I bought a mattress 15 years ago and it lasted! I went back an upgraded to an amazing King Beautyrest Black (saved almost 50%), they delivered on time, called before, and took my old mattress away. These guys are great.

Went in found the bed we wanted after a apt fire we needed to replace much of our furniture n they were great prices and awesome staff.

Just found out they do mattress disposal for $20.I dropped my mattress off, gave them $20 and was on my way.Very nice staff, and looking in, it appears they have a really robust mattress selection.

I’ve been to PJ’s a number of times and really should have left a review prior to now but I guess it’s better late than never. I just left with two night stands, a head board, a box spring, and frame for my guest room. I was helped by a young man named Wences who running around like crazy helping the many people in the store. He had a great big smile on his face and greeted everyone. He was extremely knowledgeable and a real pleasure to deal with. I tried to tip him because I was so impressed with his customer service but he refused. So instead I’m posting this review to spread the positive word about this hidden gem of a sleep store. Highly recommended!!!

I will never go anywhere else for any bed I might need in the future. The young man I worked with was so helpful and an amazing polite guy and the bed OMG I dont know why I didnt go there sooner. I recommend this place to anybody looking for a great bed at a affordable price it was a king w/box springs for 245.00 which also included a sheet set and the most amazing pillow I have every had. If I wouldve went anywhere else to get this it wouldve easily cost me 1200.00 if not more.

I bought a full mattress today. Price was very reasonable. and Wences was very helpful. Pointed me in the right direction of the mattress I was looking for. I have been shopping there for years whenever I need a mattress. Highly recommend PJs to everyone looking for a mattress or bed.

Got a great deal on queen + full sets. basically got the box springs for free, discount on the mattress. and they throw in 2 free pillows!! or if you want to upgrade your pillows they will let you use the free pillows for $15 credit each. they also had sheet sets available in a range of quality. definitely doesnt look too pretty on the inside, very dusty, and there is no proper parking lot or loading zone, Hawthorne is sketch!

They were nice when I went in and nice on the delivery, but it hasnt even been two weeks and the mattress has lumps,folds, and sags that my last mattress didnt get after several years. Very dissappointed. I was also told it was new but it definitely isnt and like a previous reviewer said, has the tag ripped off. They are running a bit of a scam here.

Bought a mid to high end mattress less than 2 years ago and the center collapsed. Maybe it is the manufacturers fault but no help on this garbage mattress

FANTASTIC place to get rid of an old mattress. The man who helped me took my cash, complimented my sparly, lavender-colored fingernails, and then lifted my mattress off the top of my car and CARRIED IT INTO THE WAREHOUSE OVER HIS HEAD ALL ON HIS OWN. It was extremely impressive.Quickest, easiest mattress disposal I couldve hoped for. I will recommend this company to everyone.

Quirky little place. But full of things Ive not seen elsewhere and super helpful staff.Their business model is very Portland, using reusing and renewal along with new items.Its easy to miss, so keep an eye out for this gem.

Great customer service. Excellent prices and a good selection of cheap, affordable and a few good high end pieces. My only complaint is I felt like the handling of the mattresses were a bit careless as the first one I got was damaged likely in transitand had a very comfortable zone once it got home so we had to return it. They were very accomodating and easy about the return although I had to arrange my own pick up and such for the return. Staff was very friendly but I would have liked more details on the background of the mattress. Overall great store but might try elsewhere for convenience if i had a bigger budget

Not new mattresses. Even if you ask for one. I bought what I was told was a new mattress only to realize after I got home that the tags had heen ripped off. Definitely not new. Also sags after just a month.

Will come back here first for all my furniture needs! This place sells beds and bedroom furniture. I bough a nice, used dresser from here for $75. Thats great and all, but I really wanted to write a review because the gentleman who helped us was SO amazing. Daniel, hes a manager. He was extremely helpful, friendly and enthusiastic! If any one decides to go based on this review, I hope Daniel is there to help you!

For a resale shop, this has been doing me right for years and years. I’ve bought several refurbished mattresses here, never had any issues. Always greeted me quickly, and the staff know what they are doing. If you get one on a bad day, remember they are doing everything: helping you decide, moving and loading the furniture for you, ringing you up. It’s a lot. And I appreciate them, especially when you need a boxspring STAT!

