Thats the kind of repair shop or dealership i want to support and keep in my neighborhood.Im changing to 4 from 5 stars because I wanted to purchase prepaid maintenance service contract that comes with wear and tear (wiper blades, brake pads and rotors...) but only oil change every 10k miles is offered to me without the wear and tear. And Im still not given any explanation as to why since almost 3 weeks ago. Im very disappointed. Im hopeful and I look forward to your amazing customer service.Sincerely.

We purchased a 2021 Volvo XC90. On our 1st family vacation at the beach, we broke down. There were no rental cars anywhere along the coast. Jane (GM) and John (service manager) were more than amazing. John actually drove us a loaner car and saved our family vacation - a 4 hour drive after work. Super heros! We cannot thank you enough.
The two stars are for the courteousness and cleaning my car. It cost me $375.00 for a key to be made and my original key was a fob key. I wasn’t told it was an option or different pricing. Expensive for a stupid basic key that doesn’t lock/unlock the car or set the alarm. Really? And no one could return my call to explain this.
Went on for help with breaklight I changed, and code that wouldnt go away.They helped me with my issue, and answered questions about possible maintenance needed on my use Volvo. Everyone was friendly and helpful I talked to or interested with.
Dealership refused to work on my 2020 XC90. I requested to have the hitch programmed and they wouldnt perform the service. Really has taken the excitement out of our new Volvo. Hopefully other dealerships are more helpful.

I love everything about this dealership. First of all they were very quick to respond to online inquiry. When I called someone was immediately available to answer my questions. I told them I work for the vulnerable population and I need to limit my exposure to public especially indoors. They made me apply online, approved my application right away, gave all available incentives - and mind you I really got thousands of incentives as a Volvo loyalist, healthcare worker and their dealer cash incentives- just about all incentives they can offer to customers. When I got there all I needed to do was sign the contract and NO BS. The owner even went above and beyond to verify my license so they can give me the A1 program for frontliners which is really a good program offered by Volvo. Peter from sales, Mark from online sales and Connor from finance were the key persons who made this sale a lock in and perfect deal. I told them this was the most prompt and honest deal I ever experienced in any car dealership.
The entire process was very professionally and completely done from initial contact with Jane Fischer who let me know about incentives from Volvo & Costco ( $1250 Costco incentive). Doran in sales, helped my with test drive, showed me all the available models of the XC60 to choose from. He found the perfect XC60 Recharge T8 Inscription in stock for me - Bright Silver with charcoal leather interior. Delivery time was shorter than promised and Doran spent a time introducing me to all the features including the Infotainment screen & set everything up. Financing was a breeze too and I received even better rate than Volvo was offering at 1.89%. Excellent Service all the way around! THANK YOU ALL!
I made an appointment for my 30000 mile service when I asked about a ride I was told they don’t do that anymore so I’m stuck in the most austere and uncomfortable waiting area I’ve been in. Last time I was told the service would be an hour and it was nearly 4. It’s too bad the waiting area isn’t as nice as my xc90. I hope this wait isn’t like the last time. If I had known there wasn’t ride availability I would have made other arrangements. They need to change their website to clearly reflect the change in shuttle availability Not exactly a luxury car experience in the service department.
My 94 Volvo 850 Turbo started making an awful groaning sound accompanied by a loud squealing sound on a Saturday as I was driving homeI was passing by Fisher Volvo on NW 21st & W Burnside & found that their service & parts department was open, so I went in & asked if they could help meI was greeted by a very friendly woman who listened to me & got one of the service specialists to drive my car round the block to see if they could figure out what was going onApparently the fluid levels for the brakes & power steering wer]e low, so they topped them off for me & checked the other fluid levels as wellWhen I asked what the fee was, I was told there was no charge & to have a nice day!We have bought one of our used Volvo 850 models from Fisher Volvo 20 years ago & it still runs great!I highly recommend Jim Fisher Volvo to purchase a vehicle from & for their outstanding service & the personel who work there!

I brought my Volvo to Jim Fisher for service and was so pleased with the customer service. Originally I came in as another mechanic told me I need d a new timing belt; Jim Fisher service said noooo and gave the Volvo a thorough look over. The timing belt was fine (which saved me almost $700.) Marvin was extremely kind and helpful through the entire process. I was able to get a rental car through the dealership which was helpful as I dont live locally. Ill honestly never go anywhere else again! Thank you so much. Highly recommend.

