Had a leaky water pump replaced here. I was charged 4-5 hours of time for the repair, which is overkill for a quick 1-2 hour job. When I got the car home, I noticed a bracket was loose and hanging in the engine bay. The bracket was missing a nut securing it. I had a spare so I fixed it myself. A few thousand miles later the pulley fell off the water pump they replaced and shredded the serpentine belt. This left my wife stranded and I spent 2 hours in a parking lot reattaching the water pump pulley and putting on a new serpentine belt. Its clear the tech who replaced the water pump didnt properly torqued the pulley or use thread lock on the bolts.The staff is nice but the prices are high and you might get a shotty repair job like me. I dont normally leave reviews but this was my honest experience.

After being to the big auto dealers in Tempe and being largely dissatisfied with the overall service, I decided to try a local business for my next service on both my vehicles. Wassek and his staff blew me away with his personalized care and service. He listened to my needs and concerns and addressed them all. He also did not try to sell me work that didn’t need doing - on the contrary. We took a wait and see approach with a couple of items. All in all it was a very positive experience and I left feeling very satisfied after having both cars fully serviced.Needless to say, I will be going back for my future car care needs!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! I came in with my car and it was leaking coolant from the engine. The mechanic there was extremely experienced and fix it without replacing any parts. Which tells me this DO NOT throw parts. Amazing team, and the gentleman upfront was extremely helpful and very attentive to my needs of my car because I didn’t have much money to spend for fixing. Great shop! Owner has taken great care to have not only great service but a great front waiting room. There are comfy bar stools at the counter for individuals who either have medical needs or are elder, so they can rest. He cares about cars, and customers. WIN WIN. He has a drawing hung up by a kid with a bunch of the the car emblems (including Corvette, nice job anonymous kid!).

Great family owned local business that I am very glad to support. I was told that brake pads were bad and needed replaced so I went here to have it done. Just when you thought every car shop is out to get you. I brought my BMW here and unlike every other shop (even next door) giving me a $3,000 bill and said that is the way it is; they understood my needs gave me honest options. Between the owner being there and directly talking with you directly and the mechanic showing me the actual problem I have never felt more comfortable in an auto shop. A caring staff is hard to find, so great job. This place will be around for a long time.

I brought my 2001 Honda Accord to Xpress and they switched us from conventional oil to synthetic oil due to my high mileage and the fact that i drive so much. They were honest and upfront with pricing and called to make sure i wanted my air filter changed (it was black). Great mechanic shop!

Had an oil change done over the weekend. Was expecting a long wait bc everyone is getting oil changes done on weekends but it took only 30 minutes! The guy didn’t try to up-sell me on anything else. I even asked if I should use synthetic. He took the time to research my car and went to Toyota’s website to see their recommendations and Toyota said standard is the way to go. Called me when it was ready, was a breeze. Great business.

Everything started off great, they were willing to get my truck in right away and finished in less than 2 hours without having an appointment. I was having an issue with a loud noise coming from the front driver side tire and with every rotation you could feel it too. They told me the control arms and my shocks and struts needed to be replaced and it would fix the noise. Asked to have control arms done and it was still not fixed. Let them know and they said it was the shocks and struts, asked them to drive with me so they could hear what I was b/c it didnt sound like shocks or struts to me. I was told again, its the shocks and if I cant fix them now, to just turn the radio up so I dont have to hear the noise. Took it to another shop down the street and before we drove down the street the mechanic said it sounds like a bearing issue. . Oh, and the control arms they put on, they werent even bolted down!! I watched the new shops mechanic turn the nut by hand twice and it fell off. Sure enough, bearing was replaced and the noise disappeared. UNACCEPTABLE!

I had 4 shocks replaced along with two new tires installed on my SUV at a lower cost than Big O right next door. Smooth all the way. Stellar customer service. The new owner, Wassek, goes out of his way to make sure the job is done correctly, in a timely fashion and priced right.

We dropped my husbands vehicle off on Sunday evening for the repairs to be done Monday morning. We put the keys under the mat as instructed. The next morning wy husband gets a call from the repair shop asking if he had left his hood open and taken the battery with him. I find it absolutely absurd to think we would do that. They would obviously need to turn the vehicle on to move it into the shop. The biggest insult was that they then charged us for a new battery. The theft had obviously happened on there premises and then charge us for it. The repairs were good. I will not be able to recommend your business for the fact that I can’t say you have a safe place to leave a vehicle for said repairs.

CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH. If I could give negative stars, I would. Today (10/6/2014) I drove by Xpress Automotive & noticed their sign $9.99 oil change. I thought, Wow! What a great deal. So, I go inside for an oil change. Immediately, I am told, Your vehicle calls for synthetic oil. Ive never heard this before, but took the guy at the counters word for it since I like supporting small businesses in Ahwatukee. I ask the guy how much extra that would cost and he stated, That will cost double. So, Im thinking, No bid deal, that would come out to around $20 bucks and proceeded with the service. Here is the shocker. When I check out, the guy says, That will be $75.15. I almost fell to the floor with a heart attack. Im not a mathematician, but double $9.99 means $19.98. $75.15 is SEVEN times the amount their big sign in the front advertised - Bait and switch big time!!! I am furious and will never step foot in that place again. I encourage everyone else to do the same. I feel like I got sucker punched in the gut. THAT IS THE MOST MONEY IVE EVER PAID FOR AN OIL CHANGE IN MY LIFE. How much did this business pay to get the Best of 2012 Foothills award!!?? What a scam!

Brought them my 1968 pontiac with a bunch of brake issues. They worked quickly, kept me posted on the progress of the work and didnt try and sell me on things I didnt need. The price of the repair was more than fair for the pain in the ass it was for them. Highly recommended.

Went in for an oil change, pulled up, got out, nobody was there. Looked in the office, waited 20 min. and nobody. went back out into the garage and found a guy finally. Asked if I could get an oil change and he told me to come back at 3:30 because he was busy; mind you no other customers were there or any other vehicles and it was 11:30 am. The man was very rude and lacked any sort of customer service. I left and went down the road further to get an oil change. It is very unfortunate that the only place to get an oil change in the Foothills has such poor service.

My 2006 Buick LaCrosse was leaking red fluid under the engine area. So I took it in my trusted community auto repairman (Waseek) at Xpress Automotive to check it out. While I waited his technican showed me that it was caused by a crack in the thermostat by-pass pipe.While he was replacing the cracked part he noticed that there was a severe crack in the serpentine belt (which they say is the heart of the engine). It is used to drive multiple devices in an automotive engine, such as an alternator, power steering pump, water pump, air conditioning compressor, air pump, etc. So needless to say, glad they noticed and fixed what could have been a major potential problem.Once again, I must give accolades to Waseek and his crew. If you have automotive needs I would strongly recommends Xpress Automotive. Don’t let the name fool you, this is not a Jiffy Lube operation.

I came to Xpress with a broken A/C. Wassek and Kenny explained to me that the damage sustained in a crash ruined my condenser and slightly pushed my radiator in. When I asked the mechanic, Kenny, if he saw anything that would indicate the radiator needed replacing, he said no which saved me $$$$. Also, Wassek, the owner brought down his price to match an estimate I got at another shop. I finally found a mechanic I can trust and a shop that is honest, friendly and fast!

I have a 1964 Buick Electra 225 which initially appeared to have a starter motor solenoid problem. Turned out it was a disconnected relay switch. Rob (mechanic) took me through the process of assessment and handed me back the part I purchased for install. Long story short I would pay double what I actually paid, for the quality of experience I had - and my Buick is back on the road. Thanks so much Wassek & Rob.

Very disappointed with the service received. Took vehicle in due to mis-fire resulting in need of tune-up. Was quoted for tune-up and oil change and the amount was higher than I had expected and ultimately could afford right now, so I declined service at this time. We advised we would pick the car up and his response Hope you make it home, we live 2 miles from shop. When my wife went to pick up, they offered to split it into two payments which was nice of them, so we agreed for to have them complete the tune up. When the 2nd payment came out, the total was much higher than I expected. The invoice was emailed to me and they had charged for the oil change too, even though we did not authorize and explicably told them to complete Tune up only. When I called, Wassek was very defensive and argued that I had authorized it, then he switched and said it was my wife. Additionally, when an oil change is done, typically you get the little sticker in the window and the oil life system check is re-set. Neither of these were done, so really no indication was done. After reviewing the invoice, I noticed I was charged $21.99 per plug and $154.99 for the wire set. Same exact plugs at OReilly $7.99 and Wire Set $60.99. Now I understand their is a mark up, but this seemed pretty excessive. So, I called 2 other locations and both places were $100+ less than what I was charged and one of these locations was the dealership.When I questioned Wassek on this his reply was They are using inferior parts... So you really think the dealership is using inferior parts? He had no reply. Funny how the sign out front says We BEAT anyones price. This is shame on me for not shopping around first.Lastly, do not like it when the owner of a business talks badly about one of their competitors which is right next door.Needless to say - that is the last time I will go to XPress Automotive.
