I am a nursing student at PVCC and our whole programs book situation has been an absolute mess because we used the bookstore but those of us who purchased straight from the source had zero issues. I HIGHLY recommend just going straight to the publisher to purchase. Lippincott offers 15% off your first purchase and you don’t have to wait for the rebate on books like you would if you purchased through the bookstore.
I think it’s really messed up that students have to pay for shipping on textbooks since the bookstore is closed due to Covid! They should be waiving these fees!! & on top if that, there is shipping delays due to Covid! so you will probably not even have your textbook in time to do the required work for your course!
I well admit that the prices here for everything are ridiculous but it is a very nice campus and alot to do and learn from this experience. I do think that this place can get you what you are looking for/or wanting for your future just be prepared to come out of pocket big time. I will say that its a good opportunity that if you have the chance you should definitely take advantage. 3 stars....
The workers are fast, and help everyone in a timely manner. The store is always well organized, making it very easy to find exactly what youre looking for in a short time.
I’ve been trying to get my book for 3 weeks now. The first week the store had technical issues and John was very rude on handling the situation. The next week I came in on Monday at 5:28 in which I’ve explained to him that I’m coming straight from work as a teacher myself to come in time to get the book. He explained that the registers were already closed. Today I came in at exactly 5:30, in which I understand that the book store was closed but I knocked on the window hoping for someone to just talk to. John was there again and denied me the bookstore email saying I could just find it online. I asked if there’s anyway he could just get it for me, he said again that I could find it online. I asked if there was anyone else I could talk to and he said that the manager was too busy... without even asking his manager. I then asked if I could have the manager’s number in which he shut the door and went to ask the manager. John came back and said that he couldn’t supply me with the number or anyone’s email. I’m very frustrated with my customer service in the last three weeks with the bookstore. I’m off at 5 and doing my best to come before 5:30 and the one day I did the computers were down. Also don’t bother with the bookstore email it doesn’t work, so good luck contacting the manager. And to John with the glasses, you literally suck.
Friendly staff. Clean and well organized store. Expensive book prices though .
Great school.. Best in phx area compared to scottsdale and downtown phx. The only thing i would say is bad is the nursing program has a huge wait.
Very friendly and incredibly helpful. Books were a good price.
This place is definitely overpriced, but they always have the materials you need. Customer service is ok. Biggest complaint would be there return policy and how extremely strict they are with it.
Didnt even waste my time here. Called 6 times throughout the day and no one answered!
