I took in a 3rd generation iPod touch in because I has cracked the screen. I know itβs an older device that many no longer use; however, it was where I kept my music collection exclusively for working out and it is much smaller and more compact than my iPhone. I took the iPod in back in May 2020 after techs at another repair center advised that they wouldnβt be able to find the marching part. I received the runaround from this place month after month after month with excuses ranging from: (1) the screen is delayed; (2) we received the screen but it arrived damaged so we had to send it back; (3) we have installed the new screen but it isnβt working; (4) your iPod was mistakenly sent to the Eastpointe location, etc. Wanting to receive some service for the $60.00 that I paid for this fix, I continued to go back into the store month after month. By the way, although I left a telephone number, I never received any calls with status on my device. It got to the point that I didnβt trust speaking with anyone over the phone so I would periodically go in during normal business hours with my receipt and inquire about the device.Finally, in Nov. or early Dec. 2020, when I made my last visit to the store, the employee (who I had seen about 2-3 times previously named Alex) stated that he received the iPod back from the Eastpointe store. The iPod appeared fix but I wanted to see it operate. Alex stated that the device probably had a dead battery and I said: βDo you have a charging cord? I want to see it turn on.β When it turned on, the screen stayed mostly black with a silhouette of like a circuit board showing in the background. The iPod was still inoperable. After realizing that the iPod wasnβt fixed, Alex began to belittle me and the device by stating: βWell, itβs so old; nobody uses these anymore. Here, fine. If you want, Iβll go find you one like yours; they cost about $30-$40.β I responded: βSure. Youβll let me know when you have it?β He stated, βYes.β You can guess whether Iβve heard from Alex or anyone else from that store. In case you guessed wrong, the answer would be a resounding NO! I donβt feel like going to this store another 5-6x to be given the runaround for this substitute device.Based on my experience, I would advise others to steer clear of this place. If the store was unable to fix the device, I could have and should have been advised of that upfront and I might have either given up on it or gone elsewhere. Now, Iβve paid $60.00 to wait 6 months for a non-working device. This is so unacceptable and such poor customer service. I canβt imagine a place that stays in business by treating customers the way that I was treated.

So, I have really mixed feelings about this place. Overall, I think Id use them again but manage my expectations. I called and asked how much to repair a cracked Samsung Galaxy S10 screen on October 22nd, 2020. The tech gave me a quote that was way lower than anywhere else so I decided to put down a half deposit via credit over the phone.A week goes by and I hear nothing so I call, the same tech I dealt with (I think hes the only one there) tells me theres something wonky with UPS and its delayed. This is what happened for the next three weeks. I had to initiate contact every time and it just seemed like the excuses were getting heavier and heavier. I guess at one point one came in and it was all scratched and then he was going to get it from another store down the street.On November 16th, 2020 he told me it would be tomorrow, November 17th, 2020. Lo and behold I finally get the call Ive been waiting from a manager and my screen is finally in.During the repair the tech broke the back glass and came out and said he had to order a new one to replace the one he broke. I put up some resistance in the form of saying bro and telling him that I appreciated the deal he gave me but the wait times and newly broken screen were pushing it. Dont get me wrong, I wasnt mad that he broke the screen, mistakes happen. I cant repair it, thats why I brought it to the professionals. Heck, I was going to get new back glass in addition to the front glass. I had to wait a bit longer, but it was honestly a non-issue.After telling him I wanted the phone fixed today he told me he could run down the street to his cousins store to grab a new back glass. He was gone and back in five minutes and my phone was completed in about ten...I guess what makes me confused is the fact that it was so easy for him to run down the street and procure back glass but not front? Communication was the key here. If they would have communicated better, I would have given them five stars, I realize that stuff gets delayed and broken, that was never the issue, it was about how they handled it. Just manage expectations if you go.The repair looks great and even with the broken back glass I was in and out in about 45 minutes and it was about $100 less than every other place I looked into.
They never gave me my refund after they couldnβt fix my laptop! On top of that, they broke my laptop even more because they lost the screws to my laptop frame. Donβt go to this place. Thereβs a better shop down the street.
If i could rate this store a -5 i would. I put a $50 deposit on a phone repair that i have yet ro get.This guy messed me around kept telling me it was coming and it nevet did. Very unprofessional and unreaposive to my needs. I wl never be back here and qarn anyone else who plans to go there. Just ridiculous went to get my money back today Nov.2 and he have no cash to refund my money. Im done. But im getting my money one way or another.

