I went in for a new keyboard, and on the way I stopped to look at a new cellphone I had recently seen. A man was very eager to show me the latest technology until I told him I had just bought a new phone and was under contract. He then acted like I had the plague and quickly retreated to his register. I went on to get my keyboard, and not one person came to see if I needed help, which fortunately I didnt have any questions, but still...then I browsed a few other departments. The (older) man in appliances was very helpful, but when I went to the TV area, there were 6 employees standing together and not one broke rank to see if I needed anything. Only when I was walking away from them did one call out to see if I was finding everything ok. At the other end of the department I walked right past an employee playing on his cell phone. He looked me right in the eye and kept on playing with his phone. Then at checkout there was one person at the registers and she was also playing on her cell phone until I walked up. Is this how Best Buy operates? Customer service has apparently taken a nosedive and they dont seem to care about their customers for the most part. Maybe thats why there were only a handful of customers in the store that Saturday afternoon.

I bought a new TV and it wasnt a good fit for me. I returned it and was helped by Patrick. He was great at giving me the information I needed to purchase the one I needed. Patrick was professional and pleasant, so happy he was there to help.

Best buy had what I needed. Trying to get any employee off their phone to help me find it was another issue entirely.
Make sure you read the bar code on every one of the little price screens they have. They had several stacks of air conditioner units. They were in order from lowest BTU to highest and the prices appeared to reflect that. I picked one of the a/c units that had the price on top of the stack displayed at 299 but when I got to the register the guy tells me its not 299 its considerably higher. So we walk over to the price and he says oh yeah that does say 299. Then he picks it up and says, oh no the last number here is 7. The bar code on the a/c you got ends with 8. So what does this price code belong to I ask him? He says he doesnt know. Well why is it sitting here displayed as if it was the price? I paid the full price because Im not going to argue about it but it was very misleading and if anywhere else had them in stock I would have left and got one elsewhere.

We accidentally went in at closing time we were prompt knew what we wanted. They provided us the information that was important to me and my questions on the tech I was looking to purchase. Staff was polite and not pushy even though my family an I came in last minute. My older daughter walked off and was able to keep herself entertained. I have to say this experience with the staff has changed my view on the company as a whole and will continue to give at least this store my time and business.
It can be hard to find someone to help you sometimes. However, their customer service desk is always helpful. Their prices are pretty good. I go there when I dont want to wait for shipping.
Got a new 40 inch 4 k TV. Sony love their prices and their employees are always really helpful.
I had a woman with me I was assisting her and picking out a laptop the woman was a Muslim it was obvious that the Best Buy staff was biased against her because of her religious background and the outfit that she had on.The guy that kept trying to up sale the item instead of getting her what she needed he just kept trying to sell her something more expensive after she told him time and time again that it was out of our price range and then he threw his hands up and said Im sorry I guess we cant help you.
Curb side pickup at this store is really good. I have made several orders over the last year and Im always amazed at how quickly its ready for pickup. The check in process is easy and they bring it out quickly. 100% accuracy for all my orders so far. I really appreciate this option and that this location does it well. Nice to get things within an hour and Im home faster than if I had to go in and wait in line to pay.

Its ok. Definitely a store to check on when needing an appliance or computer. Customer service is lacking though. Went to look for a fridge and the lady who was supposed to help me acted like it was such a chore to leave her conversation with her coworker. Then she did not know anything about the fridges and told me the information she had was on the label. Ridiculous.

We went to buy a replacement TV. We were met in the department by Bryan. He asked a few questions about needs/preferences. He suggested we could gather a larger screen than initially planned. We had good experience with Samsung. We were out the door in 15 minutes within budget.

This Best Buy Peoria Location is NOT taking any phone calls at this time! I wanted to talk to sales person directly about buying $1500 oven. I live an hour and a half drive (3hrs. Round trip) from this closest Best Buy so would like to talk to someone first. I realize the pandemic has been a problem but we are just about into April 2021 and I can’t imagine the store is not taking phone calls. I do not know if they are closed for remodeling or what issues are since I am too far away to pop over there. I find it odd they are not taking calls and the message will transfer you to a national Best Buy call center-That doesn’t help me locally tho!
Young lady who helped me purchase a new laptop was very helpful and knowledgeable. Didnt push me to buy something priced higher than my needs.

