Customer service is awful.Management is a big Joke, they never address an issue.Be prepared to even slap one of these people getting out of pocket.

Besides prices being good, checkout is always an issues. They never have enough clerks checking out and always a coincidence lines are long and someone (clerk) always has to go home when it’s really busy. Front end needs to be scheduled better.

Completely fabulous! There are so many things in the grocery store that I need and I love to go there to buy treats. Superb inside as well. They are working to provide us with the finest quality that reaches our requirements. Ill never forget to let my friends and family know for sure about this grocery store. Surely, Ill drop by here again!

Great parking

Prices and convenience of location make this a must have in the community. The lines tend to be pretty long, but most checkers get you out quickly. The produce is usually fresh and abundant, and they even have a mexican style condiment counter with guacamole. Its no Mi Pueblo, but nice to have either way. The parking lot is usually not too bad, but there are usually loose carts all around and people can be rude.

They really have 2 lanes open. One express and one regular.... And clean baskets🤦🏾‍♀️

Went to shopping today and bought meat. When I got home I smelled the meat and it smells spoiled! Be careful because the prices might be cheap but the food is spoiled. Please check and smell the food before purchasing because they do not check their produce.

I went in and there were no carts I was directed to the manager at register 15 asked he would call a uc to round a few... He tells me we dont have none and turns around. Very unprofessional as a manager I wont be going back.

Be ready to spend more time waiting in line than shopping if your are shopping here, 16 lanes available and only 4 open with about 15-20 carts waiting for each lane, while available cashiers are pretending to be really busy working on the isles talking about their personal lives with other coworkers. Every single time that i come this is what I go through.

Good grocery store, which I stop by while in the area. It has a large selection for good pricing. Staff is mostly fine but there are some that you have to have patience with. Mostly neat and clean. Sale items are very good. Meat, and produce, are great.

East Oaklands most Monster, Mega, Massive, food store that is a great place to visit when you are looking for bargains, but as far as regular stock, customer service, and cleanliness go, they fall short much of the time.Go to find a bargain on some of your favorite products, but the changing selections and long lines dont make this place on of my favorites.

This is such a great store, very clean, GREAT clerks, like the service at meat counter (Don) is very courteous and clean. Ill say during this terrible time for cleanest, and fear about it, this store is a good one to follow..thank YOU for having such a great store in this area, we love and live in.. top notch security also..good example of Customer service and support!!

This store is very trifling but it fits with Oakland and thats sad

I had the absolute worse groceryshopping experience ever in my life period. Most of the shelves were empty and soiled with dirt and some spilled substance on quite a few of them. There was debris scattered and most of the grocery isles. Most of the products had expiration dates that were about to expire and some had expired. I bought ice cream that I have to return for a refund because I took the top off and there was no deal. This place totally put customers health and well-being and the community health and well-being at risk. I wouldnt recommend anyone to shop here. It needs to go out of business asap.

Nice, clean meat and fish market! Good selection and pricing. Seems much cleaner than gazalli’s super market and more convenient to get your meat and go.. But the hours are sporadic and inconsistent. I went to buy meat at 7:30pm and it appeared open. Myself and another couple of people asked the Lady butcher for help since she was just kinda standing around and she moved to the back and said they were closed. But the lights were on and the food wasn’t covered and she appeared she was trying to duck out early. Would it have hurt to help us? I drove there purposely to buy some steaks. When I asked the cashier up front what the hours were for the meat market he said it depends on who’s back there! Huh???? Is this a business or what? Customer service should be first priority.. post your hours and stick to them.. if you want us to patronize you and keep the store open in our neighborhood, act like you want our business or it will be grand opening.. grand closing...I’ll take my money elsewhere .. no problem!

Its good business for Oakland. An actual grocery store. So ppl can stop doing their grocery shopping at the corner store. They keep it clean stocked and for the most part safe. However, they did appear to have more visible security than cashiers.

Very clean and organized. At first there were 2 registers opened but glad they immediately open another one. I love that they sale bulk items. Will definitely come back. Only bad thing is that they were too many shopping karts at the lot but it was raining so I wont deduct a star yet.

5 stars for the cashier and the meat market attendant both were great! Also the nice lady who brought more green onions immediately when the bins were empty. But for the overall store they need to be better stocked especially over the holidays and need more cashiers there is always a line. If I am making a quick trip I will go somewhere else

They have the worst customer service ever. Don’t recommend this store to anybody. They dont help you when you need the help. Plus they over charge at times, they steal you little by little. The cashiers sometimes dont use the mask correctly now with this pandemic not a safe place to go shopping because of this. They dont respect they mask rules but make customers respect rules. This store just sucks in general.

Its a decent place to go grocery shopping. They dont allow soliciting so you dont have to worry about that. Parking most times is good. Food selection is good.

HUGE store. Really reasonable produce, I bought chicken at almost their lowest price and lower than our local Safeway and Lucky.You do have to do your own bagging so be sure to bring lots of them! You will find things not found at above named stores.Make sure to allow time there so you can look at everything.

Overall its a pretty great store. Lately the fruit hasnt been so great - we saw several moldy oranges and blueberries today and some fruit flies. But there was also some really fresh produce. They have a pretty good selection and their prices are great - they usually have the lowest prices in the area.

Easy store to get what you need. I just dont like the customer service. Black ladies always have to say something negative about latinos. I can understand what theyre talking about really well. The store is not only theirs just because its oakland. I especially think the manager should take applications in consideration upon hiring. Theres a lot of people who want to work and will do so 10 times better. Its just an awful experience to go through.