This will be my first stop for my phone repair. Everybody else was booked up so I called them as a last ditch effort and Greg was so helpful. He got my phone fixed in the time he said and even threw in a free screen protector.
Dropped my tablet off on June 22nd for a cracked screen. It still worked. A month later I was informed that two employees left and thats why it was taking so long. Was told I would get a call back from someone on the status of it. Never got a call. Called and was told it was ready. Went to the store and it was not and it was completely broken. Wouldnt even turn on. Another week goes by, told it was ready, went to pick it up and it was not. Then I called and they said there was a problem and they would call me back. They have not. I have left to message with corporate twice. Still do not have my tablet.Update! Which Igeek asked me to do. I waited almost a month to post this because Im still furious and wanted my anger to tone down a little. They broke my tablet and couldnt fix it. So they gave me a refurbished one that they said was new. Theres a scratch in the screen and the bottom corner of the casing is chipped. They also kept my sim card stating they gave it back to me when I dropped off the tablet. Im surprised by how all this was handled. I had them fix a tablet a few years ago with positive results and was being very patient with them. Until they asked me to edit or remove my review.

Remy helped me with an iPhone 7plus that was bent and screen was shattered, he was super friendly, called for any questions and before he did any work, he broke it all down for me and explained everything to make sure I was okay with the price before he continued. Everywhere else was telling us that the phone couldnt be fixed.They did a great job, very fair price and great customer service, plus a 90 warranty. Outstanding customer service. I walked in and was promptly helped even though I was second in line. I explained my situation, and the gentleman at the front counter wasted no time explaining my options promptly and to the point, including cost.I got my iPhone 7 Plus screen repaired in and out for $115.00 (tax and everything) which was leagues better than the competition. Told me it would be 45 minutes.I returned within 50 minutes and he greeted me, walked to the back, grabbed it and handed it to me. Looked brand new and worked flawlessly. Comes with a 30 day warranty as well, which they keep in their system rather than expecting you to hold on to the receipt.I paid, thanked him and left. All of it was friendly, to the point and professional. 5/5 I tell all my friends to go here.
They open at 10 so went there at 10:20, door was locked... waited another 15-20 minutes calling the number but no answer VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Quick google search brought me less than a mile down the street and was able to get the phone repaired in record time for less than this place charged us in the past!
I have never been to IGEEK, but I will be going there for my electronic needs for sure... called this place and spoke with Greg about a FireWire adapter. He recommended places that I have already checked! He reached out to a gentleman that works for Best Buy, but he didnβt pick up. Although the wait for repair was long it was well worth it. There was immense damage to my phone, and with very technical eye, they were able to repair the device.
I cracked my iPhone 7 and decided to take it to this place. They werenβt too far for me so i decided to try them out. I walked in at 11:00, got out at 11:30. The price was great, and the repair only took half an hour. The service was fantastic, quick, and very professional. Mike was very kind when taking care of me, he really seems like he know what heβs talking. Iβll definitely be heading back to igeek if I ever need another repair done.
Went to get my ps4 fixed and we found that there was nothing wrong with it. Then tried to buy the $7 power cord and they tried to charge me $20 for it . Not a good place to go because honestly is the best policy
This place is very nice and helpful I see some of the reviews from years ago are negative but from what I know theyβve changed owners and do everything the people from years ago said they didnβt. Iβd definately give them a chance. But thatβs just my opinion.
Great experience with this repair shop. Took in my laptop to get a bunch of viruses removed. The repair tech mike made it work like it did when i first got it! Hes been a great help and i love the results! Next step is my nephews PS4 that doesnt turn on:)

Visited this place this month, had an issue with my LG G2. The employee there told me that they dont have the part in stock, so I could order and wait for it to come in. I order the part and waited, I guess the part was on backorder, so I had to wait an extra day or two which wasnt a big deal, they put the new part on my phone & now it looks brand new. Have to say the service was wonderful and my phone looks great, so overall Im really happy. I tried to tip the young man working there but he told me there not allowed to accept tips, so I figured the least I could do was write this review for them. Thanks again guys.

