Great experience at Evans. I love supporting local companies. I had an oil change and a vehicle inspection before our big trip across country - they did it in a timely manner and even offer a goody bag for new customers. Highly recommend!

They are very pleasant while maintaining their professional demeanor! They are also very courteous and explain things in a way that is easy for a regular person to understand. They treated me pleasantly and NOT as if I were stupid! I get that enough so it was very nice to be treated with kindness!

I went to Evans automotive for an issue that my existing mechanic couldnt fix for some reason. I talked to Chris when I went in and he was very professional. I told him the problem and he assured me that they would get to the bottom of the problem. He got my car and had it fixed in a very reasonable timeframe. This place is very clean, very professional and the people who work there were very compassionate. Lastly, the charge for the service was more than fair. Ive been to many mechanics who seem to rake you over the coals so to speak. In my opinion, this is a place you will be satisfied with and cost effective.

Excellent service. Fixed my truck in two days when another shop had the truck for 57 days and failed to fix it. Charged 1/3 of what the other shop that failed to fix it charged and Evan’s FIXED IT!

My husband scheduled a brake service to try to support a local business. Our dealership had quoted just under $300. They called to say it would be $1800 worth of repairs they discovered. Said no, went to pick it up and were charged a diagnostic fee. Not happy about that but paid it just to be done with them. Dealership did the job for $270, and did not discover any of the same supposed issues that Evans did. We asked to be removed from their marketing, got an email and text today asking to be reviewed. We were just going to not ever use them, but since they asked repeatedly for a review, here it is. Stay away from Evans.

Had a small exhaust leak, on my 2005 Toyota Sienna, they found the problem and had it fixed within hours.This shop has done other Major work on my van, they always meet and or exceed my expectations. I would never take my van anywhere else, I trust them 100%. They are also experts when it comes to Toyotas much better than any dealer for sure, and they back up there work with a two year warranty. I dont usually wright reviews but they are just that good!

Incredible service! Incredible communication! Over the top Customer is King attitude!! I had left my recreational auto in my garage a bit too long after Hurricane Sally and the battery died - as in truly dead. I knew of several other needs (leaking oil pan, etc) that needed attention so I had it towed to Evans Auto 🚘 in West Pensacola. They performed a complete preliminary inspection and sent me detailed estimates on time needed and parts and labor. When it was ready they had a driver sent to my home [26 miles away) to take me to my vehicle! Its worth the effort to get your vehicle there!

Theyre one of the few places in Pensacola that can work with AC systems that use R-1234yf refrigerant. I went there because my 2018 Honda Civic had an issue with the AC and the transmission. They were able to diagnose both problems and fix it up. Be prepared to have other means of transportation ready for a few days if they need to make repairs.

Evans automotive has been a well run and honest repair service. They give you an estimate and do their best to stick to the quote. I leave my car off and pick it up with the peace of mind that it was done right. They are not the least expensive nor the most expensive but they are a good value for quality work. My experience is if something is not right they will go out of their way to solve an issue and you do not have to go through any pain to get the problem resolved. Wish all businesses were run like this one.

I like using local business when I can and the prices are somewhat competitive. Evans Automotive replaced my truck tires with a new set at at a competitive price, great service and they were on time. I have some upcoming work to be done and I will surely gives Evans the opportunity to price it out.

The guys were very professional and very knowledgeable on their stuff. I had a coolant leak and also got a coolant flush, a oil leak, my rotors and brakes pads all needed to be changed out plus an oil change. Everything was fixed and im very pleased with their service on my truck it is back to running better than ever. Had a radiator hose burst durning a long drive. I called Evans the next afternoon and they were able to get my diesel jeep in that day. They told us it would take three days and be done on Friday because they had to order the required parts to fix the hose and do a interval mileage service. When Friday came they called and said my jeep was ready. Overall wonderful service and professionalism. I will be using them again.

