I absolutely loved my experience at the Palm Desert Store. Tori assessed my needs & then explained all the different bed options. Once I selected the mattress I liked, she found my “Sleep Number” so I could try my number on the mattress of my choice. I found my perfect bed & purchased the i8. I highly recommend this store, especially if you can work with Tori!!
We ended up buying from Sleep Number because their mattresses are extremely comfortable. Moreover, we were helped by Val who was a great salesperson. He explained everything to us as he let us try out different mattresses. He remembered our names and would leave us alone for short periods of time to let us discuss the different options without ever being pushy. If you need a new mattress, go here and ask for Val. He made it a great experience!
**Let me first warn you that Store Manager Ed Haycox admits that his title is only that. He has no authority to make promises or decisions.**Run away. Do not walk. Sleep Number is the biggest scam there is. My wife and I went in to buy a bed – I was in need of an adjustable bed due to previous health issues. At the time, we bought the I10 and thought everything would be good. This mattress is apparently great for its cooling technology. This was extremely important due to sleeping hot. The other important factor was “wall-hugging” technology for the adjustable base.The very first night was a disaster. Not only did we experience back and hip pain, but the “cooling” was the exact opposite. It was one of the hottest mattresses we had ever slept on. No one was comfortable. Furthermore, the wall hugging base was far from it. I couldn’t reach the nightstand from the bed. The good news was that we had 100 days to try out the bed and return it – no questions asked according to the manager of the Palm Desert location – Ed Haycox. In an effort to give it our best try, we went back to the store and bought the Dual Temp mattress coolers. Another $1600 but maybe that would do the trick. Even on the lowest setting, now everyone was freezing their tails off.Now the fun really begins. We decide that we are going to return the bed and frame. When we looked at the process, we realized there was verbiage about the frame not being returnable and start to panic. A $3200 paperweight was not going to be acceptable. We go back to the store and Ed assures us that there will be no problem returning the frame so we are feeling better. He tells me I should receive a phone call to start the process. Weeks go by without this call and I keep going back to Ed who again assures is it will happen.I finally decide the customer service department instead of waiting for their call. They advise that nothing has been started on our behalf. They also tell me that they will not return the frame in spite of what the manager has told us. After weeks of arguing, we go back to Ed and he finally capitulates and tells us that his manager title is worthless (no kidding). Promise after promise had been broken and this was probably the only true thing he ever told us.Long story short, we ended up downgrading the mattress because we were stuck with the frame we could not return. Now we have a bed we don’t want.Don’t waste the money and don’t believe a word anyone says. Their model is to trick you into buying the bed with all the superior technology and then give you the shaft when you are unhappy. Next on the list is a BBB complaint.If I could give zero stars, I would.

Awesome being able to test each mattress and find our stress points. Received lots of information... we fell in love with the I8! Can’t wait for it to be delivered! Zzzzzzz, ahhhh!
This is a review for the service, not the bed.These are not cheap beds. When you drop over $10,000 for a bed and frame, I think that it is not unreasonable to expect a little more from the staff than a receipt. We bought a bed and frame just before the new year. The bed was delivered in a few weeks, but the bed frame (head and footboard and rails) was a special order and they said would take about a month.Eric, our salesperson, indicated that he would call on Monday with a firm date. There was no call on Monday, so on Tuesday I call called him, but he was not available. I left a message. Also left a message on Wednesday. The next day I called and tried to get someone else to set a date, but evidently the manager was not there so no one could help me.Finally I went on the website as indicated on an email I had received and was able to set up a date, Feb 15. TODAY!Since I had heard nothing since I bought the bed about the delivery, I called customer service. They told me I had nothing set up, but were happy to arrange the next available date, March 26th. 3 months after I purchased and paid for it.So I called the store. The best they could do is tell me that they would talk to the sales person. OK fine, I honestly dont care about the sales person. I dont dare about logistics, I dont care about COVID 19, or much of anything except getting the item I paid for, and getting it on the date they promised it.Again, this is not about the bed, the bed is fine, but seriously, I can get phone from China in 5 days, but a bed frame from the USA, 3 months?
Val took great care of us! Really taking the time t figure out what was best for us. We are so excited to receive our sleep number bed.
My husband and I had a great experience shopping for a new mattress. Val, our sales rep, was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with everything. He answered all our questions and never pressured us into anything. He made our experience a good one. I would definitely recommend to my family and friends. We are excited and can’t wait to receive our new bed!
Our experience at the Sleep Number Store in Palm Desert,Ca. (#1802) was excellent. The sales associate, Val. Was very informative and helpful to us. I recently was diagnosed with an ailment that was exacerbated by my current mattress. The salesman, Terry Rayborne could not have been more helpful.I had a lot of questions even though I had done my homework onSleep Number. Terry answered all my questions and I never felt rushedor pushed into making a decision. He is without a doubt one of the bestsales persons I have ever dealt with and made my decision to buy a SleepNumber so easy. Thank you Terry and I highly recommend this store.
My husband and I were beyond impressed with all the staff at this store. Ed was extremely patient with us and took us through the explanation process step by step. We eventually decided on the iLE and cant wait to enjoy it. Please make sure you take the time to fully understand how their sleep system actually works and the differences in each mattress. It takes a bit of time to understand and try the different styles. This is a no pressure store, no gimmicks either. They have a great sense of humor too. Thanks Ed!!!
We already own a sleep number bed and went in to check out pillows. The salesman was so helpful but not pushy at all. He showed me a pillow I’ve never seen before as I have back and neck problems and am a side sleeper. He ordered it for me and I can’t wait to get it. I had also checked out sheets online to see how much they were and I found a gorgous set on sale in the store.Thank you Val for making the in store experience a GREAT one.

