Such a hidden little gem! The selection is super fantastic, and the owner is extremely helpful and nice. The website is great for searching the books you are looking for, and you even have an option to shop online. I highly recommend going and checking the place out!
Great local independent bookstore that has a hit and miss stock of used books – but is an old school browsing paradise with unique nooks, seating, and literally stacks of books to peruse. The amount of recent works from published local authors is incomparable. As indy as it gets, a true gem!
Dog Eared Pages is a hidden treasure that all book lovers need to explore. HUGE selection of all books. Owner was super helpful and found just the book my daughter needed for school.. Please support local, buy local and keep a sweet bookstore in business.
This is absolutely the cutest little shop! The owner was so helpful and we were able to leave with 5 books that we were looking for. Definitely gives that cute old bookstore feel, but is much bigger than I was expecting from the outside! Will definitely be back for more books
SUPER CUTE BOOK STORE YOU MUST VISIT!! GOOD SELECTION! THEY HAVE TONS OF BOOKS FOR COLLECTORS TOO!
My girlfriend and I stopped in there today and the owner was extremely friendly and helpful. They had a great assortment of books. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!!
Wonderful selection at pretty fair prices actually, Im definitely going to be back there
Amazing place and still open! Always can find what I am looking for and even some stuff I wasnt.
I always enjoy a good book store. The smell and the good use of the books on the shelves. Im glad this used book store didnt close. Ill definitely go back. The people are nice and knows the whereabouts of their books on the shelves.
Dog eared is the shop of my dreams. If you are looking for all the new fiction thats out there, this is not the place for you. Its a beautifully curated selection of new and old, with staff picks that are spot on but not in your face. I also applaud their small press section particularly with their poetry collection. Go to shop in AZ.
This is an awesome hole in the wall book store. When you first look at it, its a corner space with not a whole lot of room. But once you walk inside and get through the first room, OMG! Its a book lovers paradise! There is a huge selection of books all neatly organized. The proprietor even has a fairly sophisticated system to help him determine if he has the book you are looking for. This is a place that we will be returning often!
This place is amazing! The perfect place for book lovers. I will definitely be back over and over again! A HUGE selection.
A friendly owner and a nice clean shop with shelves overflowing. Everything from the 50 cent soda to the lovely smell of old books transported me back to my childhood. You can tell this shop is run out of love for books and for reading, and is holding on, somehow, in this Amazon age. It has an excellent selection of genre fiction, and free cookies.Dont miss this local treasure.
Cute little hole in the wall store. Bigger inside than it looks. Ive always found what Im looking for here. The owner is super nice too!
It may be small, but this place has a lot to offer! My girlfriend and I visited for the first time and the woman at the front counter was very friendly and helpful! She even took the time to give us a quick tour of the stores layout so we had no trouble at all finding what we wanted to browse through. They even have a designated reading area with a comfy couch and chairs. They do a book club and have events pretty regularly at the store for aspiring writers! Very cute cozy bookstore!
This is my ABSOLUTE favorite place 💕 Great variety and great customer service. They have a peaceful &quiet reading area with lots of cozy chairs and an adorable childrens section 😍 anytime I need a book I go to Dog Eared Pages..... Forget Amazon #supportyourlocalbookstores!!
It used to be a great community-centered bookstore (used books). Over the last 6 months or so, it seems the owners have almost given up on it. They still have a ton of used books but very few community gatherings. True, running a used bookstore in todays digital age is very difficult but I cant see how eliminating what made them unique (the various community gatherings) is going to help them any.
If you dont mind paying $25.00 for a paperback book that retailed for $5.00, this is your place. Or go to Good Will and pay $4.00 for 5 hardback books. Its like that.
We are new to the area and visited for our first time. My daughter didnt find the exact books she was looking for, but you never really do in a used book store- its all about luck. The guy working up front was really nice and tried to help us find what we were looking for. She ended up finding some books she really liked, and we got a stamp card so we can get a discount in the future. Im sure well be back.
Friendly service and huge selection. Especially the selection of books on CD which help me on long drives. Plus they take trade backs. I like their system - very fair. Also you can browse on line and order for delivery with very fair postage! Great family owned business.
Helpful and friendly staff who know what is in stock is worth the trip. I was surprised at how large the inventory is because the front of the store appears small. I found some very cool journals that I havent seen anywhere else. Would recommend to anyone who is an avid reader. Prices were great. I also appreciate that they promote local authors at multiple events.
Mel and Thom are the greatest people you could ask for. This place has such an expansive inventory, they have local crafts and goods from independent sellers, and it has a wonderful atmosphere. I have been coming here for decade and consider them like family. Absolutely love them and totally recommend!
Lots of books of all kinds. Well organized. Friendly and knowledgeable help
Fun to browse, the owner was really helpful and we were able to find exactly what we wanted plus a few new treasures. Great for teachers looking for support materials for their curriculum.
Kids loved it. Books are expensive tho
Love this store! You just cant find book stores like this. The owners are always smiling and friendly. I think my favorite part is the feel of it. Old creaky wood floors with a maze of book shelves. Love it!
Been here twice now in the past 30 days. The first time, I was so amazed at how large the store actually is, as you cannot see from looking through the front window that it is about 5 times or more larger than it looks! And they have a lot of almost everything. And with their inventory on computer, they can tell you if they have it or not to save a trip. Prices are fair, and if you bring in books for trade, you get a 50/50 deal on the exchange/purchase with half for your trade credit and half for cash when you purchase a book. The bargain room just off the front counter has a large selection of hardbound books for a dollar. Try finding that anywhere else. They include new books on their lobby shelves and if you buy one and bring it back within 3 weeks it can be exchanged for another at no extra charge is how I interpreted the process. After finding 2 books on my first visit and 5 on my second, I am destined to return. Very nice people own and operate this establishment, and I met both of them on my second visit.