Moved to Florida in July of 2019. My first stop was a visit with my daughter & family in Pensacola. I own a 2008 Lincoln SUV. I purchase cars I love, take good care of them & they last for years...naturally I was looking for an excellent, independent mechanic (s) to care for my car. Honestly, I was nervous. I had gone to the same awesome mechanic in California for 22 yrs, what are the chances of finding a replacement ??Looked on Yelp/Google, Evans was loved by many & located around the corner from my location. I had delayed a bit...necessary maintenance since my schedule was crazy with a coast to coast move. So, fingers crossed and I went to Evans. They found a few important issues that would have been dangerous down the line, I was grateful for this as I was headed to south Florida the following month. Service was A+ from reception to finish. Just about a good as it gets...though I decided to withhold my review to see if the car was Sound with no unexpected surprises :) Ive driven 4000+ miles and arrived back in Pensacola a few weeks ago to visit my daughter once again. First thing, I made an appointment with Evans for an oil change and a windshield wiper adjustment, Same A + service ! A huge thank you to Evans Automotive. Honestly, the last 4000+ miles my Lincoln has never run better !

We towed our 2010 Audi in because it was giving us all kinds of trouble. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and honest which is always appreciated when your car breaks down. They stayed in constant communication giving us updates daily and kept the vehicle until they were 100% satisfied with the reliability of their work and nothing more needed to be done. The service advisers were helpful changing scheduled appointment day and time. The service was a pre-purchase inspection. It was more than a visual inspection which gave me more confidence in purchasing the tested vehicle. Very reasonable price.

My parents’ car needed some repairs and the staff at Evans came through for them. They were professional, courteous, patient, knowledgeable, and overall excellent. They even offered my parents a ride back home! My parents were very impressed with the way they were treated, the quality of their work, and the speed of their repairs. I brought my car in for repairs. Their prices totally beat any other estimates that I received. Not only that, but they also recommended some other work that needed to be done (all of this for less than half the cost of the things I previouslyneeded repaired. Also, I felt very confident in their work because they guarantee everything they do for 3 years/36 months (unheard of!). Awesome trustworthy staff, not trying to take advantage of the fact that I am a woman (you know how it goes). I am so glad that I found them and will always trust that my car is in great hands!

I just wanted to say that all the people at Evens were a joy to work with. I was taking my daughter down to Florida to go to school and we had an accident on the way. Long story short we needed to buy a car fast. We found a car that we thought might work but wanted to get it checked out. Chris was nice enough to fit me in last minute. Turns out there were lots of issues with the car. Chris gave me a recommendation for Frontier Motors. We found a similar car with no visible issues. Called Chris back and he fit me in again the next day and based on the fact that it was his recommendation he didn’t even charge me for the second inspection. Wound up buying the car. Took My Pickup Truck In With Only A 10 Minute Notice With A Defective Trans Shift CableThe transmission shift cable became disconnected from the center console transmission shifter on my 2005 Tacoma Prerunner, 4.0 Engine with long cargo bed (has a 6 long cargo bed). I tried to reattach it by using a c clip at first and then an e clip but nothing worked. I would later discover the cable has a factory installed bushing in the eyelet end of the cable that attaches to the shifter. Frustrated that I was not able to reattach the cable to the shifter via c or e clip I turned to Evans Automotive. It was late in the afternoon, only a short time before they closed. My pickup was taken in immediately and I was called the next day and informed that a new cable was required and it was a special order at the Toyota dealer. Once the part was delivered the next day, my truck was ready for pickup in short order and the center console assemble was reinstalled by the tech. I had removed the console and placed it in the back seat to make access easier for the tech to repair and I made mention that I could reinstall it myself once the repair was done. Just shows that Evans Automotive overdelivers and I was pleasantly surprised that the tech had reinstalled the center console assembly which I had placed in the back seat.

This has been the third time I brought a 15 year old SUV to them for maintenance, and I am always satisfied. The vehicle is running like new now. Since the vehicle is used only for running to the beach or when we need the carrying space, they keep me informed on what I need to do to keep it running. Very professional and trustworthy.

