After a very long day I needed some ice cream with all the chunks!!!! Got to the window and said listen I dont know what is on your menu but I need chocolate with lots of chunks to chew. She chuckled and told me all my options with a friendly smile. The ice cream was rich and the oreos, peanuts, chips ahoy, and drizzles hit the spot! All of right in the world again. 😄 Somerset Splits is out here changing lives. 😋

Awesome neighborhood ice cream parlor! They did a popup at Martha where I happen to work and it was awesome! I decided to bring my family in this past Monday and everything was great! We had a traditional banana split that was to die for! And an additional scoop of peanut butter swirl ice cream! Jay was awesome too! Super friendly guy!!!!

My family LOVES somerset splits. They have the most delicious ice cream and the friendliest staff. My 2.5 year old son requests “splits” almost daily. Make sure you try the Stocks Strawberry Sundae as you will dream about it nightly.

My ice cream was good but I asked for it in a cup.. they gave me a cracked cup which I didnt notice until I left and was too far to turn around plus it was close to close. I had to toss it because I wasnt going home and I had nothing to put it in. I left a message on their instagram (because I know they update that frequently) asking if I could come in for a replacement being as I only got to have a few bites before it got so messy that it was all over my new white shorts (ruined) and my car seats (which stained) .. no reply. I would have came back every night because Im an ice cream addict.. but they couldnt even so much as reply.

Somerset Splits has my heart, their ice-cream was SO good! I visited the shop during a heat wave with my sisters family and let me tell you - it was a magical experience. I got a plain cone (Im a traditionalist) and they kindly offered me a cup to help grab any drips since it was so SO hot outside. My sister got some other-worldly banana and peanut butter combo - I think it was an ode to Elvis - it was so fantastic and the flavors were very fresh and unique. My brother in-law got a malted shake, it was huge and also very tasty. We left the shop with bellies full of ice-cream but we also left knowing the owners a little bit more - in fact when we saw them on the street later that night, they waved and chatted with us again - truly a gem of a place run by people who care about the neighborhood. I cant wait to go back.

For me, its all about the hot fudge! (too many places just dont even have it)....but Somerset does it right! Plus all the other toppings (all homemade) are awesome. My fave ice cream there is the Salted Caramel Pretzel. I live very close to the place so I will likely be there more often than I should! J and D are very cool and very welcoming.

This is the best Ice Cream shop in the city as it has a very warm and fantastic atmosphere. The owners, Jay and Dee, are amazingly fun, creative, easy going, and as sweet as their products. You cant go wrong when ordering, from the many Philly inspired sundaes and shakes to just a simple scoop of Vanilla, Chocolate, or Strawberry, Somerset splits does it the best.

Really cool owners and the ice cream is so good, with fun sundaes and shakes. Cute atmosphere and it’s only $3 for a good-sized one scoop on a cone. My husband and I are so stoked to have a great place like this in Port Richmond! (Trying really hard to get my husband on board for a weekly ice cream trip routine.)

I just want to start of this review by saying the people working here are very nice.I went here for my first time tonight after hearing about this new ice cream place in the neighborhood. When we walked in we were greeted very friendly, and everything was nice and clean. But then we looked at the menu prices, wow! Just to give you an example, it’s $5 for 2 scoops. Regardless of the menu prices, it’s a small local business, so I can kind of understand, and I’m rooting for them to succeed.Me and my Gf both ordered sundaes. And after waiting over 10 mins for them to search through all their ice cream for vanilla, even though the person was told all the vanilla was downstairs in storage, someone finally went and got the vanilla. Then it took another 10 mins to start making our sundaes. Also, there was only 1 person ahead of us, and they got a milkshake which was done as soon as we ordered. Finally when 1 of our sundaes were made, they gave it to someone else, and announced it to everyone in there. So after almost 30 mins of waiting for my ice cream, I cancelled my order. My gf did get her sundae and enjoyed it, but $7 was very expensive for a 2 scoop sundae.I’m not giving them 1 star because my gf did like her ice cream, regardless of price. But I am giving them 2 stars for making us wait so long, and giving my order to someone else.I am really hoping to go back again soon, and give them another try. After that I will edit my review if everything goes better than this time.
