They tuned my new built engine on high rev which was something unhealthy to do for freshly built engines. And after the final tune the car wasnt running at its best. And they couldnt figure out the problem but instead they started guessing things just not to admit that their tune isnt right to avoid refunding me. So my experience as well as 2 other friends. Mac just want your money they could care less about them getting work done properly.

Installed and tuned by Mac and everything came out amazing!! Nick is an awesome and knowledgeable guy! Will definitely be doing any work on my 16 Wrx moving forward through Mac. Highly recommended!

This was a bad review but after working with Nick I had to change it.Recently I had a rather unpleasant experience with Mac Autosport regarding some price miscommunications and such. The specifics of what happened don’t matter anymore because Nick from Mac called me today and very sincerely apologized to me about the situation and invited me down to the shop on his day off. I went down to the shop expecting to get a check for reimbursement and be to on my way. When I got there Nick and I started talking and ended up talking for a good hour and a half. Nick spent the time to show me his entire shop, talk cars, get to know me and over all apologize for what had happened. Nick is a very down to earth good guy and I would absolutely recommend working with him. Mac is about their customers and if there is a discrepancy they’ll resolve it. I’ve always said accidents and miscommunications happen, its how you handle the situation that counts. Nick handled it very professionally and made things right.In terms of their work, excellent. I had brought in a oil pan to get a bung welded in and it is beautiful work. Well done.

I called in about Alignment issues and spoke with Bill. He assured me someone would get back with me. 3 days later I called back. I spoke with Bill again and I said I called back in case they misplaced my information. Again he assured me someone would call me back. 3 weeks later no phone call back. In my opinion they take the s right out of service. I had the issue resolved at a shop that cares about customer service...

Do not get your car tuned here! Simply lost my file on my laptop and asked bill for another. No can do, not without a price! Worst customer service too, dont try even try. Many other more reputable shops than this P.O.S. around.

I had a very negative first experience, but decided to come back a second time because mac got so many recommendations from close friends. The first open source tune was just ok, but the tune after getting an AP was flawless. Nick is a great tuner, extremely helpful, and friendly. The tunes are expensive, but you get what you pay for. I will definitely continue to take my 04 STi to them in the future.

I brought my car to MAC several times over the past 8 months. I feel bad posting this review, as they seem to be good people. Maybe overwhelmed or something. As I type this, I am having to pay to have my car towed back home because MAC botched an AEM EMS v2 install. Ive wasted about 10 hours of my life, and $3000 with this company. There is more to say here, but I wont be wasting any more of my time due to MAC.

Unfortunately we have had a very bad experience at MAC autosport. I brought my car in just needing to be tuned. Within 190 miles later after being tuned by MAC I now need a whole new engine. I was charged almost 900 for a complete stand alone tune. When I compared MACS tune to the base tune, very little was changed in the tune. We had to return because of drivability issues that they attempted to fix, but did not drive the vehicle to confirm it was fixed. After the engine was blown I contacted Bill and was told to email him photos. I was contacted by Nick and was told that nothing they had done would have caused this. I have emailed them twice with no response back. I feel like I have been ignored. So beware if something goes wrong they pretty much wash their hands of you.

All I can say about MAC Autosport is that if you want first class treatment, and customer service, then take your car to them for virtually anything. Tuning, motor builds, consultation, suspension, and normal every day maintenance items. I have only ever used MAC to tune my vehicle due to them being located more than an hour from my home, but I have been immensely satisfied with their service, and how they go above and beyond to make you happy. Just like everything else - there are circumstances and situations that are not foreseeable and it is unreasonable to think that just because they have tuned 10 cars just like yours, that yours will behave the exact same way.I also found myself laughing at some of these reviews because a lot of the idiots giving MAC 1 star are just salty because MAC doesnt want to tune their project or they are salty over a couple hundred dollars when they are ultimately looking out for you as the enthusiast. Keep in mind... if a couple hundred dollars is a problem - you shouldnt be modifying your car. They dont do hack jobs. They dont do deals. They are in the business of making money and putting out some of the highest horsepower, well maintained race cars in the front range.Bill may come off as grumpy but he is a secret teddy bear and a true car enthusiast. I think he should be awarded the Nobel Prize for Patience. I mean who else could deal with all these Colorado Subaru vape kids calling and picking his brain for free!? Bill, Nick, Bryan, Cody: Every chance I get, I promote your shop. You guys are awesome. Thank You.

Would not recommend MAC to anyone. I went there to discuss a build on a motor and as soon as I told the tech what motor I was working with he said I would toss that build out and start with something else it was my choice on how i wanted the build so I felt it wasnt his place to say that. Really not worth the time or effort to go in or call.The customer service from every position was sub-par, I felt the techs were typical Parker snobby kids.

Very happy with all the work Nick at MAC has done on my various cars. He has extensive experience tuning virtually every engine management system on the market, and has always done a great job for me.

Ive had MAC tune and dyno both my 14 STi and my 98 Supra Turbo, probably a total of 5 visits. I think Bill, Nick and crew are hard-working and knowledgeable people. Very positive experience and will be back. And a remark about some of the negative reviews. Several people gave 1 star because the shop declined to work on the model/year of car. That is ridiculous! Defining their range of expertise helps them give customers expert service. Ive taken cars to Audi only, Toyota only shops etc, do those shops have to put up with people complaining they wont work on their Ford?

