Had higher hopes. I saw a picture posted by someone of one of their ice creams in a mason jar-like and wanted to try. I realized when we got there that they only had two options available, and even with such a limited menu, some of the ingredients were not available. There was no high traffic to justify the shortage. I opted to replace one of the flavors they said was unavailable in that mason jar option I chose for regular chocolate. That too was out. They brought more from the back, which was soft, so I replaced it “again” with something else. The second thing that made me feel uncomfortable was an entire family of 5 standing right behind us inside, no masks and definitely not maintaining ft from us. I understand that some employees get scared to ask customers to put on masks, but it’s the city mandate and the experience definitely made us uncomfortable and couldn’t wait to get out. Conclusion, it looked pretty, but the taste was just average, wasn’t worth the long drive and didn’t meet my expectations.
The ice cream was delicious and reasonably priced for the area, but the employees seemed to be in a big hurry to see us out.
Being that this business is located in a tourist city you would think that there would be a more welcoming environment at this business. Boy was I wrong! Upon entering the Crafty Cow I was not greeted and the body language of the 7 employees working expressed that they didn’t want to be bothered. If the employees were assisting other customers upon me entering, then I wouldn’t expect them to greet me right away. The thing is, there weren’t any customers in the shop! The “manager”, who didn’t give her name when I asked, had a very condescending tone and her responses were very sarcastic. I would love to come back and do a customer service training workshop with the employees here. My experience as a District Manager and Corporate Trainer would have these employees serving with excellence. Hopefully the owner will see this review and put together a customer service action plan for this location.
Delicious ice cream! We couldnt decide between the smores parfait or the banana pudding one so we got both and shared. The ice cream was really good! Thick and creamy. I cant wait to go back.
Parking is very challenging. Good ice cream. Friendly service.
Very good ice cream, albeit a bit on the pricey side ($31 for 5 bowls) but you get what you pay for.😀
Also posted this on Yelp- Ice cream was good but the service ruined it. I ordered a small cup of birthday ice cream ($6) and the girl who served me gave me one single scoop of ice cream, so measly it didnt even take up a bowl. She also had a horrid attitude (a blonde girl with her hair in a bun and a tan). The other workers were quite pleasant but I am disappointed I received less ice cream than my family members (WAY less) because I had this girl as my server. She ripped me off. I am a local and I wont be coming back.
Nice little ice cream shop in the middle of Barefoot Landing. The interior is pretty and clean, and the staff have always been friendly. Most importantly, the ice cream is good! The blueberry cheesecake and praline flavors are fantastic. And the red velvet: wow! The texture is literally like velvet and the flavor is like a rich cocoa cake batter. Love it.
Yummy ice cream. A little pricey. Would definitely recommend.
Yall this place needs NEW friendly and helpful managers. My daughter has been working for this place for 2 weeks now and every night she comes home upset over how she is treated by the manget wendy and her 16 year old manager daughter. They need A attitude adjustment. No wonder they always need help! Get it together Crafty Cow
Customer service was nonexistent with six employees behind the counter and four staring at me without any help whatsoever. Tried to order a sundae and they looked at me with blank stares. One employee went to read the board of what a sundae was....We then asked if we could have it in a waffle cone bowl instead of a regular bowl and that made things even more complicated. Still very confused at what was going on there. This went on for a matter of two minutes even though it felt like thirty. We ended up walking out and leaving the line. The most absurd and ridiculous thing I have ever witnessed in something as simple as an ice cream shop.
Average ice cream and unfriendly staff at a premium cost.
Service was horrible, attitudes by staff. Won’t be back
I visited this ice cream shop based off a recommendation from seeing someones photo. The customer service was horribleThe 7 employees stood behind the counter with their arms folded, no welcoming body language or greeting. This location is in a tourist area and I would think the location would be filled with visitors. There were no customers but once we spoke with the employees we understand why, they are very sarcastic and have little to no customer service experience.
Generous portions, kids loved it!
I loved the blueberry cheesecake flavor!
I got a shake in the mason jar and it was half full. Not worth $8 but the staff were super friendly but the owners should really think about lowering the price for the amount they give. Dont show a big mason jar then give me a super small jar then only have half ice cream in it. Very disappointing.
It was really good but not worth the price. The glass was 1/3 ice cream them some other stuff. I was very disappointed.
