosed it and knew that my dealer would have a software update that would fix it. The whole team is courteous and explains in detail what repairs are needed and the costs involved. If they cannot deal with a problem or it would be best suited to another facility, they make recommendations. That type of honesty keeps me coming back.

This place is awesome. He gave me a great price on a brake job after going to two locations to get it quoted out. Also I was in and out in a Flash. Restroom as clean as well. When I have to do brakes again.... I will come here

Great Customer service that went above my expectation level. My Wife’s car was dead and needed a tow at 7:30 at night. I called to leave a message that my car was being towed and to put a new battery in. Mike answered the phone and was still working and stayed until 9:30 until a new Battery was installed and had my car back that night. Unbelievable Customer Service. Been going for 4 years and will not go anywhere else.

Dropped my Jeep Cherokee off on 5/20/2019. Hours later they gave me a $671 estimate for a broken thermostat. I looked up info online, and replacing a thermostat is estimated as costing half that. I had little choice but to go ahead with it. I picked up the car the next day. The manager told me they did not know it would take 4 hrs to fix, because it was difficult for his repar guys. Labor, then was $480. My question is, if they didnt know it would take that long, how did they come up with that expensive estimate BEFORE they began repairs? I guess its magic. If u dont mind paying double go to Car-X in North Aurora. I, on the hand will nvr go back.Richard in North Aurora

When we moved here two years ago I didn’t know who we could trust with our high mileage ‘07 Suburban. We’ve always take excellent care of it but it needs more lovin’ these days, it’s still better than buying a new one😆As a woman, I’ve heard the horror stories of shops over charging for work or talking down to their female customers. I’ve always been fortunate to have had good mechanics and friends who know cars who could verify the work needed.So I was so thankful to find that Car X is no exception to my good mechanic fortune. Al has always provided excellent customer service, he’s professional, knowledgeable and kind; but the amount of time Al took with my husband and I to go through and explain and show us what all was being done and how it all works absolutely floored me! He answered every question we had but I was most impressed with the fact that he didn’t try to over sell what needed to be done, quite the contrary.Thank you Al and crew!

Brought my car in to see why my check engine light turned on this morning. they said they could check why it turned on for free. After 30 minutes, a dude came out and said they fixed the problem by reattaching a couple wires, but you have to pay a $95 Diagnostics fee. I just wanted to know why it was on so I could dertimine how urgently I needed to fix the problem. I told him Im not paying him a dang thing. He stormed out and another employee told me I was fine and they gave me my car back. Do not trust this place.

DO NOT GO HERE. I had oil change at CarX North Aurora and ‘FREE’ tire rotation that nearly cost me my life on the tollway!!!! Tow truck driver informed all of the lug nuts on all 4 wheels were loose. Front wheels wobbled nearly off and luckily I was near the shoulder. I’m counting my blessings I wasn’t injured or struck by traffic behind me. Traumatized! Also out $120 for a tow plus who knows what kind of repairs pending to my car. CarX North Aurora was already closed for the evening. Will see what the manager says or how they fix this.

Ive been recommended by my co workers about this car x, I came because the dealer told me that I needed a new timing chain . So I came here to get it replaced, when I came in I talked to al the owner and he told me that no such service was needed and that timing chains last a very long time without being replaced. So he was upfront and honest with me witch is worth my business !!! Highly recommended

I was looking for a reliable neighborhood mechanics to service my vehicle. I have my GMC Yukon XL serviced here. The owner and his team are friendly and very honest on the estimate and tell you what needs to be fixed. They have installed and replaced my rusted brake line, did a super job on my front brake and calipers. They have even found out what was wrong with my anti-lock brake sensors and fixed them. You can trust this CarX place for routine vehicle maintenance tasks for excellent service. Look no further.

Went to CarX, North Aurora for an oil change. The mechanic stripped the thread on the oil pan so the plug wouldnt hold. The owner and manager didnt take responsibility for it. Charged me for an oil pan. Reported them to BBB, CarX Corporate in Schaumburg and Village of North Aurora since I am a resident. CarX, North Aurora did my last oil change and it was without issues. Do the right thing and you wont get bad reviews and lose business. Definitely wont go back there.

Unprofessional, and bogus trying to make you spend money. Will not be giving them any business, went to have an emissions test instead if telling me what I could do they failed because off a Service engine soon light even though I corrected the problem by myself by simply looking it up. Didnt know a light on my dashboard had anything to do with my emissions. BS scam artist stay away

Had flat. wouldnt put my spare on. i couldnt get the lugnut caps off myself. made me buy 2x $229 tires (plus labor) and kept telling me he was doing me a favor. he said nothing cheaper would fit and I shouldnt have bought an audi. checked online and retail price of 1 of those tires was 175 before a $50 mail in rebate from discount tire. in total i paid $565 after tax

Scam artists. went in to get my flat fixed. they said $159 for 1 tire!! discount tire co took the nail out of my tire and fixed it for no cost. and they also had a $65 tire if it wasnt fixable. the manager was also extremely rude. avoid this place at all cost
