We love our new dining set!We visited four other furniture stores before we were about to call it quits on in-store shopping. After taking a short break to make a Lowe’s run, we spotted the HomePlace van and figured “ah what the heck, one more shot”. The second we walked in we saw the most beautiful showroom with so many incredible pieces. After walking around a small section of the store, we spotted our table and had to have it. Mike gave us the rundown on the piece and helped us visualize it in our space. He also showed us another table with a live edge that was absolutely gorgeous and gave us options. Mike and Cameron patiently helped us weigh the pros and cons of both tables. We ultimately deciding to come back the following day with a sample of our flooring to make the final decision. They even moved the pieces into different lighting so we could see all the nuances. Cameron helped us find some chairs that were exactly what we were looking for in our budget, and they arrived ahead of time! Mike was so helpful in helping me load the table and bench in the truck and getting everything home safe and sound. We couldn’t be happier with the experience we had with HomePlace and will surely be back! Most definitely recommend.

We stopped by Home Place Furniture & Design after looking at several other furniture stores in the area. Home Place by far is superior than its competitors. Everything in the store is priced very reasonable and is made of high quality materials. Cameron helped us pick out a wonderful dining room table and directed us to many other accent pieces to outfit our new home. We will definitely be going back in the future to work with Cameron. Design person was helpful pricing many bedroom sets in catalogs for me. Took a lot of time to help me find what I am looking for. Couldnt pull the trigger and order a bedroom set I couldnt see, however. And she never called me back!! Was supposed to check out a few things and call me. Commission!!?????!!

While I was initially very excited to be able to support a local business (especially during the pandemic) and find a couch that I was happy with that was reasonably priced, I have to say my experience here has sadly been a terrible one. I saw many more positive reviews about this place than negative, so I decided to be optimistic and take a chance on a smaller outfit. My friend and I went to the store together and that first experience was great, with all the salespeople offering a lot of help and spending the time with us to make sure I found a couch that was exactly what I was looking for. We were so impressed by them at first that my friend was planning to come back and shop for furniture for her new home with them, even though she lives out of state. I paid for my sectional in full upfront (which looking back now seems like it was a mistake) and was told the delivery time would be 6 weeks normally, but that with covid it was increased to 8 weeks (one of the reasons I went with this couch was the relatively shorter delivery time compared to others).After over 11 weeks I still had not gotten a single phone call or update about my piece, so I called Home Place and they offered no explanation or apology (which i didnt think much of at the time, but looking back can see this is where their professionalism started to go downhill), but they checked on the status and said it would be a couple more weeks before it was ready for delivery. They called me a week later saying it was ready and we finally scheduled the delivery for 3 weeks later (though in fairness a week and a half of that delay was due to my unavailability, not theirs).So at this point we are over 15 weeks out from when I ordered the piece. They use a contracted delivery service, and did after much back and forth finally agree to discount half of the delivery fee given the significant delay. I scheduled delivery for Wed, and was told Id be called by the company on Tues night to schedule a time. Instead I got a voicemail at almost 9pm on Monday saying they would drop by on Tuesday for delivery! I called back and was able to reschedule for Wed evening from 6-8 pm, but again, no acknowledgement of any error on their part for the miscommunication. By 7pm on Wed they hadnt showed up yet, so I called the delivery company but only got their voicemail. After a week of not hearing anything back from either company, the next Wednesday I left another voicemail with the delivery company (even though I called well within business hours) and still to date have not received a call back from them. I also called Home Place the same day to find out what was going on and they seemed to have no idea that the delivery had not been completed. They did say they would check up on it for me and reschedule delivery for next Tuesday (which will put us to over 17 weeks from purchase date). This last phone call was a few days ago and I still have not gotten a phone call or update back from either company with any kind of an explanation or confirmation of delivery. I have my fingers crossed that everything will go smoothly next Tuesday (I will be calling both places back on Monday), and will update this review if/when my couch is finally delivered, but its safe to say this has been a more than frustrating experience.I have never written a google review in the past, but given the significant expense of furniture for most people, I felt it was important to make my experience known so shoppers can go in with open eyes, especially after noticing a few more reviews with very similar stories to mine as i was scrolling through today. I understand small businesses have been struggling lately so I have tried to be as understanding as possible about the delays, and while no one I spoke with has been uncivil or rude as such, the lack of professionalism in repeatedly failing to follow up and acknowledge mistakes has really been disappointing. I just hope I actually get my couch and we can end this on a positive note!