What an awful experience at this Palm Desert location. We purchased a bed and the associate included a set of sheets in the sale. Weeks later, after he assured us we would have the bed already, it still had not arrived. Finally, it arrived 3 weeks from the promised date. The associate promised us a credit. We never received the credit or the sheets. We called so many times and got nowhere. The owner was apathetic and never returned our messages. Fortunately, Corporate stepped in and rectified the stores blatant errors and apologized. I would NEVER recommend this horribly run store.

Very courteous and knowledgeable staff. Went in several times. Was never pushes or hurried. Bed will get delivered in about a week. Will keep you posted!

7/17/20 Once again 5 stars bed 1 star customer service. As stated below I am physically disabled and my husband and I are in our late 60s.Other mattress leaking now. Telephoned, paid and received mattress. Wrong size. Called and on hold 10 minutes unfortunately to wrong department so transferred and on hold another 10 minutes. Finally got the mattress ordered on 7/24/20 and paid the extra owed for the size difference with instructions for returning the wrong mattress. (Box is heavy) Today is the 27th and I hadnt received a notification of shipping. Requested shipping information on chat and the bottom line was I was told the back order was on back order. I requested she have a manager contact me and she informed me she was unable to do that because she was chat only and informed me I would have to call customer service. Im sure that will be another 10 minute wait. Anyway I am going to try calling the store at 11 AM when they open. In the mean time I am airing the mattress approximately every hour at night. BTW I did request a technician again and was told again that it would be at least two weeks so this must be their standard. Needless to say I am frustrated and angry. There are other air bed manufacturers out there and I wish I had purchased from a different company. These beds arent cheap and I would have expected better customer service in support of their product.I will continue updating as the dilemma unfolds.Sleep Number C-2 Purchased 8/17 5 Stars for the bed and sleeping experience. 1 Star for repair assistance.Problem: One side of bed loses air rapidly. The help site gives instructions to try but as seniors we feel it will be too physically challenging. Contacted customer service on chat and were told service call $199. Agent sent secure credit/debit form and I completed and sent. Agent then tells me soonest appointment 12 days away. (Interim my husband is waking every hour to fill the bed.) I told the agent we would like to keep the appointment but look for help elsewhere in the interim. Asked if we canceled if our money would be returned. His response was that the card had been charged and the appointment scheduled. Called customer service and was told I needed to contact 48 prior to receive a refund.My conclusion is that you are really on your own when it comes to problems with the bed after purchasing. I also dislike being charged before a service has been performed. Very poor customer support.

We have had a sleep number bed since 2003 and we are purchasing another one that has so many improvements over our prior one.
Bought our 3rd sleep number bed here.. quality has gone down.. structure of the mattress is not at the same quality as in the past.. have been purchasing these bed since 1997-1998...