The variety is vast and better priced than Safeway or other market in general. The mall has some security issue from what Ive heard but for me, I have never really have any problem. So long as you use common sense and try to shop during day light.

This store has great prices on most items. Sometimes they run out of their sale items by Sunday night, especially eggs, but the regular prices are good too. The produce is generally fresh, and there are a variety of meats.

I Like the Store in Foothill Square.Pleasant, Clean, They have the Majority of whatever a Household will need. They may Not be everything to Everybody. But they get the Job done satisfactorily.I do have one issue & it was touched upon by others.The LINES at times are just too long. They have a graph of the peak hours. So why not put the Cashiers on at those HOURS. Instead of telling Folks that they have to get off Work early or wait till almost 9:30pm to shop?P.S. Please tell the Employees & Security Guards to not park in the Handicap spots

Great prices but really lacking in customer check out, usually only 1 or 2 lines open, ..carts hard to find in afternoon. Prices a little tricky, many items must be purchased with quantity blocking rules to make you buy more to get sale price. Decent deals on breads, milk, and fruits.

This was my first time shopping at foodsco in Oakland. I had a pleasant shopping experience. Fresh produce. Store shelves were stocked. Store was very clean and customer service was on point.

They dont care about their customers when I walk into the store I went straight to the bakery department . So I put the original Cake I wanted back. I picked different cake decide to put my own decoration on it myself. get to the front of the line lions are in the middle of the aisle. I ask to speak to a manager nobody ever comes. I have been waiting over a half an hour just to speak to a manager . I am extremely livid that I have this experience and Im just trying to celebrate somebodys birthday . Dont shop here they dont care about you there just want ya money

This is based off my recent visit...the express cashier took his sweet time to get a key for alcohol. I had 2 items and most of the other registers were closed or had a few customers with full baskets...needless to say he had an attitude that fueled my attitude after one of the many closed cashiers took a customer because he had one item...so did I!

Again, s l o w service, poor management, the same for YEARS.......

I was surprised how well stocked the shelves are compared to other grocery stores in the area. Picked the perfect time to go there as lines werent long and checkout was easy and quick. Cashier was really nice too as were other employees in the store.

Easy to navigate through and to find what you need. The meat department is quick service as well as the cashier. Also, The service is nice to you.

The store has improved but the employees have to become more business like smile and speak to the customers. They will not be there without the customer.

The Worst customer service experience I ever had. The checker ( on the fast check area at closing time on 4/7/18) literally yelled at me and my lady telling us he would not check us because we had more then 15 items and went in about it. It would have been fine to simply let us know to go to another checker rather then disrespecting a senior citizen by yelling in the most disrespectful manner.Will never go back there again. This man does not belong performing any customer front work. Someone needs to teach him courtesy and manners.

Im standing in line right now and Im annoyed. Why do they have 15 lanes but only open 3 at a time? This store seems poorly ran and like they do not care about their customers. Standing in line for 30 minutes is purely unacceptable. I would like to see corporate come through and help support management on how to get this front end together because it is TRAGIC

The store has great prices compared to other chain grocery stores. I was disappointed to see that they once again have removed their Deli section and has removed half of their meat department.

You have to pick the right time to go in. Some days I can get in and out, but today really sucked. Seems like I am always seeing new cashiers, so if they are always training someone they are always going to have long lines. I do admit the employees that has been around for a while, will move the line. Today was an off day for me. This was not my usual shopping time.

I wish I could give them 0 stars they have bugs flying all over the fruit nearly everytime I go in this store nearly always crowded wait time in lines is crazy some staff are very very rude including the manager not the younger guy he is really nice but the older manger is rude &grumpy and they close the doors a few minutes early sometime I have called the main store to complain about this also they have been opening up more registers lately but they usually have 2 lines open and one is 15 items or less and you will be turned away if you have more they want you to stand in that long line to return fruit that have spoiled or has mold on it overnight or meat that didnt get put back in fridge rite away when it was in the go back basket so it gets purchased too home opened to only find out it has a horrible smell when you go to take it back you have to stand in a long line they need a customer service counter geesh

No very pleased, lines long 16 registers only 4 open!!! Waited in line 4 over 20 minutes. Not happy. SAFEWAY is 5 blocks from your store always faster...

Ive have been a customer since the beginning and even within 1 week of opening I purchased spoiled meat and old produce. Totally stay away from mark down items, they are so old NO ONE should be consuming them. Only thing is the prices are what keep me trying, but I have brought these issues to management many times and it has yet to be corrected

We moved from GA and this store carries a number of Kroger brand products which we loved using back in Atlanta hats its so far out though please keep this store open!!!

Huge store they have a lot of stuff, the one thing Ive noticed is that the fruit goes bad really quick after you buy it...and they only had 3 different types of fish, they had a huge amount of tilapia like a full freezer and then more somewhere else in which tilapia isnt good for you ..so I was really disappointed in the fact they didnt have the fish I was looking for but other than that its an ok store

Today was OK, just had to pick up a few things and was really just in and out. Similar visits Ive ended up standing in line to check out for longer than it took me to shop. I leave and go somewhere else if I walk in and there are 3 lines open and 15 people in each one. Pisses me off but not as much as standing around til the cows come home to pay for a few iyems. They need to clean up their act.
