Order was wrong occasionally a fee times but usually right and great. I wish the driver would always bring a pen and the receipt for a tip when I pay with card. I almost always order extra cheese and extra sauce and its amazing.

Best Pizza In South Side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know the locals will give you all kinds of different Pizza places and say their better. But I have tried as many of the other options recommended as I can find. Still think this might be the best pizza in South Side. Ive never been disappointed.

Just stopped to see if they did slices. the pepperoni slice is $4. I though a lil steep but its bigger than I thought it would be. thin crust, hot and crispy. a lil greasy but it hit the spot.

They claim they have a Chicago deep dish and it wasnt the best but if you need something quick and on the go on the South Side of Pittsburgh for Fridays and Saturdays, this would be the place to go

Pizza was good, but I ordered a chicken ranchero hoagie and was given a chicken parmigiana hoagie instead. I even placed my order inside at the counter and they got it wrong. Otherwise I wouldve probably given a 5 star.

My new favorite pizza spot. The place I normally go to was closed today and I quickly googled pizza places near me. This place was next in line with great reviews. Everything was perfect down to the phone service, picking up the pizza and getting it home still warm and crispy to eat!....Amazing job all around.Ps. Love the cut out holes in top of the box.

Best pizza in the Burgh hands down. I used to be all about Mineos untill I had a slice from Generros. Make sure you get your pizza with Romano and/or Parmesan extra.(trust me on this). We order from Generros at least 3 times a month but usually more. Good stuff!!

Never ordering from them again. It’s one thing to mess up an order one time but multiple times. This evening I ordered a simple cheese pizza well it came 45 minutes later with pepperoni. I call to let them know. They offered to send another but I was not waiting another 45 minutes to eat. So I asked for my money back. I was told that I would receive a refund within 4 business days. Then 45 minutes later I receive a text from a number I do not know (very unprofessional) telling me that they are coming to get this pizza they messed up. At this point I threw the pizza away and had left my home to get food. So I let them know and they replied okay. THEN another 45 minutes later I receive a call from a different guy leaving me a voicemail that I need to return the pizza in order to get my money back?!? I was never told I needed to return the pizza so I threw it away. Long story short I was initially told I would get a refund, took pictures of the pizza, and threw it out. I have no intentions of returning home and digging in my trash so I will be calling to speak to the manager tomorrow about my refund. You can’t mess up someone’s order and then not refund them? They will no longer be receiving business.

Been ordering off them for at least six-seven years. Best pizza at the lowest price I’ve found in Southside. A few years back, one of their drivers got shot a few blocks away from my house. Two days later, I ordered a large pizza, and the same man delivered my pizza, albeit with some apprehension and bandages on his wound. That’s good service.

I recently moved to the area and saw the mixed reviews, but decided to give it a try. It’s been a few months now and quite a few orders later and Gennaro’s is my go to- this place is great! Their service and employees are outstanding, friendly every time I’ve walked in the door. I’ve tried their pizza, hoagies, appetizers, etc. and have loved all of it, and never gotten and order wrong. Highly recommend!

Food quality just okay. Always delivers cold and late. Just received a delivery 20 minutes late. We always tip well in advance but doesn’t seem to make a difference. Won’t be ordering again. Lots of competition with good customer service and on time delivery.

Staff was excellent! unfortunately I can not say the say about the pizza. I got a large one topping steak pizza and it was not fresh at all. As a matter of fact I wouldnt be surprised if it was a pizza brought back and then they just added the steak and threw it in the oven as the pizza was lukewarm when I picked it up. I know what fresh homemade pizza is and this DEFINITELY WAS NOT just made! They used to have the best pizza but I can see since they moved the quality isnt the same especially for the price!

Absolutely love it there! The staff is always very friendly and social while you wait for your pizza. They also have a pretty wide delivery range (we live right on the edge of that range, over by SPAC). The pizza is always so good, and I think my favorite part is the sauce. Always made with fresh mozzarella (unless you order a New York style), and the pizzas are always warm when delivered. Great place to go to grab a slice. They also make very good Alfredo, and penne a la vodka. Definitely would recommend!

One of my favorite pizza places in Pittsburgh.

