My car was running perfect took it their fir a routine oil change. About 2 days later my wife barely makes it home from work because the car keeps dying and acting all crazy. I checked the oil it was bone dry. We called them next morning they came towed it in. You know I thought they would just say they made some small mistake but no they say oil pan cracked. Their no way it was before it was running fine wasn’t losing a drop of oil now it loses 4 quarts in 2 days. Then 2 days later they say this type of car 2017 Kia Forte 5 has 2 oil pans upper and lower and the upper is cracked and they don’t make that part anymore. So I call Kia And they confirm what I already this car has only 1 oil pan, and if it was running fine and just took for oil change they had to do it. Also had a professional mechanic tell me the same thing. There was orange like paint on bolt you take out to drain oil. I ask them what that was about said that it is a silicone they put in to make sure no one had tampered with it. Everyone I have talk to says they never heard of a place doing that. They wanted to be able to say someone else had touched it since so they could escape blame. Sad thing is probably some new guy made a mistake, I understand mistakes if they would had just been honest we could had worked together to make it right maybe even split price to fix. I make mistakes almost everyday but I admit them. Now they hosing to cost a family that lives pay to pay check and struggles to pay bills for real have to come up with money for new engine for something they done. They got insurance for Their mistakes. How we going to come up with this money and eat. Sad world, sad people. Their is no honestly or integrity left in this world any more. So thanks Evan there is a possibility you made us home less before it’s over. Hope the owner sleep well at night. Junkies out stealing are better people then u least they cheating people because they got a problem not out of straight creed.

Sabotage with a capital S. My daughters boyfriend took his truck in for an oil change and while there they told him his tires need to be replaced. They gave him an estimate of $500 and something. So he paid for the oil change and left. The next day he woke up to both tires they said need replacing were flat. So he air them up and lo and behold the valve stem were loose. He tightened them and they havent went down yet! Dont use this place. I cant prove it was sabotage but come on...

These guys are always super honest, and provide the best service they can offer. Ive had my truck worked in there twice, and both times they were quick and professional. But their honesty was their best policy.

Was on a cross country road trip in my Rubicon and the mud terrains that came on it in 2017 had finally feathered. All I could hear was waahhhh waaahhhh waahhhh. Could barely hear the radio with the windows up. I was not looking forward to having tires ordered and then waiting for a appointment to install them. Called a few places in Richmond and it was a few day wait to get tires and a install appointment. Called Evans and was shocked when the service advisor said he could have my tires by 2pm and would fit me in to get them mounted. I arrived around 1pm to see the tires were waiting for me. They were extremely busy and still found time to fit my jeep in. I decided to go with the Nexxen Rodian AT instead of a mud tire. Not only did Evans get me in quickly because of my predicament but the bill was about 350$ cheaper then 5 firestone ATs or Goodyears. The tires are super quiet and have already been tested on the trails. Thanks so much Evans pit crew and service team for getting me back to my road trip!

Took my car in to this business back in August to diagnose issues happening with the car. Initially they replaced my timing set, which i was fine with paying for. Then when the problem persisted, I was told i needed to buy a new battery. Well flash forward several months, several mechanics, and atleast $1500 (over $1000 to Evans), i found out today that the battery they (Evans) installed was apparently a refurbished battery, which isnt really strong enough to power my car. Causing various issues, but the most dangerous being the sensors and speedometer randomly going out while im driving. They also failed to screw the battery fasten into place, so the battery has just been sloshing around the back of my trunk since leaving the business To say I am beyond fuming is an understatement..Ive taken the car to several other mechanics, all of which say Evans RIPPED ME OFF!!! If you have car troubles, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this business!

First time coming here and I got to say Im impressed. Called around many shops (like 6-8) and Evans was my soonest, most inexpensive, and honest shop I found.Came in with 2002 Mini Cooper with what we thought needed a thermostat replacement. We brought the parts and coolant too. They came out and told me after doing a pressure test, they found that only the gasket was the issue because the rubber part was missing, causing the coolant to leak. Saved me $200+ when they easily couldve been dishonest. Even suggested I take the part back to where I bought it so I could get my money back.I also appreciate their flexibility for letting me add an oil change too. Super honest and good people here, highly recommend for any auto issues. 👍

My husband is usually the one to take care of vehicle related things but when it comes going to Evans Tire, I dont mind doing it myself. I feel like they treat me well and more than fair. Ive never felt that theyve even come close to (or even tried to) take advantage of me. There are usually several females there of every age range and they were all treated very respectfully. The owner, Mike, is a super nice guy and I trust his opinion implicitly. For example, during my last oil change, I asked about my breaks and they told me I could go at least another 2 (or possibly 3) oil changes before they would need new break pads. Would most places tell you that? In my experience, definitely no!

