Did a cruise with the wife and loved it, only thing I didn’t like is that it was packed and people don’t care if they chain smoke and bump into other. But I didn’t pay attention to that because I was amazed by the view of almost all Istanbul from all sides, amazing views and I booked it right before sun goes down so we got the bright and the look at night and what I suggest honestly.

The Bosporus, also known as the Strait of Istanbul, is a narrow, natural strait and an internationally significant waterway located in northwestern Turkey. It is considered to be the boundary between Europe and Asia, and divides Turkey by separating Anatolia from Thrace. It is the worlds narrowest strait used for international navigation. The Bosporus connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara, and, by extension via the Dardanelles, the Aegean and Mediterranean seas.

Istanbul’s most iconic structure, the most famous of all the three bridges on the Bosphorus and the Oldest one of them as well, it was previously known as the Bosphorus Bridge, but now it’s officially known as the 15 July Martyrs Bridge(after the people that lost their lives in the 2016 coup attempt), and it’s the bridge where the tanks blocked the road in the 2016 coup attempt, it’s very beautiful and one of the most important bridges in the world as it connects two continents together(Europe and Asia).

Every October, the annual Intercontinental Istanbul Eurasia Marathon crosses the bridge on its way from Asia to Europe. During the marathon, the bridge is closed to vehicular traffic.In October, visitors participate in the fun run and cross the bridge on foot. Many take picnics to enjoy the view.

The original name of this bridge was Bosphorus Bridge then was renamed to 15 July Martyrs Bridge in memory of those killed during the attempted coup in July 2016.

My taxi drivers often took this bridge when driving me to and from Sabiha Gokcen Airport, and if the city ever added a pedestrian crossing (like a sidewalk) to it, my experience would be complete! (I read somewhere they used to have that…any knowledge anyone has?) Sidewalk or not, the views you’ll get from your car are second to none. You’re crossing between CONTINENTS, by the way—it’s not just any ordinary bridge! And at night, the lighting adds a magnificent touch to the skyline.

There will be traffic all the time. Toll is 10 TL in 2020. If you have van or bigger vehicle than van, you cant use this. You can use ship, tunnel or other bridge

Well the bridge looks nice espiaclly at night when the lights come on. But there is no place for people to walk or cross the bridge as it is closed now which is disappointing

A bridge connecting two continents.The sad thing is that you can’t walk on this one but you can drive or have a ferry ride below it.The bridge in itself is very beautiful and also the surroundings.It was looking amazing during sunset.Also if you don’t want to spend more money you can try Tyrol ferry services. They do a round trip to Bosphorus every hour and costs only 20 Turkish Liras.

There are three suspension bridges on the Bosphorus connecting Europe to Asia (or vice versa). The first one is known as Bosphorus Bridge and was opened on 29th October 1973 between Beylerbeyi andOrtakoy neighborhoods. This bridges name was changed into Martyrs of July 15th dedicated to the victims of the coup attempon 15th of July 2016.

15 July Martyrs Bridge, a beautiful bridge. Looks amazing from any point of the city. Walked there all the way from Sultanahmet square hoping to be able to walk over it. Unfortunately it is accessible by car or other vehicles only. But there is a small bazaar of mostly handmade things like jewelry, gifts, souvenirs. Also they have street food, which is just yummy.