I love this place. I used to stumble in there drunk on a regular and still come here every time I come back too visit Pittsburgh since I have now moved. I normally order wings and a slice of pizza ( yes they offer by the slice as well as a whole pie ). The staff are super patient since the vast majority of there customers are drunk out of there minds ( me included ). You know the food is good when it taste just as good as it does when your drunk when you eat it sober. Definitely recommend!

Went in on a Wednesday night about 40 minutes before they closed. The guy at the counter was courteous and took all five of our orders patiently. He said the pizza would be out in 10 minutes; and he wasnt lying. It was quick, but it was so fresh it was piping hot with melting cheese. All the people with me *loved* it and so did I. The flavor and crust was fantastic. It was their first time in but I hadnt been there in a while. Best pizza Ive had in a long time! But great service, too.

I just ordered from them today. I ordered the deep dish pizza and a dozen of buffalo wings. The wings are big which I like, my only complaint is the tomato chunks they put on top of the deep dish pizza its unnecessary in my opinion. Ill be ordering from them again in the near future.AJ in Carrick

Had a wonderful experience Saturday night waiting on my kids to get out of a concert down the street. The people working were wonderful, and the pizza was great.

This place has gone downhill. The past dinners used to be good. The last one I got was not good at all. It was mostly pasta with a tiny bit of sauce.

I Ordered a 2L soda and a large pepperoni and cheese pizza with extra cheese on it when it arrived I was wondering why the box felt so light but I ignored it and went into the house When I open the box there was no extra cheese on the pizza Plus the Pizza dough was extra thin and the pizza was cold and hard!!!! So immediately called them back to fix the problem all they said was they could give me 25% off next time I order when I really wanted my money back because there will be no next time I will never order from them again don’t waste your time or your money 25 dollars wasted

Gross. I ordered the white pizza and it smelled like feet. Most of these positive reviews are from the previous manager. The new management scaled down the pizza sizes and quality. Its pretty much a dominoes now.

I wouldn’t give any stars if I didn’t have to in order to post the review. We ordered a pizza for delivery last night. Upon opening the box once inside, my husband grabbed a slice and put it on his plate. I realized it was a totally different pizza than what we ordered. When I called, the guy asked if I wanted to keep the pizza or bring me s new one, to which I replied that I wanted a new pizza. I specifically told him that I wanted a fresh pizza made and not to bring the one back that had been riding around for 40 minutes. He offered to throw in some mozzarella sticks. 20 minutes or so later, driver arrives with pizza. The other guy calls from store and says to bring the other pizza with us to give back to driver and that he was sending mozzarella sticks with different driver. I explained to driver why there was piece missing. The owner or manager then calls me yelling because we took a slice out of pizza. He was going to have the driver deliver that pizza that had sat in my house for 30 minutes! It quickly became clear that he didn’t make us a fresh pizza but sent driver back to the other house to retrieve my original pizza and Zane to get the one meant for them with intent to deliver it! I don’t normally complain about bad food but this is a practice that is very dangerous to the health of the public. I don’t know who had that pizza or what they did with it while they had it. Not to mention the risk of food poisoning from food that had sat and gotten cold. I am disgusted and appalled that they would do this.

Love the pizza always seems fresh. The people are generally nice. But this time some new woman was working there and her dumb sister was there right next to the counter talking and was VERY rude to me so never paid for my food and just left. Hope this get resolved quickly.

Gennaros has become by go-to pizza place in the SouthSide. The pizza is exactly the same each time I order so I know what to expect. This is definitely football pizza which means its not fancy but tastes good and gets the job done for a day/night of watching football. The hoagies are HUGE. They have to be the best value Ive found at around $11-13 one hoagie is more than enough for 2 people. Personally, I like the ham & cheese along with your standard Italian. I always order delivery and my order always arrives by the time it says once you place the order.

Great people and even better food

I really like this place and go here a lot. The employees are often very nice and attentive. The liquor is fairly priced, as well. My only complaint is that the pizza is pretty expensive unless you go after 8 and with a Pitt ID. The deals on the board arent really consistent either.

