Small souvenir shop that carries a good selection of items. The prices are more reasonable than the other shops in the area. The shop is clean and organized. The outside is lovely. The owner will answer your questions and provide you with information. The hours online do not match the hours that the shop is open. Call before you go.

Excellent selection of souvenirs and locally made candies. Loved the chocolate covered pretzels. We spent about half an hour browsing and another half hour talking with the owner. Not your average tourist trap, the owner is smart and shared a wealth of information about the sites, neighborhoods, colleges and history of the city. She even shared the six degrees of Kevin Bacon and Philadelphia story. His dad was a city planner who made sure the SEPTA stop near city hall was named for the Robert Indiana Love sculpture. We walked in as strangers looking for souvenirs, and left with warm memories feeling like family.

Best prices by far compared to all the main tourist locations! Same souvenirs but better prices, plus great customer service! A must stop place for gifts/souvenirs.

What a wonderful gem. This gift shop is conveniently located close to the common attractions in old historic Philadelphia. Youll find a lot of the same souvenirs that you would at Indepence Visitor Center and other local shops, but Xenos has much better pricing. The shop also has various other neat items and even a sweets section. The owner herself is extremely humble and kind. She has lots of knowledge of the city and must see/visit places. My husband and I were very touched by her kindness. Tina, we enjoyed talking with you and will definitely stop by again next time we visit!

BEYOND rude. The women behind the counter disrespected me friend and I’m from the moment we entered the store. We were not given a welcome, “hi”, or even a nod.Once inside the store, the women reprimanded me for looking/ touching items. We were never offered help to prevent us from touching to the fragile items. We both left with discuss. DO NOT SHOP HERE.

The owner was so nice to my family and I. It was 6 of us and she helped each of us individually including helping me find a color hoodie that went with my shoes. She spoke to each of us and even told us which location of Tony Lukes to try and where to go in New Jersey since we were traveling to New Jersey next. Her prices were reasonable especially for the area and had everything that you could possibly want. Definitely check her shop out if youre in the area.

Very disappointed. My girlfriend and I came to this place to get our souvenirs for our Philly trip… My girlfriend opened up ONE folded shirt and the shopkeeper asked her not to open the shirts because she’s working by herself and the smalls are on top… even though the top/opened shirt was a large.If we had opened up a couple shirts and she said something then okay, I understand. However, it was the first shirt… So if you like to look at clothes before you buy them I recommend you bring your business somewhere else.

On Thursday, we were on Chestnut St. and South 3rd St, across from the Museum of the American Revolution, when I noticed a souvenir and gift shop named Xenos. I needed postcards, so while my hubby rested in front of the museum, I shopped.Tina was helping clients get a lay of the land (she missed her calling as a tour guide) and I browsed and noticed what a nice collection of Philadelphia souvenirs she had.When I checked out, I asked how late she was open (til 7:00 pm) and we came back before our dinner reservations nearby.Tina is a joy, full of helpful tips and local info. I can’t express my true appreciation for a store clerk like the one in this store. I believe her name is Tina. Well we’ve been in Philly for over a week now and she is the most genuinely and amazingly nice Lady!!! She doesn’t care about the color of your skin she treats EVERYONE with respect! On my recent trip to Philly I needed gifts for our granddaughters, so I stopped in on Xenos Gifts. Store owner, Tina, helped us right away and guided us to some LOVE T-Shirts. She couldnt have been more friendly and personable. The place had everything, including the Liberty Bell, just not the real one a mere 3 !/2 blocks away. Next time I find myself on the 200 block of Chestnut in Philadelphia, nothing will stop me from buying a pound (or two) of Ashers chocolates. Thanks Tina. You really added enjoyment to our vacation. I went to this shop today for the second time during last 3 weeks to buy more souvenirs for my friends. I arrived at 16:45 and the lady did not even greet me back. After 3 mins of checking the shop, I started to look through a basket full of small gifts to pick the best ones. I was asked by the lady if I needed help, so I replied that no, thank you, I am just deciding which design I ll take. Then she told me that she wants to have a lunch and that I should go. I thought I misheard, so I asked what she said, and she said: We open tomorrow, bye. So I left, it was not worth to argue. The first time I went to the shop was similar, she did not even greet me and my friend when we entered. It is a good place to buy gifts, they have a lot of things, if they let you buy them...

