Great place to get freshly made donuts. Inside the shop is clean with a neutral smell of just donuts. The owner works very hard to provide a quality product. The donuts are good 24hrs/48hrs and depending on the donut 72hrs later. The best product here are the glazed cake donut holes warm. The cake donut holes has a great glazed ratio and perfect richness that makes it the perfect treat. The Huntthegoodreviews best donut in town is still Country Style Donuts but the Donuts Company is strong contender for #1 in Richmond.

The owners are wonderful people! So kind, friendly, welcoming and good people all around! And the donuts are fantastic too! Everyone in my family loves them and has a favorite from the Old Fashioned to the Toasted Coconut to the Strawberry Frosted (with sprinkles!) to the Vanilla Cream... We love donuts company!!!

So good. Nothing super fancy like a Duck Donuts but they didnt need to be. The toasted coconut was especially delicious. Also the gentleman working there was extremely nice and very patient as this was my first visit!

These are heavy duty donuts and they’ve got a ton of great flavors here. The apple fritter is bigger than my hand and could feed a small army. Really really happy to have discovered this family run business and can’t wait to gain 10 pounds by going back often!

Fantastic! Owner was very kind and accommodating. Very comfortable little cafe area with booths and seating area. EXTREMELY clean, including the bathroom.The donut selection was massive and fresh- I cannot stress how huge the apple fritters and cinnamon rolls are. The maple bacon donut was awesome; generous amount of fresh bacon- nice to eat a maple bacon donut that lacks that bacon bits quality of too crunchy and too old. The cruller was huge and the coffee was good.I should mention their coffee selection does not include crafted espresso drinks. They have hot drip coffee with flavored syrups, cold brew, and a cappuccino machine. I had the drip coffee with syrup and it was very good. Little dairy free creamer pods are also available. Very nice local alternative to chain restauraunts.

Donuts are absolutely delicious. They have the right combination of actual donut versus sugar so you dont feel like youre just eating sugary go with no actual flavor . The apple fritter is amazing! Prices are so much better than other donut shops in the area.

A delicious experience! I have been looking for a new donut shop since my favorite spot close to home closed a few years ago. The staff is highly friendly, and the establishment is kept quite clean. The café/lounge area is a great place to visit with friends or work/study online. You MUST visit this spot if you are a donut lover.

I came here after many other suggestions from local folks, and it absolutely did not disappoint! Not only do they have the most amazingly huge delicious donuts in a large variety, but they also have ice cream (my kid has everything she needs, hellooo), and coffee! I dont understand why people really like these bland donuts, Ive had them multiple times and have never been impressed, but better than nothing of course. Friendly, Fast, and Delicious! Donuts Company is worth a visit. You have to try their cinnamon rolls. They have a fantastic and wide selection. They even still have the old school jelly donuts that you can’t find at Dunkin any more.

This is a great donut shop. So many unique, classic, and special donuts and pastries. You have to check out their apple fritter and cinnamon swirl donut. Theyre enormous and so freshly made. The coffee is excellent and plenty of great seating for your family and friends.

6:45 AM. Went in to get an apple fritter. They werent quite ready. But the cinnamon rolls had just hit the display case. The outside was too crispy, the inside was too soft. There was too much butter and cinnamon in the middle. The glaze was too sweet. It was too big. Im kidding, it was AWESOME !!!

This place is amazing; the best around. So many in our network have made the switch to Donuts Company because the staff actually make it seem like they want your business and arent so inconvenienced by, you know, ordering donuts at a donut place. Who would have thought that basic mentality is a new bar, but alas, here we are. These donuts are fluffy and amazing. Good but not overly sugar-ed. Also, they are the biggest dang things youll find anywhere. Super soft. Everything you want in a donut!!

My only complaint is that a donut should always be warm -- not cooled to room temperature. But, I hope they will improve!

Country Style spin off has great, fresh donuts without the hipster premium (and attitude). As many have mentioned, the apple fritters and cinnamon rolls are immense - size of 5+ donuts. Mostly classic flavors and donut holes. If there is a negative, coffee game could be better.

Donut Company is our new family favorite in town! We love the friendliness, cleanliness and delicious donuts!! Plus the hot coffee is great. The kids love their children’s table too.

Maybe it was a bad batch? I dont know. Highly rated but the donuts here are not that great. Cheap? Absolutely. Got a dozen for $13. Heavy, good sized donuts with good variety. If youre looking for specialty donuts, this is not your place. You can get a lot of classic flavors and styles here though; powdered, plain, old fashion, Boston creme, etc.Everything seemed like it was going to be great until I ate the plain. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, again, seemed really good. But layered into the crispy, was oil. I know how donuts are made, but I never had a donut with oil like this. And maybe Im just not a donut connoisseur and Im griping about something normal, but I ate it and it made me sick. I might give them another try, but not any time soon.

Donuts Company is always great! Ive been there many, many times and Im always amazed the doughnuts. I will say that yesterdays buttercream doughnut didnt actually have any filling in it -- it must have been an oversight because one of the things that I really like about Donuts Company is that normally they dont skimp stuff all on filling.

