I love Safeway, I wish I could work there. I do my gig work with Safeway and many other stores. I would appreciate being responded to in a more respectful manner if I ask for a particular bagging method. I would rather use self-checkout, but Im not allowed to. And I dont want to be rude and push a bagger away when he is working. Your job is important to us gig workers and we highly appreciate your help.

This store is centrally located, and easy to access.80 % of my shopping is done here. It is clean, the staff is helpful. I found that if I ran all over town I could save a little, but the travel costs would eat up any savings. I use this store for debit card loading, also. They are friendly, and carry the odd items that I use, like vegan chorizo. All in all, a very nice store.

I went in for a Dash order. It was simple to find everything needed. The staff were friendly and polite as I walked around, asking if I needed help or simply saying hello.

They had a variety of food to choose from. The fruits and vegetables looked fresh.

So, it no secret that if you order from Doordash,you are lucky to receive half of your order.Now, Safeway has an app, that I used and the difference is....They use theyre employees to do the shopping, so your getting what you ordered or darn close .You can order for delivery, and use your discount phone number.Its a GREAT APP! IVE USED IT ONCE.....And will probably not go back into Safeway again. This is a great effort on Safeway for developing an App that allows much simpler shopping.....😁

Good, clean local store. Nice, friendly checkers. Prices a bit high, and sometimes sale prices dont ring up correctly. Otherwise...great.

Not a bad store pretty nice and clean decent selection of produce and deli section plus there is Safeway gas station right out back so it makes it convenient to get groceries and gas all on the same block

Wonderful space, got everything you need for grocery and then some. Added bonus: the baked goods are on sale when surplus is remaining along with other goods located near the back of the store when approaching the expiration.

I feel like these employees really try. I recently purchased some seriously outdated food and didnt notice to I was losing it in truck. I took it right back in and they were great at making it right. Airways courteous and helpful

The safest way to enjoy cooking or prepared dishes is to go to Safeway. They are clean, lovely produce and hearty meat selections. It might be cheesy to say but the variety of cheese is nice.

For a store that charges so much for their products and services, you would think they could keep things in stock. On a side note, pray that you dont need to use the bathroom while youre there. It has never been anything less than filthy. This Safeway is somewhere you go if you need one or two things and its close. Otherwise go to WinCo where its in stock and youll pay half.

I love Safeway they have lots of good deals and they always have tons of items on half off in a corner of the store which I love and the $5 deals soo nice.

Store doesnt seem too well stocked sometimes and produce doesnt keep very long like some stores. Prices are very high,, but the carry so many sale items and their Just4U app makes it so worth it! Overall nice shopping atmosphere, and good service!

I get very frustrated with their loyalty club free items. They are hard to find and very often out of them, protected of course by while supplies last. I understand it is a loss leader to get you into the store but it feels like a bait and switch. Their prices are already high.

Just moved here and have been trying to get my medications transferred to their pharmacy. Its going on three weeks now and I am playing the go between between this store and where my meds are located on the East Coast, and each time I am in contact with Safeway, they have no idea at all what Im talking about. I had a Walmart pharmacist who was helping me and went above and beyond to help me contact me to say he could not get in touch with anyone in their pharmacy and asked if I had anywhere else I would like to try, he would not be attempting to contact them again. I dont blame him. I tried calling the Pharmacy Sunday and could not reach anyone. I drove to the store and the pharmacy had no customers and two technicians so its unclear why they werent answering their phone. Definitely avoiding doing anything medical related at any and all Safeways from now on due to my experience here.

The best produce, and always sales on good meat, the butchers will slice or add season for you. The BEST CHECK IN TOWN. The are always willing to work with coupons, and find every thing you need, even tell you specials if you missed one.

I like this Safeway. They have a good produce department and the shelves are well stocked. I never have to wait in line.

Safeway is a great store well stocked very clean. Have great hours to accommodate their customers, to have all that it does cost one a little more. But I did find in produce that a few things needed to be removed & replaced with fresh. With that I still recommend Safeway stores.

