Now days Its Tuffy to find good service. (See what I did there?😏) The guys here were great! I needed an inspection to make sure my car is road worthy for a road trip coming up.Big shout out to Jimmy for not only putting up with my eccentric mother but for the fast service and quality business practice. Was told over the phone I could bring my car in, but, it would be an hour wait. I said I was fine with that, so, I took it in, and, was told they could not take me today because they were so busy!! Why wasn’t I told that over the phone before I took a trip out there. Michael, at the front desk, was not at all apologetic even after I told him I could pick it up later in the day. I was told to call him in the morning to see how busy he was!! Not going to happen and from now they have lost my business.

Prompt response when I arrived. Had my brakes and oil change done within 3 hours of dropping it off. My normal shop said I would have to leave my van there for 2-3 days before they could get to it. Glad I took a chance and took it to Tuffys.

Great job. Needed a muffler fixed on my 2004 Toyota Tacoma. Got me in on a Saturday and had it done in less then a HR. Just moved here and found my local repair shop.

My mother (77) went in for an oil change and tire rotation.While there, she was quoted $1400 for a rear brake change; on brakes with only 15K miles, and a control arm replacement.If you come here, better bring your wallet because you are going to be taken advantage of.Parts changersHIGHLY RECOMMEND AVOID !!!!

They were honest and very polite. I let them know that there were signs my transmission fluid was low, and it needed to be changed. They checked it out first and sure enough it was very low. They told me exactly how they were going to fill it and estimated the price which was completely reasonable. They were honest that it was something that needed to be done but because it was low for so long that I might still experience the same issues I was having and if so then I needed to see a place that specializes in transmissions. I also very much appreciated that the mechanic would wear a mask when speaking with me.

Absolutely fantastic service! Mike and Jimmy are very courteous, professional, and above all else, theyre completely honest about what repairs are necessary and which ones are a good idea but not critical.I take all my vehicles here, and they will even inspect a used vehicle before you buy it to make sure youre making a good decision.

My 2015 GMC Sierra was slowly leaking freon. Would hold pressure for a day or 2 and then get warm again. Took it to them with a free A/C inspection coupon. They said my condenser was leaking....and they wanted $1k to change my condenser. Told them no thanks, Id do it myself. Just took the condenser out and this is what i found. This isnt the slow leak that i had. It is clearly CUT!!! Tuffys is the only place i took it to and no one else could have done this, or had the access under my hood to do so. Do not take your vehicle here!!!!!

Very overpriced and a rip off place. I called and they quoted 125.00 over the phone. I take my car and then they tell me it will be 850.00 for a tune-up seriously what tune-up cost that much? NOPE I took my business somewhere else.

Full service shop, not just a quick drive through place. It was not busy when I was there, but nobody was sitting around or hanging out in the back smoking. Two guys were touching up paint inside the shop, another was cleaning, and the others were tackling side work. If they are motivated enough to find projects to keep busy when it is slow, you can count on them doing the right thing with your car. Lazy technicians cut corners, and there is not a lazy one of them in the shop.

Justin has been so helpful every time I’ve gone, treated me with respect, took me out to the truck to actually SHOW me what was wrong and I never felt like I was being taken advantage of (being a female as well as having little auto knowledge). My mother came in with me this last time and couldn’t believe how clean the lobby and restrooms were and appreciated how nice and well-mannered everyone was. The good news is the oil change was done quickly and at a good price, and the staff is nice. And they only recommended a couple items, both of which are needed. But I was quoted $400 for front brakes, and I got it done for less than half that somewhere else.

I came in fir an oil change. I was made aware of possible future repairs needed that I would not have known about otherwise, free of charge. It was refreshing that this type of service still exists, and my tires were rotated for free as well.

The waiting room is clean and peaceful. Smells wonderful and is comfortable. Free coffee! Holly at the front was super helpful and friendly!The staff even taught us about your fish! lol(Also would like to enter for the car seat for a friend who just had a baby girl!

So my car was having problems called tuffy asked them price ranges to get something fixed it ranged in the two thousands and i did not have that kind of money off hand due to virus and everything thing else going on with pandamic i work 2jobs told them if i can get a payment plan and they said yes was approved for just the amount i needed chris justin and the workers out back live up to there name and tuffed it out for me now im on the road riding with a smile thank all of u for great customer service great work great attitude i highly recommend them to any hardworking citizens.

I had problems with other mechanics ripping me off as a disabled single woman.. but I was so pleasantly surprised at how honest Mike and his crew were.. with the issues I was having they could have told me it was the radiator or something way more expensive. It ended up being a heater tube which was a blessing. I truly appreciated the whole experience I had while I was there. Everyone I had an encounter with were so very friendly and very knowledgeable. They have definitely gained a new customer. I will be using them for all of my car care needs.