Took my phone to metro and they couldnt help. Then I came here where they were able to help me get my info from my phone. Ask for Remy, hes awesome!!
WARNING!!!Took my phone to them to change the charging port. The guy said it was the battery so he changed that. Still wasnt working so they finally changed the charging port. After getting it back the background was flashing so they took it in the back again. Came out and said that they changed the screen which wasnt broke. Then he plunged my phone into the charger and when it turned on the temperature warning was on. He then took it back and came out after awhile and said that there was nothing they could do for me and that something is wrong with my motherboard and gave me back my money. I spent a total of 4 hours there for a simple problem that could have been fixed and now my phone has to be replaced. Oh and they didnt put the inside cover on my phone, also didnt put the screws back in, and put my old screen back on before giving it back.
I brought my iPad in for a new battery. The staff was very friendly and worked fast. When I picked up my iPad there was something wrong with the screen so they took it back to fix it no charge. When I picked it up the second time there was still an issue with the screen so they tried to fix it again. When I picked it up the third time the screen was not glued correct so again they took it back to repair. They said it would only be 24 hours but it took them 4 days. By then I was done with them. They were very kind, but my screen is still not glued on and I can lift it with my nail all the way around. I will not be taking it back to them again.
Such poor customer service, especially when it came to communication. They had my work tablet for a month to fix a broken screen and bent frame. Initially I was told 3-5 days. Every time I called for an update I was fed a new excuse. They never bothered to call ME, I had to be the one calling. The owner tried to guilt me into letting them fix it (after 3 weeks) by saying hed already spent $300 on replacement parts that didnt fit. Just a tragic waste of time.
I brought in my touch screen laptop back in August 2017. The guy said he would call me once my laptop was ready. 3 weeks pass and I decide to call to check on my laptop. He told me that someone from the store sent the part to my laptop to the wrong store. Ok thats understandable.....Now Sept 2017 I finally call them because I havent got a phone or email or nothing from them. For them to tell me they couldnt fix it. He claimed that he called me 2 weeks ago which that never happened. They kept my laptop for 2 months for nothing. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN.

Great experience. I was told upon entering that they were out of white iPhone screens, and regretfully accepted a black screen instead. When I returned, I was grateful to see the guy working (canβt recall his name - this was Saturday 9/30 around 1pm) went out of his way to find me a white screen. Thanks again! Very professional. Terrible experience. The guy opened the store 30 mins late. After fixing my phone screen, I noticed my colors were far less vibrant and I had a big black blob on the bottom of my screen. I had to go back, he fixed it but my colors were still dim. I couldnβt work my 3D touch, I couldnβt even touch half of my screen. I took it back the next day. He opened 30 minutes late again. I even asked a rep at a phone store and they admitted my screen is messed up. Iβm still constantly having problems with my screen. Especially typing, typing this was a nightmare. Just like my experience with this place.
I cracked my iPhone 7 plus this morning and needed a quick fix because I use my phone for work. Walked in and was greeted by Mike. He was very kind and knowledgeable. He took care of my repair in 30 minutes and costed me $79. Will definitely be doing business with igeek in the future.
This place is great. Took my sons phone in after he slammed it the car door. The guys there knew what was needed to get it fix and how long. Went in a second time with something new, fixed it in 30 mins. Both guys I worked with were always happy and polite. Will keep coming here with all my phone problems.

Took my LG G2 there for repair. They did an alright job on the actual phone repair. However they told me the repair would take 2-3 days when I dropped the phone off, but I didnt get my phone back for almost two weeks.If it were just a simple delay in getting the part and I wasnt intentionally misled they would not be getting a bad review. And they didnt fully put the case back together around the plug so I had to snap it back in place to charge it.Bottom line is I wouldnt take anything to these guys for repair unless they have everything in stock and can fix it on the spot.Read on for the long version.I called them the on 1/2/14 and gave me an estimate for the repair. The posted store hours are 10AM - 7PM. I got there at 10:10 AM Friday 1/3/14 and they were not open. I called and left a message, when they finally got there and opened it was after 10:30 (now I was late for work). I dropped my phone off on paid in advance for the repair. They told me the part wasnt in stock, but I should have my phone back in 2-3 days. They said they counted Saturday for shipping so I should have my phone back no later than Tuesday 1/7.On Wednesday morning I hadnt heard from them so I called and told me the part was on back order (I have no idea why they didnt call and tell me this Friday when they ordered the part), but it should only be a day or two extra and they will call me back withing an hour when they find out the exact availability. Several hours later they called back and they tell me they have no idea when it will ship.When I asked for a refund and my phone back they said I could come get the phone, but would not get any refund because the contract says they are not responsible for shipping delays.I found the contract that night and it does say they are not responsible for shipping delays, but if the part isnt available I am entitled to a refund. I called back Thursday morning and they tell me the part has shipped and gave me a tracking number, that was processed the day before, after they told me about their no refund policy.The part didnt actually ship until the following day. They processed the tracking label so they could say it was a shipping delay, so if I came and got my phone back I couldnt get a refund.I was keeping an eye on the tracking and on 1/13 it arrived at the local sorting facility, but I wasnt sure if the part was delivered that day. I called and they told me they will have the part and my phone will be done for sure the next day. The part was delivered on 1/14. I called, but they didnt call back so I went to the store a few minutes before they closed. My phone wasnt ready. They said it was delivered to their other location, but he should have the part in a few hours. I wasnt going to wait around so I went back on 1/15 and got my phone.They did give me a $10 refund for all my trouble, but that wouldnt have been necessary if they had been straight with me up front.