I went to best buy in Peoria Illinois. If you know what you want, great. But you cant find what you want they point over there. And you have to figure out which display theyre talking about. I got the only thing I wanted nothing more, cause couldnt find anything else. Dont bother calling cause you wont get any customer service just a computer and when it finally calls the actual store no one will answer the phone. I had a simple question to ask but no one would answer the phone. I waited 9 minutes the first time and 8 minutes the second time. What ever happened to real customer service? Businesses rely on computer system any more. Theirs no one on one human customer service anymore on phones. It sucks!

Geek Squad is well worth the annual subscription price. 5+ years of superb, knowledgeable service have me recommending them to everyone. Store ISa bit pricier than Walmart, BUT Best Buy has the quality sales people who are missing everywhere else.

Aint what it use to be. Went looking for some car speakers foe my doors and found the car stereo section was relegated to a small corner. The has some speakers up on a high shelf with no price listed anywhere. Mostly empty shelves. I could have just bought anything but why?.... So I went back out to the parking lot and ordered them from someone els off line. But to be fair, most of the stores in Peoria are not what they were......

I went down for a camera they shut the timer was out of stock they didnt have no cameras he gave me the backup battery for the camera but then he said he didnt have the camera. So I put the camera battery back why would I need it if they didnt have any cameras, I wanted to Target and found the camera and a lens, 30 to 700 mm all for $643. Went back three days later to buy the battery return the battery and they couldnt even help me order one online whatever I tried calling East Peoria Walmart. Thats pretty funny because I am theyre not taking calls they send you to a major switchboard whatever I dont think Ill ever deal with Best Buy again they dont have anything theyre out of stock.bad expensive 3xs there.no cameras.
Very poor customer service!!! I placed online order for curbside pickup, I drove 1 hour to pick up order, then one of my items was not the size I had ordered. I then went inside, I had tried to avoid that with autistic child accompanying me, to exchange item for correct size. I was then told I would need to come back the next day because their system is slow. I explained I live an hour away and the size I need is $5 cheaper, I would be willing to take the loss for even exchange, not wanting to go back. I was told she cant do that, i need to come back. I am furious and plan to return all items purchased tomorrow. I will take my business elsewhere!!!

Theyre really helpful and got a lot of good nice things that aint junk like Walmart and most other places I would go to Best buy any day of the week I would choose Best buy over any other store if they have groceries I live there
Purchased a phone because it was labeled as compatible with cricket wireless, and was also told by the employee that it would work. Took it to cricket wireless directly after and after trying to get it to work, said that it would never be able to make calls on their network and that I was lied to. I tried to return the phone to the store to get a different brand around the same price range and was told that the $45 restocking fee applied. I tried to argue my case that it was false advertising, and that I was lied too multiple times about what I was purchasing but to no avail. I left the store with no phone, and $45 stolen from my bank account. I will NEVER shop here again. They are straight thieves.
Next to useless, as they no longer answer phone calls at this store. Theyd rather have you speak to someone 500 miles away. In many instances, nothing beats walking into an actual brick and mortar building.

Best Buy has been my favorite store for many years. Unfortunately I have seen it’s decline as well. In the past I have gone to Best Buy and came out with exactly what I wanted, a happy costumer. Now I go in and see empty shelves, out of stock items (endlessly), and weakening customer service. Display items are either out of battery or don’t work, and the store isn’t well organized and maintained. Really sad to see.
At 1115 there was a long line for the Geek Squad. When the two customers in front of us attempted to get some kind of help the young man basically blew them off, stated they were triple booked and we were to go online and make an appointment. When the gentleman tried to explain he went through all the steps online to only be told there was an error and the appointment could not be made the employee simply told him to try again, there was nothing he could do. The employee pulled a couple from the line that did have an appointment and walked off. It wasnt until we went to the counter to speak with another employee, who was able to make appointments for us with no issue, did the first employee come back seemly to correct the problem once he was called out to his co-worker. Maybe the guy was a supervisor and that motivated him to actually attempt to address our issues. Best Buy needs to train their employees better and maybe even hire more to handle the issues the Geek Squad has to handle.

I dont understand the business they are frequently willing to lose. In the Age of Amazon, youd think they would be clamoring for business. Heres an example. They have a price match policy. Great, right? Target had a game and I wanted them to match it. Sure. Wait a minute, its out of stock in Peoria, but in stock in East Peoria. They refuse to match because its out of stock right down the block. I pleaded my case but to no avail. So I elected to drive to EP to save ten bucks, mostly on principal. This is not the first time something like this has happened to me.Also, management can be extremely rude and unprofessional. I wont name names, but glasses and a crew cut prefers to run customers out the door rather than keep them. If I can avoid coming here, I do. Sadly, I only use this place to see things in person, then buy them from Target or Amazon. Customer service goes a long way to achieving customer loyalty and they lack it in spades.Two stars only for their BB rewards program and infrequent, worthwhile sales. Check things out here, but dont buy them here. Theyll be out of business by the end of the decade.