Staff are friendly and welcoming. Technicians/mechanics are trustworthy and thorough. Will never take my vehicle back to the dealer. They provide a warranty on their work and they complete the job quickly.

CHANGE IN MANAGEMENT. Great place with friendly and honest people. Firestone and Mr. Transmission have both referred me to them for different jobs. Their prices are fair. I paid more for parts than I did for labor, doesnt happen much.They worked with my Pontiac for 9 days trying to figure out a problem, rather than must replacing everything. Saved me about $1000 of work and parts. Yes, the time sucked, but it showed dedication and they offer a loan-a-car to help you out at no extra charge.Brian, Mike, and Vance are hard workers and really care about helping you out as much as possible.The only thing that I did not like was a lack of initial communication. You need to call for updates or ask them specifically to contact you but after that everything is good to go.I will definitely be back.

Nice staff, helped me with two tire replacements, and a very clean building

Came to them to have spark plugs and a timing belt replaced. As others stated the final total was a bit pricey but then again most of us just complain about having to spend money. I came back to them two weeks later because I smelled an odor in my car of something burning. I was thinking it was a result of something they had done but it turned out to just be a plastic bag stuck on my exhaust. They are a great crew with swift service and a clean environment.

I have been to 5 shops in Pensacola before being blessed enough to find this gem last year. The owner, Brian, is always honest and helpful. This shop employees some of the smartest mechanics Ive ever encountered, and theyre also very polite and always want to explain things in an understandable way. I have take 4 vehicles into this shop over 2 years now, and I will not go anywhere else with my business! If you want a mechanic shop that is honest, fair, intelligent, punctual, and affordable definitely go to Tuffy on university parkway!

This is a great place to get your car fixed. Everyone here is friendly. They are always straightforward with me and their prices are reasonable. I usually try to get a price quote from several different places before I get my vehicle fixed and their prices are normally better than other auto services in the area...

Love the service. One time they told me one price but then had to call me and said another price. They apologized and when I came back to pay, they had given me a discount. I am a loyal customer.

I dont recommend coming here if you have a battery problem. They will charge $29 to test the battery (free at AutoZone, etc.) and then $29 to install the battery (a 3 min operation). Instead I recommend going to AutoZone to get your battery tested then come here or somewhere else to get an interstate battery but bring your own tools to install it yourself.

Went in for an oil change and brake work. I had to get new rotors and pads on the front (I expected this). Upon leaving I realized I still had a brake issue (minor pedal vibrations). I called back and Mike was very accommodating. I took my car back in and they inspected it immediately (they were about to close). The head mechanic took my car for a test drive and ended up diagnosing an issue with the rear drums. They told me to bring it back in the morning and they would fix it. long story short, they ended up fixing them for free since I just had work done. Since my car was back in the shop I had them do some other work I was putting off...They ended up discounting that as well. I will definitely be bringing my car hear for work from now on!TLDR: Very nice staff, honest, worked with a poor college students budget.

Charged me $80 to take a few minutes to look and tell me a hose was split. Then tried to charge me $800 to replace my water pump. When questioned they said it didnt need to be changed but that I still need to pay $160 to get the hose replaced. When I called John Thompsons Service Center they said they could do it all for $250. I will happily take my business elsewhere

I put a newer model bumper on my truck which required custom exhaust to be ran. It was definitely no easy task running the pipe and tips for this custom application, but the guys at Tuffys went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right and to my expectations. I could not have asked for better service. Thanks guys!

Once moving to Pensacola to attend college I gave Tuffy a try. It is close to the UWF campus, convenient, quick and the customer service is top notch. I know that the people at Tuffy will not try to get over on me, and I truly appreciate that. I have used this location for 3 years now, and dont plan on trying anywhere else!

Went in thinking I needed a battery. Sign said free battery test. They checked it and charged me $34. The FREE BATTERY TEST only happens when you buy a battery from us. They wanted to charge $185 for a battery I can get at WalMart for $95. Exact same battery. While I was there they told this young girl it would cost $35 to give her car a smoke test to find a leak. After they started the test they told her oops, its really $70. Sad. This place use to be run by honest people.

Was given a quote by the owner to have my transmission replaced,had my vehicle towed to their location,2 days later receive a call telling me that because of a miscommunication the quoted price was wrong and that it was actually going to be $1250.00 MORE than original quote. When I voiced my opinion and told him to NOT touch my car...he hung up on me.Called corporate office, no result other than owner having my car towed back to my place at his expense, I asked where my key was,they had no clue! Will NEVER take any vehicle to them again...Shadey folks!

As i went in for an oil change the mechanic told my i needed to replace my power steering, and it would cost me around 1200. i wanted a 2nd opinion, and the other mechanic told me there was nothing wrong with my power steering, and if I did needed replaced it should only cost around 600. i will never return to tuffys service center.