The screen is AWFUL. Nowhere near as fast, sensetive, and accurate (typing, scrolling, etc) as actual iPhone screen. It has a noticeable grey tint, and you canβt see the screen with polarized glasses on.The guy who replaced it was nice and fast though.
These guys are really nice, and do quick repairs. However, Ive twice had the digitizer of their new screens not work well. They guarantee them, but I have no reason to believe the new ones will not fail as well.

My galaxy s7 had the screen completely shattered. I thought I would have to get a brand new phone, I came here got it fixed in 2 hours and my phone looks as if nothing happened. The service was great and very friendly.
Not happy with this place at all. I have been trying to get my daughters phone repaired since June 3rd. I feel like I have been getting the run around with this place. Here it is June 26 and the guy finally calls to say he has the screen to repair the phone. I show up, no more then 10 from talking to him and the door is locked. No one answering when I call. Im over it. Thats rude and bad business. Disappointed and feel my time has been wasted.

I would give zero stars if possible. This store fixed my cracked screen. Soon after my phone went out so I took it to the Apple Store. They opened the phone curious how a new phone could have a bad battery. They showed me that there were missing parts and asked whos repaired my phone bc whomever did stole parts! Recommended I replace my phone.
I had high hopes for this place this morning when i went to try and get a new battery in my phone, it was nice and close, decent reviews.I wish i could review their service, but i waited till 10:05 and they still werenβt open even though the sign clearly says they open at 10am and the Open sign was on.Ill just assume that a place that doesnβt care enough about their customers to open ON TIME likely has garbage customer service and quality.1 star is being generous.I instead drove to 10 mile and Gratiot to Metro Computer Games & iRepair where they have good service, are open on time, and extremely well priced.Donβt go to this place unless your only means of travel is walking and its the only place near, even then, donβt go. Anyone else, do yourself a favor and go to 10 and Gratiot.
Bought a Groupon to repair iPhone screen. Went there and took two hours came out within a day the home button was very loose and not responsive. Went back again right at 10 Am the opening time no one showed up to open the store till 10:15. The guy replaced the screen agaIn but finger print sensor didnβt work because he threw out my original working home button and never told me. Instead told me the BS to rebuild the phone which I did and finger print sensor still didnβt work. The finger print sensor was working fine even with shattered screen. This place seems very disorganized and does not provide honest information and work is shabby stay away.
I have an iPad mini 2 with a screen and lcd broken. After the repair they checked to make sure everything else was in working order. They found another issue and quickly fixed it. I would highly recommend igeek.

Do not go here! I took my I pad here for a broken screen! They said it needed a screen and LCD! Ok fine they had it 2 weeks and said to come get it... so I go in and they said oh the home button was broke the part came in today so it will be ready tomorrow.. so y u tell me to pick it up then? Go back next day they say home button is still not working and they cant fix it? Hmmm and they they still gonna charge me the same price! Needless to say I have a I pad with a broken home button! I would not referee anyone here!

I love this place on my birthday I went here and got the IPhone 6 but my mom and brother got the 7plus we were going through issues at the time and later that day my stepdad abused my mom when she tried to call 911 he smashed her new phone like completely. Once we got out of the house we came back here and they gave my mom a discount (about 9 months ago). I have a question though how much money would it be to fix my front camera. It goes black when I try to use it I think it happend after dropping my phone on the left side where the camera is.

They are the hardest people to deal with. They are never at there building. We called on Monday to see if my computer was done and they keep saying there working on it it is now Wednesday and they have not been there. A call back to say my computer is done or not would be helpful.