I bought my third Volvo from Jim Fisher today. I really researched what I wanted and the price I hoped to get, and I feel like I got the deal of a century. I am really happy with my purchase, and I would highly recommend this company.
We just received our 3rd Volvo in 18 years, an XC40. The salesman Mark Jacobs was helpful throughout the process, found the right packages for us arriving from Sweden. We took possession exactly when planned and got an exceptional price with the various discounts. This SUV costs about the same as our 2005 model. Jane Fisher even helped out at the end of the process (with a bottle of wine!) and I recalled how 18 years before she had arranged a free 3-day loaner when our new car needed to stay there. Exceptional all through, as has been the service with Nick Tsytsyn.
Can I give less than 1 star?The worst car experience of my life! How do you have to take a car back to a dealer 3 times for the same 3 problems?? Incompetence and ball dropping, that’s how. Just sold it to a dealer at a HUGE loss 2 months later because of this experience and because Fisher refused to help. Karma people....KARMA!!!

Service advisor was rude and demeaning and spoke to my lady like she was stupid. I own 5 Volvos and wouldn’t take my vehicle here again for anything. Horrible customer service which is unfortunate given local ownership.
I purchased a used XC 90 that came from Jim Fisher Volvo. Recently my SUV was in an accident. Upon impact the air bags deployed. The steering wheel was poorly designed and the emblem exploded sending pieces flying. The triangle piece of the logo lodged into my hand (that wasnt on the wheel.) I ended up needing hand surgery and have some long term nerve damage. I thought Volvos were supposed to be safe in an accident but I dont buy that anymore. These werent the only injuries but are the only ones caused by the steering wheel malfunction.
Great customer service. Only performed work needed. Reasonable fees (except having to buy dealer parts) total bill came in at 2/3rd expected costs.

Nice staff and they do good work. Always get my car on time. Taking away one star because the waiting area for service is not someplace I would want to hang out waiting at, I think you are only expected to drop off and pick up so be sure your car is ready before going to pick it up.

When my car is in for routine service appointments at Jim Fisher Volvo, I appreciate the personal attentiveness and thoroughness of my service agent, Rich. He makes sure to ask and listen to my responses on why Ive brought my car in for service; explains what items the service department will be working on/taking care of; asks if I need a ride (they have a shuttle service for customers), while also letting me know that there is a full-service waiting area available; and he follows up with a phone call (if I am not in the on-site waiting area) to let me know the progress and/or if there are any other issues that are discovered and asking if I would like to take care of those items while the car is in service. Rich is always personable and professional, and doesnt pressures me to make a decision - he is sure to explain things thoroughly so I can make an informed decision. Great customer service = loyal customer.

Ten stars! We recently, actually less than two weeks ago, purchased a new XC60 hybrid. Love the car. We are blown away by the new technology. Anyway, a dash image appeared, and the service manual didn’t give us a clue. We photographed it, and texted the image to Dale, our sales person, who said it was a non-urgent emissions issue, and passed along the service information. However, we were in town in the area and decided to drop by. Dale introduced us to service manager Nick. Within an hour or so our issue was resolved by a software download. Great service all the way around. We owned a Volvo over 15 years ago—we subsequently baled to Acura—and first met Nick at that time. He remembered me! The great service from the Fisher family continues.
My service representative, Chad, is great! He is always pleasant and helpful. And I never feel like he pressures me to do more services than what my car actually needs. Also, after calling around they had way better prices than any independent shop for what I needed. By a couple of hundred dollars. This goes against the narrative that dealerships always charge more. I had a nice loaner while my car was worked on and they washed my car for me, too.

I am basing my evaluation largely on my experience with the Sales Representative, Mark Wanaka. He has been a delight to deal with. He has been very helpful throughout the process and a very pleasant and congenial person to deal with. I hope Jim Fisher is well aware of Marks value to their company.We did not have to negotiate a price for the Volvo that we purchased as we opted for overseas delivery of our car. The price is fairly set by Volvo in Sweden. Overseas Delivery included free, upgraded, round trip airfare for me and my wife, a free night in a hotel, free car insurance (2 weeks)) to drive your new Volvo around Sweden and Europe, and free overseas shipping to the United States. The normal destination fee is just shy of $1000.The Parts Department, so far, has been helpful and does not seem to charge exorbitant prices.We have not had the opportunity yet to utilize, and therefore, comment on their service department. I hope it can approach the standard set by Mark

I called over a month ago and ordered some screws so I could fix my fog lights. I was told the screws needed to be ordered and they could be sent to my home 50 miles away. I was told when they arrived I would get a call and mailing 12 screws would be done. Once I gave my address, I was told the shipping cost needed to be determined. I waited to get another call back, as promised, so I could pay for the screws and shipping. The call never came. How did this get so difficult?Guess I will try somewhere else.
After getting a complete garbage treatment from Herzog Meyer, the service level received from Jim Fisher Volvo and Nick Tsytsyn specifically, it was most definitely breath of fresh air! The car issue was taken care of, and just as importantly, my customer needs were taken care of (transportation while the car was being fixed). I wish 10 Star was an option!