Took my car in there for a 41 inspection oil change. They maybe changed the oil but definitely not the filter and didnt top off my liquids or perform the inspection. Knew I had a headlight out just to see if they would tell me and they said everything was ok even though when you turn the car on it clearly says headlight is out. One of the workers was walking around the store talking on his phone. You can tell they just dont care about their jobs....this is a trap not a service, avoid at all costs. COMPLETE RIPOFF

Mike at this tire place is a nut job. I miss Brian! First he tells me it’s going to be two hours to get two new tires that I told him I was going to be there to get the day before (tires are still at the warehouse!). Then I take my car and call to tell him to cancel and he proceeds to yell at me and tells me he got the tires (lie), so I hang up. Then he calls me back and leaves me a voicemail and says he told me one hour, not two (lie #2). So, he is a major liar too - bad, bad business..then tells me do not, all caps, come back to “his store” and that he has the right to refuse business and his store will never help me again - verbatim. Don’t worry you little twerp, I won’t be back (my words) - but he already knew that… I’m sure that’s why he felt the deep need to call me back and leave a nasty voicemail, which I plan on keeping - and if Yahoo or Google offers a way to post a Voicemail online, trust me, I will post! LOL

Car died just as I pulled it into a space. Went in to see if they were same as one in Gulf Breeze. They arent linked, .. guy I spoke to (with a look of, itd be too much effort to make it easier on you and make calls) Told me too get it towed to GULF BREEZE bc they did the work. So after all of that.. Gulf Breeze location charged 120.00 for tow, called 3hr later and was quoted 158.00 tow fee. Before all that, (of course my warranty is out), so asking $1900 to fix something they never did right in first place. (Also tried up selling me tires and some other non immediate needs). Dont use this chain.. Look up AB MOBIL MECHANIC they are honest and do the work right first time.

I have never been treated so rudely just trying to make an appointment. The Service Advisor (Mike?) should never be answering the phone as all he does is drive off customers. Just his rudeness alone ensures that none of my family vehicles will ever go anywhere near this shop especially when there are so many other professional independent shops available in the Pensacola area.

These people are a bunch of crooks took my car there to get a small hole patched in my muffler which was making alot of noise and I already knew about the problem the guy claimed they did the job so I took it for a spin to see would I be able to hear any noise. And yes the noise was louder than it was before I pulled in they shop i was born at night but not last night i guess they thought they could pull that b.s on me but I wasnt having it after literally GETTING a little on the loud side they end up fixing the problem dont be surprise people this is what mechanics do this is how they get paid .COLD WORLD.....

Over priced, have messed up things on my car. The owner spoke over me on the phone and said that he did not understand the problems I was explaining. Words that I got directly from a mechanic that told me the issues on my car that have been caused from tuffys. Do not go here. Oil changes are way over priced. They offered to look at the problem but at what strain of me being talked over and rudely ignored for a week before the owner responded to me. Not impressed. Take business elsewhere.

I have read some bad reviews, but my daughters car had a nail in it and had to go out of town. It was Saturday and every tire shop I called was back up for two hours. She was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Tire is still holding air. Thanks!

These guys are the best in town the shop was busy and so the manager fixed my flat so I could get back on the road it took ten minutes tops

They stand behind their warranty. I had to have my A/C compressor replaced on my Suzuki. It cost $1400 as parts for the Suzuki were very expensive. Apparently parts are also frequently faulty as they had to replace it several times to get one that was working properly. They stood behind their work and spent a lot of time getting it right. Thank you Mike and all the guys that worked hard to get my car running again.

Overpriced. Costed almost 30 dollars just to get tire patched for a Itty bitty nail 🙄 And I was told that if there was a nail that theyd inform me before patching but they just went on and did it.

Absolute thieves... took my truck in for oil change and 41 inspection with coupon end up replacing 1300 worth of things... less then 20 miles later Coils in engine mysteriously go bad. They said 3 were bad which if that was the case the truck would not even run. wanted another 1100 bucks out of me in less than a week... Took it to the NEX auto shop by the navy pensacola hospital only needed 1 coil replaced and spark plugs. 200 instead of 1100. Shady business do not waste your money there.

Beware. Worst Service I ever had at an Auto shop. They wrote a bill charging me for replacing the oil pan gasket. Came to find out the oil pan plug was loose, and this is the second time they left it loose.Also a bill for a transmission filter kit. Again the plug was loose. I think the bastards left loose !#$&*Never again going back to this place!

WORST SHOP IN PENSACOLA.

Was charged for eight hours of labor$875.08 car was only in shop 5 hours,was told two different stories about labor fee per hour $102 and the book that they go by which would be $175 the latter. I was charged.also parts installed were a lot higher than auto stores. dont believe a word that they told me.
