What a great new little treat we have here in our town. They dont have a huge menu but thats okay their drinks are really good. They can customize things. Check out their wall of books its really cool and their bathroom has a really cool wallpaper in it. This is a place you can go get yourself a cold drink or even hot and sit and relax read a book do nothing.

The best bubble/boba tea we have had!!! We have tried about 5 others in Tricities. This place has a menu that already made flavor combos for you to try. I can never decide what flavor to get. The brown sugar bobas have just the right amount of sweetness. You can also pick your sweetness level for your drink. My daughter loves the coconut/ honeydew blended. Right above Northwest paddleboards. You can park in the lower parking lot between Howard Amon Park & Northwest Paddleboards & walk up the little hill. You have to try this place.

Cute little coffee shop! Used to be in the library but theyve relocated for now. Its a little hidden but its worth the hunt! We got a Blank Page and a Script Writer with an americano base (which made it taste similar to a vietnamese coffee! 0.o)

Very quaint place. Comfy seating far enough from others for decent private conversation. I ordered The Author and my wife ordered blended mocha, both were very delicious. The people there are incredibly friendly and efficient. Locally owned so go there!!!

Having gone to school in Seattle, I have high expectations for bubble tea and have never been satisfied with the options in the Tri-Cities. Last week, however, I met my match. Novel will now be my go-to bubble tea place in TC. I LOVE the customizable options on the menu, which is something that most places before lacked. The tea flavors are also excellent, and the ambiance in the shop itself is wicked cool. You can have a serious study session AND an Instagram photo shoot, all while sipping on a delicious cup of bubble tea. The only shortfall was that a large clump of my tapioca pearls were cemented together and would not come through my straw, but I’m not sure if there’s a way to fix that or if I just got unlucky. Overall, Novel was such a treat, and I cannot wait to go back!

Nice shop, staff, and atmosphere, but the service and ordering experience could use work. We ordered two teas with jelly and both were made wrong—I ordered coconut jellies and received rainbow, and my partner asked for passionfruit jellies and received some other flavor entirely (cant remember). The gal who took our order even wrote it on the cup wrong from the start. Ive seen a lot of new staff recently, and I think they definitely need to work on having them confirm that whats on the receipt, and what the customer ordered, matches what they wrote on the cup before filling the order, especially when it wasnt busy at all.Also its a small thing, but their menu isnt always super transparent; it literally says Milk tea... with choice of milk and yet if you ask them to use a different kind of milk due to dietary restrictions, any of the staff will tell you that it doesnt even have any milk, they just use a non-dairy powdered creamer.

My favorite local little coffee shop! I don’t drink bubble tea, but their coffee is heaven. My favorite is the Typewriter. I just wished they opened at 7 am like they used to. Their coffee always made my work days—that much better :)

Novel Coffee is back! Fantastic setting on the inside, extremely friendly staff and (obviously) great teas. Best bet for Boba in Richland is this place. Glad to see them open again.

Love the people and the space. I usually let them choose what Im drinking, and I havent been disappointed yet.

There passionfruit bubble tea is good. Heard there coffee is great. Ill have to try it next. The macaroons was my least favorite. They where super sweet and no flavor.

Ive only been here three times. The staff has been incredibly friendly. The drinks were ok, but I have yet to receive what I ordered. The length of the wait to order and then the wait for the preparation, its not worth the time to have it corrected. The drinks are on par with any other instant drink mix.

I took a friend to Novel today and was so disappointed. The service was so poor and my tea had so much ice there was barely a 1/2 cup liquid. My drink was suppose to have buba, and didnt, and was overcharged.I will not be back.

It’s a nice coffee shop and I like the atmosphere, but every time we go there specifically for Bobba, they are out of tapioca. It’s so disappointing. 😔 They really need to get a bigger order of tapioca, anticipating that it’s what people really like.

This local coffee shop is doing something a little different than the rest. The way they serve you coffee makes you feel like a kid again. The cups are like coffee capri-suns. Their unique approach to coffee makes them stand out and its also pretty good coffee.

I am so happy to finally discover this place! I was hesitant about trying boba, but the baristas were so attentive and gave me such great recommendations! I’m addicted to the lavender vanilla milk tea with boba, and also tried their matcha latte which is wonderful! I decided to try out TeaHaus to compare and to change things up, but was so disappointed. The drinks at TeaHaus are super sweet and taste extremely artificial and the tapioca is not good at all. Novel is definitely my favorite place in town! I look forward to trying more things here!

Coffee was great, they were running late for the boba tea so didnt get one.