Got my car fixed today.... WONDERFUL service and very fair price. Corey went out of his way to be helpful and answer all my questions. I loved that they had a shuttle service so I was not stranded. I asked to be dropped off in the Pearl District and they picked me up when my car was done. I went shopping and had lunch with my young son. We bought our Volvo here and have all of its service done here. Theyve always done a good job for us and buying the car was simple and hassle free. The service costs can be tough to swallow sometimes but no more than other import dealerships.
Always courteous-they washed and vacuumed the car--wonderful. It was done in a timely and professional manner. Cant beat that. This is a very good service department at a very good dealer.
My family had an excellent experience here buying a trade in 2005 S60, even though we were only going to spend a small amount of money they treated us very well, and even though we ended up agreeing to buy it as is, they checked all the tire pressures for us, topped off the coolant and oil and made sure nothing else needed anything, as well as giving us a good deal on the car and offering to give us a discounted first service. Very nice service from a dealership that is usually selling cars for 7-10x as much as what we paid. Wayne in sales was especially helpful to us.I read a lot of negative reviews from a couple years ago, but most recent stuff seems to be very positive so it seems like theyve cleaned up their act.
We have a 2015 xc60, the check engine light came on. Called Jim Fisher Volvo and from that point on our experience was a great one. Chad from the service dept. was great. Turns out one of the fuel sensors was bad and it was covered under warranty. They did a couple other things as well under warranty. Cant thank the service dept. and staff enough. Thanks again for a great experience!
My experience with your service department was better than I heard it would be, in particular, Mr. Corey Morgan. This man went out of his way to explain to me, everything that I had questions about. Over the years, Ive had many cars and many repairs done but this is my first Volvo, and to be honest, I expected to be taken advantage of like I had been so many times before. Now I feel like I have a guy in the service department that I know I can trust, a guy that I know will see that my car gets the very best care. My Volvo is not my only car so I will be bring all of them to Corey Morgan, no question at all. And, he is an Elvis fan, like myself. Thank you Corey, for restoring my faith in a service department. I just bought my second Volvo, an XC60 from Jim Fisher Volvo. The sales and finance department were friendly, helpful, detailed and put no pressure on me to purchase my new car. The service department at Jim Fisher also does a great job. I took my last Volvo to them for oil changes, tires, body repair, everything. The Fisher family has integrity and class. My next car will be purchased at Jim Fisher Volvo in the distant future.
I was really excited to visit the dealership and could hear the radio commercial in my head as I walked in the showroom —“under the big blue Volvo sign—you’ll love the way we’ll treat you.”There were 5 salesmen that eyed me and my mother upon our entry and they literally looked the other way. When one of them finally made his way over, he was obstinate and would not answer any of my questions. He reluctantly asked me if I’d like to go for a test drive and when I said I didn’t have my insurance card—he told me he could not allow me to drive the car.I walked out. This was a very upsetting experience and one that I won’t forget.
This review is for the service center. I am a first time Volvo owner and I must admit from some of the reviews I was worried about going here. I ended up taking my car in anyway, I am very thankful that I did! Rich and the guys were beyond helpful in fact they provided the best customer service I have ever experienced at any service center.
Thank you for not being the typical car dealership! We have been looking around for a new car for some time and decided to take a look at Volvo for the first time in years. I have to say that the experience was new to me. There was not pressure during the experience and they took the time to really explain the advantages of Volvo. In the end we ended up getting a certified pre-owned car because the cost was so good and the warranty was I think better than a new car!So thanks guys for being so helpful and getting me in a car that works for me!
While I cant speak about thier service departments (where most complaints seem to be coming from) Jim Fisher has the most friendly sales staff Ive ever had the pleasure of talking to. Very knowledgeable and willing to converse, not just push a car on you. We even were had a nice conversation with the owner and got to talk about the history of Jim Fisher.
WORST customer service I have ever seen! Never have I been to a place and a sales person literally runs away from a customer. I was 5 feet away trying to get his attention and he not only ignored me but turned and walked away. Then everyone else who works there hides while I look for a sales person. I have never been treated with such disrespect. This place is an absolute JOKE! We will definitely be buying our Volvo from someone else.