Found a new full size mattress set here for a couple hundred bucks. Really great quality, and they deliver.I was visiting right at the end of their business day, but they still arranged to deliver my mattress set across town even though the shop was closing soon. I really appreciated this since I didnt want to rent a truck.There isnt upselling and hoodwinking going on here. Its just good mattresses for discount prices.Please note that I bought my mattress set almost two years ago, and the quality of it has survived the tests of time. I love sleeping and a good mattress is hard to come by for cheap. Thanks PJ!

I love this place !!I have lived in the neighborhood for 22 years and have purchased all of our family beds here. Jason is down to earth, knowledgeable and honest. We are very particular about our beds and the onetime we had one that didnt work out he immediately exchanged it at no extra charge. Stands behind his business and is good to his customers !!The delivery lads are always great, polite and with a problem solving menatilty, even when facing challenges, like unforgiving basement stairs and turns. 40. dollars for delivery is an incredible value.Highly recommend !!!!

Man, we called to ask about the $400 adjustable promo for Queen, the rep was rude and said he doesn’t have the adjustable only for full. Is on the website advertised. BAIT AND SWITCH. The sales man referred us to talk to the webmaster!? What a heck is that service?! Daniel does not knows his promos.

PJs Sleep Shop is our go to place for mattresses. Great prices and great selection. My husband and I absolutely love our new mattress. Headed back to pick up another one for our guest bedroom.

Very nice and Attentive service. We have frequented this place many times over past 20 ish +/- years. Great lil Mom and Pop shop. Shop is still very dusty, old and run down looking. If you can see past the appearance and the horribly busy roads and hard to find close parking, This is great lil place for reasonably priced beds.

The manager was nice and friendly. They werent too busy so we were able to look around with our kids without disturbing anyone. Helped us pick out a mattress that fit our budget and our needs.

If I can give these guys - 5 I would worst of the worst.Ask for the advertise adjustable foundation for $400 guy was rude said they don’t have it and hung up I checked the website and it’s offered so I called again and he tells me it’s a mistake, would not offer what they advertise on tv and either on website. Worst of the worst.

Was in and out of dropping off my old mattress within one minute. Friendly guy took my cash and I was on my way. Beats the transfer station who is the one that recommended I come here in the first place!

I just had a mattress and box spring delivered by Coran and Greg, the really nice delivery guys, and there was an error in their instructions that said I was only getting a mattress. When we all checked, they realized the error and gave me a boxspring they already had in the truck so that I wouldn’t have to wait for one, this is GOOD customer service, very pleased with the service

Bought a mattress and wasnt told it was used. Called and talked to manager and was told we could exchange it and to come in. When we got here we were told we bought a used bed and if we want another bed we would have to pay another delivery charge. Owner was super rude and was calling me a lair, without saying it and only had over priced bed for exchange. Will never come back and will tell everyone I know to stay away from here.

We bought a mattress here about a year ago. The mattress has held up great and its very comfortable for the ~$100 we paid for it. Customer service was helpful and deliver was also offered.

Great customer service from JEREMY in regard to taking my old queen mattress for ONLY $15.00!! Drove right over and he met me at the side loading door. The guy looked like a retiree from the NFL. When I opened up the rear door of my cargo trailer he snatched that heavy cumbersome queen mattress like it was nothing....THEN he commences to toss it right up on his shoulder like it was a loaf of bread and then carried it with one arm quickly into the building! I just stood there with my mouth opened in astonishment. The dude must be able to bench press 400 plus pounds for sure and I want mim as a partner in my next bar brawl for sure! Jeremy, you rock! Best place in Portland to dispose of your mattress.....CHEAP $15.