Went in for a header installation (high flow cats, long tube headers) and they finished in about 6-7 hours. Fair prices great service and my car sounds and performs great. Will definitely be going back for future work on my 2019 5.0.

Fixed everything but the problem . they were nice about it because they were not going to give a refund I really didnt want to post this but I felt it was the right thing to do I wish they were honest and just told me the couldnt fix it instead of lieing

I love this place ! I have been going to them for a year or two. They always do a great job. They never do anything without asking me first. There prices are fair. An they do financing.

Highly recommend. I went in because my car started to overheat on the interstate. This was the first place I made it to for service. They had me pull my car into a bay, diagnosed the issue and had it repaired in a timely manner, the price was very reasonable and affordable. They also warranty parts and labor.

I came to the Evans initially because a friend of mine recommended them. I have had somewhat good service (yet it was on a pricier side) until the most recent visit - I had to call them every now and then because new things came up with the car and they never even bothered to call and say any updates during the time my car was in the shop. When on the phone a person would say one thing, and then coming to the shop to pick up the car, people upfront would say different things (a person on a phone said that the car got a sizeable leak and advised to fix it, when people upfront said its a small hole and a minor leak. Another time they literally were giving me the cars keys back to say its ready when somebody on the team said no since they forgot to fix few things and took the keys back). The last visit the car was in the shop for few days instead of a promised 5 hours which was extremely inconvenient and the only way for me to find out about any updates was to constantly call them because for some reasons they decided its not worth calling (it was a strange experience since they always called before).Anyways, after this last extremely unpleasant visit I will be finding another mechanic since that visit was truly something! I was surprised since they way they acted was no way they acted before with me (they always used to be quite responsive and polite, trying to explain everything if I had any questions). However, I am putting 2 starts instead of one since they used to be good with me few months ago, but this last visit completely turned me off.For those who are reading this review, I truly hope you have a better experience that I had.

Everyone here is very friendly. We have been in Richmond since October and were in need of an auto repair shop. A quick Google search located this place; a mere 4 minutes from our apartment. We had a valve cover gasket replacement, and they finished it so fast that we barely had time to sit down and read the news on our phones. Also, we expressed concern about traveling out of state for an event, and they offered to have us return the day before our trip to check out the car free of charge. Thanks Mike, Derrick, Michael and everyone else that works there for being so helpful.

Evans Tire & Auto have always treated me fairly, which is a rare find in the automotive service industry today. I have a 12 year old car and a 13 year old truck, so I see them pretty often. Their mechanics provide competent repairs, from installing flywheels and manual transmissions to wheel bearings and exhaust. They also usually have good prices on tire too. Highly recommend.

We are new to the Bluegrass, but have long time connections to Richmond. Was searching for a place to work on our cars and found Evans. We have had several small repairs and oil changes and service has been great and costs reasonable. Highly recommend the team there and keep up the good work. This car was in for rear brakes and oil change. Done right!

Im not really sure about Mechanic work, or how they go about setting a price for whatever work your gonna need to be done on a vehicle but getting it done there will be pretty pricey but Im sure it will be done the right way. Me and my girlfriend took our car down there so they could do a few a full maintenance check and they printed us out a list of quite a few things that needs to be fixed on it and the price came out to be about $1,400 dollars worth of Maintenance which thats including the labor. Thats not even getting everything that needs fixed on it either, another thing that we didnt tell them to check was the Heater core because we already knew it was not working so that wasnt even in the maintenance list of things that need to be fixed so I asked them how much it would be to have them fix the heat in vehicle because here soon it is gonna be winter and we wont be able to thaw the windsheild out to drive it so they priced it for me and they said that it would cost us anywhere between $1,600 - $1,800 dollars which would cost more then the whole maintenance check list and it had like 10 or 15 different things that they found that needed to be fixed on it some of the fixes were just little minor things and some of them were things that had to be changed like the rotors and brakes and the ABS System needs fixed and some other things but like I said Im sure they do good work but if you go there youd better be ready to spend some money. Lol

A while back I took my car here for something simple I had it back in an hour or two. My car was chewing O rings and I bled out 16 quarts of oil moving from Atlanta to KY. My son actually still says each time we pass by its Heavens. Well my 200 started to have massive issues and I dont have a normal 200 either. It has the 3.6 and its the convertible. Even the guys at auto zone have sold me the wrong battery at least twice because I have the Challenger engine. Its not fun to work on Im sure. Well I brought carmy back after it started to have some pretty bad issues I couldnt fix myself good as new. These guys are great. My dad recommended them and I can see why. I definitely have a problem car and Im overjoyed with the work they did.

Fantastic service, safe environment, friendly staff.