After decades of hearing their mantra, Youll love the way we treat you, Ive owned a Volvo 1 year, been in for both maintenance and service a few times on a 2010 and its really true. They take really good care of me.Theyre hourly rate is lower than Herzog-Meier and they cover the first hour of diagnostic work whereas HM doesnt.They also follow up with me a few days later after each visit just to check in.I highly recommend them
Unprofessional. Completely unprofessional. I would have given 0 star if its allowed. Cant believe Fisher family is letting their employees destroy Jim Fishers reputation in such a shameful way. My 2016 XC90 was rear ended and my first thought was to send it to Jim Fisher since I bought the car there and its the only place I do service. After three months, THREE MONTHS, vehicle still in the body shop and repair uncompleted. During the three months, I called Jim Fisher 15+ times, and they called me only 6 times (a couple just to reply missed calls from me). I expect high quality service when I buy high-end vehicle, not such inattentiveness. Personal change should not be the excuse of everlasting delay. Show some professional management, would you?Before they started repair, additional damage was found and I understand that some problems wouldnt show up until you start working. Right before the final assembly was done, they discovered another damage? Excuse me? What have you been doing in the past three months? Is it not long enough for you to fully exam the damages? The vehicle was in your shop day and night for THREE MONTHS! I was first told to expect the vehicle fixed around Thanksgiving, then before Christmas, then after New Year. Now my only wish is to get it back before Valentines Day. Maybe? Hopefully?Im glad my name will show in this review. Because Jim Fisher would know who I am and I did not lie. Will never go back to Jim Fisher. And never recommend anyone to go.

My review is for the online booking. I had a confirmed appointment, for the proper type of service as well as for a rental car. I showed up at the appointed time to learn that the wrong service had been requested and no loaner car available. I was told the online booking system does not in fact work with the Jim Fisher system, which is why my confirmed loaner didn’t happen.It is only once in a blue moon that I have time during the week to get to an appointment, and i have been told I can’t come in in a Saturday for any diagnostic work. I was offered a loaner down the street, but I would have to get a ride to and from Volvo and it would need to be returned in the evening regardless of whether my car was actually ready.I know this wasn’t my service person’s fault, but I’ve waited for months to have the time to bring my car in, and to be told that I’ll just need to reschedule is beyond frustrating.I can’t be the first person to have had this experience with the online booking, so I do hold Jim Fisher as a business accountable for not taking the time to have a human double check directly to make sure that everything was in order for the appointment. They should have been tipped off when a 10 year old Volvo was showing up in their system for a 15,000 service!?!

Terrible experience with both the sale and service departments. BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!As I am getting ready to sign the paperwork on my new Volvo the sales man tells me I cant take it because it is having some paintwork done. The car was damaged enough that it needs paintwork and they didnt tell me till last minute. What followed was all the bs you would expect at a high pressure used car lot.The service center is equally terrible. You work with one service advisor which at first seems great, but its a huge hassle. If your advisor is not there no one can give you answers on what is going on with your car. Additionally, every time I get my car back from the service department it has new scuffs and scratches. They are small and most would not notice, but you can tell they dont take good care of the car when it is in there shop.

This review is mostly for Doran in sales. He was awesome. Respectful, fun and no hard sell. He just let me and the family test drive the car (not even a Volvo--it was a trade-in RAV4) and asked if he could answer any questions. While the price of the car was not negotiable and I well know I didnt get the best deal ever, what is more important is that everyone I met was respectful, kind and seemed genuinely to want to help without getting in the way or pressuring us to buy. Kudos to the folks we worked with making this a very easy purchase.
The last time I was in half of the service staff did not wear masks. This is dangerous and unacceptable. Before you go in, you should be sure that they have been wearing their masks in the enclosed rooms or you will be exposed.

Took my new-to-me C30 to their service dept. and Nick T, handled everything. His research determined that the 20k service had already been completed so all the car needed was an oil change. He saved me money!
I have called Herzog-Meier Volvo 2x for a part and was promised a call back after waiting on hold forever and being transferred to the wrong department. Jim Fisher Volvo picked up on the first1st ring, got transferred to the correct department AND helped immediately. THANK YOU Jim Fisher!
I went to a different dealership to get a new key phob. They quoted 105 for the phob and one hr labor at 67 plus a software download. Problem is they were a week out. I live 100 miles away so I called around and Jim Fisher said they could do it today and it would be 250. Sounded about right. I get here and checked in. Then Im told its actually 330 and that there labor is 123 hourly. Definitely first and last time I will be here. Worth the wait else where.

Great customer service in the sales department, I’m sad to see that the customer service in the service department doesn’t even try to accommodate an emergency situation. But I’m loving my new Volvo!!