I am the benefit of the doubt type a guy and I’ve been in the store three times now and I can honestly say that all three times were fairly bad experiences. Once I was left with a difference and two other times encountered an older gray-haired fellow who seemed put out that I had a question because he was reading. And then when I asked if they purchased antique books he in a rude tone stated that they had so many books they don’t even know what to do with them all So no he wouldn’t be interested in looking at what I had to buy and I had some really great antique books to rehome. I believe in good customer service and I very very very rarely give anyone below three stars, End it seems strange that I’m one of the only folks giving them such a bad review but it is what it is and I saw what I saw.
What can I say, the owners are very friendly and always ready to help.
The shop is well organized and much larger than it appears from the outside. Even the rare books are reasonably priced.
Great bookstore with helpful staff. They have an electronic inventory, so they can quickly tell you if they have the books you are looking for. Well organized and way bigger than it looks from the outside.
They have the best selection of books ever!! The owners are great too. I could spend hours in there but if your short on time can tell you if they have something where it is and so much more!!
Though its been written already, I wanted to repeat the fact that this is a very charmingly deceptive store front. It appears to be a tiny shop, but inside are huge findings amongst the stacks and stacks of books as you wander into this space. Inviting your imagination on a mini vacation is just the start of whatever time you spend here. Ive visited several times (and I live quite a distance away), and its lure is undeniable. Wish you were near Shea and FLW!!!
Its not just a used bookstore. This place does an excellent job of creating community for writers. They host a weekly writers meeting called Friday Night Writes, where accomplished writers talk about their successes and failures. And every year they have a writing course for children called the Liars Club, where the kids get to write short stories that the store has printed in paperback form at the end. Theres nowhere else to get community like this.
This place is more like a neighborhood. You start hanging out here, and you feel like youre at home. The selection is excellent, and the owners couldnt be more helpful. The various groups that have formed around special interests are fun and informative. I feel like I have discovered in this place a little treasure. Check it out.
Dog Eared Pages is a fun store on 32nd Street in Phoenix. Ive been there a few times, met the owners and had so much fun finding all kinds of little treasures of old books that were no longer in print. The store is very deceiving from outside, but inside, there are rows and rows of books, even some from local authors.Spending time there is like sitting down with a cup of tea and a good book. If youre looking for a book from years gone by and cant find it anyone, I promise you, you will find it here.
A very nice bookshop, something you dont see many of anymore. Wish there was a little more organization, but it is understood with the space and number of employees.
Not easy to find, but worth the effort. They have a huge selection of books in good condition at fair prices. Ask for Melanie. Shes always helpful.
Great little used book store with friendly owners.
I love this store, the creaky floors, little nooks, and smell of books. The owners have events for readers and writers, and were very helpful in finding books on my lists. They even recommended books based on my favorite authors. Cant wait to go back.
I had a few minutes to kill so I Googled bookstores and walked in here. I wish I had hours to spend, I loves me a bookstore and this one is great
Such a great shop. Plan to spend some time as there is a huge selection. Very friendly and knowledgeable owners.
Great selection & service. Super welcoming vibe - We will be back for sure!
Very helpful staff
Dog Eared Pages Bookstore is a happening place. They are really connected to the community and welcome a wealth of arts into their store. I really enjoyed my visit and look forward to visiting again.
Lots of book.but no lighting. It was as dark as night in the store. I had to use a flashlight to find my way thru the maze..
This is a great place to shop for books. The owners are super friendly and will help you search to fullfill all of your book needs. Theyll even search for a wanted book if they dont have it to see if it can be found. I love going there. Looks can be decieving and this bookstore does exactly that. I recommend people go there to find books they want at prices they can afford. PS: They also have a trade policy, too.
This store is packed with all kinds of books at great prices. The owners are helpful and friendly.
Huge selection. Could get lost for days in their maze-like stacks of bookshelves. Highly recommend for book lovers!
😲Wow oh my God I couldnt believe how big the store and how many books were inside their prices are really good I would recommend the store its kind of like the half price bookstore but I like it better!!!😉😀🙂😁
Very nice people, they have so many books and nice little places to sit and check out books before you buy them.
Lots and lots of used books with reasonable prices.
He has all kinds of books and authors in here
We love this place. Support locally owned businesses!
Great service! I stopped in earlier today looking for a few specific titles that were a bit out of their normal scope. One of the owners helped my husband and I scower the section for quite a while until we found it hiding ontop of the case. The whole experence was fun, the owners were inviting, and they have made a customer for life out of us! 5/5 stars from the Kroner Family!
It was not well lighted. I had to ask them to turn on the lights. I was never asked if I needed any other assistance.
This shop seems small in stature from the outside, but looks can be deceiving....its filled with treasures!!! Huge selection, great prices, and awesome people!!!! From 32nd st. it can be difficult to spot, tucked away in the corner of an older shopping strip. Well worth the stop through.
Place is amazing, very big inside, looks smaller from the outside..my girls love that place..
So great and so much larger than it appears.

Great Book Store! Lots of books for children and quite place to stop if you need to do some business work!
I didnt even have to go to the store to get a rude comment. I called and asked if they buy used books, and the person on the phone said no, they have trade credit, and then asked me if I buy used books.
Owners are rock stars. Very helpful.
Used books priced above retail . No good deal. Had to use bathroom. Owner told me it would cost me $100.00!!!
Person working the front desk never asked if we needed help, actually never even acknowledged that we came in
