Took a little while to get the right car that my mom liked, or wanted to try out. On top of that we had some active kids with us.Our sales person Grace was wonderful, patient, not pushy, and worked very hard to get my mom into a vehicle she would be happy with. She was also very accommodating with my nephews. I very much appreciate her drive and willingness to work.That being said wait times were a bit long. As well as there being only one finance person doing what they can. Overall, I’m fairly happy with the transaction.

Overall had a positive experience with McCarthy Hyundai in Olathe. I was pretty worried about the car market but needed to buy a car ASAP. I had worked with Grace in the past so was happy to work with her to purchase my new vehicle. She was friendly and not pushy. The finance office was also easy to work with. While I know I bought a car in a terrible market for buyers, at least there were nice people at the dealership to deal with.

It took 2 days to get mccarthy to come down to my reasonable price on my car. Plus a feature listed which was important to me was missing. The first salesman I worked with (Micheal Shelby) gets 5 stars from me. Even though we could not make the sale that day he was polite and courteous. Never treated me any differently because I was a female.The second person I worked with gets 1 star. He was not courteous and very much treated me differently because I am a woman. He first asked me if I found him more attractive than the person I was working with earlier in the week and then drew me a diagram (picture of a car and all) to explain to me how cars are bought and sold when I told him that I disagreed with the price of the car. The following day was even worse. Finance made an agreement with my bank to accept a check draft until they sent in paperwork to my bank and I would take possession of my car. They did not honor that agreement and I left without my car that day plus extra legwork as I had to drop off the paperwork to the bank instead of someone at the dealership! I began trying to buy the car on Saturday and did not actually get the car until Wednesday. Never will I buy from here again or recommend anyone else to.

I had the privilege of working with Grace Perry when getting my Hyundai. Not to sound cliche, but Grace truly went above and beyond to make sure I got the car that I was going to love. With the national vehicle shortage, options in models and trims were very limited. **Second update: After finally resolving the issue, McCarthy Hyundai called me back weeks later advising they didnt charge me the correct amount and wanted more money (I had already paid them hundreds of dollars). I no longer have the paperwork (as we got rid of the car), so I had no way of verifying if it was true or not. I was told I have no choice but to pay the amount. This service department is seriously the worst. Do not go there.Our Santa Fe broke down so we took it here for service because it was the closest service location. During the time it was there communication back to us was non-existent. After days of no news I had to call them to get an update each time. Once the vehicle was fixed the service advisor was so unfamiliar with his own job that I had to walk him through all of the repairs/service that was made so they would charge us the correct amount (their amount was significantly lower than what we were supposed to pay) and then the rest to the extended warranty company who had already approved the claim. Now its been months and they are calling me asking me for money when all they have to do is fax a single piece of paper to the warranty company (who has already approved everything and is just waiting on their paperwork to cut a check) so that they will be paid. Each week I call them, each week they tell me theyll take care of it and call me back, each week they dont call back. Frankly its been an ongoing punishment that I used this service department and I cannot recommend enough that you go somewhere else. They dont seem capable of doing their job.

Chris went out of his way to assist me with multiple questions I had regarding a total loss and didn’t pressure me to come back for another sale. I have taken my Palisade to McCarthy’s service department twice and both times the experience was less than expected, bordering on rude. It seems like they are so busy they do not feel customer service is necessary. I have recently moved to Olathe from Joplin and feel that the fact I did not buy my vehicle from McCarthy makes me less important for them to satisfy me. I will start taking my vehicle back to Joplin to have it serviced going forward.

We took our car in for a recall, nothing was fixed, they had us take our car with the power steering still not working. They never sent us inspection info and after calling 4 additional times, no response from their service department

This was my first experience at a dealership. My sales rep was quick to come up with a solution when the vehicle I had made an appointment to see sold just about 5 minutes prior to my arrival. I love the vehicle I purchased and am thankful for the minor work that was done on it before I drove it off the lot. The process was quick and easy. I deducted a star because the sales rep that assisted me thought it was necessary to inquire about the age difference between my husband and I, and extended his hand to offer a “fist bump” to my husband. This is the first and only time in our 5 years any commentary has ever been made, and in my opinion, wasn’t appropriate, let anyone anyone’s business.Other than that, my experience was fine and I didn’t feel pressured regarding the sale.

Grace Perry went out of her way to help us with the purchase of our 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe SEL with Convenience Package. You can see how relaxed the other customers are. Especially at the Hyundai lot. With each year Hyundai makes targeted improvements to the cars as they really have listened to what the drivers say. On top of that, Hyundai is known for their outstanding service coverage.I still cant believe the deal I got for the new car and my trade in. Lets face it, these past 2 years has been rough. But as I drove home with my new car and not having that feeling that I just got ripped off. Was the best feeling I had in what seemed like ages!

My husband and I purchased a Hyundai Palisade from Jamie Ross. The service itself was great but their communication could use some improvement. Took my car in Wednesday morning and was told they would call me to give me an update. No call. The next day same exact thing. Finally I hear back on Friday with an update after calling them. Wouldve been fine if they didnt promise me a call by the end of the day each time.They ended up following through with getting me a rental and are replacing my engine under warranty. I would for sure rate 5 stars if they would have been better with communicating my cars status. Its not easy finding rides to work while your car is in the shop.

I am a person who hates car shopping and doesn’t know much about cars, so I am hesitant to go into any car dealerships or auto shops. However, once I got there, Hunter Allee made my car shopping experience extremely comfortable. I felt that he was honest with me and worked with me, even though I am in kind of a tough situation, financially. He really took the time to find me a safe car that was in my budget. I really appreciated that he took into account what I told him I needed and that he went the extra mile to make sure I ended up with a safe car. I am more than happy with the car I got and would 100 % recommend Hunter Allee. Should I ever need another car, this is where I will be going. Not to mention, at this time, cars have been in higher demand, so it makes it that much harder to find a car.