I was certainly a bit skeptical about PJs. I red some reviews, and decided to check it out myself. I was looking for a spare bed for our guest room for some out of town guests. Not having much time, I checked out a few places, and found a mattress at PJs that seemed to meet our needs. However, I didnt have much time to look, and there wasnt much floor space to lie the bed down to test it. So I went with my gut and bought it for a great price. Then it was delivered. My wife and I tested it, and slept miserably. The middle was hard. No edge support (I had to consciously thing about not falling out of bed all night). I thought my wife was going to divorce me for my bad decision-making. The next day I called Jay at PJs and told him of my misfortune. No problem. Come on in and take a look around and if you see something you like of comparable price, well exchange it. A few days later, we spent about 30 minutes in the shop, testing beds until we found one we liked. Two days later, they exchanged it. No extra charge. Unbelievable. Earlier this year, we bought an $8,700 bed from Sleep Number for ourselves, which continues to be a nightmare. This was a surprisingly different experience.

Great products for great prices. Received home delivery within hours. Not a fancy showroom but I paid way less then what I saw at the showrooms around town.

I have used & reccomend PJ Matress for years. However what I have learned is who you work with at the store with confirm your experience. Theres guy there that has red hair who extremely rude and combative. The owner is lacking luster also, but the othersalesperson(s) are very nice. as were the delivery representives. I came in to buy Queen mattress but when it was delivered for some reason the matrress was irregular shaped ( too short) which left lots of open space on bed frame. I had a lot of back and forth due to exchange.Go to PJs with a open mind, tape measure, ask lots of questions, be firm and patient; its gonna be a bumpy ride but your end result is usally well worth it.

I have bought 7 mattresses from p j s in the last 10 years & wouldnt consider going any where else. The service, the prices & selection r unbeatable. Got my latest one 2 days ago & have had the first good nights sleep in months. The manager, Dan, took very good care of my needs. Im 74 & frail which he kept in mind when helping me select a mattress.

Usually my go to bed shop, and have recommended to friends and family often. Felt like I offended staff or manager for showing up 10 minutes after they opened. Sorry for seeping when you had things you wounds rather be doing

Stuck with a garbage mattess.. they tried 4-5 times to get me a decent mattress. You will either fall into the center or the fabric will start coming apart. Enjoy whatever you get stuck with.If you want to pay a cheap price for a garbage mattress, this is the place to go.

My mom got bed bugs from the bed she bought from here. when I tried to call the new owner was very rude to me and it was very upsetting he would be that way to a loyal costomer . THIS PLACE SELLS BED BUGS WITH THERE BEDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I had a good experience at PJs after having been at a department store, then one of the mattress warehouse places (bleah). Though not all the stock is visible, the manager was able to find us a much nicer model than we expected to buy. We were shocked at the really great price: one third the price of what Sears was selling on their 4th of July sale. Needless to say, were very happy and plan on returning.

I am not happy with my shopping experience here. I was initially very happy to find such a good deal on a Serta twin XL mattress and box spring for such a great deal! $200 for both?! PJ was a little rough around this edges with his language and sales approach but I was willing to overlook all of that, and the fact that the warehouse was felling apart and ghetto. I wanted a firm mattress, and the only one he had within that realm was an extra firm mattress. I tested it out, and it seemed just right. I got home, slept on it a couple nights and decided it was way too firm and not comfortable. I call and he offers an exchange so I come in and try out what hes got- but I hate all of them. I make the statement Thanks for your help, but I think Im going to just return the mattress. He gives me the look of death and points to a sign (which was not there when I bought it) and say You see that big ass sign over there? No returns. I already gave you a deal Im not getting fu&@?! in the ass over this. REALLY?! Thats how youre going back to treat your customer? One who is not happy with any product? You would rather talk down to them and make them feel like crap for even requesting to make a return, after spending several hundred dollars?! Then I ask him if these mattresses are new, and he laughs and says Of course not why do you think theyre so cheap?... Mind you he doesnt volunteer this information until After Ive made the purchase and had to ASK. BUYERS BEWARE: mattresses are NOT new. They are floor models/refurbished and there are NO returns. Dont like the exchange options? Too bad! Hell tell you to go F:&$ yourself because hes not going to get it in the ass! Shame on me for giving this business my money. I wont make the same mistake again, and I do not recommend this business to anyone... Poor customer service and not fully truthful upfront.

The manager/ sales guy was rude, and there advertisements lie. The mattress I was showed was under some apartments in a garage standing on it side ( not even in the store) and was very shady. The whole business seems kind of shady. I have a feeling if I bought something there I would have had a bad day.