My friend and I stumbled upon this store and Tina was super sweet!! We talked for probably 20 minutes getting to know each other and she was so kind, giving advice on places to visit and places to avoid as a safety precaution. I was in Philly for three days to see some friends and as customary wanted to get a little souvenir to commemorate my trip. Most of the gift shops in Old City and around the area have more or less the same thing. I mean, I visited 12 gift shops including the ones inside all the terminals at PHL and didnt find anything original.Over two of the days, I walked into Xenos Gifts three times: The first time I was browsing; the second time I came to buy but had no cash (￣ー￣); and the third time I bought my souvenir with a short but memorable conversation with the owner, Ms. Tina. Upon transaction, we exchanged experiences about travel in the city and abroad, the best Philly Cheesesteak (I can agree with her choice!), and her stories of business ventures and blunders. A talk like this with no line behind you is something that really is special for the whimsical traveler.To Ms. Tina, thank you for providing not only an array of products for those visiting Philadelphia but also for being so kind and informative. Big cities need more people like you! Although my cheesesteak magnet is now one of many on my fridge, the fuss I put myself through to get it over my short stay and our little chat now makes it more special than all the others. Cheers!

I dont know what lady everyone is talking about thats nice. We just came from there and super rude lady was working there. Instead of buying something, we quickly left because I had 2 kids with us and I didnt want them to hear how she was acting/talking. But if you do decide to go here, dont touch anything, dont carry a conversation, dont even bother.

The staff lady was really rude. My husband and I were the only ones in the store and and we were just looking around at the souvenirs. The staff lady asked us twice if we needed help, both times we said “no, we’re just looking” but the second time after we responded she told us “you need to leave, I’m closing the store, go, go”. This was at 5pm and according to their google maps site they close at 7pm.Such a bizarre experience.

I went to buy some magnets etc. on Halloween this year. I can’t put in words how helpful, lovely and great was Tina!! She welcomed me and my partner with open arms and spoke to me about few topics. Fantastic store with low prices and very friendly owner!My mother had visited me and was looking for a souvenir shop to buy some Philadelphia merchandise. When we came across this store, the owner met us at the door. She chatted with us about the history of the city and neighborhood, and she told us where some good restaurants were that were nearby. She even helped us pick out gifts when we werent sure what to get for our relatives. I will definitely go back here when I have family or friends visiting me again.

The young lady who ran the store was absolutely fantastic. She answered our call to see if her store was open and she was the only one who answered. And apparently the only store open on a Sunday. She not only allowed me to bring my dog in but she gave us great pointers to visit while here in Philadelphia. She was the friendliest person we have met on our trip! I love this gift shop!! We live in Germany and many years ago I bought a cup in NY as a souvenir for my mom. Last week the cup broke and my mother was devastated. This gift shop was the only one we found that selled the exact cup online. Shipping was super quick (less than a week from the US to Germany) and the cup was wrapped very safely. Hands down one of the best places we visited on our trip to Philadelphia! we stopped by to check out her collection of Rocky clothing. I had the intention of only going in to pick up a few souvenirs which would of taken about 15 or 20 minutes only to be surprised that an hour an half passed by. She was amazing. Reasonably priced and huge selection. The store was well kept. I had a really nice experience there. I recommend going there not only for the souvenirs and candy (which she let us try before buying) but for the warm welcome and awesome conversations.

This little souvenir shop is special because Tina, the owner and shopkeeper, rocks. I went in as a tourist. Im in Philly for a conference and I have to do the dad thing and get my kids presents from my travels. I probably looked through her stuff for 15-20 minutes before I finally asked for help. Thats when Tina sprang into action. She asked about my family, asked what my kids liked, and then she started going through what she had. I had picked out some okay gifts, but she found things which were much more like what my kids would like. If I would have done that immediately, I would have saved time. Then she asked me what I wanted to see in the city. Before I knew it, she was circling things on a tourist map and telling me when I should go and what most tourists miss.The shop itself is fine. It is filled with all the souvenir paraphernalia you could want. Tina is what makes it amazing. She cares for her customers and I hope every tourist stumbles into her little store. Shes a special lady.