I always find the products fresh and superior and the staff professional and pleasant. There are two longtime employees, Liz and I forget the older gentlemans name, sorry, that are exceptional. Also the young people that work there are very kind and courteous, not something I find in other stores. Thank you.

Ive always liked Safeway. There deli, meat and sea food, there produce. Since the out break of the virus theres been changes, not just in price. The deli, and meat and seafood departments have remained high quality . There produce has really gotten bad. The shelf life once purchased and brought home used to stay good at least a week to 10 days. There produce now doesnt even last a week. My personal experience is some dont even last 2 to 3 days and it rots.I dont shop as I once did. When I do, I dont buy there produce.

Store is very clean. Its a bit more expensive than what Im used to. Panhandling is a problem in the parking lot. Excellent bakery, produce and flower bouquet sales staff who were very helpful.

Went to Safeway on Pine St, Redding, to get my Covid-19 vaccine, from the Pharmacy. Had made an appointment last week, online. Check in process was easy. Waited a short time for the Pharmacist to provide me with the necessary warnings and advisories. Another short wait and the technician came in and administered my vaccine. Quick, painless (to me) and easy. Waited the obligatory 15 mins in case of reaction, and out the door I went, along with a 10% off coupon for my next grocery shopping visit at Safeway.

Now that I started noticing there was a lot less homeless people around its a much more pleasurable place to go shopping at.

I have to stop and comment on one of the awesome things about Safeway, i work road construction, and instead of going to fast food, i get a giant sandwich bathed in avacado instead of mayonase, i have it cut in half and for two days i wait in agony for lunch time!! Ham&turkey on sourdough, avacado-pickles- pepperchinies..yikes!!

Decent, but write a few people asking for hand outs at all entrances to parking lot, sleeping in their cars, sleeping on sidewalk in front of store with their dogs, in the store... Im totally fine with it, but single moms with little kids could be a little un comfortable..

Store has so many homeless wondering parking lit, not a safe area at night. Parking lot is dirty. Staff is super nice especially the man cleaning the baskets.

Did not have a selection of different breads or tomatoes and still charged full price for a sandwich that I had to take because I was on the way to my daughters softball game.

Safeway is one of my favorite stores if a person shops for the deal you could almost always find one maybe not everything you want but if you shop with what you got Safeway will get you through some times with not a lot of money but some good food Ive been with them for many years

7pm and they had all the self checkout lanes closed. Guess they thought itd be cool to just have two cashiers instead. Who doesnt enjoy standing in a long line only to reach a cashier that blatantly ignores you when you tell them thank you? TWICE? I literally said thank you, twice, and she just stared at me.

I was impressed to see they had an employee outside, collecting and sanitizing carts continually. Inside was cleaner than their normal standard, as well.Freshest produce always! Deli section top, top as usual. Bakery that takes cake to a whole another level. Great product variety store wide. And the cherry on top? The friendliest employees!Safeway is proof that you get what you pay for. ( Very nice, if you can afford it 🤔 )

My experience was wonderful at Safeway today you cant beat 5$ Fridays today they had a sale buy 2 get 4 free and you can mix and match!!! I bought everything here for less than 19$

Work customer service ever the deli clerk ramona was horrible Ive never been charged 15.$ for 1 sandwhich. She was so rude an disrespectful. I love there sandwiches but this experience i had was actually the worst in my life.

This is the Safeway off West Cypress Avenue, near the downtown area. The store is bright and clean and the employees are very friendly. I went with a good friend and realized after wed left that the inside layout of the store is the same as the Safeway on East Cypress beside CVS. The colors and decorating is nicely done. My friend and I really were tempted to buy some pool/river/lake inflatable unicorns, pink flamingos and white geese. Pretty awesome floats. If you are into having plenty of time to float on water, this would be a fun way to do it no matter what your age is. I was really tempted and Im 67 years old. Once a float fan, always a float fan! Very nice store you would like too. Try it out.

Store is pretty good inside but the parking area and all around the building are multiple homeless makeshift campsites. Many are belligerent as I walked buy. Not a safe area.
