I went in the morning on a weekday and had the most pleasant experience. Shopped leisurely through soft socks, grabbed a bag of potting soil, then wandered to the cash register where the nicest lady waited for me to ring me up. She was lovely--in a grandmotherly way. Super greatful for the experience. I left with a nice feeling-- and soft socks.

They were out of everything I needed. They let a well known snitch whos name I wont say, but his initials are Travis childress work on the parking lot. Hard for me to have a reason to ever go back

I have been doing a lot of shopping lately at Farm and home. I like that I can go in there and there are not a ton of people. The staff is all very knowledgeable about where things are and how to use different items that they sell. I also enjoyed the bulk candy that is by the checkout lanes. It’s absolutely impossible to leave the store without a piece or two of salt water taffy.

Pretty simple store. I love getting canning stuff from here.

I had shopped and researched large Stihl chainsaws for a couple weeks. I had narrowed my selection down to the 462C or the 500i. Stopped by Farm & Home in Springfield IL and the sales person had not seen a 462C for quite a while and they just sold their last 500i that week. I called all over central IL and could not locate either of these saws in stock until I called the Quincy Farm & Home. They had one left. I offered to pay for immediately and pick it up the next day. The sales person would not take my payment and repeatedly assured me the saw would be set aside for me. I drove an hour and a half the next day to pick up the saw only to find that they had sold it shortly before I arrived. I asked how this could happen and was offered no explanation.

I do like this store, I wish their women’s clothing section was better though. The men’s section definitely outweighs the women’s. Would like to see women’s carhartt items like they do for the men.

Farm & Home took way too long (without explanation) to repair my riding mower. It took from Thanksgiving 2020 until mid February 2021 to sharpen the blades and do a minor repair. They dropped the ball on this one. Why didnt I call? I did and stopped by more than once, BUT I shouldnt have to. I will attempt to use them again, but will be cautious and I am awarding them 2 strikes for this goof.

I did a drop and hook. Place was crazy. They had their own trucks comming in and out. Could not find a place to drop trailer. Then it just got quiet.All the traffic died down. Empty spots for trailers. Must have been the start of drivers shift.Get there about 10 am. Will be less traffic. Wish I had time to go inside store and look around. Sounds like a awesome place reading the reviews.

Recently ordered the MaxxAir 24” fan. After opening the package I realized the fan had extensive damage. When I say extensive, I mean it looks like it was kicked off the back of every truck it was transported on. The shroud was completely caved in on the top, bottom and sides where it mounts to the stand. After making three attempts to contact this business I got no answer. Tried emailing but got no response and if you call the number you get an automated system that gives you the run around and when you finally get someone on the phone to speak to they transfer you to another line that rings but nobody answers.....I decided to keep the fan and take it completely apart to reshape the shroud and cage so that it is usable instead of dealing with this headache.

Employees are very nice. Very large selection of items.

Needed boots and the ones I liked were on sale. Plus I always like looking at the pistols.

Stopped at 3 other major home stores for mower belt each had online to find none had in store. (Yard 1/2 done so wanted now) Farm & Home had it and cheaper. Friendly knowledgeable staff.

I really enjoy going here. They sell a lot of items. Staff are always polite and willing to help. Plenty of parking but exiting onto Broadway can be a little hectic so I usually exit from there lot on 48th street. Plenty of choices for animal feed, work clothes, fire arms, tools, lawn mowers/parts, and random things occasionally. Kids really enjoy it when they have the baby chickens in stock. The other thing I like is that you can now order bee hive colony supplies here and order new bee colony.