After doing much research on what we thought we be a high-quality, long lasting sectional, we chose to go with Home Place. We were greeted by Cameron, who helped us pick out the right sectional for us. She was very friendly and helpful (at the time). We really liked the look of a lighter cream colored couch, but with two young kids, we thought it would not be very practical. However, Carmen went out of her way to assure us that the fabric was specially treated and would not stain or get dirty. She even showed us a picture of her couch (the same one and color we were looking at) in her house with a 2 year old and a large dog. She also stated that we would have a lifetime warranty that came with the couch should anything happen. So with her guidance and advice, we purchased the cream sectional. Within months the sectional not only looked like a decade old, but there were pulls in the fabric and the cording was almost completely flattened and the cushions mis-shapened. Mind you, we kept the couch impeccably clean. We dont eat on or around the couch and dont even allow shoes in our house.So, my husband and I ended up going to Home Place and contacting Cameron. She was very empathetic and concerned and said she would contact Bitwell (the maker of the couch) and at the very least that she would send out her own in-house cleaner to see what could be done along with hopefully Bitwell fixing all the issues with the couch and/or replace it. She gave me her cell phone and I sent her all the pictures she requested of the couch. Three weeks went by and I didnt hear from her. I tried texting her and no response. We went back in to the store where another gentleman said he would have someone contact us. We were never contacted again.We are VERY disappointed in Home Place and Camerons lack of professionalism and responsibility to her customers. We spent a lot of money on this sectional that is such poor quality. We have reached out several times with no response or resolution to this problem. We will never do business with them again and HIGHLY suggest you dont either. You will be treated wonderfully on the front-end but left high and dry should you need anything on the back end.

I have had the worst experience with this place I ordered my couch from Cameron on November 14, 2021 paid in full $3,200 it is now June 18th, 2021 I was quoted 16 weeks, received a letter stating due to COVID and shut downs it would be another five weeks. Fine March/April rolls around every time I call I get quoted a different time frame, I called today and was now told the end of July middle of August. The sales rep that I worked with Cameron completely avoids me and never follows up. I have asked to cancel my order and instead Manager tries to upsell me on another couch and tell me that I cannot just ask for my money back because I have a loner couch which is the cheapest thing I’ve ever sat on and was only offered to me after waiting 6 months for my couch and it’s now going on 8 eight oh and delivery. The most recent excuse I have been given is that there is now a foam shortage so now that’s causing another delay. If you’re looking for good or even decent customer service I would completely avoid this place the way they avoid caring for their customers. I called today and was told I’d get a call back but I’m 100% confident that will not happen. Worst experience of my life.

I ordered a chair for my elderly mother on January 14th, so she could sit comfortably when she watches TV, knit, etc.... A kind salesperson, Tabitha Hills helped me pick out a chair and purchase it. Once that was all done, she told me that it will arrive within 7 to 14 business days.Its been a month since I placed the order, and still nothing. When I called the store for an update on the order, I talked to a so-called manager, this manager was so nasty and rude. It seemed like the manager didnt want to help me one bit and said we cant cancel the chair. I said I would dispute the charge on my credit card, the person slammed the phone, not hanged up but slammed the phone on me. I was ticked off, and now Im working with my bank to dispute the charge since this company is not cooperating and Im out of a chair. A couple of hours later from talking to the manager, Tabitha called me back and helped me with my issue, and set everything right.I believe Tabitha Hill should be the manager because she was more professional, kind and caring like a real manager should be, not like this so-called manager that has no place in a business of any kind! So please stay away from this store because you will get screwed over because they will not live up to their promise, and I will never buy anything again from this store!

Harry and Cameron are the best. They always help me get hard to find items (like my recording studio desk or high end office furniture). I needed a box spring today, and they came through like always! As a Realtor, I find this to be an excellent place to source furniture for staging and my clients almost dont want to move once they see their design choices.

Yall this is the find we needed. Their space is full of products by beautiful local artists and furniture builders, along some bigger brands from all over. The prices were impeccable, but it was the staff that really shot this into a 5 star review. WOW, what a beautiful store! I went to HomePlace to get some ideas for my home that Ive been wanting to refurnish and ended up purchasing all of my pieces from them over the course of a few days! The furniture they have is modern/contemporary with some traditional and the quality is amazing!!!The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with. Was a great experience. Been to a few other places and Home Place was by far the most welcoming and helpful. We worked with Louie who greeted us, asked what we were looking for, and left us alone. Wasnt circling like a shark waiting to strike, like every other place Ive been to. We end up buying a bedroom set and mattress. I would recommend to friends/relatives.

I ordered a couch in early December and was told there would be a 8-10 week delivery time. I thought this delivery time was lengthy, but I was willing to wait for the right couch. The couch was paid for upfront. This is now the end of week 12 and I still have no couch. I’ve reached out to the retailer 4-5 times and have heard varying excuses with no precise timeline for delivery. Not once has the company reached out to me to inform me of any delays. At this point, I’m unsure if the couch exists and if the charge needs to be considered fraudulent. Buyers beware.