Called a few weeks ago, to get a price for a suspension kit for my 04 gto, they answered their phones thats about it, it was always oh let me look it up, or I havent got to that yet, lol theyre supposed to call me back with a price still, 4 weeks and counting. If their work is like their customer service, Im glad they didnt touch my car.

Best welder in Colorado hands down. Ive been going to Mac for years and they always take care of me.

After a short phone conversation it was evident they knew practically nothing about Mustangs or how they were powered. When they declined to work on my car I was relieved.

Brought in a 2010 Wrx that was having a random bogging issue under full boost and the tech performed an inspection on the spark plugs. About an hour and a half and $300 later he states that the coil packs were good, but found a spark plug that was loose....fast forward a couple days later and the bogging appeared again. After the inspection, driving home the car felt like it had no power and long behold the technician didnt even re-tighten my intercooler pipes whatsoever. The new owner immediately ohm tested the coil packs (which the tech easily could have done) and it ended up being the issue. I wasted my time and money at this shop that never fixed the issue. If only Metro Perfomance were still in CO

One of the nest experiences Ive had with a business. Nick and Bill were both very professional, personable and knowledgeable, and since Ive had my car tuned I cant stop smiling at how well its performing.

Heard bad things, was scared to go, but was the only place that tunes Power FC locally. Made an appointment, got me right in, and did amazing! My car had multiple problems, and went just to get a tune. Nick was not able to max my performance because I had a bad MAP sensor, but he still tuned it the best he could with the info the faulty map sensor could provide, and the car runs amazing! I got all the parts now, and am ready to go back, and am so excited to do so! The whole team went above and beyond, and allowed me to watch and record the whole process.Wanted to make a new post, but would not let me. I finally got time to get back, car is turned better then I dreamed. Mac is amazing, I added a tuned by MAC sticker on both sides!

Had my WRX tuned and EBCS installed at MAC and couldnt be happier. Everyone I talked with was nice and seemed to love what they do. It was money well spent and I intend to make them my preferred shop. All my questions were answered and thoroughly and I felt like my car was in good hands - which is saying something since turn my own wrenches and I let no one else touch it unless its an emergency.These reviews whining about not being able to get their cars tuned need to be discounted - if your car cant be tuned safely, do you want someone thatll just take your money and let your car blow up? No. You dont.

Just got turned down to tune my 240sx because its Too old that they dont tune Nissans under 03. Either your making excuses to not have to work or your a sorry excuse for a tuning shop.Very unsatisfied with your business.

MAC is awesome! First day I took my 370z to get it tuned Bill gave me a tour of his shop, talked to me about all kinds of projects they are working on and race cars they maintain, really such a cool and welcoming guy.... I am sure any other shop would have treated me more like a customer to suck money out of and less like a friend...it was very surprisingAs far as their service? I brought my car in for a dyno tune and these guys immediately diagnosed a hidden problem in my supercharger setup (originally installed at the boulder nissan dealership.. you would think they would know what they are doing). My car was throwing some sort of throttle position sensor code that had been turned off manually when the supercharger was installed.... the MAC crew could have just done the tune, patted me on the back and sent me on my way and I would have never known the difference (kind of what boulder nissan had been doing) They were like hell no! We need to fix this! Set me up for another appointment and corrected the problem caused by a shotty wiring job boulder nissan did. When I came back this second time I was also surprised when the guys were saying the tuner wanted to know how I liked the tune, this tells me he actually cares about getting cars mapped out correctly and not just pushing them through the dyno. He even tweaked the tune on the second round baseline to give it a better cold start.Overall the difference after bring my car to MAC and having the tune and re-wiring done is night and day! The z is so much faster and responsive. My car had always been a little hard to get going... I thought it was just the lightened flywheel and 6 puck clutch.... nope, it was because it had a stock stillen tune (not tuned for altitude) and was wired like a turd. I cant thank these guys enough! My car simply drives amazing now. It is so great to find a knowledgeable and honest crew that actually cares about quality and doing things the correct way. You could not find a better group of guys to work on your Z or other performance car.

I have never had a car Dyno tuned in my life and a co-worker suggested MAC Auto so I gave it a try, I gave Bill a call and he was able to tell me everything about their Dyno process and the costs involved and was able to work with my schedule to set up a time to come in. once I showed up they where able to get my car right in and told me I could go back and watch them do the Dyno once its all hooked up and strapped in. I had a great opportunity to meet the guys working at the time and especially Nick, the guy doing my Dyno. He was very professional and knowledgeable about what he was doing and what to look for while testing my car. After the baseline run he found some issues with my engine and took his time to find the problem and show me exactly what was going on. after finding the issues they knew exactly what to change and how to do it. when its all said and done Nick and Adam fix the issues with my engine and tuned it to safe level for my car, giving it more HP and more Torque. I would highly recommend these guys and take the time to get to know them, ask them questions and suggestion they might have. they made this a very good first time experience for me and I will absolutely give them my business in the future.
