Just had the most perfect bike built for me for absolutely dirt cheap and i got it right away. Incredible place. Im so happy it exists. Highly recommend

Great little community shop, the mechanics were helpful and friendly. I will be happy to have them work on my bike sometime. They have refurbished second hand bikes for sale. I saw prices mostly between 120-250.

Friendly team, great diverse inventory, and very supportive of teaching others about building, repairing and maintaining bikes. Plus a wonderful place to donate bikes and equipment. An Oakland gem!

Fantastic bike shop with great service and a great cause. I am planning to do a triathlon and haven’t seriously rode a bike in a decade. I got a bike from here and it was too big. They kindly let me trade it in for a bike that fit just right. The best part is the $$ goes to community programs that help kids and adults alike with various bike needs. They also take donations and will tune up that bike that’s been sitting in the garage.

Awesome little shop with new and used parts + knowledgeable, friendly bike mechanics ... During the pandemic simply make an appointment on their website (and dont be late!) Parking is a little tricky so plan ahead. Lots of great deals on accessories + I even got an upcycled tire for free b/c I saved it from the landfill! Fair prices for work done. We had a really positive experience at The Bikery. We had been to a few different bike shops in the area, and this one was the most helpful and had a good selection. The staff was so friendly and pleasant. We got a good bike, and would definitely recommend the shop to others. They also seem to do lots of good work in the community, which is cool.

Great community bike shop. The guys running the place are incredibly helpful and friendly. I had a few issues with my bike right after buying it from them and they were happy to fix them no charge. They also do great work in the community, running bike programs with schools. Will be happy to support them with my business for as long as I bike nearby.

Went for advice on a bike helmet, and ended up buying one that fit perfectly (I have a big head). But what I noticed while there was the friendly professional service offered to all sorts of customers, even those who needed help adjusting their bikes. A real community resource!

Great service, fair priced, amazing part of the neighborhood.

Half of the pleasure of a bike store is that you almost always leave with a smile on your face. This place leaves you happy about humanitys future too. A young guy saved a crank for me after my pedal de-threaded by forcing it in backwards, then using the new threads to put it in straight. Probably a few hundred dollars saved, the cost was whatever you want to put in the jar. I love this place.

Years of history and hard work in the neighborhood, a real asset to the community, run by people who grew up in the community. I work alongside some of the core Bikery crew in other projects, and I can say they’re top of the game.

Honest people run the operation and they, the staff are more than happy to help their customers with whatever they require to get your bike back on the road. I witnessed in the shop, a young man was in need of a more than a few parts. I watched as their bike tech diagnosed the ten speed. Was shaking his head, turned to the young man and offered a bike off the rack in trade for the young man. The young man could not believe what he heard and neither could I. Wow!!! That doesnt happen anywhere. Since that day The Bikery gets all my business.

I’ve visited here before. I know some of the youth are interns but they should really be paying attention more than having personal conversations. I went in Tuesday to fix my bike which caught a flat tire the day before. I paid for my service and got on my bike to leave and noticed that they young man who was working on my bike didn’t put my tire on all the way I had to go back for him to fix it. Overnight I supposed they didn’t patch up my interube well cause it’s back on flat again. On my way back to fix the problem once again.