Although I’m sure they make good drinks overall but my order was messed up and it was my first time here. I ordered a strawberry lychee green tea with lychee jelly. It took a while and I realized they were waiting for the green tea to brew. The drink was bitter (tea wasn’t brewed properly) it wasn’t sweet enough, could taste the bitterness which could’ve been easily masked. Jelly was fine but not super flavorful, and there was NO ice in the drink. It was probably too hot and the ice melted before the drink was handed to me. So I paid for a lukewarm bitter tea with jelly.

I ordered a peach bubble tea and it was great until I found the ladies hair in it.They did give me a refund and offered to make it right buy offering me a new drink. I definitely appreciate that effort however this will be my only visit to Novel Coffee. I did decide to give them an extra star for the effort. Its really a bummer, Ive been wanting a bubble tea place here for a while but guess my wait continues.

I love this place, the drinks are amazing, best boba in the tri cities BY FAR. Staff is friendly and sweet, but I do have one problem: their mobile ordering. My orders are constantly canceled through the joe app, and I understand its usually because it’s busy, but sometimes it’s a bit much just to have your order canceled almost every time!This place is perfect, I just really hope they can fix this issue soon! ❤️ Much love

I recently discovered this place last week and I’m obsessed! I order the Publisher with extra tapioca and I literally dream about it now!! Service up until today (1/17) has been superb, the owners are always super friendly and I love the overall vibe of the coffee shop! However today I went in today around 1:40 and there was a line outside the door they were so busy!! No problem though, I’d wait an hour if I had to lol! The problem was the girl taking the orders. She was so rude, unfriendly, and made the experience really negative. I know it was super busy but she treated my brother and I like we were inconveniencing her and she did not look like she wanted to be there. I’m assuming she was just having a bad day and I will continue to come here, just hoping for a better experience next time!

Coffee is tasty, love their cups and low waste lids. Havent had their Boba tea yet, but will next visit. Definitely a must stop if youre in the area.

This place is amazing! They care for what they do and love every customer they have. I once accidentally dropped my drink as I was leaving. I was very sad and turned around to clean up the mess. As I turned around, they were already making another drink for me! I didn’t even ask or assume they would, they were just that kind! I love this place and can’t wait to go back.

Oh my goodness! This is literally the best boba I have ever tried! I have gone to a few other places in Tri-Cities and this by far is the best. Compares to some of the best bobas in Seattle. Might even say it’s a bit better than some I have tried in Seattle as well! 10/10 I go all the time! The owners and workers are the sweetest! They remember my order and always make it right!

It was my first time going there the other day and got the taro bubble tea. Omg it was so good!!!! I just wish they offered bigger sizes. I got a 16 oz and finished it pretty fast because it was that good. Lol

Daughter wanted me to take her here for a boba tea which she thought were the best boba teas in town at the moment which I didnt agree with, but all in all they were okay which is fine but not the best by far, but they do have other types of drinks like coffee based drinks that I heard were pretty good but have yet to try any of them.

I can tell you that the ladies working in this place are super nice and welcoming. I had been looking at different spots in Richland for tea and this was the second or third place I went in. They didn’t have the exact tea I was looking for, but herbal isn’t really their thing and I get that. They make a fantastic Boba tea and amazing coffee. Earlier I had went into the Caterpillar Cafe across town and as I entered I was immediately accosted to “put my face covering over my nose”; ummm ok, I just got here but ok. I turned around and walked out the door. I wouldn’t go back to the caterpillar cafe if I was paid to do it. Sorry. But this other place, Novel Coffee and Tea, was super nice and the ladies totally friendly. That is all. ✌🏼

For the love of God send this poor girl some help!!!! I witnessed customers waiting over 30 min for a drink...she is very kind, sweet and polite but you can tell she was overwhelmed...she was making bubble teas, ran out of tapioca, I mean she did try her best, but waiting that long for a cup of coffee...its ridiculous...Friday library closes early and I had to get some work done so I had to ask her how long it would take...I did waited about 10 min and could have wait more but the library would close soon...and all I had was a plain latte...Just send the girl some help please...thats all.

From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a happy authentic smile, and fantastic customer service. The baristas knew their inventory, helped me and were patient while I decided what flavor of bubble tea and boba I wanted for my husband. I ordered a Chai tea for myself and when I remembered after ordering that I wanted Almond milk in it the gal was happy to say they had it and put it in. She even asked if she could throw a little cinnamon on top! I said Yes girl, knock your socks off! I was so impressed that she cared enough to ask if I wanted it before doing it and happily asked at that. My husband and I both enjoyed our drinks. Thank you for providing quality beverages with great customer service!