I just ordered a steak hoagie from them while at work. My coworker ordered Italian we usually cut them in half and split them. I go to cut mine and theres hair inside. I immediately call them and the ask, what kind of hair is it? Really? Human hair. Then I tell him how I found it and I go to look again I see ANOTHER hair. I tell him and he says, No maam thats impossible can you describe the hair Excuse Me? I proceeded to tell him it was a straight brown hair. And its NOT impossible I have very curly black hair with caramel highlights. I have NO reason to lie. We order from this place ALL the time at work and give them tons of business. He says they will bring another and to hold on to the hairy one. So that was an hour ago, they havent delivered anything. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. When they mess up an order they cant even apologize for it. And they try to make you out to be a liar. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

The pizza is fantastic.I have discovered this place only a couple of months ago and this is BEST place in town. I have tried just about everything on the menu and all of their food is AMAZING! My favorites are the pizza, fries and breadsticks with cheese. The owners are very, very nice and even if you get delivery, the food is delivered in a reasonable amount of time. I recommend this place to everyone!

When my order arrived, everything was not there. The driver called the shop and was told they would send another driver out with my missing item. 45 minutes later I still did not have my missing item and the rest of my food was cold. I told them I did not want the item any longer and said I would take a credit. I was just told the driver was sent out 15 minutes ago with my item. I was only a five minute drive or so away, it should not have take that long. I should have had all my food in the first place. If I would have been offered some sort of compensation for my trouble I would still order from them. But apparently they do not care if they loose costumers.

This is the best delivery in Pittsburgh. The hoagies are always amazing. I get the Al Pacino and my girlfriend gets the Mediterranean. They also have amazing curly fries and buffalo tenders. Dont waste time ordering from any other pizza place in Pittsburgh.

This part of Pittsburgh is really fun and adventurous. The pizza was great, and they were able to make my wife a gluten free pepperoni personal pizza. Inside isnt so comfortable, so we grabbed it and ate at a nearby park.

My buddy and I are always down in Pitt and somehow we always end up at Gennaros, not saying thats a bad thing at all. Always good food and good service. The guys there are always nice and get the food out quick

Im new to South side flats and wasnt sure which Pizza restraunt to order from.. I tried a few in the area that deliver and I was disappointed that my order wasnt what I expected.. Im fussy because of having dental work done so my crust needs to be soft and of course delicious pizza also.. I was very impressed that Gennaros made my crust exactly as I asked... I swear everyone there knows our address now that we order there almost weekly. everything on the menu is fantastic, the delivery is speedy even late night. I cant be a happier customer. We usually order from gennaros all the time atleast a few times a month. Today the food we got had no flavor to it. The soup was cold the fries had cheese on them and cold and soggy, the wings were terrible and the chicken tenders were cold also. Im am ashamed especially because i order alot. They have lost my business. Oh and the delivery driver made me come outside and walk a house down to meet him.

Ordered a steak wedgie, got 2 shreds of steak had to dig through all the veggies that they piled on to see the steak. Couldnt taste nor see the steak. Called and told them there was no steak on my STEAK wedgie and he told me next time order extra! First off why would I order from you again, 2nd why do I have to order and pay for extra steak when there should have been more than two shreds of steak on it in the first place!! To top it off the wedgie was cold when it got here! Dont order a steak wedgie from there youll just be getting a veggie wedgie.

The food is decent, but takes entirely too long. We regularly wait 20-30 minutes for a thing of pasta, which is one of their lunch specials. Its pretty much the only place around to get take-out pasta, though.

The food is really good, but the delivery is awful, took them 2 and a half hours to get here because half way through I called and they had “forgot” about my order because it didn’t pop up on their computer. We ordered the traditional sausage pizza, deep dish pepperoni, and breadsticks, traditional was very good, deep dish had very chunky pizza sauce, but over all good, and the breadsticks were a little bland, but the marinara helped.

After ordering delivery dozens of times Ive decided he pizza is not great and its not bad. Mediocre pizza for a reasonable price delivered to your door. The problem is its inconsistent. Sometimes its really good, sometimes its not very good. I do like the ease of ordering online sometime during the day when I have a free minute and specifying a delivery time. The delivery drivers are well, in a word, strange, but they deliver the pizza, so I guess its cool. I wish I could order Fioris the same way and have it delivered, but I cant, so Ill keep my fingers crossed and order from Gennaros.

Im going to stop ordering from here. I almost always order extra cheese on my pizza; not only do I NOT get it (but they charge me the $2.99 for it!!) but theres not much cheese on it at all. I took a photo of the extra cheese pizza just delivered and I wish I could post it so others can see. Folks, Id rather have the item you CHARGED me for that the free breadsticks you send. And the wings, despite getting the sauce in the side, were wet and soggy. Again. Im done.
