Steve at Center city was a Godsend! I was traveling through Post Falls on a road trip and my clutch stopped working on my way to visit family. Steve was the third mechanic my uncle and I went to. Every shop was booked up for weeks, including Steve’s. It was his admin day off. He could’ve sent my uncle and I away. But, he stopped, took the time to listen and give his diagnosis. He was SUPER knowledgeable and honest! Then went above and beyond and said I could drop my car at his shop and he would look at it first thing the next morning since I was stranded. We had the car towed to him and he still happened to be there when we returned. So he said he would take a look at it and fixed it on the spot. And because it was such a quick fix he did it pro bono. Who does that? This guy is the real deal! If I lived in Post Falls I’d trust Steve as my mechanic. He won my uncle over (a local) as a client too! Not an easy thing to do. Thank you Steve for your kindness! Praying God returns it to you 100 fold!

Steve and Tim were my “knights in shining armor” when I was stranded in Post Falls on my way to Portland. He and Tim came right to my car at the Auto Zone and installed the battery that had been charged overnight. Steve dropped me off at a coffee shop to wait. Tim replaced the alternator and fan belt, which were tricky with the turbo engine. Steve picked me back up from the coffee shop and helped take care of the core charge on the alternator I’d gotten from Spokane. This saved me time, so I could make it in time for my daughter’s surgery! They were friendly, and helpful! I’m so grateful for all their help! I definitely recommend them and their services!

They quoted me 200 bucks to mount and balance 4 tires. Ill shop elsewhere.

Unfortunately shop only 2 men, never got to my repairs but owner was most helpful at information on my rough country lift and now most comfortable how I want to correct my own solution

Under the new owner, Steve Rodgers, I got a quote for door checks (the mechanisms that keep your car doors in the open position) as they had worn out in my new (to me) car. Steve quoted me the price of the parts without marking them up and was able to install the new parts quickly for a very reasonable price. Steve came highly recommended by a co-worker that previously had work done by him, so I knew he was trust-worthy. I was so happy with the work he did that I have since referred my mom when she was dealing with transmission issues. Steve is honest, trust-worthy, affordable, and efficient. Hes what you look for in a good mechanic. I plan to continue to bring any car issue to him in the future, and you should too!

There’s not enough positive things I can say about these guys.Yesterday (5/16/19), I dropped off my rig and they said they were a few days behind on the work they had. I told them what I wanted and they did exactly what I asked. They also provided me with other information about transmissions and recommended something else, but didnt pressure me. My family has known Lew and his crew for at least 20 years. Good bunch of people. They have always got our repairs and maintenance done quickly. Give them a few days notice and they can get you in and out in reasonable time often faster than you expect.

We are from out of town. Our starter went out and had to be towed from the hotel. These guys were fast, gracious and the price was right. Highly recommended!

Extremely frustrated with this place which came highly recommend to me from someone who personally knows the owner.Sept 2018 I went in with overheating issues. I was told I needed to replace the water pump, thermostat, and timing belt. Paid $937. Car started overheating again. Returned it to them saying that didn’t work. They looked again and told me it was my head gasket. I asked about trying block seal before I paid that much to have that work done. Block seal did not work. Car was still overheating. So I went ahead and made the appt to do the head gasket. Was told it would take 3-4 days; they had it for 9 (2 they were closed for).I was called during this time and informed that the head gasket work was finished.....but that it had overheated still and that they figured out it was the radiator. I am completely baffled that my radiator was never looked at in the first place. An easy $200 fix.....now I’ve paid $2,571 for things that probably wouldn’t have needed to be replaced if the actual issue had been fixed.Additionally, upon picking up my vehicle I was told they also replaced the water pump and timing belt AGAIN, and was going to charge me for that AGAIN. I was told the water pump was leaking and that the timing belt just needed to be replaced in case of any damage coolant leakage could have caused.I am an extremely unhappy customer because I feel as though 1) I was taken advantage of by being told different things needed to be replaced when I don’t know anything about vehicle work so I took their word for it, and/or 2) that whomever was diagnosing my car had no idea what they were doing if they just bypassed looking at my radiator as a cause of the overheating (now that I’ve looked online that’s one of the few things that can cause overheating, so for that to be carelessly overlooked is deceiving to me).Lastly, my water pump replacement in Sept I was charged $141 and the timing belt was $83. Today on my bill the 2nd water pump attempted charge was $133 and the timing belt $70. Which means I was overcharged for the work done way back in Sept anyways.I do not recommend going here.

I brought my car in to get the water pump replaced. When I picked it up, they asked if it was puttering before I brought it in. I told them it was running fine. I had a backyard mechanic take a look at what the problem was and he could show me two ways how the timing chain was not set correctly. Post Falls Performance did fix the issue, but this could have done extensive damage to my engine. The fact that they tried to say it was something else is kind of bothering.

These guys fixed my car fast, and for a great price, theyre honest and friendly, and back up their work.

Went here to get my clutch replaced on my Pickup. Got it back with a 6inch rip in my carpet, plenty of stains on the carpet, the torsion bar was cranked down on one side so the truck was pulling left, and the flywheel wasn’t even resurfaced so the truck was shaking a ton when starting in 1st gear. I was extremely nice and kept my cool as I took it back the next day and explained everything that was wrong. He claimed that my carpet “already had a small tear and it got bigger”. Lied straight to my face when I know for a fact that the carpet did NOT have any tears or imperfections in it. They had to redo everything and get the truck an alignment. What should have been a 2 day fix ended up being over a week and a half. Absolutely horrible stay far, far, away.

My truck engine starting smoking while I was on I-90 and I was about to pull over and call a tow truck when I happened upon this place and pulled in. I was worried it would take a while to get service but Jim was able to help me immediately. I only missed about 30 minutes of work. Thank you Jim!

I had am appointment to have some work done on my suburban. I had bought the parts and the parts place sold me the wrong part. So I couldnt get the work done that day. But they told me what parts place to go to and get the part I have to have. I have gotten that and will be going back next week to have them put the right part on my suburban.

These guys always go above and beyond when we need something fixed on our cars. The last time I went, I had already agreed to a price, but they still ended up going way out of there way to save me money and surprised me with a better cost when my car was finished. I trust them 100% after multiple repairs. Very friendly staff as well.

I paid this business in excess of $5000 to pull, rebuild & install the engine in my car. In the process they charged me for a battery they did not install & I did not need. They also replaced the starter which I had just had rebuilt elsewhere. They charged me $60 to install a kick down kit for the transmission but when I told them it was not working they said the transmission was bad. However they never mentioned it to me when I picked the car up. Right after I picked it up the throttle stuck wide open because of a clearance problem between the carb linkage & the air cleaner. Fortunately it happened while the car was parked in my driveway. Apparently they never bothered to check the opperation of the throttle. Shortly after I got my car back I noticed it was hard starting when hot. When asked them about it they stated it was my problem but recommended a carb spacer which I installed myself. They will never work on my vehicles again.

My daughter took her truck in for these guys to fix they toldher $600 over the phone .charged her almost 900 when she picked it up and they did not fix the problem. I will not ever bring a vehicle into these guys again