Always performed a great job, open and honest. Replaced fuel lines for me and had trouble with the E-Brake afterwards and fixed it free of charge. Not overpriced just always greatly cheaper to do the job yourself, but if you dont have the time and do have the coin they do quality work within a decent timeframe.

Theres always a long wait for oil changes. I went twice in 1 week and it 45 mins to hour and half wait. All the chairs were taken so I just left.

Me and my wife had bought a new set of wheels and tires from here. They had them there the next day. We had our appointment to have the wheels and tires mounted, oil change, and new dual exhaust, plus a free wheel alignment all at the same time. I have never had such a professional and curtious staff from a auto shop. They have earned my business and my familys business for the rest of our lives. 5 stars arent enough for this company. And the prices are more than reasonable. Brand-new custom wheels, Toyo a/t tires, new dual exhaust, oil change, all for a 07 Durango that cost less than 2300$. Ive been delivery driving in Richmond for almost 5 years now. I went to evens way back then because I busted a tire while driving one night. Mike was one of the coolest guys I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He had me a tire and back up and running in literally less than 20 minutes. In the years since I have gone to him for almost every car need I have had (which is a lot as a delivery driver). I now have two vehicles and I always have both of them serviced here. At this point its just the years of trust that keeps me coming back. To me thats very important.They have earned my loyalty probably for life.

I purchased my tires two weeks ago.. was told at the time they couldn’t do my alignment the same day.. so we scheduled an appointment for the following week.. I showed up to my appointment on time.. and waited 45 minutes before saying anything because they still hadn’t taken my car back.. guy apologizes, offers me a discount on an oil change and rescheduled me for this week.. again I show up to my appointment on time.. and they had me scheduled at the wrong appointment time.. but said they would get me in.. waited for 25 minutes.. and my car had still not been touched.. I work on a schedule just like everyone else.. and use my car for a living with my job.. in my opinion it was horrible customer service.. I would not recommend.. and if I could return the tires and purchase them somewhere else I definitely would

We were traveling through and a trailer. Had a faulty valve stem and they fixed us right up when the Goodyear around the corner said it would be at least 3 hours before he could even check it. Nice people! Had us back on the road in about 15 minutes!

Had a front cv axle replaced on my 2007 G6 GT. I drove all the way back from Louisville with it. They replaced it. When I picked up the car, power steering pump was whining. They discovered that the lines coming from the pump where busted. Remember I drove it all the way back from Louisville with no steering issues. By the way the line are directly underneath the axle. They charged me another 600 to replace the lines that they busted and broke a motor mount in the process!!!!. I wont take my vehicle back there and Ill be sharing my experience!!!!

I visited here today because I thought I needed a new tire sensor. They got me straight in and told me that my tires, in fact, had too much air and that was the problem. They reset my sensors and told me that I was good to go. I am very impressed with this place and would definitely recommend visiting for yourself!

Evans installed shocks and airbags on my vehicle last week. Regretfully nearly step of the installation was done poorly.The right airbag lower bracket was bolted over a clamp that should have been removed and the frame was drilled in the wrong spot for the upper bracket, resulting the bag to be off set and twisted so badly that it is lucky that it didnt rip on the way home. In addition the mounting bolts on the right bag werent even tightened. On the left bag the brake cable clamp wasnt tightened and all of the bolts that were tightened, were over-torqued. On both bags they didnt use the supplied bolts for the brake line mounts so they forced metric bolts from the truck into the SAE holes and stripped one of the bolts. Both brake line clamps were loose because the bolts were too long.For the air lines all but two of the hose fittings were made up wrong, a hose heat shield wasnt installed, and the routing was poorly done. The system leaked so bad you could watch the truck going up and down as it sat. The compressor was running nearly full time until it shut itself off.The wiring was sloppy for the compressor and ran too close to the exhaust system. Clamps on the battery connection box were broken and not replaced, the switched control power was taken from the wrong fuse location (so it didnt work), and a 20 amp fuse was put into a sub-10 amp circuit. Plus you could see wires hanging in the wheel well and several tie wraps didnt have the long ends cut off.For the shocks, there are cable mounts that slide over the top of the top shock bolts. These were not put back on.Air bags are a critical suspension components and to have such poor quality control is concerning. In addition I waited for nearly 6 hours for the work to be done. The airbag manufacturer said that typical installation time is 3 hours.The good news is that they refunded my money, which was greatly appreciated.It took about four hours to undo and re-do the installation. Everything that can be fixed has been fixed. Sad to have a nice vehicle damaged like this.

Was in the area for a funeral and unfortunately ran over a screw that went into the sidewall and created a small leak. They were not able to patch the tire but provided a used tire my small SUV for only 30 dollars which included mounting and balancing. Being out of state and wanting to get home safely, they did a wonderful job assisting us.I would recommend them to anyone in their area.