I’ve cream I ordered was good, but the cool looking shakes pictured are no longer available fyi
If you need a sweet treat than this is a place to stop- to answer the owners reply I give very few five star reviews. 5 stars are reserved for business that go above and beyond what they should do. I believe four stars is a good product and/or service that does what it should do but didnt do more than that. This place was very good and should be patronized. I will return and you should try it if you are in the area.
This place is not friendly, Customer service sucks..
Quite possibly the most bland milkshake Ive ever had. I ordered bourbon vanilla because they had no options with chocolate chips or anything crunchy, but there wasnt a hint of bourbon at all. Dont waste your money.
The ice cream itself was really good. But it was really expensive, and the dude working the ice cream wasn’t even wearing gloves.
Great Tasting Ice Cream
Great Ice cream. Friendly staff.*Observation - This is one of the only restaurants we went to in North Myrtle where the staff wore masks during Covid-19)
The ice cream was creamy and delicious with benches outside on a beautiful evening. The blueberry cheesecake ice cream is my favorite. The line moved fast so hurry up and visit!
My wife was on an exodus for homemade ice cream. A wrong turn (me) brought us back to Barefoot Landing. Alas, we found the Crafty Cow yo save the day.I ordered a thick chocolate milkshake for myself. It was made to order. I could hardly drink it through the straw. The crew is always busy, but attentive. The A.C. felt good and we found an empty table. I would recommend this place.
It tasted GREAT. But the ice cream was very soft. Not soft serve. It was hard dipped. But the cookie dough ice cream was actually runny. Cashier said it was because it was super fresh? IDK. But it tasted good.
Lots of ice cream choices and friendly staff. They also have a lot of unique flavors, such as praline. My only recommendation is more cow decor for how cool of a name and logo the store has :)
I got a banana pudding and vanilla bourbon milkshake and it was delicious.
Delicious ice cream
Customer service was non existent and the ice cream was very tasteless and disgusting. I never throw away ice cream but this time I made an exception. I Won’t go back!
Milkshake is awesome 👏
Just got back from Barefoot from a field trip with the Risen Christ Christian Academy 3, 4, and 5 year old. We took them to eat lunch, ride the rides, and of course, get ice cream! We walked into Crafty Cow with orders for 26 children! The employee, Bill, was so patient and friendly, and didnt even try to run away when he saw our list!!! He wasnt overwhelmed at all (or if he was didnt show it!) and the kids were so happy! Thank you Bill and Crafty Cow for making us feel welcome!
Creamy and smooth. I had coconut and chocolate hazelnut. Boy had mint chocolate chip and birthday cake. Hubs had praline chocolate hazelnut and coffee. All were superb. Friendly service, very clean.
Great ice cream! Very attentive employees who helped you with what kind of ice cream and toppings you want.
Great service.Waffle cones were good.Ice cream was not as good. I had cookies and cream and tried praline, black raspberry, salted carmel, and strawberry. All flavors were okay but lacked something (richness maybe?) The flavors tasted as they were described.
We had fun and my son even helped the free Magician show out front. On vacation in North Myrtle Beach.
Eh $2 for a 12 oz drink is kinda crazy
Amazing home made ice cream. very friendly staff.
Great 👍👍👍💯
DECEPTIVE COUPON & PRICING. NOT WORTH THE DRIVE. Drove 9 mi north from Broadway@Beach to visit them & use the coupon that says Free Waffle Cone with purchase. We bought a $5 or $6 cup & the waffle cone. They charged us over $11. I asked if they used the coupon & they said yes, it reduced my charge by $0.50 to cover the waffle cone not the ice cream. Ice cream is good, but you can get good lots of places at MB.
Good icecream. Great folks 👍
Needs more seating. But I recommend the blueberry cheesecake
As others have noted, the pricing is deceptive. Their menu says ICE CREAM Small 4.69 I ordered a small ice cream cone, expecting to be charged $4.69 plus tax, but was instead charged $6.27 (including tax). When I asked why, I was told that the 4.69 is for the ice cream only - the cone is an additional 99 cents, so a small cone is $5.68 (plus, apparently, over 10% sales tax). The ice cream itself is OK, but not worth the price. Ill stick to Ben & Jerrys in the future.
Yummy yummy yummy hand dipped ice cream cones were fresh staff was friendly!!!!
I wanted a cup gave me a cone told my sister they were out of a kind told me it was soft my sisters friend wanted a cone got a cup
Love the ice cream selection and taste.

One worker was singing the whole time as she made the fudge. She also gave out samples with a smile