Evan’s is the only place around I will ever take my cars. They are willing to fit your repairs into your own schedule. They don’t pressure you into to doing things you don’t want to do. They are honest about what’s wrong with your vehicle and what needs to be repaired when. Evans had replaced my transmission almost 2 years ago with a Jasper transmission 3 yr / 100,000 mile warranty. The bell housing had a rattling noise so I took it back to Evans for a check up. It turned out the flywheel bolts had worked loose after 250k miles. They fixed the car within 24 hours. New flywheel and bolts and new mainseal. Excellent service and value. Transmission is still perfect. Thanks Evans.

If you’re rich or don’t really need to watch your money, Evan’s Automotive is your “friendly” neighborhood mechanic. I emphasize friendly because the office staff is likable and seems to possess excellent customer service skills. As far as repairs on your vehicle go, I guarantee most mechanics in town will beat Evan’s prices. My vehicle was correctly diagnosed by Evan’s for the agreed upon diagnostic fee. In addition to the major problem, I was also told that I needed a new battery and an oil change. The estimate for the repairs given to me was a little less than $1300. I was quoted $650 for the new part, which seemed high. I did some research and made a few phone calls around town to see if it made sense to let them do the work. Every other shop I spoke with offered to do it for less. The major discrepancy was the price of the part. I found it online for about $100, and the same dealership Evan was purchasing the part from offered to sell it to the other mechanics for $250. Perhaps Evan doesn’t have a good relationship with dealership, and they were going to charge him 3x more. I towed my vehicle to another shop and paid half the price Evan’s quoted me.

Great customer service and I felt confident that work needed WAS needed and done properly/thoroughly! My only complaint is that several grease spots were left on the drivers inside door panel.

Great service and just when I needed things done. Service advisor was friendly and helpful as expected. Repair estimate was reasonable and the final bill actually came in less then quoted. The vehicle work was completed in the time frame expected and the van was returned clean. This is the second time I have had work performed on what is now, two different vehicles. My family recommended Evans Automotive years ago and I trusted them with my truck repair then and now my van. The service experience was just as good as the first. You can look around and see a lot of places to take your vehicle in this area. Be careful.. I am very picky and was in the automotive industry for 10 years and 2 years as a mechanic. This is the place if you want vehicle service done right the first time by someone you can trust.

4/23/19 - Stopped into Evans Auto for the first time today. These guys are great! Very personable. The service was quick but thorough. I will be back!5/8/19 - I came back yesterday to have my SUV washed as they offered me a free wash as a new customer. My first trip was 5 stars but the lack of detail on the wash and vacuum makes me give them 3 stars for the second trip. My SUV was still covered in bugs all over the windshield and front grill. The very back of my SUV was not vacuumed. And it looked like they didnt even wipe down my ground effects on the bottom of my Ford. On top of that it looked like it was washed with a dirty rag as I had spots all over my vehicle (it is black so it stands out). Basically I had to take it to a different car wash to have it properly cleaned after I left Evans. I will give 4 stars overall (5 for the first trip, 3 for the second) but it would have been less stars for the second trip if I actually had to pay for the wash.

They provide excellent service and go above what is expected.

Chris is very rude i had a jasper transmission that failed ive been wanting to get it in to be pulled chris was rude when i asked when i could get it in asked me why i pulled the pan?in a smart tone because i wanted to know if it was a shaft or internal he said he would call me back he lied and still hasnt called me back i dont want nothing to do with this guy.....moral of the story if its my truck and my money and im paying dont be rude to me about my personal property

My poor car (2010 Venza) needed an overhaul. Evans took care of it in a few days even with a worldwide pandemic going on. She runs so much smoother now, but still has a rattle when I start it that wasnt there a few months ago. They checked it out and said there isnt much to do about it because shes getting old and its oil that isnt flowing into the engine as quickly when I start it.