This place is incredible. My father inlaw works nearby and raves about it so I tried it and it blows the chain places outta the water. We got a variety and loved everything we tried. The jelly, apple spice, and coconut cake were our favorites. They are huge and fresh and the staff is very friendly. I love the large variety. We will be back.

The shop has a nice selection of donuts. Its a independent operation that just opened up at that location not long ago. I had stopped in to get a dozen donuts to take to my wife and her teacher friends at the school where she teaches. The powdered strawberry filled was good and my wife liked the maple bacon donut that I picked out as well.

We have never left a review for any business, but this shop earned it tonight! Great service, everything was so clean and the lady behind the counter was very nice and professional. Cant wait to go back to try the coffee!

This is one of the better donut places in Richmond according to a local with a penchant for donuts. We tried a variety of their treats and were VERY pleased! The price is reasonable, the employees are very polite helpful, and they even offer flavored creamers for your coffee if thats your thing.Their old fashioned donut is PERFECT - a great crunch on the outside, a soft cake inside thats slightly dense, and they arent overly sweet. Honestly, it is the best old fashioned donut Ive had anywhere in the USA! Their modern donuts are appropriately sweet and do not disappoint (the blueberry is just fantastic!).

We stopped in today for the first time and were not disappointed! We grabbed two giant eclairs and a half dozen donuts to take home. The eclairs were awesome! I was worried filling might be a little scant due to the sheer size of them, but perfect is the only word I can use to describe them.Their donuts are amazing. More cake based flavors than yeast based, which is my personal preference and a HUGE collection / variety of their filled donuts.Super clean, super friendly, and definitely will be my go-to donut shop from here on.

Some of the best donuts! Especially the glazed: perfectly browned and not overly sugary. The owner has lots of experience making delicious donuts here in Richmond and I’m glad he’s opened this business on the south side of the river. I’ll be a regular I’m sure.

These guys put out some really decent donuts. Just because something is huge doesnt guarantee quality... but these guys do a good job. Injecting fritters with filling must be an East Coast thing (as opposed to cutting the filling into the dough). My favorite are the old fashioned/buttermilk donuts.

So I judged this placed pretty hard. I drove by and was like another donut shop... I know the best donuts in Richmond. I heard from a friend it was pretty good so I stopped in one day. Let me tell you, this place dont play when it comes to donuts. You want a cinnamon roll? How about one the size of your head? They have the best glazed crawler I have ever had in my life. It was so good I walked back inside just to tell the owner how good it was. Ive been to Kk, Dd, SS, duck, every donut shop in the area and these folks are killin it.

These are about a half-step above Dunkin donuts, dont let the reviews fool you. They have a lot of the standard flavors and they are fine donuts, but they are not on the same level as duck, sugar shack, or country style

TO me, these are by far the best donuts in this area of the Richmond Metro. If you love Country Style donuts, near the airport, you’re going to love these. Absolutely huge cinnamon buns and apple fritters, The best cake donuts around, best tasting and best value.We used to go to Sugar shack, because it was the only one in this area that was ”OK”, without having to drive all the way over to the airport, but with Donuts Company, I don’t see any need to go anywhere else.

Awesome addition to the Richmond area donut scene and refreshing break from the prices and inconsistency of Sugar Shack!This little, locally owned shop is convenient and quick. They have an excellent selection of your standby donuts(glazed, cake, boston cremes, etc.) As well as large renditions of your special variety (eclairs, holes, cinnamon roles, and the biggest apple fritter Ive seen!)They also serve a decent cup of coffee if you need a beverage with your sweet tooth.If you cant do the simple, basic things well then theres no sense in being overly creative. Compared to the other donut places in town, donuts company does it well.

Very clean, well maintained, made fresh every day, and SO YUMMY!!! DELICIOUS! They also have a cinnamon roll for $3.09 that is at least 9 inches across! Enough for a whole family ( pie size!!). The server was so sweet, very friendly and courteous. (Must wear a mask right now to go inside. ) Priced about same as Krispy Kreme... I prefer these glazed donuts over KKs!

Ive just returned home from this little donut shop, and had great service while there. Along the way home, I popped several of the most scrumptious blueberry donut holes. Now, here at home? Im eating a maple bacon donut, and its fantastic. I also picked up the most ridiculous apple fritter I think the world has ever seen; its practically the size of a dinner plate, and neither seems shy on apple or glaze. Yum!I look forward to my next visit, because Ill be back for sure.

Read about affiliation with Country Donuts and had to try Asap. Really light and fluffy and the cake ones had the right texture. Much better than the chains and we should support the small businesses.

I dont need to go to Country Style Donuts near Richmond International Airport any longer. The Lebanese family that runs their location at the airport and West Broad Street has an in-law who opened up a donut outpost near Home Depot, Koger Center and Johnston Willis Hospital and the recipe is the same. Friendly service. Open 6AM-9PM except Sunday.

This is my go-to place for doughnuts. They are absolutely the best Ive found in Richmond, bar the doughnut food truck at South of the James Farmers Market. The apple fritter is phenomenal--but call ahead, as they run out early. They have plenty of seating, and a TV, where you can relax and enjoy.