I do a lot of deliveries for Best Buy through a third party company. the employees are really awesome and very nice its always a wonderful atmosphere and makes me want to go back again and again.
This is in regards to there audio installation group. They didnt install my 12 subs properly or my amp, they couldnt even tell me what watts the amp was pushing like what? If you actually want someone that will tell you and help you with your audio equipment, Id HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GOING HERE!! They will try to up sell you there stuff that is half the price online. Basically if you want to get robbed and have them do half the job then look no further. The only reason Im giving this a 2 star is because they said if anything goes wrong they will fix it for free so we will see. But as of right now I have to install my subs properly and completely put my amp together (because they left piece in the box) all after I paid them almost 300 bucks. Unfortunately Im stuck using best buy for my car audio equipment. Dont make the same mistake as me.

I always go to Best Buy for my electronic needs. They make sure you can make an educated decision on which product meets your needs and they have a wide variety of brands to choose from. I feel like people think Best Buy is expensive and thats just not true. Did you know that Best Buy will price match Amazon?

Purchased a Vtech IS8151-5 cordless phone system from in-store. Was able to compare systems online before going to the store, and compared numerous models in the store since several were on display. Was also able to receive a price match for the item, so I paid the same price as on Amazon. Very helpful checkout person.
They had the gaming keyboard that I needed.
So far were happy with the open box Dell Latitude 14 7000 we purchased recently for home use.

My husband and I were browsing around and came across some tubs with gaming headsets. In one tub was Kraken X headsets. The sign said 34.99. There were 2 in the tub. Upon check out the price was not reduced. I went with an associate to the tub. He refused to honor the sale price. Saying that someone must have put the wrong ones in the tub. I said the name and everything matched and how would I know they were the wrong ones? He said Im not saying you put them in there. Essentially accusing me of doing it. I asked for the manager and he said he was the manager. I worked retail for 15 years. Im completely disappointed in the managers behavior and total disregard for customer service. We wont be buying the 85 in TV that we were thinking of buying from Best Buy.

Went to Geek squad for them to look at my tablet, since I didnt buy the service protection they are unable to look answer why they can not fix it, was willing to pay up to $60 to have them fix it.Same trip I ask If they had an Ifixit kit, last last aisle on the right, was all I got out of 3 employees, so not big on fixing things unless you get there up sale, and dont want you trying to fix things yourself. Come Best Buy Im not looking for a GPU/ or next gen console just to fix something.

When I asked about the item I was looking for the sales man brushed me off and said they didnt have it then tried to sell me a new phone for $500. I went to the back of the store and found the accessory, a usb-c to hdmi hub that I was looking for. It was $60. Im sure the sales man was doing his best but do your own research. :)
Big improvement over the Best Buy experience 10-15 years ago. Theyve come a long way, now becoming competitive pricewise with other electronics retailers like Newegg and Amazon. Improvements with their customer service now make me more likely to shop with them than the alternatives because I know returns are painless.

Went to Best Buy today to buy an mini SD card. When I went up to the cash register to pay for the card the price 15 dollars than what was marked for. I told cashier I will get different one that was less money. So I got one that was $12.99. When I got to the cash register it was $17.99 . I was frustrated that prices were wrong and cashier didnt honor the wrong prices. Best Buy get your price right..
Over priced products all around. Whether it comes to phones, gaming gear, or computer parts 99% of the time you can find it cheaper online. The employees are not very helpful, and most of the time it feels like they are trying to upsell you on whatever they can. Some even have limited technology knowledge, which is not something you would expect out of a larger corporation.
This was probably our worst visit to best buy. The cashier admitted she was new, hardest checkout ever. 25 min for two transactions. We had to ask for bags, to put our paid items in. A few of the staff were extremely helpful, others just walked around, damn near clueless and lost, they kept referring us to other staff. This visit was definitely a *Hot Mess* Disappointing, considering we drove 2 hrs to come here. 😶
So much to see, we have to come again.

My store experience was exceptional. Only bad thing was that I came in to buy one item and walked out with 5 items. I really love coming to Best Buy and shopping. Aaron helped me with everything I needed I think he went above and beyond what he needed to do which was fantastic. And then the girl that works in the TV and stereo department helped me a lot to she is very very knowledgeable Im sorry but I cant remember her name.
